The hospital and doctors are great. Their scheduling and nurses are... awful. Twice in the last year, a doctor has said, "We'll schedule you for surgery," only for it never to be scheduled. One time, they made me wait for insurance approval and then never scheduled anything. I had to call three times before reaching the insurance department, where someone said, "Oh, the authorization is here." I finally gave up on the physical therapy my doctor prescribed because the department has no availability and never responds when I try to change an appointment. The woman on the phone literally cannot view or schedule it. I submit a request and wait three days for someone in PT to review it. It is easier to go to any of the many other PT clinics around town.

I went to the hospital or hotel for a medical checkup. The process was fast, efficient, and impressive. The hotel provided a meal, and the food nearby was also delicious, especially the congee—it was wonderful!

I highly recommend Bumrungrad International Hospital! I recently took my son there for a checkup, but on our way out of the hotel lobby, I had a minor accident that left me with a few scratches on my hand. When my son’s doctor noticed my injury, she didn't hesitate to help. She immediately brought out a first aid kit, cleaned the scratches, and bandaged my hand, completely free of charge. I am incredibly grateful for her kindness and outstanding care!

A hospital we all agree has always been number one. It has a full team of doctors, nurses, and staff ready to help, along with patient rooms in a range of sizes. AIA customers with comprehensive insurance can stay without worrying about room charges. If you do not have insurance yet, message Khim. #WithKhimYouHaveSomeoneToCareForYou #KhimAIA

It feels like a commercial hospital. The costs are very high, and the itemized charges are unclear. Appointments are also frequently delayed. It did not meet my expectations.
31/05/2026
Very bad hospital, check-in took forever even though I came in advanced and that there were almost no patient waiting. I came here to see a specialist, I was ready to pay a higher price as long as it was a top notch doctor, and I was very disappointed. I did a basic consultation and doctor did a test I said I already did and had it with me to show him but he didn't listen and did it without saying it would be a fee. Overall I paid almost 7k baht for some basic service. I've been to lots of hospital and had way better services at places that would be called lower quality than here. I won't recommend at all unless what you want is mostly a fancy building, because that's only thing nice here.
31/05/2026
One of the worst hospitals I have ever visited. Check-in was slow despite there being almost no line. The doctor arrived 30 minutes late even though I had an appointment and arrived 30 minutes early. A basic consultation was outrageously expensive. It took almost 20 minutes just to get my medication at the pharmacy counter. In short, you pay a high price for service you do not receive. The building is nice, but that is all. Horrible experience. I do not recommend it, and it is definitely not worth the price.

During my trip to Thailand, I unfortunately fractured my ankle. Being in a foreign country made the situation even more stressful, but Dr. Chaiwat Piyaskulchai (M.D.) provided me with meticulous care, putting me at ease from the very first consultation. I hope my message reaches him! Their kindness, patience, and professionalism made this difficult experience much more manageable. They explained everything very clearly, cared for me attentively, and always ensured I felt comfortable and confident in my recovery. I sincerely thank them for their support and treatment. Thank you for helping me through this challenging time. I will always remember your care and professionalism, and I highly recommend you to anyone in need of orthopedic treatment.

I only have outpatient visits there, and the cost is not too expensive. Communicating in simple English is much easier than in Japanese. The first visit requires a long wait, but the second visit has almost no waiting time.
05/06/2026
From admission to discharge, the entire process is well-organized. For patients seeking high-quality medical services and valuing comfort and smooth procedures, this is an ideal choice.

I have visited this hospital many times. Most recently, I needed to bring my nephew with me. While I accompanied my mother into the exam room to see the doctor in the Horizon department, I had my nephew wait outside. When I came out, I saw a very heartwarming scene: my nephew was curled up comfortably under a hospital blanket. The staff in the department, whose names I forgot to ask, took excellent care of him. Their attention to small details was incredibly reassuring. Please pass along my compliments.

The environment and food are both excellent, and the service is particularly good.
22/04/2026
The best medical care with excellent service. I highly recommend it. The best hospital ever!!
22/04/2026
A wonderful clinic. Everything is fast, efficient, and professional, and all tests and examinations can be completed in one place within 1-2 days. The availability of an interpreter is a major benefit. I am especially grateful to the interpreter, Alina, for her attentiveness, professionalism, and responsiveness. I was left with the warmest and most positive impressions.

I was hospitalized here for 2 nights with influenza A and received excellent service from the moment I arrived. A staff member provided a wheelchair from the car all the way to the doctor, and someone offered me a blanket because I was shivering badly. Once the doctor learned that I had Flu A, I was admitted immediately. I had not prepared any clothes or belongings and could only call my family. The care in my room was excellent because the staff knew I was staying alone without a relative. The nurses were very attentive and checked my temperature regularly, even at 1 a.m. on each of the 2 nights. I also had a severe migraine, and the nurses coordinated to find migraine pain medication for me. Although it was not my usual medicine, it provided initial relief. I was so impressed by that experience that I have remained a regular patient here.
02/04/2026
Excellent care with little waiting. Every step was explained in detail, the staff were very attentive, and the blood draw was completely painless.
02/04/2026
The staff explained everything very well, in detail, and in an easy-to-understand way.
02/04/2026
Clean, modern facility. Efficient processing. Kind staff. Firm doctors.
02/04/2026
I came here for a second opinion after two doctors gave me only 8 minutes to make a life-changing decision. I was upset and crying, and ultimately decided to go to Bumrungrad. From my first contact with the online team, everything was fast, smooth, and professional. I sent my records in advance, and when I arrived, everyone already understood my condition and why I was there. There was no repetition or wasted time. My attending physician, ENT and head and neck surgeon Dr. Vitchaphan Hemrungrojn, spent more than an hour answering every question in detail. He clearly explained my condition, the reasoning behind the different treatment options, and why other doctors might hold different opinions. Most importantly, he gave me clarity and more options. Even if the treatment ultimately had not succeeded, this consultation restored my confidence in healthcare. Thank you very much. The inpatient experience was also excellent. Housekeeping cleaned the room several times a day and kept it fully stocked with medical supplies. The food was wonderful, and meals quickly became something I looked forward to. The rehabilitation team and all support staff were highly professional and supportive. The nursing staff were especially outstanding: proactive, attentive, and very considerate. Every day, I could feel that they genuinely cared rather than merely performing their duties. I was almost reluctant to leave. The hospital itself is very comfortable and close to the Nana BTS station on Sukhumvit, making visits convenient for friends and family. My floor had recently been renovated and was essentially new. There was space for dining and rehabilitation exercises, which made recovery easier. The hospital also offers interpretation in several languages, a major advantage for people who are not fluent in English or Thai. If there is one drawback, outpatient care is expensive. This is well known in Bangkok and usually surprises only uninsured tourists. Some people say the hospital is busy, but that is exactly what I wanted. You would not choose an empty steakhouse; I want my chef focused at a hot grill. I needed surgery, so I wanted an experienced surgeon. If you need inpatient care, this hospital should be among your top three choices. Why not number one? Everyone’s needs differ, and results may vary, so do your research. It is expensive, but simply put, it may be the best hospital in Asia.
10/03/2026
Very good experience.
10/03/2026
Excellent. Everything was impeccable, from the medical care to the kindness of every hospital staff member.
11/03/2026
I came here only for my third vaccine dose. It had already been arranged by another Thai hospital and doctor and stamped on my calendar. They insisted I first see one of their doctors to confirm that the vaccine was valid, purely to charge more money. This hospital is shameless!
11/03/2026
**Misleading process and unnecessary charges** I contacted the hospital through WhatsApp specifically to purchase medical equipment—ostomy bags. Instead of checking inventory, they made me see a doctor for a vital-sign check, which was completely unnecessary for buying simple equipment. After the consultation, they told me the item was not in stock. Even so, I was charged 2,000 baht. This felt less like healthcare and more like a disguised attempt to collect money. I am very disappointed by the lack of transparency.

My 18 months old Babyboy had serious diarrhea earlier this week while we were on a trip to bangkok. Decided to visit Bumnungrad. Wait was short and we met pediatrician shortly. She suggested admission to ward to prevent dehydration. My kid recovered well after a night on fluid. The ward was clean and convenient just like hotel especially towards patients family members. There were so many hands very detailed on every aspect. They switched the crib to regular bed and lowered bed height so that we can merge and sleep together and even put a yoga mat besides to avoid fall. The staff were polite professional and caring. They tried to stay quiet while taking kids vitals in middle of night and did quick clean on the restroom and kitchen area within seconds. We felt the warmth and care through details like this. The pediatrician visits us often and provided full details of medical record bills and documents necessary for insurance. The price isn't cheap but the service definitely meets it's price. I will recommend this place.

Generous portions.
21/02/2026
I cannot believe I paid 3000 baht for this appointment; I would have been better off seeing a doctor at home. She could barely understand me, and it felt like a scam. This was an endocrinology consultation.
21/02/2026
This place is full of energy.
31/01/2026
Definitely!

I am very satisfied with the hospital and all the services provided. 👍 I was seen in the emergency room, and the staff were attentive and caring.
09/01/2026
Do not download the hospital's app. They only use it to sell things. Disgusting! I am glad the hospital values sales as much as it values medical care.
10/01/2026
Phenomenal hospital; Phenomenal Doctors; Phenomenal Nurses with affordable care. I was beyond impressed and thankful for such personalized care.
11/01/2026
I use this hospital often and come here whenever I am ill. However, when I had surgery here in November 2025, one thing that needed improvement was the air-conditioning noise. When the air conditioner was off, there was a constant rhythmic beeping sound that was very disruptive for a patient who wanted quiet rest and was too sensitive to cold to turn the air conditioner on. The construction noise upstairs was simply bad luck because I happened to be admitted during this period. A staff member informed me one day before admission.
12/01/2026
Very professional.
20/12/2025
My experience at this hospital was terrible, and the doctor I encountered was irresponsible and lazy. A medication I depend on was denied because the doctor could not be bothered to transfer it from another hospital and prohibited me from continuing it simply because he did not want to arrange it. He is a pain-management doctor. Shameful! There is an obvious disconnect between hospitals and people who truly need help, and this hospital handles it very poorly. This country is afraid of legitimate medication because of politics, bureaucratic corruption, and inefficiency. You might expect doctors and hospitals to remain fair despite government pressure, but they do not; everything is about money. This hospital truly harmed me. I have completely lost faith in the healthcare system.
20/12/2025
I developed severe cellulitis and could not move because the pain under local anesthesia was unbearable, so I ultimately needed surgery under general anesthesia. The doctor who cared for me from the start spoke excellent English and was highly skilled!
21/12/2025
Five-star hospital

It was the middle of the night, and I was alone in Bangkok. I had severe gastroenteritis and feared it was something worse. I took a Grab and ended up at this wonderful hospital. The service was excellent at every level. The staff were considerate and professional. I would definitely return and bring my loved ones here!
30/11/2025
I recently had an accident while traveling alone in Thailand and underwent surgery followed by a seven-night stay at Bumrungrad. I cannot praise the medical care enough. The surgery was very successful, and the postoperative care was impeccable. I was kept informed throughout and given options at every step. The medical staff were highly skilled and exceptionally thorough and attentive. The nurse-to-patient ratio was also high. The food was excellent, mostly Thai dishes but with a wide selection and usually Western options as well. After returning to Australia, my doctors were very pleased with the surgery and care I received. It was not inexpensive, of course, but that is what travel insurance is for. Bumrungrad is a private hospital, so costs are expected, and I believe the excellent service made it well worth the money.

Good.
06/11/2025
I am a loyal patient.
06/11/2025
Service is always very late, with waits everywhere.
07/11/2025
I prearranged 2 surgeries here. Did initial doctor visit upon arrival in Thailand, had surgery 3 days later was in the hospital for 2 additional days. Surgeries went very well, the care in the hospital was SUPERB. Truly my best hospital experience ever. I highly recommend this hospital.
14/10/2025
Met every goal.
15/10/2025
Great product!
15/10/2025
I submitted an appointment request, but no one followed up within the expected time, which was disappointing. I had to call the next day to confirm it myself. For a hospital of this caliber, I expected better communication and a faster response. I visit Bumrungrad Hospital every year for a health checkup. Although the overall service and facilities are good, there are still major bottlenecks in the process, especially for mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and abdominal ultrasounds of the upper and lower abdomen. The wait between each test and the final physician consultation is extremely long and frustrating. The scheduling systems for technicians and doctors do not seem synchronized. The hospital should seriously improve this process and consider assigning more doctors to these bottleneck areas, especially during busy mornings. In addition, the complimentary breakfast is very basic and does not meet the standard of a world-class hospital. I hope Bumrungrad Hospital will review and improve this process so patients can have a smoother and more efficient health-check experience.

A modern hospital in the middle of Bangkok. People from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and middle east come here for better treatment. The have translators to help you converse. There are lots of restaurants also. But a bit expensive

Happy with everything!

I received treatment and was quickly scheduled for foot and ankle surgery under Dr. Chamnanit Rungprai. He is an excellent doctor who always patiently explains conditions in clear, understandable terms. He arranged a thorough examination to determine whether surgery was necessary. This hospital has very high standards. From the stretcher team to the ward, every staff member was dedicated and provided excellent service. The nurses on the 12th floor were also very attentive.
25/09/2025
Excellent!
25/09/2025
I have personally used this hospital since my husband's surgery and the births of our 2 children. Whenever our children are ill, they are treated and admitted here. I would like the private pediatric rooms to be expanded. On 2 visits, no private room was available, and the wait was so long that we sometimes had to be admitted elsewhere. My family and I like this hospital and are impressed by every aspect of its service. It is so good that we truly do not want to use another hospital.
26/09/2025
Great place!
16/09/2025
Without a doubt.
16/09/2025
I had a wonderful experience at the hospital this morning when I went for a couple of appointments with consultants. The hospital staff I interacted with were all very polite, quick and efficient (minimal wait times) and both Drs I met with were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Paying at the cashiers was also very efficient. All in all it was an exceptional experience and I couldn’t have hoped for better.
17/09/2025
Truly amazing.
17/09/2025
Definitely one of the world's leading hospitals in every respect... patient experience, physicians' medical expertise, management, cleanliness, friendliness, modern facilities and equipment, and more.
17/09/2025
Five surgeries over 7 years... The best... Excellent staff...
06/09/2025
07/09/2025
Simply the best.
08/09/2025
Received treatment at the emergency room for flu symptoms. The nurses were unmannered, indifferent survives and interrupting the conversation while I was consulting with the doctor. Unreasonable charges. The nurses charged me 1,200 baht for nursing care only for checking Body Temperature and Blood Pressure (Not including the doctor fee , hospital charges , and medication costs)
08/09/2025
Stands out from the competition.
08/09/2025
This is where I belong.
28/08/2025
28/08/2025
The doctors and nurses are wonderful. However, after checkout they make you wait more than 90 minutes for medication and a paper copy of the bill. Even when the hospital is nearly empty, with fewer than 8 patients waiting, the cashier takes hours. We paid 5,500 baht for rabies vaccinations. This hospital is outrageously expensive. I just heard another person complain that he was charged 100,000 baht for a simple endoscopy. Healthcare in Thailand is a joke.
28/08/2025
The worst hospital I have ever seen. Newly admitted patients are charged unnecessary fees, and after treatment they make you wait several hours to receive medication from the pharmacy.
30/08/2025
Excellent service!
07/08/2025
08/08/2025
I came here on the recommendation of another hospital in Bangkok, but the cost was high and the wait far too long. They kept me waiting excessively.
08/08/2025
This hospital treats you well only the first time to win you over. Once they get your payment, they lose interest in your case — follow-up and patient care drop to almost zero, no matter how many times you contact them. I suggest any hospitals in Bangkok rather than Bumrungrad
09/08/2025
One of the best hospitals in the world.
09/08/2025
One star deducted for each problem area. The doctor visit and lab work went smoothly, but then the “3 Ps”—parking, payment, and pharmacy—took over two hours. Disorganized scheduling and wasted time.
23/07/2025
27/07/2025
There is heavy traffic, making it difficult to enter and leave, but the place looks attractive and luxurious. It is as comfortable as staying in a hotel and offers good value.
28/07/2025
Bumrungrad Hospital has been my preferred hospital since 2009. I have my annual physical there almost every year, and the quality of service is excellent. I have also had several minor procedures there and visited specialists many times. I highly recommend this hospital to everyone. All the staff are kind, attentive, professional, and trustworthy.
29/07/2025
Probably one of the best local hospitals in the neighborhood, and it has been nicely renovated. The staff are friendly and very helpful. As a foreigner who came for a full-body check-up, I have no complaints. There’s even a small area with free bottled water for those who need it. The only downside is the long waiting time between the nurse and doctor, which could be more efficient. On the bright side, Wi-Fi coverage is excellent. Pros • Clean and well-maintained • Good overall standards • Free bottled water available • Free and wide Wi-Fi coverage Cons • Long waiting time between nurse and doctor Probably one of the best local hospitals in the neighborhood, and it has been nicely renovated. The staff are very kind and friendly. As a foreigner who came for a health checkup, I have no complaints. There is even an area with free bottled water for those who need it. Would not recommend if you have digestive disease. My doctor did not see my GI symptoms as an interconnected link with digestive issues, rather putting my symptoms into different specialization boxes (so seeing different specialists). I came in with stomach issues and the GI doctor said that my symptoms are not within his specialization, that some of these digestive symptoms are not linked to GI and that I should see a different department. He said he can only test my gallbladder, pancreas, and small intestines because that is all he does. Seriously? As a doctor, you don’t see GI symptoms being all connected? Super frustrating and confusing to hear as a patient, that the doctor only concentrated on his area of medicine and refuses to understand the whole picture, when in fact everything is connected to each other. Will not come back to this type of medical care and that overcharges ridiculously.
17/07/2025
I saw the doctor and returned the next day for a follow-up. Incredibly, he was 30 minutes late both times. He also acted as though he did not care much about what I said. In fact, I had to request testing; otherwise, he would have discharged me without any examination to confirm whether my health was normal. This is not what we expect from an award-winning hospital.
18/07/2025
A line of 20 people at the cashier is absurd. It is not normal for so many people to remain in such a crowded space for so long. Or is this an experiment to make everyone cross-infect one another?
19/07/2025
A once reputable trusted Hospital sadly converted into low service quality one. A hospital which does not take accountability for their inferiority in service and standards. A fall from grace to the end of the reviews, see screenshots. After several years with them it’s time to switch. I am by all means not that only person with that experience, see detailed reviews. Please see the reviews and see the low level compared with there competitors. I asked to speak to a manager to address my concerns. But manager was off duty. A place with thousands of employees and hundreds of guests is just a disgrace. Please fellow reader do not get sidelined with shiny lobbies, hallways and views. I rather want service empathy, skills, service and the right amount of medication rather a nice lobby, however what is left of Bimrungrad is an overcrowded pharmacy rather hospital. Good bye after 7 years of tolerating and accepting the convenience of staying with the doctor rather choosing the best.
20/07/2025
21/07/2025
Excellent hospitality.
19/02/2025
Before I even entered the hospital, the security guard waved me away. Then, as the car was about to leave, he waved me in. After waiting, I tried to enter when he waved, but I could not because there was a red light by the road.
19/02/2025
I was asked to pay 360 euros for a simple blood test. I wasted 1.5 hours fasting and following all their protocols. Although I asked about the price from the beginning, I did not receive an answer until after speaking with many people. Charging such a high price for a simple blood test is ridiculous.
19/02/2025
The hospital is excellent, but self-pay patients should know that it is considered the most expensive hospital in Thailand and has the best doctors. Goodness, you cannot tell whether it is a hospital, hotel, or shopping mall.
20/02/2025
Two days ago while traveling in Bangkok, my son vomited repeatedly after eating at a buffet. In the early morning, we found this well-reviewed hospital on Google Maps. The reception staff were very helpful and quickly provided a wheelchair for my son, which deserves praise. When the doctor examined him, I mentioned that he had vomited after the buffet and had some stomach pain, but she ignored my comment about the food. She pressed firmly on his abdomen, especially the lower right side, and asked whether it hurt; he said mildly. She then recommended blood tests and a CT scan, requiring an upfront payment of 15,000 baht. While we waited, a nurse gave him two medications that relieved his condition. Blood tests showed elevated neutrophils. The doctor suspected appendicitis and recommended a CT scan costing more than an additional 40,000 baht. I searched online and found that elevated neutrophils do not necessarily mean appendicitis. My sister, a patient care professional, consulted a physician in our home country. Based on the blood results, they also felt appendicitis was uncertain. Because we had an immediate flight out of Bangkok, I asked the doctor for medication to temporarily relieve his symptoms until we could obtain care at home. However, the doctor appeared very anxious and serious and said she could not provide medication because appendicitis precluded air travel. After I persisted, she relented and provided 10 Buscopan tablets for an additional 1,335 baht. We sought care immediately after returning home. He was diagnosed with gastroenteritis and recovered fully yesterday after taking medication. Thank God I made a wise decision.

My mother took my son to see a gastroenterologist. I do not know whether we were simply unlucky, but the doctor spoke rudely, became emotional, and shouted at both my mother and son. Patients understand when spoken to politely, yet foreign patients receive markedly different language and service. This shows a serious lack of medical ethics. A leading hospital of this level should provide equal service to everyone.

I came here for food poisoning that I had been dealing with for 5 days. Booking a same-day appointment through WhatsApp was easy and encouraging. Registration and the initial nursing assessment went fairly smoothly, and the staff was kind. However, the doctor, Yudhtana Sattawatthamrong, was ultimately 30 minutes late and saw me for 4 minutes, which I timed, with no apparent interest. He barely asked me anything, did not allow me to ask questions, and essentially rushed me out with the nurse to wait for medication. It was one of the worst medical visits of my life. Treating someone this way is outrageous. I understand that 99% of food-poisoning cases may receive the same prescription, but you expect some engagement from the doctor to reassure you and put you at ease. Even a simple "Do not worry, I see this all the time and you will recover soon" would have improved the visit. A simple course of antibiotics took 1.5 hours in total. The consultation cost 5,000 baht and included a 5-day course of Cipro. After the "consultation," expect to wait through 3 more stages: 1) Waiting for them to bring you the forms. A note here: the nurse gave me the forms in the public waiting area and discussed my condition loudly, with no regard for privacy. 2) Waiting at the payment counter. 3) Waiting at the pharmacy counter. Consider any other clinic, or pay attention to which doctor is assigned to you. I could just as easily have had a phone consultation with a random doctor and collected the antibiotics myself.

Bangkok Hospital is well organized and convenient, possibly the best, but it is expensive.

I was upset today, 2/16. "I want to complain about the security guard directing traffic in the parking lot. He looked angry and frustrated when I stopped instead of entering the parking lot. I stopped because patients and doctors were crossing the road and I wanted to let them pass. But the guard kept signaling for me to accelerate and move forward. He also looked angry and pointed at me in a commanding manner."

Stay away from this place!!!! An absolutely terrible experience. They are cheating people!!! 1. We contacted customer service to book an ophthalmologist and were told the consultation would cost between 1,000 and 3,000 baht. This was already very unclear, and the operator could not explain why the fee varied by 3 times. 2. After the consultation, we were charged a doctor's fee of 2,400 baht plus a nurse's fee of 595 baht. What is this? Why were we not told about this extra fee when booking? ... This feels very much like cheating. The cashier would not discuss or explain it, so we had no choice but to pay. Do not repeat our mistake!! Do not pay an extra $18 fee you were not told about. Very disappointed 🥲🥲🥲🥲 This seems to be a highly commercialized place that charges foreigners the highest prices. Avoid it.
31/01/2025
This hospital's management and owners need to be investigated for allowing some doctors to engage in long-term malpractice and price gouging (they charge 200%–300% more for prescription drugs than outside pharmacies, which violates Thai law). This hospital appears to care only about profit, not patients' health or well-being. If you are a foreigner, I recommend avoiding this place!
31/01/2025
Very well organized, from reception and the physician interview to the professional expertise, a quick introduction to the modern rooms, and the extremely attentive staff available around the clock after admission. All diagnoses and management are documented, and communication with Reis KV was smooth. There is also an on-site visa office for overstays and a very good menu... You feel well cared for here.

I had a health screening. An examination gown, slippers, shawl, and hair clip were provided. I heard it would take about four hours, but I finished in three. The test results are available the same day, with an explanation at the end. I was glad to finally hear from Mr. Hyakutake. I could also request a specific gynecologist. The operation is very efficient, and I hope to return next year.

Expect to pay twice the package price or more. It does not include consultations, actual testing, hospital fees, nursing fees, equipment, and so on. Very disappointed..

A large private hospital suitable for all visitors. All staff speak English very well. Registration was very easy, and after a long search, I finally found the medication I urgently needed.
23/01/2025
Please train the staff as well. I came to pick something up. Why was I not allowed into the building?
24/01/2025
This was a terrible experience and my first time receiving this type of service at this hospital. (I never expected this to happen to me. I had seen reviews saying the service was poor, but thought a private hospital should not be like this. Then it happened to me, just as the one-star reviews described.) First, the emergency room setup was strange. Patients and people waiting to make final payments sat together. It was crowded everywhere, and there was no clear separation of different patient types. The atmosphere felt like a government hospital, although this is one of the country’s leading private hospitals. The doctor who examined me may have been stressed by the number of patients or something else. You came to examine me, yet said you did not want to provide treatment because I had insurance. You said you were afraid the insurer would not pay or cover it and did not want to answer insurance-related questions. Is this treatment? You might as well post a sign saying your hospital accepts only self-paying patients so people do not come in. The doctor knew I had insurance and said my symptoms could be treated at home. Really? I had abdominal pain, diarrhea about ten times, severe fatigue, dry mouth, and a pale complexion. You measured my blood pressure, found it normal, and told me to go home, drink plenty of water, and it would pass. I could not believe it. The doctor behaved as though this were a government or community hospital. The doctor also said he pays 20,000 baht a year for insurance and has never used it, then asked why I came for treatment and wanted to use mine. I understand, doctor. At the time, I wanted to reply, “I earn hundreds of thousands or millions a year and keep insurance for when I need it.” I did not want to waste time arguing because I was enduring abdominal pain. The more I saw of this doctor, the more I wanted to give up on receiving treatment there. Is this really a doctor at one of the country’s top private hospitals? He behaved like a government-hospital doctor. Ultimately, I did not receive care there. I paid for my time and a few brief minutes with the doctor, which cost nearly 3,000 baht. I did not want to discuss it further at the time, so I paid quickly and went elsewhere for treatment. The service at the other hospital was much better. I hope the hospital reviews every stage of patient care, its selection of doctors, and staff attitudes so they are appropriate for a leading private hospital rather than a public hospital in the capital. Government hospitals in the city now provide better development and service than you do. If you want to protect your reputation, you should change.

They do not know how to work with patients! Telephone service is terrible, and the staff do not know what they are doing.

Excellent service and professionalism from the Bumrungrad International team.

Not as expensive as before.

The care was terrible during both visits, and I will never return. Do not waste your time.
19/10/2024
The behavior of emergency room nurse Kwanchanok was extremely poor and unacceptable. The emergency room is meant to save lives. She is not suited to work at this hospital, whose standards are otherwise excellent, because she brings the entire hospital into disrepute.
19/10/2024
I am American and came here on business. I developed a cold that turned into a respiratory infection and needed medical care. Bumrungrad was amazing. I used their telemedicine service from my hotel room. The emergency physician consultation, medication, and delivery of the medication directly to my hotel room cost less than $150. I highly recommend this hospital. Very friendly people and prompt service. Thank you 🙏🏻
17/10/2024
A generally good hospital, but even if you send your insurance information in advance and it is not your first visit, they do not submit a request to the insurer and simply send you to the appointment. Be sure to verify your coverage every day. At times, it also feels as though they are simply trying to upsell services, even when those services do not really address the problem. I would therefore probably return for illnesses, fractures, and similar issues, but I would think twice before receiving rehabilitation or other treatment or diagnostic services. Invoices are also sometimes unclear.

Long wait for a health checkup: 4 hours
14/10/2024
Went to Bumrungrad Hospital for a checkup today. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment, but still had to wait another hour past our booked time. On top of that, we were charged for the service, yet we sat for an hour, they did not really help, and they kept pushing the time back.
15/10/2024
Pros: Very clean, well-organized hospital with adequate staffing Doctors keep to their schedules The location is acceptable, though more affordable nearby hotels would be appreciated, even if that is not something the hospital can control Cons Very, very expensive for international visitors Our doctor performed the surgery but was never available afterward. His deputy attended to us. Given the cost, we would have appreciated the doctor making more time for patients paying such high fees. The staff do not speak English well
06/10/2024
Good service.
06/10/2024
A very sophisticated hospital. Despite being busy, all the staff are kind and pleasant, interpreters are available in every department, and test results are ready the same day. I noticed that they are extremely careful at every step. If something truly requires surgery, they tell you; if it does not, they do not operate. Their manner felt honest and direct. Prices are very high, but the care is worth it, and health matters most. This is a hospital in the fullest sense and deserves seven stars. The service is first-class. May God protect them. I am very happy and comfortable with the hospital, even though I paid 30,000 Saudi riyals for examinations for four people. Anyone who wants a thorough checkup should come here, provided they have sufficient funds and do not mind the cost.
06/10/2024
It's a great hospital and good service. You can get all needs near the hospital and also they have some restaurants and coffee shops in the B building. It's an expensive hospital, but as the service, doctors, and treatments, we can say exceptable
06/10/2024
A very poor hospital in every respect. I am surprised Gulf patients come here. I brought my brother for an eye examination and a comprehensive checkup. I gave one star for these reasons: First: poor treatment and hours of waiting. Second: they care more about money than the patient. Third: after you wait all day, they suddenly switch you to another doctor. Fourth: Gulf patients have given their treatments more credit than they deserve.

Founded in 1980, Bumrungrad International Hospital has been a global pioneer in world-class medical services and international patient support for nearly four decades. It is located in central Bangkok, Thailand, a cosmopolitan city nicknamed the ‘City of Angels’ and known for its welcoming culture and cuisine. Bumrungrad International Hospital is an internationally recognized multispecialty hospital listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand since 1989. It is one of Southeast Asia’s largest private hospitals, caring for more than 1.1 million patients from over 190 countries each year.

The allergy department’s first-come, first-served policy is terrible. Proper appointments cannot be scheduled, and time is wasted because the number of referred patients is unknown. 😣

I had a terrible experience with a bad doctor, though I am not blaming the hospital. My foot hurt so badly that I could not walk. The doctor only tapped my foot, examined my leg, and asked what I had done. After I explained, he said my foot was fine and the pain was not inflammation. I asked for a thorough examination because I had been injured for over a month and asked whether I could stay overnight. The doctor asked whether I wanted to spend money and looked unfriendly. I said I had insurance, but he said my leg looked normal and questioned whether insurance would pay, even though no test results were available. I said he was a doctor, not the insurance company, and that I had sought care because of the pain. He went quiet. . He then ordered an X-ray and blood test. As I had said, the results were normal because it was a muscle injury. He said this was normal. I said I wanted to stay overnight because of the severe pain and have a full examination. He said I could take medicine and sleep just as I would at home. Then why did I come to the hospital? He finally agreed to an overnight stay, and I waited for the nurse to collect payment. But the nurse later called and said I could not stay and should take medication home, after only a bone X-ray and blood test. . Question: Do some doctors here discriminate against foreigners? I do not know. . Did the doctor fail to examine the right area because he was rushing to finish and collect payment, or did he simply disregard me? I do not feel good about this experience.

Visited in August 2024 after a friend's introduction; I was not hospitalized. The 10th-floor service desk supports languages from around the world, including Japanese information and inquiries about Japanese health insurance. The first floor resembles a luxury hotel lobby. After all, wealthy people are the target. It has ranked in Newsweek's world hospital list for four consecutive years. The middle floor has McDonald's, a Japanese restaurant, and a fruit section with beautiful fresh-cut fruit 🥭 in sizes and varieties different from Japanese stores. Fresh-cut fruit makes a great gift. From the 10th floor, the view includes beautiful buildings 🏙️ and a barracks-like area with metal roofs. The waiting area by the windows has luxurious chairs and does not look like a hospital. To be examined by world-class doctors, I suppose I also have to be among the wealthy.
29/09/2024
A leading private hospital: old but highly modernized. Many foreigners use its services.
23/09/2024
It is good but expensive: tattoo removal costs more than 400 USD and requires several sessions. They charge for everything and know how to manage the situation.
23/09/2024
Considering that I am on the other side of the world, communication with the hospital was very direct and quick. I had few questions, but they were answered clearly and concisely. I would recommend this hospital without hesitation.
25/09/2024
I went there for behavioral health (Building B, third floor) and saw Dr. Suttiporn Janenawasin. She was excellent and patient, listened to what had happened and the stress I was under from overwork, and agreed that I needed better friends and more sunlight. I want to thank this doctor for giving me a chance rather than prescribing overly strong medication that might have left me depressed for years. I had years of unresolved trauma, and it was addressed under her care. Medication, sunlight, and prayer all worked. Always forward!

Bumrungrad is a five-star hospital, but prices are about 20-30% higher than at other hospitals such as simitivet and bongiok Hospital, including admission fees, examinations, and medication. I hope the board reviews the pricing.
19/09/2024
The hospital is large, with highly advanced equipment and qualified staff. Advice from experience: do not ask the doctor about someone else's condition, because he will answer in one sentence and you will receive the price of a consultation package on your invoice. Expect to pay nearly twice as much, yet no one will answer you.
19/09/2024
I was extremely disappointed by the level of knowledge and lack of care. This is supposed to be Thailand's best hospital, but the spine specialist merely read from a brochure containing information available online. It cost more than $200! They also added an extra hospital charge that had not been quoted. Terrible experience. Avoid this place.
19/09/2024
A high-quality hospital where you receive VIP service, but must also pay VIP prices. The doctors and technology are state-of-the-art. In some cases they still cannot identify the condition, but on average you will receive a solution.

Money hungry hospital. Also expect to wait 2-3 hours for every appointment even if you come early. Terrible scheduling and billing system. Extremely disappointed with the service here. I went for a check up to the womens Center and left paying 15,000 THB for a consultation and 1 test. The doctor called me a few days later explaining ON THE PHONE what my results were, she then asked that I come back in to pick up my prescription of antibiotics. When I came back, they charged me again for a CONSULTATION! The doctor phoned me and told me the results, asked me to come pick up the medications and she charged me for a consultation?? Isn’t that the purpose of the first consultation and test? Picking up medicines with an explanation of how to take them requires a 1,200 THB Consultation fee?? Never coming back here.
12/09/2024
I waited a long time to see the doctor. I was hungry and asked when my turn would be, but no one answered.
19/08/2024
I had to visit this hospital while we were on vacation. I had a fever and learned it was actually pneumonia. I had never been to a hospital in Thailand, but the experience was excellent. I walked in and saw a doctor within a few hours. Everyone was professional, and I received appropriate treatment. I was given a very detailed bill that I could submit to my insurance when I returned home. The wait was somewhat long, but that was expected because I was a walk-in. Language was not a problem for me. I recommend this hospital if you are in Bangkok.
18/08/2024
Possibly the worst hospital examination experience I have ever had. The doctor in the dermatology department seemed interested only in money! Very superficial and, in my opinion, completely careless. Please spend your money elsewhere for better service and treatment.
19/08/2024
An excellent hospital with a highly skilled and sophisticated medical team. They provided an Arabic interpreter during the examination... Thank you.
19/08/2024
The fees are high, but the wait to see the doctor is the same as at a public hospital. The doctor may have more up-to-date knowledge, and the treatment equipment is comprehensive, but I cannot tolerate sitting and wasting 2 hours or more waiting. Today the doctor took a meal break. If I had not asked, I might not have known and would have waited another hour. Patients have to fast and wait. I was dissatisfied with paying high prices for poor service and ultimately had to transfer hospitals.
19/08/2024
My experience with Dr. Kamolwan Chalermchokchai was extremely disappointing. During our visit, she abruptly asked us to leave the room simply because we asked many questions about the medical condition. I was deeply frustrated by her lack of professionalism and empathy. As a patient, I believe it is important to understand my medical condition fully, and her dismissive attitude made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. This behavior is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend her to others. I am very dissatisfied with how we were treated.

4xxx baht to remove 2 stitches 😂😂😂
30/07/2024
The ward is convenient, comfortable, clean, and new. The doctors and nurses are very helpful to sick family members. The staff are lovely, and this is a hospital that does not feel frightening.
30/07/2024
As soon as you enter the hospital, it feels like a five-star hotel. The staff are very friendly and provide proper guidance. We saw a pediatrician who was friendly and well qualified, correctly diagnosed my child, and used appropriate medication to address the cause. The price is somewhat high.
31/07/2024
Do not assume fewer customers means faster service. Registration and payment take even longer for Thai customers! I came for my annual checkup. It is not as efficient as before, at least for Thai customers. The wait at registration was long. There were 10 counters, but only 3-4 were serving customers, even though only 2 people were ahead of me. The wait at the cashier was even longer despite fewer customers than usual today. I saw only 3 people waiting ahead of me at counters A and B. The staff seemed busy with things other than serving waiting customers. It felt as though Thai people had to wait longer. Ultrasound remains a major bottleneck in the process, and this has never changed. Fewer customers should make service faster, but that is not the case here. In the past, even on busy days, the entire process took me less than 2.30 hours. Today, after 2.30 hours, I had only just completed the ultrasound. The breakfast service in the JW Marriott waiting room is good, but you have to tolerate international customers, mainly Middle Eastern, with absolutely no prejudice intended, having loud moments on speakerphone/YouTube and their overactive, free-roaming young family members. The medical support staff and doctors remain excellent.
31/07/2024
The doctors are generally good, but the administration is terrible, especially customer service. I tried contacting them through Line, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram, but they simply kept me waiting and never replied.
