My husband and I are incredibly grateful to Dr. Kucherov and his outstanding team for helping us realize our dream of becoming parents.
From our first appointment, Dr. Kucherov demonstrated extensive knowledge, professionalism, patience, and empathy. He carefully explained every step of the IVF process, answered all our questions, and gave us unwavering support and confidence throughout.
IVF can be an emotional and stressful process, but Dr. Kucherov's expertise and genuine care gave us hope at every stage of treatment. We always felt we were receiving the best possible care.

We had an excellent experience at Illume! The staff were knowledgeable, welcoming, and calm, which was very reassuring while facing the challenges of infertility. They communicated well and always made sure someone was responsible for each patient, so even if a member of your team was unavailable, another staff member would handle follow-up visits and other needs!

The staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. Hurwitz is an excellent, highly professional doctor. One thing I appreciate about him is that he tells you the truth. He never sugarcoats anything, which was helpful in my situation.

My husband has been trying to schedule an appointment for several weeks but still has not been able to get one. They say they have not received the doctor's referral and promise to call back, but we never hear from them. I do not know what is going on at the Danbury clinic.

A special thank you to Dr. Cynthia Murdorck, nurse Cristina, and Danna — they were truly amazing. Always kind, patient, and highly professional, they made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way.
I would also like to thank the entire team, Everyone I encountered was incredibly kind, welcoming, and dedicated.
One of the things that made a huge difference for me was having support in Portuguese, which helped me feel more comfortable and understood during the entire process.
I am very grateful for all the dedication, compassion, and care. I highly recommend them!

Working with Illume Fertility was a dream experience. The doctors, nurses, and front desk staff were wonderful. With their team's help, my fertility challenges were resolved in under a year. My experience at Illume Fertility in Danbury, Connecticut, has been wonderful. From reception to the medical staff, everyone is welcoming, kind, and compassionate.
The staff always greeted me with a smile, comforted me on my hardest days, and reassured me that everything would be all right. This meant more to me than they may realize.
This is my second fertility treatment cycle. My first treatment was intrauterine insemination (IUI), which unfortunately failed. I am now undergoing IVF and am currently at the egg retrieval stage. Throughout the process, my doctor, nurses, and phlebotomists have been professional, patient, and very reassuring.
IVF can be extremely stressful and emotional, but the Illume team has made me feel supported at every step. I sincerely appreciate their care and thoughtfulness.

I had done two IUIs elsewhere and came to Illume looking for personalized, empowering care. I had had a terrible experience at another practice and didn't want to sacrifice quality of care for convenience. I spent a little over a year with Illume and had a wonderful experience. I met with all the doctors, but my favorites were Cynthia Murdock and Alexander Kucherov. They all treated me like a person and not a number, recognized that IVF is a physical and emotional rollercoaster, and adapted treatment plans to my body and goals. I was always able to be accompanied by my husband and I even brought in my grandmother and my son to some appointments, which felt amazing. They were gentle, compassionate, and communicative and I am so thankful. I also really loved and appreciated seeing Black and Brown staff as a Black woman who has experienced racism and bias many times navigating the medical system. They all took such great care of me and now I am expecting my little baby girl after four years of infertility. Thank you!

I went there for intrauterine insemination and initially felt good about the clinic. They assigned me a ‘support team’ to handle everything from finances to medical care. As treatment continued, however, I felt like livestock. They were indifferent, and I saw the doctor responsible for my care only twice, including the initial consultation. In addition, my nurse and records coordinator were absent for half of my treatment, so even though I had their direct numbers, I had to call the clinic or front desk whenever I had a question. If you are struggling with infertility as I was, and I can attest that it is extremely painful and difficult, I recommend avoiding this clinic. At first they made many confident promises, but once treatment ended, it was as though you had never been their patient.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would give this team even more stars if I could. From my first visit, I felt seen, supported, and surrounded by people who genuinely cared. They encouraged and comforted me when hope was low. This team does more than treat patients; they care deeply. From the administrative staff to Kathy F, Dr. A. Kuchgrove, Dr. Hurwitz, and the clinical team, everyone touched my life. They celebrated my highs, supported my lows, and made sure I never felt alone. Their dedication, compassion, and kindness gave me strength and hope when I needed it most. If you want a team that treats you with heart, respect, and consistent kindness, this is the place.

If I could give five stars, I would give 50,000 without hesitation! Working with Illume during the hardest period of our lives was a dream come true. We sought help after several early miscarriages.
We are very grateful to our dedicated care team: Dr. Kucherov, nurse Jamie, and patient navigator Cathlyn. All three were exceptional. From our first visit, we felt supported, fully informed, and hopeful about our future. Throughout six months of treatment, Dr. Kucherov and Jamie went above and beyond and patiently answered every question. My husband and I will always be grateful for their attentive care. Although we ultimately conceived naturally, I believe it was entirely due to the treatment plan Dr. Kucherov developed for us. He is an extraordinary physician and person!
We primarily visited the Danbury clinic but also went to Norwalk and Trumbull several times. From the women at reception and the phlebotomists handling morning monitoring to our excellent physician assistant Diana, who performed our ultrasounds, every staff member treated us with respect and compassion and kept us informed throughout.
We also thank Dr. Leondires, who performed a necessary procedure in the Norwalk operating room. Dr. Leondires was calm and reassuring, which greatly eased our anxiety and fear that morning. Our nurse Sara and the anesthesiologist were also excellent.
Everything at the clinic was clean, organized, warm, and comfortable. Words cannot express my gratitude to everyone at Illume for such a positive experience. I truly wish Dr. K and Jamie could remain with us throughout the pregnancy. We are deeply grateful and cannot wait to welcome our baby in June 2026.

Illume Fertility helped my husband and me become pregnant after a late miscarriage and infertility. Every doctor and nurse made me feel completely at ease. I could contact them at any time, and they always responded promptly. They accommodated appointments at both the Danbury and Norwalk clinics. Everyone, from the doctors and nurses to the clinic staff, was wonderful. Highly recommended!

I completed two IVF cycles at Illume and now have a 3-year-old and am expecting our second miracle. The staff are wonderful, and Dr. Hurwitz is the best. He is caring and understanding, and you can tell he loves helping people. I highly recommend Illume to anyone needing fertility support.

So far, Illume has exceeded our expectations. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There is always a doctor in the room at every exam, which is very reassuring and was not the case at our previous clinic. Although we are only halfway through our cycle, I am very grateful for everyone's support. My only complaint is that the waiting room is too small, but fortunately you do not have to wait there long.

I have just completed diagnostic testing in my fertility journey. The front desk staff, nurses, and three doctors I met were all very knowledgeable and friendly. I had no idea what to expect. It is both exciting and worrying, but everyone made me feel comfortable and welcome. They see you promptly, which reduces anxiety, and explain every step in detail so you understand what they are doing. I am glad I chose Illume to help with my fertility journey.

Navigating the complex field of infertility is daunting, to say the least, but working with Illume has made it a positive experience. Although our journey continues, I can confidently say that Illume has outstanding staff and providers. They support you, explain things honestly and clearly, and show that they genuinely care. Their front desk staff deserve praise for always greeting you with a smile, which can truly brighten your day when you are exhausted and discouraged. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone hoping to grow their family.

Everyone I met here was wonderful except my physician. I scheduled an ultrasound that my doctor said he wanted to perform himself, but he did not come to the appointment, so a doctor we had never met performed it instead. The new doctor did not want to discuss the results in detail because he said that was my doctor's responsibility. Fine, I understood. Several days later, I still had not heard from my doctor, so I called. When he returned my call, he was very unfriendly and berated me for wasting his time by asking questions that he said I should discuss with my husband. First, this is my body and my insurance. Second, I tell my husband everything we discuss. Third, I am also a physician—there are ways to communicate without making patients feel belittled or as though their questions do not deserve a kind, compassionate answer and explanation. I cannot imagine ordering a diagnostic test for one of my patients, failing to call for several days, and then berating them when they call for results. He could easily have said—or asked a nurse to call if he was too busy—that he wanted to schedule a consultation for us to discuss everything together. That would have been fine. Yet even years later, he has left a very negative impression. I will never return to Illume or recommend it to anyone.
Beyond patient care, I called repeatedly about my account balance and repeatedly requested a receipt showing that I had paid about $1,500. I then sent another $1,800 that they said I owed. After several calls, I still could not obtain a copy of my account balance showing the payment, nor a clear answer about whether I still owed $1,800 or whether the $1,500 had been applied to that balance. Each time, I was told I owed $1,800 without any explanation of how the $1,500 had been credited.
A very frustrating experience.

If I could give Illume a million stars, I would. Although my fertility journey is not over, everything so far has been perfect. From the reception staff to my physician and everyone I have encountered, they have been friendly, supportive, encouraging, sincere, prompt, efficient, and highly responsive. Their excellent and timely communication makes the process seamless. I wish all my healthcare providers were from Illume. Do not hesitate to begin your fertility journey with Illume. Many friends strongly recommended them, and I have never regretted choosing them!

I cannot say enough good things about Illume! Every physician, nurse, phlebotomist, receptionist, and other staff member I met was kind and helpful. I worked with Dr. Hurwitz, but also met other physicians along the way. Each was friendly, made me comfortable, and was knowledgeable. The nurses and phlebotomists are simply the best. My nurse Ashley was wonderful. She answered all my questions, large and small, and showed empathy throughout. We recently returned to routine OB-GYN care, and now I miss this office at every medical appointment.

This clinic is wonderful. I felt comfortable with the staff from day one. They are all helpful, informative, and kind. Through every scan and blood test, appointments were smooth and quick without feeling rushed. On egg-retrieval day, I felt calm and comfortable and trusted every staff member I encountered. My team of nurses, doctors, patient coordinators, and financial advisers was excellent. They put me at ease, answered every question, and told me exactly what I needed to know—no more and no less. This kept the IVF process from feeling overwhelming, and so far I have not felt stressed during any part of the journey. I highly recommend them to anyone; I even had my sister-in-law contact Illume. My journey is not over, but Illume has kept me hopeful.
