I had a terrible and very uncomfortable experience at this clinic. When they told me how expensive the copay was, I tried to leave before the visit, but they aggressively encouraged me to continue by paying in installments and did not want me to leave. I should have recognized this as a warning sign and left when I first wanted to.

I was very pleased and satisfied with my experience with Dr. Hanafi and his staff. He spoke softly and made sure I understood everything being done. I am truly glad I found him. My previous experience at another facility was frightening, and I was very afraid to undergo another Pap test, but he made it so easy.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Hanafi. I found him through my healthcare website, then checked several other physician review sites to make sure the reviews were consistent. Dr. Hanafi's ratings were uniformly high! I made the appointment the next day, and they had an opening the day after that. I have never gotten a doctor's appointment so quickly! He was very thorough, attentive, and knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly in a way I could understand. Unlike other doctors, he did not make me feel rushed. Keep in mind that I stopped seeing male gynecologists 34 years ago. In my previous experiences, they were inconsiderate and always said any pain I felt was “probably in my head.” I have scheduled a follow-up and several additional tests based on his recommendations.

I have been seeing Dr. Hanafi for a few years, and I have always had a great experience. He is very knowledgeable and gentle. He never takes longer than expected to complete an exam. The best part is that he remembers me every time. I highly recommend choosing him as your doctor for all your reproductive health needs. Another great thing is that he never tries to take more blood than necessary. He pricks my finger before drawing blood every time.

Please do not go here! Dr. Hanafi is extremely dismissive and disrespectful toward his patients and staff. I did not have to be there long to realize it. Save yourself time and stress—this is coming from a young woman.

Dr. Hanafi himself is very conscientious and responsible, but in my experience, he may not be the best at providing in-depth information about fertility and the available options.
There is also a young Indian woman working there now whose name I have forgotten. The way she called to tell me my test results terrified me. “Ms. Harris, you tested positive for an STD”—which startled me—“it's a yeast infection.” I thought, girl, do not do that. For a moment, I thought I was going to have to go home and strangle my husband. I have been coming here for routine gynecologic exams for years, but now that I am ready to have a child, I may need to go elsewhere for more advanced treatment.

I received a concerning diagnosis from Dr. Hanaki. He asked me to return in six months for follow-up. To avoid another painful four-hour visit, I went elsewhere and learned that he had exaggerated my diagnosis. I was not actually at risk for cancer and only needed annual follow-up, not visits every six months.
In addition, rather than starting with simpler, less expensive, and less invasive fertility tests, he wanted me to undergo an iodine contrast hysterosalpingogram (HSG) at the hospital to determine whether my uterus was functioning normally. My husband could have a noninvasive test, and I could start with bloodwork. These tests are usually recommended before considering this extremely expensive and invasive procedure. We had also only been trying to conceive for three months at the time.

Dr. Hanafi does not care about his patients; he only cares about money. Even if you have insurance, they do not check it. They always want payment and do not want to deal with the insurer, so they charge you directly and say, 'Your insurance does not cover it,' without actually checking. He also spends very little time with patients during treatment, is always rushed, and confuses you with other patients. I believe he is too old to perform these procedures and has memory problems. Be careful and confirm coverage with your insurer before paying. I had pelvic pain and a normal urine test, but he said it was an infection and prescribed antibiotics and gave me an injection. I was still in pain, so I returned for an ultrasound, and he diagnosed adenomyosis. I did not trust him and went to another clinic, where they found and removed a polyp. Thank God I am now well.

I recently moved to Georgia and was not looking forward to seeing many new doctors, especially a new gynecologist. After my first visit, however, I was very satisfied and felt well cared for. All his staff were professional and kind. Dr. Hanafi was extremely knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable and well informed throughout the visit. Run, run, run. I used to enjoy coming here, but after my two most recent visits, I will not return. I was scheduled for a Pap smear on 2/18, but my period started early. Although I was not bleeding heavily, Dr. Hanafi proceeded with the Pap smear. He used the same metal speculum and threw it into the sink to be washed after my appointment. Of course, nothing was explained to me. Beth then told me I could return on 2/28 for an ultrasound. When I went for the ultrasound, they pressured me to pay $180 even though I knew my insurance covered it. I paid, and he performed the ultrasound and said I had two fibroids that were smaller than he expected. He was writing a prescription based on old records, then turned around and gave me another prescription, saying it would help stop the bleeding. I will never return. Dr. Hanafi seems focused on money, and I do not feel he provides the same patient care he once did.
