If you are seeking surgical treatment for endometriosis or suspected endometriosis, Dr. Nezhat and his team are the only medical team you should consider. He was the first doctor to validate the pain I had endured for years. During my first appointment, he was extremely thorough and spent 3 hours with me. He was also the first doctor to tell me that it was not all in my head. I can already feel this surgery changing my life, and it is all thanks to Dr. Nezhat. I highly recommend him and his team. I called the clinic and spoke with a 76-year-old receptionist whom I could barely hear. She would not let me speak, so I could not explain what I wanted to say. She said she remembered the case but also admitted that her memory was not very good, although she did know the case. Her customer service was extremely poor, and she was ordering the patient around. If this is how you operate, I do not know how she has remained with your company for so long.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Nezhat Medical Center. For years I was dismissed and told my symptoms were “normal.” Here, I finally felt heard, validated, and taken seriously. Dr. Ceana Nezhat and his team treated my condition with exceptional skill and precision, changing my life completely. What was expected to be a routine minimally invasive procedure became an operation lasting nearly 6 hours. They discovered and excised extensive stage IV endometriosis throughout my pelvis. Dr. Nezhat removed a large amount of diseased tissue, fibroids, and cysts and even reconstructed my uterus, all laparoscopically. I lost 8 pounds after surgery.
Despite the complexity of my condition, I received outstanding care before, during, and after surgery. The entire team was thorough, responsive, and compassionate. I always felt informed, supported, and in safe hands. Within just weeks of surgery, my symptoms and overall quality of life improved significantly. I am deeply grateful to have found a team with world-class surgical expertise that also truly listens and advocates for women's health. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone struggling with endometriosis or persistent pelvic pain.

My journey began many years ago as a teen and young adult with ongoing pain. I was dismissed by other doctors that the pain was just a part of my monthly cycle and the extreme bloating and soreness was all in my head. When I discovered Dr. Nezhat, I made my first appointment. Mary Ann was so sweet and walked me through my first administrative consultation step by step. Dr. Nezhat took me very seriously and listened to all that I had to say. My endometriosis surgery went very smoothly and I was treated exceptionally. I was able to have my two beautiful boys in the years following my surgery.
Years later, I began to have alot of daily discomfort due to menopause, fibroid, and other unknown causes. Dr. Nezhat and his staff welcomed me back with open arms as part of the family. I put off going back far too long and wish I had gone sooner. Dr. Nezhat worked with me and listened to all my concerns. He figured out the causes of my symptoms that were making my daily life difficult and hard to live with. I ended up having a second surgery with Dr. Nezhat. Dr. Nezhat and Emma have always been extremely responsive with phone calls, emails following up with all questions and concerns that I have. I'm able to live a life without all the complications that I had before surgery, figuring out hormone therapy etc. The entire staff is wonderful to work with. You will not find other practices so attentive to your needs. Each week after my surgery gets better and better. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my life.

I cannot praise Dr. Nezhat and his clinic enough. Another surgeon had previously abandoned my case, leaving me feeling terrible. My endometriosis symptoms returned severely and even affected my breathing. I struggled to function each day and could barely complete simple daily activities.
I contacted Dr. Nezhat's clinic and spoke with his assistant, Emma. She is a gem—kind, helpful, and genuinely concerned about getting me help quickly. She made the process much easier and was a pleasure to work with.
Dr. Nezhat has been my lifesaver. During the preoperative consultation, he spent considerable time carefully reviewing my condition and considering every possible cause of my pain and symptoms. Most importantly, he ensured that I understood his findings and diagnostic reasoning, making me feel heard and involved in the treatment plan. He was warm and friendly, and from the first consultation I could tell that he truly cared. I was treated as a person and a patient he genuinely wanted to help, not as a number or another surgery.
I could say so much more about my wonderful experience with Dr. Nezhat and his clinic. I recently had surgery and already feel much better. He is outstanding. If you are unsure about scheduling, trust me—it is absolutely worth it!

Dr. Nezhat, Emma, and the entire team were outstanding. From the beginning, they provided exceptional care, support, and comprehensive guidance on endometriosis, leading me through laparoscopic surgery with great compassion and expertise. Because I have a hearing impairment, email is much easier than phone communication, and the team—especially Emma—was exceptionally thoughtful and understanding. That meant a great deal to me. I also greatly appreciated Dr. Nezhat personally calling after surgery to check on me. Where do I begin? I am writing this review with tremendous respect and gratitude for Dr. Nezhat and his team. For years, I went from doctor to doctor without finding answers. Dr. Nezhat first saw me on Monday for a consultation and examination. By Wednesday I was in surgery, and by Friday I had answers and a treatment plan. It was the most frightening experience of my life, but their care and consideration helped me trust Dr. Nezhat and his team. For the first time, I felt that my concerns were validated. I wish I had found him sooner. I am writing this review in the hope that it helps others find answers sooner. I have my quality of life back. Thank you, Dr. Nezhat. His team guided me after surgery and was always available to answer my questions, even questions I had not thought to ask. They did not even raise my financial situation. Dr. Nezhat took excellent care of me and ultimately found the answers. Of course, there is a business aspect, but this time money was not the deciding factor in whether I received quality care. I can honestly say that Dr. Nezhat’s goal was to free me from pain, and he did that and more. If you have questions or feel that no one is taking your concerns seriously, please see Dr. Nezhat. He is exceptionally thorough and a true expert in this field. Finding Dr. Nezhat was a blessing from God, and I will always be grateful to him!
Endometriosis does not discriminate. If you have any concerns, Dr. Nezhat is the specialist to consult.

Several years ago, my wife was nearly out of options. We had seen many doctors seeking treatment for her endometriosis. She had already undergone two surgeries, but the pain returned each time—severe pain that left her bedridden for several days every month. Dr. Nezhat was the first surgeon to take her pain seriously. ‘If you are in pain, something must be wrong. As a doctor, my job is to listen to your pain,’ he told us. He did not accept our insurance, and I do not think he accepts any insurance, but his team worked with us to create a very flexible payment plan that fit our graduate-student budget.
He truly is the Mozart of laser surgery. He succeeded where other doctors could not. If you can afford his fees, he is absolutely one of the best choices for relief from endometriosis.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Nezhat is. I saw him 15 years ago for endometriosis. He performed surgery, which enabled me to have my son. I had been struggling with pain for several years and wish I had returned to him sooner. As soon as I called his office in August, they immediately scheduled an appointment and surgery based on his knowledge of my history. Fortunately, because of his experience and expertise, he ordered an MRI after examining me. The images revealed a mass the size of a soccer ball in my abdomen. No wonder I had been in pain! My regular gynecologist had missed it. He was able to remove it when I underwent a hysterectomy and laparoscopy two weeks ago. Fortunately, he removed everything, and it was all benign. It was still very frightening. I appreciate that he listened to me and recognized after my examination that he needed to investigate further to understand my problems. He does not simply suggest a generic solution. He wants to understand each patient’s specific situation so he can recommend the right treatment. I also love his bedside manner and communication style. He is very calm and reassuring. He did not let me spiral when we were uncertain about the mass. His gentle tone and confidence helped calm me. I wish I had not waited so long to return. He is truly an expert in endometriosis and an excellent surgeon. Everything in my surgery was performed as minimally invasively as possible. My surgery was major given everything I had going on, but my recovery has gone better than expected. The incisions are very small and already healing well. This was the best possible outcome all around—thanks to him! I am so grateful to Dr. Nezhat and all his staff for listening, being so thorough, and ensuring I received the treatment I needed. They are incredible.

After three days of reporting pain and trying to get Dr. Nezhat's staff to call him for advice, I finally went to the emergency room the day before I was to sign surgical paperwork. Imagine my surprise when I was discharged as a patient by email and told to seek treatment from my primary OB-GYN, Mary Ann, the records clerk. I did not understand the email, so I called and was immediately transferred to Mary Ann. She gave a vague reason, saying I had canceled appointments because of pain and ‘attitude,’ then said, ‘You will never be seen at this practice again,’ and hung up. Dr. Nezhat never followed up. Despite treating me for months and my ER visit, he never personally asked about my pain. My emails asking to speak directly with him went unanswered. More than two months after requesting my medical records, I am still chasing them. When my OB-GYN faxed another request, Mary Ann told me to come pay for them and then ‘you can share them with anyone you want.’ My insurance was also charged even though Dr. Nezhat never performed surgery, leaving me scrambling to find care.
At my last visit, a new employee entered during my examination without introducing herself or being introduced. I asked her name, and she stated it, nothing more.
The team does not want questions. The head nurse always rushed me and repeated questions. I did not understand the severity of my condition until I went to the ER. My insurance is still being charged as though I had surgery. Please seek care elsewhere.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nezhat and his team. He saved my life and is the only reason I finally received an accurate diagnosis and have hope for the future.
To make a long story short, because I could speak about this for hours, two and a half years ago I began experiencing debilitating, unexplained symptoms resembling autoimmune disease, although autoimmune testing was consistently negative. I spent tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours researching and saw more than 15 doctors and specialists, but no one could diagnose me. Eventually, doctors told me I might have fibromyalgia, that nothing was actually wrong, and that I should consider a psychological evaluation for a pain disorder, which was deeply embarrassing and demeaning. Two years ago, I even asked my gynecologist whether I might have endometriosis, but she said endometriosis does not cause back pain or numbness in the legs, which is completely false. I believed her and did not pursue it further.
In May 2025, out of desperation, I decided to look back and see whether anything had been missed, and I found Dr. Nezhat through Google. My only regret is not finding him sooner. He confirmed that every symptom I mentioned could be a sign of endometriosis and never dismissed me because I lacked typical symptoms. I immediately felt at ease with Dr. Nezhat and even told my husband, 'This is what I should do.' It felt amazing.
Dr. Nezhat performed surgery a week and a half ago and said it was one of the worst cases he had seen. I ultimately had deep infiltrating endometriosis throughout my pelvis and abdomen, requiring more than 40 excisions/biopsies. It caused systemic inflammatory and autoimmune-like symptoms and completely devastated my body. I do not know what I would have done without him. He truly saved my life. I cannot predict the future, but Dr. Nezhat will never get rid of me :). Thank you for believing me. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for helping me when no one else could.
P.S. I also want to thank the wonderful women at the clinic. They were knowledgeable, kind, and professional and made a stressful treatment process much easier. You are amazing.

Dr. Nezhat is the best doctor in the world. I truly do not know what I would do without him. I travel from Florida to see him, and many people come from around the world. The clinic staff and his assistants are always highly professional and kind. I have been his patient for 35 years and have never considered seeing another doctor. He is the best!!!

Dr. Nezhat and his team are amazing! I feel fortunate to have found them after being diagnosed with deep infiltrating endometriosis and enduring decades of pain. From the initial consultation through surgery and postoperative follow-up, every doctor provided detailed information, was thorough and attentive at every stage of treatment, and treated me with great kindness. Dr. Nezhat successfully excised endometriosis that had spread to other organs. In addition, because of the excision technique he used, my recovery was easier and faster than I imagine it would have been with other approaches. After surgery, I experienced less pain and an improved quality of life. I am very grateful to Dr. Nezhat and his team!

I highly recommend Dr. Nezhat for anybody struggling with endometriosis or for those who suspect they may have it. I appreciate Dr. Ceana Nezhat very much for taking my case. I've spent the last decade suffering off and on with bloating, extreme fatigue, ovarian cysts, and an inability to tolerate most foods. These are not necessarily symptoms that general doctors associate with endometriosis. While I did find communication a little difficult, especially in the beginning, I truly felt lucky to have had him perform my surgery. I am grateful to Dr. Nezhat and at 8 weeks out from surgery, I have significantly less pain and bloating along with a lot more energy. I believe he is an excellent surgeon and hope he can help you as well if you are reading this review.

It took me months to put into words everything Dr. Nezhat did for me and write this review. Dr. Nezhat saved my life. Over the past two or three years, my condition had steadily worsened. I saw 3 gastroenterologists, 4 gynecologists/gynecologic surgeons, 1 neurologist, and spent weeks at Mayo Clinic without finding a solution. I had MRIs, CT scans, X-rays, bloodwork, and many other tests to determine why I was in constant pain and felt so ill. I underwent two abdominal surgeries and later a partial hysterectomy that preserved my ovaries. I remained in severe pain without relief. Twice I told my husband I thought I was dying. I was exhausted from living in constant, unbearable pain and wanted to die. My husband urged me to see Dr. Nezhat because his family had experienced great success with his help. Dr. Nezhat is 100% the most knowledgeable and highly trained doctor in his field. He has published extensively, and I felt no doctor in the world was better qualified to review my case. I called and spoke with his wonderful, caring staff. They arranged my visit and collected my full medical history. I had an examination and met Dr. Nezhat after he reviewed my extensive history. About a month after he began reviewing my case, he scheduled surgery. Dr. Nezhat was the only doctor who identified the problem and decided to perform exploratory abdominal surgery. I am so glad he did! It changed my life! He spent extensive time examining my entire abdomen organ by organ, cleaning and repairing them and returning them to their proper positions. The surgery took about 6.5 hours. Dr. Nezhat is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors I have ever met, and I have seen many. He truly cares about his patients and places their recovery and well-being above everything. I strongly urge you not to give up on yourself or live with pain! Schedule an appointment with Dr. Nezhat. It will be the best decision you ever make! I cannot thank Dr. Nezhat and his entire staff enough.
