I highly recommend SCRC. From my first call as a new patient through follow-up visits and embryo transfer, I was treated not just as a patient but as a whole person. I am very grateful for this knowledgeable, organized, and welcoming team and for how smoothly the process went. They stayed beside me through all the emotional ups and downs of fertility treatment. For anyone living in East Los Angeles or Pasadena, the clinic's location is excellent, allowing follow-up monitoring between visits with my primary doctor in Beverly Hills. This made the process far easier to manage around my work schedule.

Dr. Akopians and her staff are wonderful. The office is very organized, and you are never left waiting past your appointment time.

I called with a simple question and was transferred to a department that never answered the phone. I called the front desk again, and they deliberately disconnected my call! Terrible service! I will go to the Beverly Hills location.

I cannot adequately express the care, positivity, and expertise I experienced at SCRC. I had been attending consultations while preparing to make a decision, and Dr. Akopians was very helpful with referrals and diagnosis. I ultimately conceived naturally, but they continued seeing me until I found an OB-GYN. Thank you for everything! Everyone was extremely kind and helpful throughout my experience.

SCRC is an extremely disorganized organization. I went through the full embryo creation and transfer process. It was filled with logistical complications caused entirely by SCRC's dysfunctional structure. I cannot count how many times I repeatedly called someone in a department to ask them to complete the next simple step, only to be told—after a long period without a response—that I should be dealing with someone else in the organization. Or, after waiting months for what should have been a simple step—the transfer of ownership of donor eggs already held by SCRC—I was told that I should have been working with an attorney at the same time to establish a separate agreement with the donor. I could easily have completed that step during the months I was waiting for SCRC to handle its part of the process, but no one told me it was required. (They charged about $1,700 simply to review the agreement and take the administrative steps to change ownership of the donor eggs in their system.) That is the problem: there is no single point of contact to help you or tell you what to expect regarding the process or billing. We were constantly left in the dark and sent back and forth among departments, never knowing what anything would cost, while repeated requests went unanswered. I later learned that there is a VIP service level. I can only imagine that the positive reviews come from people receiving that level of service. Entry-level patients are neglected and treated as a low priority.
