Littman 의사는 1977년에 조지타운대학교 의과대학을 졸업했습니다. 내과 및 일반외과에서 일 년간 인턴 수련을 받은 후, 브라운대학교 의학 프로그램에서 산부인과 삼 년 레지던트 수련을 시작했습니다. 1983년에 국립보건원에서 생식내분비학 이 년 펠로우십을 마쳤습니다. 1983년부터 1987년까지 조지 워싱턴대학교 의과대학 전임 교육 교수진으로 재직했습니다. 1987년부터 메릴랜드주 록빌에서 개인 진료를 하면서 조지 워싱턴대학교 산부인과 임상 교수로도 활동하고 있습니다.

Littman 의사는 산부인과와 생식내분비학 모두에서 보드 인증을 받았습니다. Washingtonian Magazine과 Washington Consumer Checkbook에서 모두 ‘불임 분야 최고 의사’로, U.S. News & World Reports/Castle Connolly에서 볼티모어·워싱턴 지역 ‘최고 생식내분비 전문의’로 현재 소개되고 있습니다. 미국 소비자연구위원회로부터 ‘미국 최고의 산부인과 전문의’ 중 한 명으로 선정되었으며, 메릴랜드주 의사회인 MedChi에서 Dr. Henry and Page Laughlin Distinguished Faculty Member Award를 받았습니다.

자궁내막증에 관한 교과서 집필 외에도 불임 치료제 사용에 관한 여러 수상 경력의 연구 논문을 발표했습니다. NIH 지원 연구를 감독하는 위원회에서 활동했으며, 미국생식의학회의 의학 저널인 Fertility and Sterility와 미국산부인과학회의 의학 저널인 Obstetrics and Gynecology에 게재할 논문을 심사하고 있습니다. 또한 주 및 연방 건강보험 법률이 소비자와 의사에게 미치는 영향에 대해 폭넓게 저술했습니다. 이 활동으로 몽고메리 카운티 의사회와 MedChi에서 각각 Distinguished Authorship Award를 받았습니다.

전문 학회·병원 진료 권한

Littman 의사는 미국산부인과학회 펠로우이며, 미국생식의학회와 생식내분비학회 회원입니다. 몽고메리 카운티 의사회 회장을 역임했으며 현재 집행이사회의 위원입니다.

Dr. Littman is very quiet, but he is excellent at what he does. He helped my wife and me conceive, and we are now happily awaiting the birth of our first child this summer. Although Dr. Littman is very quiet, he truly knows his field and clearly explained exactly what would happen and how we could achieve the outcome we wanted. I have already recommended him to friends who are now where we were in November.

He is one of the best OB/GYNs. I have been with him for about 20 years. He is very knowledgeable, addresses every concern, and even asks about your overall health. He spends time with his patients. I could not ask for more. I will certainly miss him when he retires. May God bless him and his family.

I consulted Dr. Littman because I was having difficulty becoming pregnant. Dr. Littman completed all the necessary steps. Near the end of my visit, I asked whether there was a natural approach I could try first, such as diet or herbs, and he simply laughed and said, "If only it were that easy." On my drive home, I remembered hearing about an acupuncturist who specialized in fertility. I made an appointment, saw her twice more, and was pregnant six weeks later. Nine months later, I delivered a healthy baby. So my response to Dr. Littman is, "Yes, apparently it can be that easy." He is clearly not a doctor who knows all the options or is willing to share all the genuine options with you. I can only assume now that he is in business to make money and does not put patients first.

Dr. Littman performed a myomectomy on me 22 years ago, and one year later I delivered a healthy baby girl. (Then another one a year and a half later.) He knows what he is doing!
