My wife and I came to Shady Grove Fertility on my sister's recommendation. We were very satisfied with the service, communication, and friendly staff and doctors. Fortunately, my wife became pregnant without needing fertility treatment. However, if we had needed to continue, Shady Grove would unquestionably have been our first choice. Dr. Crochet was welcoming and understanding and spoke honestly about our chances of conceiving naturally. Thank you, Dr. Crochet and team, for making our brief time at your practice so positive. Everyone at SGF Webster is kind, attentive, and compassionate! The nurses are wonderful, and Bo, the sonographer, is excellent! Dr. O'Hern was our doctor. We will miss her! I wish she could be our obstetrician throughout the pregnancy. Without their help, we would not have our miracle baby boy, due in early January 2026.

Thanks to Dr. Crochet, my husband and I welcomed beautiful twin girls on our first pregnancy. My struggle with infertility and IVF was long, and I am grateful that Dr. Crochet never gave up on me. He has an excellent bedside manner and always made me feel at ease. Kelcie and Brooke are wonderful nurses who always responded promptly and provided genuine care. Gina is my favorite phlebotomist; she always succeeds on the first attempt. She is consistently cheerful and develops a personal connection with patients. Bo, the sonographer, is wonderful—always friendly, quick, and knowledgeable during ultrasounds. Erica in the financial department is excellent and always responds to my questions as quickly as possible. The women at the front desk are also friendly and greet me warmly every time I visit. I cannot wait to return to Shady Grove in the future to continue growing my family.

I have sought infertility treatment since 2017. I transferred to SGF and Dr. Crochet in 2023 and have never regretted it; my previous experience at HFI was terrible. The staff here are always friendly and supportive, especially Brianna at the front desk. Dr. Crochet is also wonderful.

Dr. Schnell is an outstanding physician. She is professional, kind, and consistently attentive. Every interaction leaves me feeling reassured, heard, and well cared for. She explains things clearly, listens with genuine concern, and makes each visit calm and reassuring. Our patient coordinator, Victoria Eason, is equally wonderful. She is welcoming and organized, and her kindness and professionalism make the process smooth and pleasant. I always feel at ease speaking with her. Together, Dr. Schnell, Victoria Eason, Yolanda, Neily, and Brianna create a comfortable, trustworthy environment. Their care for patients makes me feel valued and grateful. Thank you!

I tried several times to contact the office to reschedule, but no one answered. They finally called and told me to come in anytime before 2:30 p.m. for testing. When I arrived at 2:00 p.m., they said, ‘Oh, sorry, we cannot perform the test after 1:00 p.m.’ Very unprofessional.

Unfortunately, my experience at this clinic was very disappointing. It felt more focused on selling services and collecting fees than providing genuine care or medical guidance. I left feeling rushed, disregarded, and pressured into treatments that seemed unnecessary. It is frustrating to expect support and compassion but feel that the relationship with the doctor is purely transactional. I will not return and encourage others to ask careful questions before agreeing to any treatment.

Do not visit this clinic. They will ultimately charge you $10,000 for fertility testing, then pressure you into $30,000 IVF. Dr. Krosh only wants to make money from you. This place is terrible. They seem to care only about money. You would expect a fertility clinic to be warm and welcoming, especially after fertility struggles, but that is not the case here. First, their pricing is completely opaque. Second, the fees are outrageous: a 10-minute conversation with the ‘doctor’ costs $200–$300. They also offer only virtual appointments, which is lazy. Finally, they push only $30,000 IVF, their main source of profit. I warn everyone against this clinic. The staff are extremely unfriendly. If you miss their call, they scold you like a child; if they miss yours, they do not care. We tried to schedule an IUI. Everything was arranged until a last-minute surprise. They delayed us for three months, repeatedly saying everything was ready, then announcing on the day that something else was required. No one here cares about you. You are only a dollar sign.

I cannot praise Shady Grove Clear Lake and Beaumont enough. Although going through IVF alone was difficult, this team made my journey memorable in the best way. Dr. Schnell and Dr. Bruno are the best and helped me fulfill my dream of motherhood. The clinic staff and nurses were also extremely kind and supported me throughout. I am deeply grateful for this team and my son. 🩵

Excellent fertility clinic! I recently had a procedure here and was impressed by the standard of care. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the doctors, was kind, professional, and highly supportive throughout. Cindy, the surgery scheduler, was especially helpful and made everything smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this clinic.

I had an excellent experience at SGF. My doctor, Dr. Bruno-Gaston, is highly skilled and genuinely cares about her patients. Her main goal was to ensure that my partner and I had a healthy, happy baby. The Clear Lake staff, including Brianna and Alexis, were very welcoming and friendly! I am extremely satisfied with the treatment I received here!

My husband and I have invested $30,000 in IVF here, but ongoing communication and patient-care problems now make me question that decision. Communication: I explicitly asked the clinic to direct every phone call to my husband rather than me, yet they repeatedly called me. When I reminded the nurse, she only replied, ‘He can call us,’ making me feel my needs were ignored. Reliability: I am scheduled to start self-injections in two days, but the injection kit has not arrived. Yesterday, my husband called 15 minutes before closing and no one answered. This happens repeatedly. Unheard concerns: At a recent ultrasound and blood draw, no one gave me an opportunity to ask questions. I left feeling completely dismissed. Not every staff member is at fault, but some are unfriendly and have made this stressful treatment feel uncomfortable and unsupported. These communication failures seriously threaten the timing and success of our IVF cycle.

Dr. Janet Bruno changed my husband's and my lives. With her help, I welcomed my first child. Before meeting her, I had seen another doctor for four years, but she helped us achieve our dream in only six months. She did an outstanding job, and I later conceived naturally. Dr. Bruno is amazing! She is highly skilled, kind, thoroughly professional, and an exceptional person. Thank you, Dr. Bruno!

I cannot praise Shady Grove enough. We love our physician, Dr. Schnell, and her clinical team, Alex and Maria. Alex was extremely helpful during the hardest moments. She was patient, thorough, and gave us time to ask every question. Brianna and Alexis at the front desk are also wonderful. When you urgently need to reach someone, they always make it happen. They answer calls promptly and are consistently warm and friendly. Aurora, the phlebotomist, is also exceptional, careful, and very kind. Shady Grove truly has the best team!

Even one star is too generous. If you want to have a child, do not come here. On my first visit, a nurse came out, pointed at me, and asked, “What’s your name? Yes, you, come here.” At that moment, I knew choosing Shady Grove was a mistake. Communication was terrible: one person said one thing and the doctor said another. Several times I waited without hearing from anyone and eventually had to complain to a supervisor. The supervisor said the doctor would call me the next morning, but no one relayed the message to him, and he was waiting for me to join a telehealth visit. I was still charged for that visit, even though the purpose of the call was for the doctor to apologize and explain. Another time, after an ultrasound, they said I needed surgery but no one called to schedule it. When I called, they said there was nothing in my chart, which was why no one had contacted me. I did need surgery; their communication had simply failed. After moving to a new clinic and receiving my records, I found that their patient coordinator had documented our phone conversation. She claimed that although she had explained certain things to me, I was indirectly expressing dissatisfaction. She did not document the many calls, voicemails, and portal messages I sent before waiting weeks for a response. The patient coordinator’s name was Cynthia or Cindy; I heard both names on two occasions. I never write reviews, especially about clinics, but I could not let couples trying as hard as we were to have a child remain unaware of what happens there. My friend also went there and had a terrible experience; they told her there was nothing they could do. Now both of us are at another clinic that can help us.

Jeanine and Mandi were exceptional during my HSG exam. I arrived extremely anxious, but they immediately put me at ease through their calm, professional, and compassionate approach. They explained what to expect, worked efficiently, and were attentive throughout the process. The exam itself was very quick, and any discomfort resolved within seconds. Their reassurance and competence made a stressful experience far more manageable. I am very grateful for the care they provided and would highly recommend them.

My husband and I had fertility testing to explore options for trying to conceive because we had been trying for some time. At our consultation, although it was our first time meeting Dr. Crockett, we did not feel that we received her full attention. I had blood tests the next day, and the doctor said someone from the clinic would call with the results and schedule a follow-up. However, we did not receive the results until a week and a half later, three days after the testing. Dr. Crockett told us that IVF was our only option. When we said we wanted to try intrauterine insemination (IUI) first, communication began to decline. We were then told, “You need to call to schedule a follow-up; we will not contact you with your results,” which directly contradicted what the doctor said during our initial consultation. To prepare for IUI, I needed additional tests. They were scheduled, but again no one contacted me afterward, and I had to call to ask when the follow-up would be scheduled, even though they had already had my results for five days. Every follow-up was scheduled as a consultation and incurred a fee, which they did not seem concerned about even though the charges accumulated quickly. Fortunately, our insurance covered these “consultations.” I do not recommend this practice to anyone who needs attention and compassion while trying to conceive. They treat people as sources of revenue and as numbers. No one seeking fertility care should be treated this way.

I would like to express my gratitude for the attentive care I received during my recent visit. My nurse, Kaylea, went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful. From the beginning, she was kind, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. She kept me comfortable and fully informed throughout the process, making an otherwise stressful healthcare experience much easier. I am very grateful for her help and highly recommend this hospital because it has excellent healthcare professionals like her.

I am writing this while holding the baby I once thought I would never have. Dr. Crockett was wonderful to my husband and me! I truly believe we would not have our daughter without him. At every appointment before conception, he listened to our concerns and thoroughly investigated our recurrent miscarriages. During early pregnancy, Dr. Crockett and nurse Jenny were kind and patiently addressed all my questions. We are very grateful for the close monitoring during those early weeks. Bo, the ultrasound technician, was also thorough and kind. I am so glad my OB-GYN referred me to this clinic!

I do not recommend this place. It lives up to its reputation and is very unreliable. My experience here was terrible, and I completely agree with all the one-star reviews. If I could, I would give a negative rating. Fortunately, I made the right decision at the time, or I would have deeply regretted it.

Shady Grove is a very special place. Everyone is fully committed to the mission, and each person makes you feel like you are the only patient there. Dr. Bruno Gaston is outstanding—she is kind, considerate, and every decision she makes is carefully thought out. Lauren and Morgan are quick, efficient, clear in their explanations, and extremely friendly. During both of my egg retrieval procedures, Amber was in the room, holding my hand until I fell asleep. My post-operative nurse was also wonderful; she is also the manager of the Clear Lake branch. This place is truly unique. They are all focused on the mission. They celebrate with you and empathize with your pain. My journey is still ongoing, but I believe that no matter the outcome, it will all be worth it.

I have nothing but praise for SGF. I am so grateful to everyone there. I appreciate that they made me feel like a person rather than just another patient they had to manage. I never felt like just a patient there. I especially want to thank Maryanne in the Research Department. She always went above and beyond, never forgot to call me, was always happy to answer my questions, and was incredibly reassuring. She helped me tremendously throughout this journey. I am so grateful to the entire staff at Shady Grove Fertility - Clear Lake! From the moment we arrived at the clinic for my egg retrieval, we were greeted with warm smiles. Pam, the preoperative nurse, was caring and communicated all the important information gently and clearly. My husband and I tend to joke around, and Pam matched our cheerful, playful energy perfectly, helping us relax and feel less nervous. She never rushed us and patiently answered every question we asked! Amber and Nicole, the operating room nurses, were also wonderful. They explained every step in detail so we knew exactly what to expect! Brittany was very helpful in the postoperative recovery room and made sure both my husband and I were comfortable—after all, this was his first time going through this too! Finally, thank you to Dr. Shah for providing so much comfort and support as we faced this new challenge! Overall, I give this medical team five stars for working every day to help us achieve our dream of building a family!

We began treatment at SGF last February and recently welcomed our healthy, beautiful daughter. My wife and I are deeply grateful to SGF for helping us build our family.

Dr. Ohern and her team are wonderful. I began the process at the start of the year. My husband and I had tried for a year without success. I contacted Shady Grove and was fortunate to find Dr. Ohern. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and she developed a complete treatment plan for me. We began intrauterine insemination (IUI) in April and had the procedure on the 19th. I was very anxious throughout the process, and after every appointment a nurse sat down with me and explained everything. My IUI was successful, which has been the greatest blessing. My first two ultrasounds were wonderful experiences. The final visit, our graduation, was bittersweet. I had formed such a strong bond with her that it was difficult to leave. The celebration Dr. Ohern and her team held for us was the sweetest way to send us onward, and for good reason. I highly recommend Dr. Ohern. She is wonderful, and we will definitely return when we are ready for our second baby.

I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care I recently received during my HSG test at SGF Texas Medical Center. I was anxious about the test, but from the moment I walked in, I knew I was in the best hands. The entire process, from scheduling to receiving the results, was seamless. Every staff member was warm, which eased my stress, and Dr. O’Hern was amazing ♥️ She took time to explain each step patiently and clearly. The procedure was much more comfortable than I expected. Yes, there was some brief discomfort, but it was over within minutes. The doctor reassured me throughout and made sure I felt safe and supported. Then came the moment I had been hoping for—clear tubes! The joy and relief I felt are hard to describe. I received the results immediately after the procedure! For anyone nervous about an HSG test, I want you to know that with the right medical team, the experience can be smooth, quick, and even empowering. I very highly recommend SGF Texas Medical Center and Dr. O’Hern and her team for their excellent care, expertise, and genuine compassion. If you are looking for a place where you will be treated with kindness and professionalism, this may be the right choice. This test gave me not only results but also peace of mind, and I am truly grateful. Thank you, team 🙏

Dr. O’Hern gave me the best HSG and SIS (saline ultrasound) I have ever had. About a year and a half ago, I had an SIS with another doctor, and it was so painful that I hyperventilated and cried. With Dr. O’Hern, I barely felt anything and was in and out of the office very quickly. Highly recommended! 5/5 stars.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. O’hern and her team at SGF. I highly recommend her when choosing a fertility doctor. When my husband and I decided it was time to begin our fertility journey, Dr. O’hern and her team helped us through every step. Dr. O’hern took time to address my concerns and explained my options with honesty and compassion. After meeting with her, I always felt comfortable with my decisions. Our second IUI cycle resulted in pregnancy. Dr. O’hern and her team were very supportive during both IUI cycles. I had many questions throughout the process, and no matter how many messages I left, her nurses Brittany and Taylor always responded. I always felt well cared for. Everyone at SGF Medical Center was consistently welcoming, and I never felt uncomfortable.

After years of infertility, we finally decided to begin fertility treatment. Dr. O'Hearn and her team provided excellent diagnosis and treatment for our infertility, and our first embryo transfer was successful! Now, as I hold my newborn, I cannot help reflecting on everything the clinic did to help us have a child. Without SGF, he would not be here today. Thank you all for your help! I am deeply grateful!

Unfortunately, I could not get past the initial questions to schedule an appointment. Fertility can be difficult and sensitive for some people. I found the clinic staff impatient and rude; attitude is clear from tone of voice. I spoke with a doctor at another nearby fertility clinic and had a completely different, much more pleasant experience.

Nurses Liz and Brittany were especially helpful and made everything smooth and stress-free. My doctor, Dr. O'Hearn, provided outstanding care, and we are very grateful to her. I contacted this clinic because I am considering IVF with my current husband. After my previous marriage ended, I had a bilateral salpingectomy because I had decided not to have more children. I have since changed my mind, and my husband and I want a child. The clinic left me a voicemail asking me to call back. When I did, I began asking about the IVF process, including the approximate timeline from ovarian stimulation medications to embryo transfer. The woman who answered mumbled her name, so I could not hear it clearly, but I believe it was Jennifer. Apart from pricing, she refused to answer any questions. After I said, "Okay, thank you," she immediately hung up before I could ask anything else. She did not ask whether I had more questions or even say goodbye. I had wanted to pursue IVF at this clinic, but based on that call, I felt they did not care about me and that it would be a poor experience. As someone who has donated eggs twice and served as a surrogate twice for other families, I expected the call to be more personal and reassuring. She could have answered my questions more helpfully instead of dismissing me and providing only the price. Based on our previous reading and research, we were nearly ready to schedule a consultation and begin treatment here. Now they will not even be among our final ten clinic choices.

The medical care was excellent. Dr. Shah, his nurses, and the front desk staff were kind, professional, and highly supportive throughout my treatment. Clinically, I felt very well cared for and am extremely grateful that my baby was delivered safely. (Photo attached) However, my experience with billing and the finance department was entirely different. My out-of-pocket costs exceeded my insurance reimbursement, even though my assisted reproductive technology coverage was over $30,000. I was charged twice for embryo storage, and other services were also overbilled. Resolving these issues was extremely difficult. I called and emailed financial counselor Elizabeth Rodriguez multiple times but received no response. Because the charges did not match the final insurance statement, our FSA card was frozen, adding further strain to an already stressful pregnancy. Mine was a high-risk pregnancy, and we needed the FSA card for maternal-fetal medicine visits, but we first had to repay the $500 paid to this clinic before we could use the card. This meant paying twice for the service again. The medical team deserves praise, but the financial side needs major improvements in transparency, accuracy, and responsiveness. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall patient experience, because the medical care itself was truly excellent. Thank you, Dr. Shah and team. You helped us receive our greatest blessing!

The biggest issue is that if your provider requires authorization, they will not contact you proactively. They also do not respond to emails.

I had an excellent experience at this clinic. Dr. O'Hern and her team were outstanding and made me feel exceptionally well cared for from beginning to end. The egg retrieval center staff were equally wonderful—kind, attentive, and considerate, providing tremendous support during an emotionally difficult process. Special thanks to nurse Brittany, who was exceptional, and Amber at the front desk, who always greeted every visitor with a smile and made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. Everyone here genuinely cares about patients, which meant so much to me.

We really like Dr. O'Hern, and the nurses and technicians provided satisfactory service at every clinic visit. On the two occasions we called the nurses, they were friendly and somewhat helpful, but their information contradicted itself after each call. SGF's “communication” about timing, coordination, scheduling, and expectations is terrible. It is nearly impossible to schedule an appointment by phone, and getting a clear answer from SGF about when testing, collection, or procedures will occur is almost impossible. Our timeline was repeatedly delayed because SGF left gaps in information and only provided critical timing details weeks later. It is impossible to overstate how poor SGF's communication is. They send bills quickly but are abysmal at communication. Not recommended. …… This medical center location has notable environmental and hygiene problems. Parking is inconvenient. The blood draw room is cluttered with papers and files and does not look like a medical facility. Some staff wore hoodies rather than scrubs, and their manner and appearance seemed unprofessional. [However, the two women who performed my ultrasounds were warm, friendly, and professional, and wore scrubs. They were the only bright spot in my experience.] When I used the restroom, the soap was almost gone and had to be poured from a nearly empty bottle because the pump had been removed and discarded to get the last bit of soap out. That might be acceptable in a gas station restroom, but it is not something you want to see in a doctor's office. …… Given the emotional and financial toll of this process, my husband and I are very disappointed with everything except Dr. O'Hern, whom we like very much. It is now too late to change doctors. We hope SGF resolves these issues appropriately and will update this review afterward.

We owe our beautiful baby boy to Dr. O'Hearn. My case was extremely challenging—severe endometriosis, advanced maternal age, and inconsistent ovarian function—but she never gave up on me. I am a proud veteran who was referred to this clinic four or five months ago. Every time my menstrual cycle began, all testing had been completed, and the medications had been ordered, they would skip steps and postpone my procedure. They did this only to increase costs for the VA and me instead of actually proceeding with IUI/IVF. I lost not only money but also patience and time. I genuinely longed to experience the joy of motherhood for the first time, but they deprived me of that hope and happiness for months. I will never return to this fertility clinic and advise the VA and other veterans to reconsider choosing it as the place to begin your family-building journey. I am extremely disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Shady Grove-TMC! I was previously a patient of Dr. Shah at the Woodlands office, but this medical center was closer to my home, so I went there for all my monitoring! Everyone made us feel so comfortable and safe. Honestly, we could not have made it through without these ladies; they played such an important role throughout our journey! Amber at the front desk knew us by name and was always so friendly. We absolutely loved her warm personality. Whitney, the medical assistant, always made sure all our questions were answered, and her warm, friendly manner made us feel like family. Then there is Ishia, the phlebotomist. If you need blood drawn, she is absolutely the person to see. Every blood draw was painless, and she always remembered that I used the other arm! After graduating from the clinic, we went back to celebrate with these ladies because they had such a profound impact on our lives. We cannot wait for our baby to be born and to introduce him to them! Shady Grove-TMC, 11/10! Highly recommended! No complaints whatsoever! Thank you for helping us make our dream come true!

I came to Dr. O'Hern for a second opinion because my first fertility doctor was terrible. Unfortunately, my body did not cooperate with what I wanted, but Dr. O'Hern was wonderful. She explained every process and took excellent care of me. I had a hysterectomy about a month and a half ago, and she was there to care for me. I could not find a better doctor. I highly recommend her to everyone.

Dr. O'Hern helped my husband and me conceive two perfect, beautiful babies. IVF is an emotional roller coaster, and Dr. O'Hern and her staff helped us through it with support and understanding when we needed them. They even proceeded with my transfer during the freeze! My daughter turned one this March. She is a miracle and an answer to prayer. The IVF journey was difficult and never easy for my family or me. Dr. Perfetto and the SGF staff were very supportive. They always gave us strength and encouraged us never to give up. Dr. Perfetto is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about us and her patients. She always addresses our concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Perfetto and her team!
