Bác sĩ Orhan Bukulmez, Hoa Kỳ


Bác sĩ Orhan Bukulmez là Trưởng Phân khoa Nội tiết sinh sản và Vô sinh tại Trung tâm Y khoa UT Southwestern. Ông cũng là Giám đốc Y khoa của Chương trình Thụ tinh trong ống nghiệm (IVF) tại cơ sở thực hành Sinh sản Đại học và Y học Sinh sản Nâng cao của chúng tôi.

Trước khi đến UT Southwestern, bác sĩ Bukulmez là Giám đốc Phân khoa Nội tiết sinh sản và Vô sinh và Giám đốc Y khoa của các chương trình IVF và Hiến trứng tại Trường Y thuộc Đại học Florida ở Gainesville, Florida.

Sinh ra tại Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ, bác sĩ Bukulmez tốt nghiệp thủ khoa Trường Y Đại học Hacettepe ở Ankara. Sau khi hoàn thành chương trình y khoa và nội trú, ông gia nhập giảng viên Đại học Hacettepe và đạt học hàm Phó Giáo sư có nhiệm kỳ trước khi bắt đầu sự nghiệp tại Hoa Kỳ.

Bác sĩ Bukulmez nghiên cứu về y học sinh sản, tập trung vào lạc nội mạc tử cung và sinh lý buồng trứng tại Đại học Yale, nơi ông cũng hoàn thành thực tập Sản phụ khoa. Bác sĩ Bukulmez hoàn thành thêm các chương trình đào tạo nội trú Sản phụ khoa tại Đại học Southern Illinois và Trung tâm Khoa học Sức khỏe thuộc Đại học Oklahoma, sau đó là chương trình đào tạo chuyên khoa ba năm về Nội tiết sinh sản và Vô sinh tại Trung tâm Y khoa Đại học Texas Southwestern.

Bác sĩ Bukulmez được chứng nhận chuyên môn về Sản phụ khoa cũng như Nội tiết sinh sản và Vô sinh. Ông đặc biệt quan tâm và có chuyên môn lâm sàng về hỗ trợ sinh sản và phẫu thuật xâm lấn tối thiểu. Mối quan tâm nghiên cứu của ông bao gồm thụ tinh trong ống nghiệm, lạc nội mạc tử cung và điều hòa gen trong các mô sinh sản. Ông có nhiều kinh nghiệm về phẫu thuật nội soi buồng tử cung, phẫu thuật laser và nội soi ổ bụng, phẫu thuật bóc u xơ tử cung và vi phẫu nối lại vòi trứng.

Bác sĩ Bukulmez là thành viên danh dự của American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, đồng thời là thành viên của American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Gynecologic Investigation, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility và Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies.

At the crosswalk to the parking lot around 2 p.m. on July 8, 2024, a traffic supervisor stopped my 91-year-old disabled mother’s wheelchair to let many vehicles pass. He said traffic control took priority. What? Was he there to protect vehicles? 😱 Was he racist? 😡 Making pedestrians wait for vehicles was inappropriate. Educate him properly, then send him to work. I have never seen such ignorance.

The outpatient clinic at 1801 Inwood Rd was extremely difficult to find and tucked away. While waiting inside, I went to the cafeteria, where it took them 15 minutes to make one slice of pizza. They were in no hurry. I was first in line, only two people were waiting for food, and there were three staff members, but they did not care about speed. However, the doctor was excellent, and everyone inside was very welcoming and friendly.

This clinic is a rip-off. Even in-network telehealth visits are outrageously expensive. Unbelievable.

Please see the photo. I had a baby with my own eggs when I was almost 44 and had no previous children. Dr. Bukulmez is a miracle worker.

Dr. Burkürmez is excellent. He is exceptionally intelligent, and we benefited greatly from the very first visit. He is practical and grounded, cites the literature, and knows his diagnoses thoroughly. He does not give false hope; he explains the reality and what needs to be done. I have seen reviews saying he is “not kind,” but that is simply untrue. I know emotions fluctuate during this process, but if your doctor is overly emotional too, you may be in trouble. He is calm, kind, concise, practical, and dependable. If you want a brilliant, skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable doctor who can guide you toward the best treatment, Dr. Burkürmez is the right choice. Five stars!

Dr. Bukulmez tailors the best plan to each patient’s circumstances and genuinely strives for a positive outcome. Everyone I met at his practice was warm, helpful, and friendly. Many of my friends have conceived successfully under his guidance. I am currently pregnant and completely trust him and his team.

Dr. Bukulmez and his team are wonderful. His approach is precise and very conservative. If you want a successful pregnancy, listen to him. We are very grateful that he and his team helped us conceive. We owe you our thanks. Thank you very much, Dr. Bukulmez!

This clinic is terrible. They sent us an incorrect bill, and we spent three years disputing it with UT South Western. They ultimately transferred our case to another collection agency, which began calling day and night and threatening to report us to the credit bureaus. I believe the clinic incorrectly submitted information about the services we received to the UT South Western billing department. Despite countless calls to billing, they did not correct the error. Eventually, we sent documentation from UT South Western proving that we had declined the services listed on the bill. I do not recommend this doctor, this clinic, or UT South Western.

I had never felt insulted, demeaned, and dismissed until I left Dr. Bukulmez’s office. I had a 30-minute consultation about using a surrogate for our embryos, but wanted to leave after 5 minutes. I still do not understand why I stayed only to be told our embryos were unsuitable because they might have the same genetic condition I do, even though I am a typical, able-bodied person with all my physical and mental faculties. He also launched into an absurd story that made clear he opposed surrogacy based on one extreme case he encountered during hospitalization. I received no healthy, useful, or even scientific information from the consultation. He continually interrupted our questions with his opinions, without any scientific basis. I left feeling that he viewed my husband and me as less than human and unworthy of his respect or even basic dignity. Fortunately, we found a very kind, compassionate, and even encouraging doctor. I will discourage anyone I can from using this practice.
