Dr. Shirley Fong, United States
Dr. Shirley Fong earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri in 1998. From 1998 to 2002, she completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where she received an Outstanding Teaching Award. From 2002 to 2005, Dr. Fong completed subspecialty fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.
Her fellowship research focused on the effects of relaxin on matrix metalloproteinase MMP-2 in primate cardiac tissue. After training, she worked at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn and St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan before joining Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Fong is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
