Dr. Darcy Broughton, United States
Darcy Broughton, MD, FACOG, is a dual board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. Dr. Broughton is passionate about providing family-building options for the LGBTQ+ community and single parents by choice.
Dr. Broughton completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Oregon Health & Science University, where she served as administrative chief resident and received the Chief Resident Teaching Award. She completed research in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Washington University in St. Louis, including award-winning research on the effects of Zika virus on the ovaries.
Since joining PNWF in 2018, Dr. Broughton has been a leader in providing fertility options for the queer community. She co-founded PNWF's LGBTQ+ Fertility Center in 2021 and enjoys helping this community build families. She authored one of the few studies on IVF outcomes in transgender and nonbinary patients. Her passion also extends to caring for single parents by choice—she is a single mother through IVF at PNWF herself. Since joining PNWF, her work has earned her annual recognition as a Seattle Met Top Doctor.
Dr. Broughton is an active educator and advocate, serves on the board of the Seattle Gynecologic Society, and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine LGBTQIA+ Special Interest Group. She is grateful to participate in resident training and education and serves as the REI faculty site director for the Swedish obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
Originally from Bremerton, Dr. Broughton is a proud Washington native. Outside work, she enjoys exploring Northwest wine country, cheering for the Seahawks, and spending time with her family.
