Review update: I officially graduated from PNWF this month. I am changing my review to 4 stars. The one-star deduction is for the clinic's communication issues. Communication between departments is not smooth, and patients must follow up. Also, if you have Kaiser insurance, I strongly recommend changing insurance before beginning treatment. I later switched to Aetna/Progyny and had no authorization issues after the change. My doctor was wonderful. After receiving my feedback, she checked in with me immediately and discussed my frustrations. She worked with me to rebuild trust and repair the relationship! My previous review: I should have read the Google reviews before working with them, but they were the first clinic my primary doctor referred me to. Because the U.S. healthcare system is unusual, obtaining a referral is not simple, so I decided to become a PNWF patient. It proved to be a nightmare. After the referral was received, I registered as a patient, completed many forms, and signed many waivers before I could finally schedule an appointment. I was told the earliest appointment was 3 months away. At the time, my schedule was arranged well in advance, so I booked it without much thought. The first issue happened two months later, when they simply canceled my appointment. They called to notify me and told me to call them to reschedule. Things happen, and I understood. I tried calling back for several days. No matter whether I called at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m., a voicemail always said I was calling outside office hours. Ironically, they would later call me back and ask me to call again. I work full-time and have many back-to-back meetings, so I cannot answer calls during them. After 3 or 4 rounds of this, I had to email and tell them to stop calling because I preferred email. They finally rescheduled my first appointment for a month later than the original date. After the long wait, I finally spoke with Dr. Chow. After I described all my concerns, life plans, and special circumstances, I was told they could do nothing unless we had tried to conceive for more than a year. I understand that doctors have practice guidelines. She ordered some blood tests. I had very good insurance, and based on the PDF booklet attached to their email, the prices did not seem unreasonable, so I agreed to all the testing. This later became another nightmare. When the results came back, Dr. Chow said I met the criteria for PCOS but that they would do nothing during the first year. I trusted her and began trying to conceive. I took an LH test every day to avoid missing any window. During the first few months, it felt new and interesting, but after several disappointing cycles it became extremely frustrating. After tracking three cycles, I contacted Dr. Chow's team and provided a detailed list of my records. They simply said to keep recording and let them know. I was upset because I did not understand the point of telling them when they clearly would do nothing. They effectively said I had to waste a year of my life before receiving help. What else could I do? I continued LH testing for another cycle and updated them. They finally scheduled another Zoom meeting. By this point, we had lost 6 months, excluding the three-month wait for the first appointment. The meeting went well, and Dr. Chow prescribed letrozole. She suggested trying the medication for another three months first. I had to ask her to order an HSG, and she agreed. The final straw was a $15,000 bill for genetic testing. It was initially denied by insurance, and two years later I received a $300 bill...

This was absolutely the worst experience at this clinic. The nurses are completely incompetent, unhelpful, and seemingly uninterested in patients. We constantly had to pursue answers, remind them to check things, and follow up ourselves because they took no action. Their lack of basic professionalism and compassion made an already stressful process much worse. Without the doctors, this place would be a complete disaster. The nurses are useless, disorganized, and unable to provide the standard of care expected from a fertility clinic.

We had an amazing experience here! Every interaction with nurses and doctors was positive, respectful, and informative. Dr. Rosenberg was our doctor, and we loved her. She is highly knowledgeable and helped us develop a plan to address our fertility issues. They were always very responsive to questions. We became pregnant after our first fertility treatment and now have a baby! I will always recommend PNWF to anyone struggling with fertility issues, and I will return when we are ready to try for another child!

My overall experience with every department at PNWF was excellent, especially with the doctors and nurses at both locations. The billing department's customer service and the doctors were outstanding and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this clinic because every staff member is wonderful, and they offer all financing options.

I am furious at this organization's disregard for intended parents. A friend agreed to donate her eggs because she did not plan to have children herself and had already passed the usual donor age. She decided to forgo compensation because this was also her opportunity to have a biological child. We would cover all medical costs, and our child could have a relationship with their biological mother. However, after speaking with PNWF, she said its staff encouraged her to ask for compensation. Considering all factors, including success rates and cost, our agency had recommended that we use their services. Three years later, our friend said she regretted not doing so. She said PNWF repeatedly told her she should not donate without compensation, which clouded her judgment. I understand that private agencies pay donors. But this is our hard-earned money, and we are trying to have a child, not doing this for entertainment. PNWF's blatant disregard for IPs is cruel, inhumane, and selfish. If you are an intended parent, you should avoid them.

This was the worst outcome of my three IVF egg retrievals. My insurance does not cover IVF, so I paid out of pocket, and this retrieval produced nothing. I had two virtual appointments with Dr. Lamb to ensure she understood the problems from my first two retrievals and to discuss different options. I described the issues from my prior cycles in great detail. She insisted that I needed a particular protocol and that I should “advocate” for it whether I chose her or another clinic. She even criticized my previous clinic for triggering too early and told us not to use other clinics we were considering because her laboratory was the best. Yet she did exactly what my previous clinic had done and prescribed only half their trigger dose. She retrieved half as many eggs, and I ended up with no embryos. At least my other clinic produced one euploid embryo with each retrieval. At our follow-up, she had no answer when asked what she would do differently. She wanted us to repeat the same protocol while expecting a different result. That is absurd. I trusted her because she spoke with such certainty during both consultations that we would achieve a different outcome, and she strongly pushed us to choose her clinic over the others we had considered. I now deeply regret trusting her. We are no closer to having a child, spent a large amount out of pocket, and wasted what may have been our final opportunity to become parents. During the consultations, she repeatedly said donor eggs were unnecessary because the issue was medical and this protocol would solve it. At the follow-up, she completely reversed her position, even though she had already reviewed data from two retrievals. As others have mentioned, this clinic has excellent salespeople, and I feel she is one of them. She never disclosed that the clinic's policy is to use only low doses of gonadotropin injections. From other patients, I also learned they have a policy limiting stimulation medication doses. They never told us this, and we absolutely would not have chosen this clinic had we known. When we raised these concerns and pointed out their poor communication during my cycle, they gaslighted us and told us we needed counseling. I deeply regret trusting Dr. Lamb and this clinic. Edit: I requested my medical records from PNWF and found multiple errors, ranging from conditions my child does not have to medications I have never taken, along with many false statements Dr. Lamb claimed I had made, while none of her own statements were documented. I went through their records correction process, but it was a joke. Instead of correcting or fully removing the errors, they simply cut them from one section and pasted them together at the bottom of the page. The errors remained despite my request to remove them completely. I regret ever becoming involved with them and would never recommend them because of their lack of professionalism.

My wife recently graduated from PNWF, and we are looking forward to our first OB-GYN visit. Our journey lasted nearly two years, and we feel very fortunate to have chosen Dr. Massie and PNWF! Communication was efficient and warm. We typically received updates from the team on the day of each visit by email, phone, or voicemail. Special thanks to Anna, Megan, and Kim. All our questions were answered promptly and clearly, usually within a few hours. Appointments were very convenient. One thing we liked about PNWF is that it is open almost every day, including weekends and holidays. Although my wife did not see Dr. Massie at every visit, every doctor and nurse practitioner she met was highly professional and very friendly. We also knew Dr. Massie reviewed and discussed results with the team, so we felt completely reassured. If you are considering donor eggs, note that PWNF accepts only fresh egg donors and does not accept frozen eggs from other egg banks, apart from its own bank. Arranging a fresh egg donor usually takes longer, but the process went relatively smoothly for us.

A very modern and clean clinic. All the doctors, nurses, and staff are very kind and experienced.

A terrible experience. Staff were dismissive and at one point even joked about the frightening symptoms and side effects I reported. Because they offered no acknowledgment or solution, I had to advocate relentlessly for myself to be taken seriously, and I felt deceived. This reflects a broader problem: the clinic is so focused on metrics such as egg count and treatment outcomes that it overlooks patients' emotional, psychological, and physical well-being.

Our experience at PNW Fertility was very poor, and I would not recommend it. I went to the Bellevue location for a repeat hysterosalpingogram (HSG); the staff there were professional and friendly, and the clinic was clean and comfortable. However, when the HSG showed both fallopian tubes were blocked and we did not want IVF, our doctor seemed completely uninterested in helping us find other options. She gave us a list of about 15 doctors who “might” treat blocked tubes. I spent a great deal of time calling them, but most could not help. I finally found a doctor who could treat the condition at another fertility clinic, and he was not on PNW's list. PNW then seemed to struggle to send my records to the new clinic. I understand that PNW cannot treat every condition, but I expect its doctors to refer patients to a provider that actually can. Sending patients on a frustrating, hopeless search for care is unacceptable.

After a terrible experience at Seattle Reproductive Medicine, I transferred to Pacific Northwest Fertility (PNWF), and the difference was remarkable. My doctor and care team were compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my well-being. IVF is a challenging journey, and having a team that truly supports you is essential. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member I encountered treated me with kindness and respect. I am very grateful for the care I received and highly recommend my physician, Dr. Tsai, and this clinic to anyone undergoing fertility treatment.

Before choosing PNWF, I researched and compared many fertility clinics, and I am confident I made the right decision. Dr. Massie is not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply compassionate. Every question I asked, large or small, received a clear, prompt, detailed, and logical answer. She was always patient and understanding and took time to explain every aspect of the process. What truly sets her apart is her dedication and reliability. For urgent matters and questions, such as trigger timing or unexpected minor pain, she personally called me after only a short wait, sometimes even after work. During IVF, when unexpected issues or concerns arise, having a doctor like Dr. Massie is invaluable. She is someone you can trust completely, and it is clear that she genuinely cares about her patients. She truly is an angel in this field. The rest of the team—doctors, nurses, and staff—were also wonderful. They worked together seamlessly and supported their patients and one another with professionalism and empathy. I am extremely grateful for the care I received at PNWF and highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility treatment. You will receive the best care here.

When my wife and I learned that we needed IVF, we met with several doctors and clinics to find the right fit. Dr. Shahine and her team at PNW Fertility won us over with their professionalism, deep knowledge, and ability to communicate that knowledge. Perhaps most importantly, they showed empathy and compassion as we entered a difficult stage in growing our family. A few years later, we have a healthy, happy child and have transferred another embryo in hopes of a sibling. Dr. Shahine, Dr. Lamb, Paige, Cassie, Olivia, and everyone else we encountered during both transfers were wonderful. We never doubted our decision to work with PNW Fertility and recommend them whenever appropriate. Thank you so much for helping us experience the joy—and exhaustion—of parenthood.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive our second child for a year and a half when we first met with Dr. Lamb at PNW Fertility in December 2024. Unfortunately, that initial consultation was the only time I ever saw or spoke to Dr. Lamb directly. We went through a failed IUI in January 2025 and then experienced a chemical pregnancy in February 2025. Throughout this entire process, I received no real support or follow-up from the clinic except emails from the nurses who gave me updates on my HCG levels. There was zero communication from Dr. Lamb herself, which felt incredibly isolating and disheartening during such an emotional time. In June 2025, I became pregnant naturally. I knew I would eventually receive all my prenatal care with my regular OB, but I figured PNW Fertility would help me monitor things in the beginning and then do a soft hand-off. Instead, I was told the clinic does not support “spontaneous pregnancies” and was essentially dropped as a patient. Despite my previous chemical pregnancy, all I was given was a “courtesy” HCG draw and a “good luck.” My experience with PNW Fertility was truly horrible. This was my first time working with a fertility clinic, and the complete lack of compassion and communication made an already difficult journey so much harder. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for supportive, caring fertility treatment.

We wanted to give PNWF a chance, but after four appointments and multiple interactions with the staff, we could no longer accept the way they operated. As an LGBT couple, we were initially drawn to the clinic because of Dr. Broughton. After our first appointment, her team and the billing department told me it was my responsibility to determine what was required for insurance coverage and that any missing steps would be my fault. When my insurer said the clinic needed to verify the requirements, her team and billing department brushed us off and remained vague about what was needed. At another clinic we previously used in Texas, the staff handled insurance matters and guided patients through the entire process, which was a stark contrast. Before my next appointment, I received a call on Friday saying it was scheduled for 11 a.m. I arrived on time and was then told it was actually at 1 p.m. I have work and a life outside this clinic, so having to wait two hours was frustrating, and I told the staff. While I was still at the clinic, the front desk failed to mention that I also had an ultrasound that day in addition to bloodwork and an HSG, or tell me when to return for it. During the blood draw, the technician did not seem to know what she was doing and wanted to collect samples for all my lab orders even though I only needed one. She drew the correct sample only after I insisted that she confirm with my team. If I had said nothing, I would have been charged for unnecessary blood tests. At my next visit with Dr. Broughton, she said she had heard about the front desk “incident,” that my wife and I needed to respect her staff, and that she had an excellent team who essentially should not be held responsible for incorrect or missing information. Regarding the missed ultrasound, she blamed my wife and me for not mentioning it, even though the front desk is responsible for checking patients in and directing them through their appointments. She showed no concern when I raised the bloodwork issue. When billing and coverage came up, she told me I should be “empowered” to verify my own benefits because my insurance plan was from another state and her team was unfamiliar with it. The clinic staff do not know what they are doing. They schedule duplicate tests, give incorrect appointment times, or miss parts of your care entirely, then turn around and blame you. Instead of finding a doctor who understood our concerns and assured us things would improve, we were told to seek care elsewhere, which we were happy to do. The staff and doctor lack empathy, accountability, professionalism, and organization and care only about making money. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone I care about, and if a successful pregnancy matters to you, I suggest staying away.

I saw Dr. Shahine at PNWF for recurrent pregnancy loss. Although I met her only twice, she patiently completed a very thorough evaluation, and together we developed a plan based on her expertise that I felt comfortable with. I received monitoring as often as I wanted, with ultrasounds performed by excellent ARNPs who were welcoming, supportive, and understanding. Dr. Shahine's skilled care team was always available by email to answer questions, usually within a few hours. Visiting a fertility clinic can feel intimidating, but I highly recommend this one.

Words cannot describe how incredible this team and my entire experience at PNWF were from beginning to end. I worked with Dr. Lamb, one of the most wonderful people I have met. Her whole team and everyone in the office were outstanding. A fertility journey is not easy, but every PNWF employee brought endless comfort and professionalism and, most importantly, an incredible result. BEWARE! If you want to do egg freezing, I would strongly encourage you to look somewhere else. After being acquired by Ivy Fertility, they have unilaterally decided that they are not a "long term" storage facility for egg freezing, which means that they arbitrarily increase storage prices "exponentially" after a few years of having your eggs there in order to push you out - because, you know, egg freezing is typically meant to be short term, right?? Completely unethical behavior at the very least, perhaps even illegal? Their "short term focus" to egg freezing is not mentioned anywhere in their page (check it out yourself!), nor was it mentioned to me when I decided to work with them. But now I am coerced to pay high amounts of money (*much* higher than market price) or risk egg transportation - for which they also require a liability waiver.

Our reciprocal IVF journey began in 2025-1, but the seed was planted earlier, in late 2024. That was when my partner and I first met Dr. Shannel Adams in Portland. From that first conversation, we felt heard, understood, and empowered to explore our options as we pursued our shared dream of building a family. Sometime after our initial meeting, Dr. Adams accepted a new position 150 miles north. We did not hesitate—my partner and I both knew we wanted her expertise and compassionate care to continue guiding us. We chose to follow her because we believed the right team would make an important difference in our fertility journey. As we transitioned care, we found an incredible support network at PNW Fertility. Alongside Dr. Adams, we met Laura, Anna, and especially Shanita, each of whom played a vital role in our experience. Shanita in particular was consistently present at every appointment and/or procedure, whether in Bellevue or Seattle. Her patience, kindness, and professionalism made the hardest days easier to bear. In moments of grief, she offered a shoulder to lean on and a steady, comforting voice. Our journey has not been easy. IVF places enormous physical and emotional demands on you, but having a dedicated team meant we never felt alone. Shanita's unwavering support—her attentive presence, willingness to answer every question and email, calls about dosage, and ability to comfort us through difficult moments—brought us tremendous reassurance. As we prepare for our next cycle, we feel both hopeful and uncertain. Although we cannot predict the outcome, knowing that the excellent PNW Fertility team is supporting us is deeply encouraging. Dr. Adams and Shanita have brought us closer to our dream of building a family. Their compassion and dedication have made us feel supported and optimistic about the future. N + K

A surrogate's perspective: I underwent two IVF cycles for a family and ultimately had to withdraw. My experience was extremely painful. It took me about six months before I could speak calmly about it, and there are some things I do not want to share publicly. Ultimately, my body became a commodity and a vessel. I was no longer treated as a patient or a person. They dismissed my allergic reaction to medication. They threatened to cancel my surrogacy eligibility if I could not attend appointments on time, even though they scheduled those appointments without my consent. The doctors were often cold and uncaring. Near the end, I remember one doctor asking how I felt and treating me kindly; I called a friend because it felt so unusual. Without my consent, the doctors invited the intended parents into the room during the transfer. There is much I do not want to discuss publicly, but after crying hysterically during the transfer, I had to withdraw, unfortunately causing a loss for the family. If the clinic had genuinely cared and focused on providing medical care to me, not only services to the intended parents, I could have undergone a third IVF cycle for them. The treatment caused the family a major financial loss, and I am still trying to recover from the emotional trauma.

I highly recommend PNW Fertility. The clinic is exceptionally well organized and has some of the best doctors in the region. We chose Dr. Lamb as our primary physician. During treatment, we met nearly every doctor at the clinic, and each experience was excellent. Special thanks to Dr. Shahine, Dr. Rothenburg, and Dr. Broughton for our scans. Dr. Massie and Dr. Nguyen performed our egg retrievals. Dr. Tsai performed our embryo transfer. Physician assistant Paige Maberry was outstanding during all our follow-ups and other scans. They are trauma-informed and understand the intense emotions involved in this process. Dr. Lamb was very thoughtful and adjusted our treatment plan when necessary. Those adjustments were effective and improved our chances of success. The nursing teams working with the doctors are responsive and helpful. We felt well informed and fully supported throughout treatment. Their emails are very detailed, and the schedules they provide are excellent. The front desk staff, schedulers, and blood laboratory technicians are all helpful and professional. Their Seattle clinic is very convenient if you work downtown. Their Bellevue clinic is beautiful, and most procedures are performed there. We are very grateful to have found PNW Fertility to help us build our family. The fertility journey is not always smooth, so having a world-class fertility specialist is essential.

My husband and I had an excellent consultation experience with Dr. Lamb and everyone at PNW F. These talented women made one of the most difficult periods of my life much easier. If you are struggling with infertility, I highly recommend consulting Dr. Lamb. She is calm, approachable, and direct.

Every member of the care team I met was gentle, kind, and considerate, and they were very helpful during testing. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable.

Compared with some other counselors who felt more negative and judgmental, the initial consultation here was excellent, offering realistic expectations while remaining hopeful. I appreciated their holistic approach and that they treated us as people before we even began trying, rather than merely as statistics.

The front desk never answers the phone. I believe the first rule of a good business is adequate staffing so patients receive proper care.

I’ve only had one appointment but I was very impressed! I’ve gone through three pregnancies at a regular OB and things always moved slowly, lots of waiting. Today I went for my initial bloodwork and ultrasound as prep for my first meeting with the doctor - and wow, were they FAST! I was in and out within 30 minutes. The nurse practitioner (I think her name was Olivia) was so positive, kind and just generally lovely during my time with her - made the whole experience so much better. She took the time to explain everything she was looking at and never made me feel rushed - I really felt her kindness shine through. Front desk and nurses were all very nice. Thank you!

Her free online website taught me everything I was doing wrong while trying to conceive and helped me get pregnant faster. Thank you, doctor!

Dr. Laura’s YouTube videos helped us tremendously. We were planning a pregnancy when we came across Dr. Shahine’s advice on YouTube. Fortunately, we also lived in Washington State, where Dr. Shahine practices. Following her advice, we had a hysterosalpingogram and continued taking prenatal supplements. We considered more advanced treatments, but following the routine steps she recommended helped us conceive before any additional intervention was needed.

Dr. Shahine is an amazing doctor! She is very thorough, listens to my concerns, discusses the treatment plan, and includes you in your care. I never felt rushed; I felt heard and cared for by her and her team! I absolutely recommend her, 10/10.
