Dr. Mitchell Rein, United States
Mitchell S. Rein, MD, is a member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he practices infertility, assisted reproductive technology, and gynecology as part of the Mass General/North Shore OB/GYN practice. He is an associate professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School and has published extensively on uterine fibroids, infertility, and quality improvement. Dr. Rein served as chief medical officer and senior vice president of medical affairs at Salem Hospital from 2004 to 2023 and as chair of obstetrics and gynecology from 1997 to 2006.
Dr. Rein is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in reproductive endocrinology. He is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Technology, American College of Physician Executives, Boston Obstetrical Society, New England Obstetrical Society, and Massachusetts Medical Society.
Dr. Rein earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed an OB/GYN residency and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
