Dr. Shruthi Mahalingaiah, United States
Dr. Mahalingaiah holds a bachelor's degree from Middlebury College, a medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and a Master of Science in epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health. Before joining the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, she completed her OB/GYN residency in the combined Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women's Hospital program. She was a fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
She spent 8 years in obstetrics and gynecology at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine, supporting the reproductive goals of underserved populations. She received support from two K-level training grants, including the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health K12 and the Reproductive Scientist Development Program, to study environmental exposures and gynecologic disease in existing large cohorts. She received the Endocrine Society Early Investigator Award and funding from the Ellison Family Foundation in 2016, followed by an RSDP seed grant in 2017 to pilot a new cohort platform for studying menstrual cycles and ovulatory disorders.
She holds joint appointments in the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Her clinical practice focuses on ovulatory disorders, PCOS, and infertility.
