    My wife had her first ultrasound today, and in short, the technician burst our bubble of happiness. My wife and I were privately discussing the baby's arrival and a few plans for the future when the technician rudely interrupted in a negative tone and said we should focus on making it to 12 weeks. Of course, we know many different things can happen, but we were excited to look forward to a new life. The technician could simply have kept her thoughts to herself, especially since we had not included her in the conversation. I never leave negative reviews, but even after some time, that comment still makes my wife and me uncomfortable. What should have been a beautiful moment was easily turned into a terrible experience.

    The ultrasound department has the worst attitude and disgusting conduct. The ultrasound technician who saw me said my baby was overweight. Because of her poor judgment, I had unnecessary ultrasounds every Monday because his measurements were large. I believe all that unnecessary radiation caused my son's autism four years later. Thanks to the overweight Jewish woman working there who did not know what she was talking about.

    An absolutely terrible experience. I waited for this appointment, traveled all the way from New Jersey, and was told the doctor would not be coming. They tried to call me after 8 a.m. on the day of the appointment. This is a large hospital, and I should have been seen by a doctor, especially because I had said I was in pain. Trying to notify me after 8 was inadequate. No one cared. I was told another location had an appointment, and then the person disappeared. I will never return. The waiting-area seats were also dirty, with tissues left by other people.

    I want to share my experience with a gynecologic exam by Dr. Jennifer Jackson. This was my second exam with her. The first was fine, but the second was very unpleasant. First, I waited about 45 minutes in the exam room to be seen. Second, during the pelvic exam, I felt she was inconsiderate because I could not relax the way she wanted. She became irritated and forcefully swabbed me three times for a bacterial culture, causing significant pain and discomfort. She removed her gloves and left! I will never see this doctor again because she was impatient and unprofessional with me.

    Time management is extremely poor. The second floor does not care whether you have an appointment. They see you 30 minutes after your scheduled time, delay your infusion, and claim they are "taking care of other patients." At minimum, they should stop scheduling everyone and their mother on the same day and then complaining that they are too busy. My mother has stage 4 cancer, and we rely on transportation. Their poor time management makes missed rides unaffordable for us. Update: Because of their negligent time management, we had to cancel our transportation and pay out of pocket. One nurse was extremely rude and dismissed our concerns about missing our ride, saying she was busy. If our 1:30 chemotherapy appointment were actually at 1:30, we would have been on time rather than starting at 2:15. The treatment was also delayed, but their excuse was that they were "busy"—again, stop scheduling everyone and their mother on one day. Because they did not respect patients' time, we now have to pay money we do not have out of pocket.

    If I could give this place a poor start, I would! The front desk staff at 1575 Blondell are so rude! She pretended she could not hear me and hung up, then would not answer when I called back! What is going on?

    My experience getting an ultrasound at Montefiore was very disappointing. The sonographer’s tone was cold from the moment she entered. She abruptly told me to take off my pants. I complied, but her lack of courtesy bothered me. During the examination, she barely spoke except to say, “This baby is being a little difficult.” She reapplied gel and pressed firmly without explaining what she was checking. About ten minutes later, she called in another staff member, and they silently continued the examination. This was the first time I saw my baby, but instead of feeling supported, I felt invisible. No one explained anything or reassured me, and at the end I was left to clean myself up and get off the table alone. I left feeling completely disregarded. I later went to another hospital, where the care was entirely different. Patients deserve to feel seen, respected, and informed, especially during pregnancy.

    My experience at this fertility clinic was very disappointing. After completing laboratory tests, I never received any follow-up about the results. Instead, Dr. Gingold wanted to conduct a comprehensive workup without taking time to sit down, properly discuss my concerns, or explain the treatment options. I ultimately received a bill of more than $400 but was given no understanding of my health or next steps. Communication and patient care are essential, especially in a sensitive area such as fertility, but unfortunately, I did not feel supported or heard here. Not recommended.

    This fertility center is amazing. The staff, nurses, and doctors are all wonderful. I recommend this center 1000%. They monitor you closely and provide results quickly. If you have questions, they help and do not hesitate to call or text. You can ask as many questions as you like, and they answer professionally. Dr. Julia Gingold is an amazing doctor. I love and respect him because he supported me throughout my journey. This is my second pregnancy. I miscarried the first because I have polycystic ovary syndrome, but now I am pregnant again. God willing, everything will go well with this baby. Thank you all so much for everything. I appreciate everything you do for mothers trying to become pregnant and have children. I would choose you 1000%.

    Desiree is truly exceptional and sets the standard for what patient care and communication should look like. She consistently goes out of her way to call, follow up, and make sure appointments are confirmed or rescheduled smoothly. She’s always kind, professional, and never sounds rushed or bothered. Most importantly, when she says she’ll get back to you, she actually does she brings a level of care that really stands out the same goes for Dr. DeForest she is the best never rushes and will answer every question with care. As for the reproductive medicine, fertility, and genetics departments if confusion, silence, and runaround were billable services, they’d be operating at peak efficiency. Communication is so inconsistent it feels like a group project where no one talks to each other, and the finance side adds just enough mystery to keep things exciting (and by exciting, I mean unnecessarily stressful). Getting a clear answer or a timely response can feel like a full-time job, which is the last thing anyone needs in an already sensitive process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility for fertility-related care. Meanwhile, in urology and neurology, “we’ll call you back” seems to be more of a long-term aspiration than an actual plan. At this point, you could probably complete treatment, write a case study about it, and still be waiting for that return call.

    I have been visiting this clinic regularly, and over time it has become a reassuring place where I consistently feel supported, especially during what can be a very sensitive journey. At the front desk, I usually see Josephine and Stephanie, who are always warm and friendly. The clinic is clearly busy and fast-paced, yet they still take time to treat every patient with patience and respect, which truly matters. Gloria in the lab is wonderful. Her calm, gentle manner and kindness are especially meaningful when you feel anxious or vulnerable. The nursing team is also excellent. I have spoken with Jasmine and Tammy, and they are always supportive and reassuring. I appreciate their thoughtful, clear follow-up calls, which make me feel cared for. The doctors, including Dr. Polack and Dr. Jingold, are excellent. Their knowledge and experience are immediately apparent. Under their care, you feel reassured that you are being properly looked after, whatever the circumstances. The clinic is busy, so there may be a wait depending on the day and time. In my experience, however, the wait has never been excessive or affected the overall quality of care. Overall, the staff are compassionate, professional, and dedicated. I am very grateful for their care and would recommend this clinic to anyone on a similar journey.

    Hello, my name is Michelle, and I have been a patient at this clinic for more than five years. My story began in 2020, when my husband and I decided to try IVF. The process was not easy, but this clinic made it worthwhile. I began seeing Dr. Michelle Goldsammler, who was wonderful. From 2020 to 2021, I tried three times. The first failed, and although I became pregnant on the next two attempts, both pregnancies ultimately ended. The doctors and nurses did everything possible to support me and give me hope. They were all amazing. I felt discouraged and almost hopeless, so I decided to wait before trying again. Three years later, in 2024, I returned to the Montefiore Institute. This time my doctor was Dr. Harry Leiman, the best doctor I have ever met. He was dedicated and took my case very seriously. He did everything possible to determine the cause of my false pregnancies and ensured I underwent many tests I had never received in 2020. In May 2024, I tried again and experienced another false pregnancy. This time, however, I remained confident and did not give up. I kept my faith and hope and tried again in September 2024, an experience I will always remember. On my fifth attempt, thank God, my dream finally came true and my prayers were answered. I became pregnant—with twins, who were born in May 2025. I waited 15 years for this precious gift from God. I share this to express my gratitude to the clinic. From the doctors, especially Dr. Leiman, to the nurses and front- and back-office staff, everyone was wonderful and played a vital role in my life that I will never forget. Thank God they gave me strength, hope, and endless love. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking infertility care. They are outstanding and do everything possible to help every patient.     Discrimination!!! I visited this clinic twice as an expectant mother for ultrasounds and was treated poorly both times. Manager Cindy makes empty promises and does not care about the clinic's lack of compassion and support for patients. The disparity in effective, equal healthcare for Black women compared with women of other races is no secret. I am extremely disappointed☹️ and do not recommend this clinic to women.
