    My experience getting an ultrasound at Montefiore was very disappointing. The sonographer’s tone was cold from the moment she entered. She abruptly told me to take off my pants. I complied, but her lack of courtesy bothered me. During the examination, she barely spoke except to say, “This baby is being a little difficult.” She reapplied gel and pressed firmly without explaining what she was checking. About ten minutes later, she called in another staff member, and they silently continued the examination. This was the first time I saw my baby, but instead of feeling supported, I felt invisible. No one explained anything or reassured me, and at the end I was left to clean myself up and get off the table alone. I left feeling completely disregarded. I later went to another hospital, where the care was entirely different. Patients deserve to feel seen, respected, and informed, especially during pregnancy.

    If I could give this place a poor start, I would! The front desk staff at 1575 Blondell are so rude! She pretended she could not hear me and hung up, then would not answer when I called back! What is going on?

    Time management is extremely poor. The second floor does not care whether you have an appointment. They see you 30 minutes after your scheduled time, delay your infusion, and claim they are "taking care of other patients." At minimum, they should stop scheduling everyone and their mother on the same day and then complaining that they are too busy. My mother has stage 4 cancer, and we rely on transportation. Their poor time management makes missed rides unaffordable for us. Update: Because of their negligent time management, we had to cancel our transportation and pay out of pocket. One nurse was extremely rude and dismissed our concerns about missing our ride, saying she was busy. If our 1:30 chemotherapy appointment were actually at 1:30, we would have been on time rather than starting at 2:15. The treatment was also delayed, but their excuse was that they were "busy"—again, stop scheduling everyone and their mother on one day. Because they did not respect patients' time, we now have to pay money we do not have out of pocket.

    I want to share my experience with a gynecologic exam by Dr. Jennifer Jackson. This was my second exam with her. The first was fine, but the second was very unpleasant. First, I waited about 45 minutes in the exam room to be seen. Second, during the pelvic exam, I felt she was inconsiderate because I could not relax the way she wanted. She became irritated and forcefully swabbed me three times for a bacterial culture, causing significant pain and discomfort. She removed her gloves and left! I will never see this doctor again because she was impatient and unprofessional with me.

    My wife had her first ultrasound today, and in short, the technician burst our bubble of happiness. My wife and I were privately discussing the baby's arrival and a few plans for the future when the technician rudely interrupted in a negative tone and said we should focus on making it to 12 weeks. Of course, we know many different things can happen, but we were excited to look forward to a new life. The technician could simply have kept her thoughts to herself, especially since we had not included her in the conversation. I never leave negative reviews, but even after some time, that comment still makes my wife and me uncomfortable. What should have been a beautiful moment was easily turned into a terrible experience.

    An absolutely terrible experience. I waited for this appointment, traveled all the way from New Jersey, and was told the doctor would not be coming. They tried to call me after 8 a.m. on the day of the appointment. This is a large hospital, and I should have been seen by a doctor, especially because I had said I was in pain. Trying to notify me after 8 was inadequate. No one cared. I was told another location had an appointment, and then the person disappeared. I will never return. The waiting-area seats were also dirty, with tissues left by other people.

    The ultrasound department has the worst attitude and disgusting conduct. The ultrasound technician who saw me said my baby was overweight. Because of her poor judgment, I had unnecessary ultrasounds every Monday because his measurements were large. I believe all that unnecessary radiation caused my son's autism four years later. Thanks to the overweight Jewish woman working there who did not know what she was talking about.
