Dr. Jennifer Mersereau, United States
Jennifer E. Mersereau, M.D., MSCI, is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where she also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation, followed by an REI fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
Before joining SGF, Dr. Mersereau was Medical Director of Assisted Reproductive Technology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She also served as a professor of OB/GYN and Director of the Fertility Preservation Program at UNC.
Frequently recognized for research excellence, Dr. Mersereau has contributed to numerous publications, presentations, and book chapters on fertility preservation for cancer patients, improved frozen embryo transfer outcomes, and mental health related to infertility. She is an associate editor of Fertility and Sterility.
Dr. Mersereau has served on several national committees, including the ASRM Practice Committee, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) Practice Committee, and the Fertility Preservation Special Interest Group.
Dr. Mersereau is Medical Director of SGF Carolinas and provides patient care at SGF's Raleigh, North Carolina location. She enjoys recharging with doubles tennis or a good book.
