Dr. Scotchie loves caring for women and has dedicated her career to improving their lives. A four-month REI rotation during residency inspired her to specialize in the field. Its rapidly evolving technology and potential to profoundly change the lives of women and couples facing infertility fascinated her.
After becoming a mother and experiencing boundless love for her child, she became even more determined to help others experience the love of parenthood. Becoming a reproductive endocrinologist was an easy decision.
“To my knowledge, no other medical field is as rewarding, awe-inspiring, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally challenging as reproductive endocrinology,” Dr. Scotchie said. “As a woman, I understand the anxiety caused by female reproductive disorders. Although I cannot help every patient conceive, I can provide compassionate, expert care to help them navigate the many obstacles and challenges.”
Dr. Scotchie has an adventurous spirit and loves traveling to explore new places and cultures. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, gardening, and running. Cooking is another favorite pastime, especially after a busy day.

After a long infertility journey, we are thrilled to finally be pregnant, thanks to the exceptional team at Tennessee Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Murray and Dr. Scotchie are not only experts in their field but also compassionate and patient. They carefully explained every option, answered every question, and guided us through each IVF step with empathy and care.
IVF can be overwhelming, but the entire Tennessee Reproductive Medicine team—from the front desk to the nurses and laboratory technicians—made the process feel smooth and hopeful.
We will always be grateful to Tennessee Reproductive Medicine for helping us achieve our dream of parenthood. If you are struggling with infertility, we highly recommend TRM—they are truly exceptional.

When I began visiting TRM in 2022, I felt comfortable, heard, and validated. I did not feel like a dollar sign; I felt they cared about me as a patient. I was seeing Dr. Vukmer, who was truly an angel. We completed several procedures, always had a plan for what came next, and never had communication problems.
In 2024, after two years at the clinic, I requested an appointment and only then learned Dr. Vukmer had left. Should her patients not have been told promptly so they were not blindsided? I was told I could choose another doctor to take over my plan. I chose Dr. Scotchie because I had once seen Dr. Murray, whose personality was like a dry sponge. At our first meeting, Dr. Scotchie made my husband and me feel like idiots and as though the consultation wasted her time. The front desk staff were very rude except for one woman. The laboratory staff were always kind.
When you enter this clinic, you see a dollar sign. During one of life's hardest trials, compassion would help, as would feeling that people are there to help rather than simply make money. TRM, on behalf of the trying-to-conceive community, do better.

I do not usually write reviews like this, but the communication—or lack of it—has been terrible. I have tried for months to schedule an appointment. I called, left voicemails, messaged their Facebook page, and registered for the online portal, but received no response. I left several voicemails and, of course, no one called back. I am very disappointed and frustrated. It appears we must go elsewhere because these people do not care.

I have been a patient at TRM since February. Although I live in Murphy, North Carolina, two hours from the clinic, the staff have never made me feel like a burden. They always understand the long distance and do their best to accommodate us. Yesterday, my appointment was nearly canceled after I arrived, but Candy went above and beyond to ensure I was seen. Her genuine concern and determination to find a solution meant so much to us. The entire TRM team is wonderful, supportive, and truly cares about every patient. Highly recommend!

I am deeply grateful to Tennessee Reproductive Medicine for helping me achieve my dream of becoming a mother. Dr. Scotchie performed a truly life-changing surgery that gave me the opportunity to become pregnant, and I will be forever grateful. Her skill, compassion, and dedication changed my life for the better.
I also want to give special thanks to Dr. Shelby Wright, who was kind, understanding, and patient throughout my pregnancy journey. She listened to every concern and always made me feel fully supported and cared for.
I cannot forget the outstanding nurses, who went above and beyond to make every visit comfortable and encouraging. Their warmth and kindness made a meaningful difference during this emotional time.
Thanks to this excellent team, I am now 12 weeks pregnant with a boy! Words cannot express my gratitude for their care, expertise, and compassion. They helped restore my hope and joy. 💙

Extremely disappointing. After years of 'unexplained infertility' and a miscarriage, my husband and I came to TRM seeking the root cause. Unfortunately, that was not TRM's goal. Dr. Murray insisted on IVF, which felt premature because IVF addresses specific problems, and we did not know ours. After months of frustration, he said he knew nobody who became pregnant after leaving TRM—essentially, 'we are your only hope.' Two months later, I conceived naturally and delivered our healthy son. Infertility is frightening, lonely, and heartbreaking. TRM and Dr. Murray made me feel worse, not better. If I need help becoming pregnant in the future, I will never return.

After my entire family sadly passed away, I was 30, very lonely, and felt lost in life. I underwent IVF at TRM and had a wonderful experience. I had struggled to conceive and had PCOS. My first transfer worked, and today I am holding my one-week-old baby and could not be happier. I am truly grateful to all the doctors. I had the chance to meet every doctor there and was very pleased with all of them! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making my life complete. 🥹 Highly recommended!

I would not be a mother without this clinic and the surgery performed by Dr. Scotch. I had previously been told that I needed a hysterectomy because of severe uterine fibroids. I searched for other treatment options and found this clinic. It was not until this consultation that I truly felt heard. I underwent an open myomectomy, and 46 fibroids were removed. I gave birth to my baby last week and am overjoyed. None of this would have been possible without the attentive care and extensive experience I found here.
Thank you for not giving up on a difficult case! You truly changed the course of my life.

The service is good, but the prices are higher than those of similar providers. They also require a referral before accepting payment, which I found strange because my insurance does not cover these services.

Dr. Scotchie has the strongest medical ethics of any doctor I have met. She is kind and compassionate. She knows her specialty thoroughly and stays current with medical advances. Highly recommended.

We struggled to become pregnant for a long time. We had a consultation and conceived that same month. I learned that my cycles were unusually long and that I ovulated late. Everyone was very kind and courteous. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our beautiful, healthy son is now six months old.

Dr. Scotchie and her office staff are amazing! They helped my young daughter tremendously and pointed us in the right direction for managing a rare condition. I never doubted their excellent care and expertise. Dr. Scotchie is knowledgeable and compassionate. We are grateful that she was involved in my daughter's treatment!

Do not go there. They will have you do many IUIs to make a lot of money, then tell you that you need IVF after making at least 5 to 8 thousand. Instead of doing one, two, or three IUIs, they will do at least 8 or more before moving you to IVF, which is very expensive. Do not let them take advantage of you. There are many good doctors there who will not treat you that way, such as Dr. Murray. He is very good and works at the same location. If not for him, I do not think she could succeed on her own.
