Personal Interests/Passion
Dr. Aubuchon has a special interest in the care and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She previously founded and directed PCOS Centers of Excellence at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Missouri. Dr. Aubuchon also specializes in helping patients balance and transition hormone therapy.
Dr. Aubuchon is also passionate about educating the next generation of women's health professionals. She maintains adjunct faculty appointments at both the University of Missouri-Columbia and Saint Louis University.
Because of her parents' infertility, Dr. Aubuchon and her only sibling are 14 years apart, and she witnessed the distress of those years firsthand. In 1996, during her third year of medical school on an OB/GYN rotation, she immediately saw the potential solutions offered by reproductive medicine and its technologies and knew she wanted to be part of that field. She is passionate about respecting and educating patients, helping them understand all treatment options as fully as possible, and choosing the option they are most comfortable with that offers the highest pregnancy rate, taking into account their medical conditions and test results, personal beliefs, and cost.
