Dr. Amos Madanes, United States
Since 1979, Dr. Amos E. Madanes has helped couples facing infertility. As director of Midwest Fertility Center in Chicago and Downers Grove, Illinois, he uses assisted reproductive technologies he developed to help patients pursue parenthood, particularly in cases of male factor infertility.
Dr. Madanes earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University and completed specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at Tufts University. With subspecialty certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (CREI) from Harvard Medical School, he served as chair of gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital and director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Loyola University before founding Midwest Fertility Center. An innovator in reproductive endocrinology, Dr. Madanes has published articles in scientific journals and contributed to medical textbooks. He achieved the first successful pregnancy through nonsurgical intratubal insemination.
Midwest Fertility Center and Dr. Madanes are honored members of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), American Medical Association (AMA), and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.
