    RMI helped my husband and me complete our family, and we will always be grateful. The doctors, nurses, and staff made the entire process as quick and stress-free as possible.     ** This review is for the women at the downtown clinic, not RMI as a whole. ** I cannot praise the downtown clinic enough. From the moment I entered, Lupe's welcoming voice was so kind, and seeing her always put me at ease. She answered calls promptly and was extremely efficient, but more importantly, she was thoughtful and understanding. Angela and Marie began as my ultrasound technicians and became my friends! They always brought me comfort, listened to me, hugged me when I needed it, and made an uncomfortable and painful treatment process easier and more pleasant. I truly came to love these women and am deeply grateful that they were part of my treatment. Thank you, Lupe, Angela, and Marie!

    I was with RMI for 3 years and have to say I loved the downtown staff. Lupe was always attentive, answered every question, and made me feel welcome whenever I entered the office, especially because she knew who I was. Marie, the ultrasound technician, made me feel comfortable, always explained what she was going to do, and kept the room from feeling awkward. Everyone I met at RMI felt like family, and I appreciate all they did.

    We received attentive care from Dr. Nayak and the other team members at Reproductive Medicine Institute (RMI). Dr. Nayak was patient, kind, and calm as she guided us through IVF during one of the most vulnerable periods of our lives. We now have a wonderful son and feel very fortunate to be part of the RMI family. We are extremely grateful that our OB-GYN recommended Dr. Nayak, and we highly recommend RMI.

    I began treatment at RMI in January and was happily pregnant nine months later. Dr. T was my doctor. Apart from the initial consultation call, I did not see or speak with her, but that did not bother me because I knew she reviewed my laboratory results and designed my treatment plan. Dr. Nayak performed my egg retrieval and frozen embryo transfer and was one of the kindest people I met. Retrievals and transfers are handled by the doctor on duty. If you prefer extensive personal contact and frequent calls, RMI may not suit you. Everything is handled through their messaging app, which I liked because I easily forget phone conversations. Questions sent through the app were answered the same day. If I was especially concerned, I called reception to reach my nursing team. RMI is highly professional and develops and executes treatment plans well, although it offers fewer personal touches than some clinics. Multiple Chicago-area locations are convenient, and appointments usually involve only a few minutes' wait because they are very punctual. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my treatment and care team and would absolutely recommend them.

    We pursued IVF after trying for 5 years. We were initially told the problem was the eggs, so we used donor eggs. After 3 attempts, they began questioning the sperm as well and suggested buying frozen embryos. We changed laboratories and went to Northwestern, where we had a healthy baby on the first attempt using the supposedly “faulty” egg and sperm. It seemed that many procedures were done simply to use up our insurance fertility benefit. The billing department also charged several costs that we had to dispute.

    Everyone, from the reception staff to the physicians, is caring, thoughtful, and helpful. I primarily visit the downtown Chicago clinic, but I found the staff at the Oak Brook location equally excellent.

    I had a wonderful experience at RMI. I had previously visited an infertility clinic where the staff were cold and difficult to reach, but RMI exceeded all my expectations. The nurses, doctors, front desk staff, ultrasound technicians, phlebotomists, and surgical staff were all supportive, patient, and kind.     I am very grateful to have worked with Dr. Nayak and her team. I had several fertility issues and honestly began to think I could not have children. Dr. Nayak patiently investigated and worked to identify the underlying causes. After three embryo transfers, I finally became pregnant and now have my son.     I received letters and emails from Natera, which appears to be the laboratory sending them. This is what they sent repeatedly, even after I emailed my insurance card and called them to resolve the issue. “We are sending this email regarding services provided by Natera Inc. that were ordered by your doctor. We are unable to verify your insurance details so that we can bill your insurance.” I called a second time, and they hung up on me! Why am I only receiving this two years later? Repeatedly?

    Dr. Trukhacheva and her team are amazing. My journey with infertility was certainly not easy. I went through treatments, multiple surgeries, transfers, and retrievals. I am deeply grateful for their support and kindness throughout the process. In 2022, I was fortunate to have my son with the help of this outstanding team. Now, almost three years later, I am fortunate to be pregnant with my second child. Infertility is difficult enough, but having a team supporting and cheering you on at every step makes the process worthwhile. Thank you again, RMI. Thank you to the exceptional doctors, nurses, surgical staff, office staff, and phlebotomists who were my people during this difficult but rewarding time in my life.     I am convinced this is the best fertility clinic in the Chicago area! After spending years at another clinic where I was treated like a number, I switched to RMI and wholeheartedly believe they are miracle workers.     I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Reproductive Medicine Institute (RMI). From the beginning, the staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and professional. Every appointment involved attentive care, and the instructions for medications and subsequent procedures were clear and easy to understand, greatly reducing the stress of the process. The clinic is conveniently located, spotless, and well organized, making visits smooth and comfortable. I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility, and thanks to the RMI team’s expertise and support, I became pregnant after my first frozen embryo transfer. My pregnancy had no complications, and our lovely daughter is now 8 weeks old—everything was perfect. We will always be grateful to RMI for helping us achieve our dream of becoming parents.

    I had an excellent experience with this clinic and its staff. My doctor, Elena Trukhaceva, patiently took the time to understand my diminished ovarian reserve, reviewed my previous egg retrieval protocols from an REI clinic, and tailored a protocol that might work for me based on how my ovarian function recovered. She did not give up hope for me, which made me feel we were on the right path. I am extremely grateful for her knowledge and expertise! Dr. Shweta Nayak performed all my egg retrievals and transfers. She has a heart of gold and can make you feel safe and comforted even in the darkest moments. The staff and nurses always answered all my questions promptly. The ultrasound team was excellent and very kind during difficult times. I also underwent several procedures and follow-up visits with Kaitlyn Burke, whose compassion and care are unmatched. I have referred friends to this clinic and will continue to recommend it!

    After a long three years at RMI, I can honestly say this clinic and its staff changed my life. I went through countless tests and appointments, and throughout that time the nurses, phlebotomists, and doctors were always kind, patient, and compassionate. Tiffany, in particular, was a bright light throughout my journey. She always made me feel seen and cared for, as if I truly mattered. On the hardest days, she comforted me and encouraged me to keep going. She was my cheerleader, standing beside me through all the ups and downs of infertility.     I recently graduated from RMI and am very grateful for the attentive care I received there. The nurses supported me throughout the process. Whether at monitoring appointments, over the phone, or while answering all my questions, large or small, they were always patient, kind, and reassuring. Their care made an emotionally difficult and overwhelming process much easier, and I never felt that I was facing it alone. Dr. Ahmad was outstanding during my egg retrieval and embryo transfer. Although I only saw her a few times, I know she was an important part of my success, and I will always be grateful to her and the rest of the team.     The overall experience was good, but there were some problems. The billing department was a nightmare, with poor attitudes and last-minute charges added on appointment days. They told me I could not continue treatment unless I paid immediately. This made every appointment very stressful.

    RMI is absolutely one of the best fertility clinics! We began working with them seven years ago, and after three miscarriages, our first IVF cycle was successful. We are grateful to the late Dr. Rana and the entire outstanding team for guiding us throughout. Five years later, we returned to RMI for a frozen embryo transfer with Dr. Amanda and succeeded again! We had some complications in early pregnancy, and Dr. Amanda and her team guided us through the right steps and followed up weekly. We loved working with Dr. Amanda. She was wonderful, warm, friendly, and always patiently answered my many questions. We are now proud parents of two wonderful children, all thanks to RMI. Their entire team is excellent. From the doctors and nurses to the laboratory staff, everyone is knowledgeable and extremely attentive to detail, and they never miss daily instructions or next steps. Being able to view reports promptly through their portal was also very helpful. Appointments were quick, and we never waited long to see a doctor or have testing. We are very satisfied with their service! We highly recommend RMI. Thank you!

    I recently contacted Reproductive Medicine Institute and was disappointed by the experience. The person I spoke with "Patty" made it so awkward it was brief and made assumptions based on my BMI she kept saying we have a limit my bmi is not high (29) and overlooked my professional background in medicine since 2008 just because this is not my specialty does not mean I don't understand. I have PCOS and wanted to explore the reasons behind my two early pregnancy losses. Unfortunately, the conversation felt extremely dismissive and did not address my concerns adequately she just wanted to get me off the phone. I hope the clinic can improve its approach to patient care and communication. I felt compelled to leave this review just to give others a heads up with their scheduling process. The receptionist were super sweet.♡

    After being transferred to scheduling, I waited before an African American woman answered. She was apparently complaining to a coworker that ‘these phones keep ringing,’ and then hung up. I work in healthcare and spend 99% of my eight-hour workday answering calls. I have never experienced anything like this. My calls are about medications, not patients genuinely trying to become pregnant. It is appalling to hang up on someone trying to schedule an appointment that could bring them one step closer to having a child. If you dislike the job, quit. This behavior was disgusting. (Patty was nice, though.)

    I decided to leave this fertility clinic and continue treatment elsewhere, and I am sharing my experience. Although I appreciate some of the support and guidance we received, our overall experience—especially during frozen embryo transfer (FET)—was deeply disappointing. The procedure-day care felt unprofessional and, in my view, did not follow clinical safety standards. I was placed in a consultation room for morning preparation and discharge. It contained old office equipment, visible clutter, and even cobwebs. When I asked why I had been placed there, staff said it was not a consultation room, although the emergency evacuation map on the door clearly labeled it as one. After the procedure, I was taken back to the same room to dress and had to walk through reception and the waiting area in a hospital gown. A nonclinical space with a desk and velvet chairs felt unhygienic, especially immediately after a procedure involving the cervix. I raised these concerns with management. Although they apologized, they offered no clear explanation or assurance about how the issue would be addressed for future patients. Given the cost of care, I expected higher professional and safety standards. Communication was another major issue. After two failed transfers and multiple SIS procedures, we wanted to discuss next steps directly with the doctor instead of receiving information through nurses. These were critical moments in treatment, and more personal communication would have made a significant difference. In three years at the clinic, I spoke directly with my doctor only about three times. Communication with billing added to our frustration. Bills often arrived with very little notice and no clear advance explanation of costs. At times, we were told treatment could be paused unless payment was made immediately, even while I was actively taking medication. The costs themselves were not the problem, but the billing approach felt stressful and sometimes inhumane. Most concerning was the lack of transparency. Certain “laboratory fees” were billed directly to us instead of insurance because, we were told, insurance would not cover them. Yet no one could clearly explain what those fees included. Requests for clarification or itemized charges received vague and sometimes dismissive or unprofessional responses. A fertility journey is deeply personal and emotional, and we had hoped for more supportive, coordinated, and professional care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Dr. Ahmed is kind and pleasant to speak with, but her character was not enough to outweigh the other unfair treatment we experienced at the clinic.

    RMI is absolutely the best choice for an assisted reproduction journey! A friend recommended Dr. T to me. She had been deeply disappointed by doctors who acted like gods, lacked compassion, and promoted procedures that did not work. She eventually had two children here and spoke very highly of the clinic. Dr. T was my primary doctor, although I also worked with two other doctors who were equally wonderful. The medical team is exceptional, from the nurses to the anesthesiologists. I felt gently cared for. Everyone was thoughtful and professional and used humor at the right times to keep things relaxed. Special thanks to Terry Ryan, an outstanding clinician who made me feel deeply comforted and cared for! Love may seem like an unusual word in a medical setting, but it perfectly describes the ease, affection, and care I felt here. The financial and front desk services were also excellent, which is rare. They were warm, courteous, and responsive. Dr. T is an expert in her field. She treats this work as a calling. The love she gives to eggs and her sincerity and care are rare qualities. I have heard women say egg retrieval was painful, with severe cramping afterward that required pain medication. I never experienced pain, only mild cramping, and never needed pain medication after the procedure. Others who worked with Dr. T told me she was highly skilled, and my experience confirmed it. I received attentive, thorough care throughout my time at RMI. I read reviews criticizing the clinic because doctors were late for telephone consultations, but I think that is unfair. Doctors must prioritize procedures, so consultations understandably come second. I also saw reviews claiming the clinic focuses too much on profit. My experience was the opposite: Dr. T gave me advice that offered no financial benefit to RMI. I highly recommend this clinic and feel very fortunate to have found them so quickly.

    I had an excellent experience at RMI and ultimately became pregnant. From Dr. Nayak and her outstanding nursing team to Lily, the lovely receptionist at the Oak Brook office, whom I especially want to thank, everyone made me feel cared for and safe. The nurses I worked with always answered my questions quickly and never made me feel embarrassed for asking. You can feel their empathy, and they understand the complicated emotions surrounding pregnancy. Finally, and perhaps most importantly for someone like me who has long struggled with body anxiety, no one at the clinic ever suggested that I lose weight or criticized my body. This also makes it a safe option for patients in larger bodies or those managing or recovering from an eating disorder. I highly recommend this clinic for its first-rate treatment and exceptionally kind staff.

    Communication is extremely poor. They rarely call and only send portal messages 20 minutes before the office closes, leaving no time to ask for more information. The portal also has no reply button. You must stay constantly alert to know what is happening. We often felt left in the dark. I did not receive medication instructions until the last minute, such as “Take this tonight!” Dr. Schwartz is very nice, but honestly, I have not spoken with her in over a month. Orders are often missed or placed late, even though timing is critical because women’s medication schedules depend on their cycles. Before our first cycle, my husband’s lab work was incomplete, yet no one on the team—doctor or nurse—noticed, and we received no notice about the missing test after his initial results arrived. I discussed these issues with nurse coordinator Ann, who also alerted the team that communication needed improvement. Unfortunately, their organizational structure has not improved. The patient experience is terrible. They use multiple payment platforms, each with its own problems, and the platform crashed more than once when I tried to pay. It is a complete mess. Choose another provider.

    Dr. Nayak and her team made my dream of building a family possible. Using birth control to align my IVF protocol/cycle with other patients/clients was detrimental to my results. Dr. Nayak recognized this and created a personalized protocol/schedule for my treatment. She helped me significantly improve my egg quality, resulting in multiple PGT-tested embryos. As a clinician educator at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Nayak stays current with the latest research and treatment options. When I became pregnant a second time, Dr. Nayak recommended an updated treatment based on the course of my first pregnancy and advances in IVF since then. My RMI team included a nurse practitioner who worked directly with Dr. Nayak and was always available to answer questions and discuss any concerns. This was a very helpful way to get more information, especially during a process in which you always want to know more! It also helped reduce stress throughout the process and during the inevitable waiting periods in fertility treatment. Having the right IVF care team meant so much to me, and I will always be grateful to Dr. Nayak and her team.

    Fertility challenges are difficult, but after 12 months of TTC, my OB’s referral to RMI was truly a 10/10 recommendation. From the first day through graduation, and even afterward, communication was always clear, prompt, and easy. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and Dr. Nayak’s entire team, especially Blanca, the nurses, and OB, made every appointment, ultrasound, and procedure comfortable. They were responsive and compassionate and always willing to explain things or reassure my husband and me. A special thank-you to the nurse who began every visit with a smile and a blood draw! We are deeply grateful to the RMI team and highly recommend them to anyone beginning a fertility journey.

    Dr. Nayak and her team were very supportive and strategic throughout the process. We completed two egg retrievals and one transfer through RMI so far, and my son is now one year old!     The best place where I have received treatment! I have undergone infertility treatment at different places for 8 years, but none was this professional. Everything was clear and to the point. I liked everything from start to finish. I like their approach. They have a website containing your full history and test results. If you do not want to call and the matter is not urgent, you can post questions in your account. Appointments are easy to make, and the reception staff are responsive. Another major benefit is that they write detailed prescriptions and create a daily schedule for you. You do not have to think about what to take or how to take it. Every day specifies what to do in the morning and afternoon and how to take everything. It is very helpful during treatment 🫶 They send educational courses and informative videos explaining your treatment, what you are currently experiencing, what it is for, and how to give yourself injections. I learned to inject myself, which I never thought I could do. Everyone is polite and helpful. I even had to call once at 4 a.m. when I had some bleeding. They responded immediately and gave me instructions. I love this place. Thank you 🙏

    After three failed IVF cycles, I changed doctors. Here is what the RMI team under Dr. Nayak did that helped me greatly: - They had me undergo additional testing to identify the real problem instead of merely saying, ‘It may be a sperm issue.’ They ruled everything out. It was frustrating, and I spent hours calling fertility care centers and pharmacies, but it was all worthwhile. - They used a more aggressive approach to stimulate more eggs and updated my medications more often, with more frequent appointments. - Dr. Nayak carefully reviewed my four-year medical history and developed a highly personalized treatment plan. Do not expect her to say many things like ‘I will pray for you,’ or to be overly warm with me. Although Dr. Nayak is very kind, I did not have much one-on-one interaction with her. This is a public post and it is still early, but we can say that Dr. Nayak’s treatment answered our prayers and changed our lives forever, giving us many hopeful options to continue growing our family.

    My experience at RMI was terrible. I spent 9 months there without an egg retrieval or intrauterine insemination—a complete waste of time. They did not tell me I had a cyst. Although cyst monitoring was covered by my insurance, they required me to pay out of pocket for the scan and then refused to refund me. For a year, I have been trying to recover the extra amount I paid. I repeatedly requested an itemized record of all my payments and the amounts reimbursed by insurance, but they always made excuses. It appears I will never receive my refund!

    Dr. Nayak is wonderful! Thanks to the excellent team at the Reproductive Medicine Institute, my wife is now five months pregnant. The nurses and all staff were kind, thoughtful, and supportive. Every nurse we met was gentle, patient, and highly skilled. The entire team helped us feel reassured and hopeful during this challenging journey. Our experience was excellent from start to finish. We are very grateful to be patients at this clinic. They are truly outstanding, and we highly recommend them to anyone struggling with infertility.     We’ve been trying to schedule an appointment with one of the doctors for weeks and completed the requested forms prior to scheduling. After weeks of silence, apparently the credit card authorization didn’t go through, instead of reaching back out to verify the information, we were told “i would of expected you sent over valid card information.” Why blame your patients and get defensive when we ask why no one just gave us a ring or even an email following up on the information? Mind you, we’ve already gone through one round of IVF with them a few years ago, and they have our embryos in their storage and tbh starting to feel like it’s being held hostage at this point. — Please make sure to do your due diligence with verifying your medication, dosage, and scheduling of it, as when I was previously a patient, the nurse assigned to me screwed it up multiple times and I had to request a new one. This is very concerning as it was during my egg growth phase and could have really jeopardized that round of IVF.

    I had an excellent experience with RMI and Dr. Nayak. The phlebotomists and ultrasound technicians, whom you see frequently during infertility treatment, were warm, friendly, and encouraging. The nurses responded promptly to all my questions. I underwent two intrauterine inseminations (IUIs), two egg retrievals, and a successful embryo transfer, ultimately becoming pregnant and delivering my daughter. Infertility treatment is very difficult, and RMI is a team you can trust to help you through the journey.

    IVF is an incredibly difficult process that is physically and emotionally demanding. The RMI team was not only knowledgeable, but offered a level of support and care I had never experienced at any other medical facility. Dr. Nayak and nurse Ellie were outstanding and clearly explained what to expect during each of my four cycles. They are not only leaders in their fields, but also caring people who listened patiently to every emotion during each consultation. My nurse, Chrissy, answered every question I asked by email or phone—and I had many. Even when I repeated questions just for reassurance, she responded immediately and took every “Is this normal?” concern seriously. Raven, who drew my blood, never left a bruise despite the many blood draws, and always found a way to make me laugh. Ultrasound technician Christine was both professional and kind. Last but certainly not least, Rachel at the front desk is an angel. Kindness and understanding are invaluable during IVF. She always greeted me with a smile, helped when I was late, and scheduled and changed appointments, always with a smile... I am now 9 weeks pregnant and have just graduated from RMI. They will always be such a wonderful part of this difficult journey, and I will be forever grateful!

    I had an excellent experience at this clinic and sincerely thank the entire team. Dr. Elena Trukhacheva guided me throughout, and I greatly appreciated her professionalism, attention to detail, and clear communication. I remained in regular contact with the nurses. They responded quickly, supported me, and patiently answered every question. Thanks to their attentive care and hard work, I am now pregnant and everything is progressing well.     Our first consultation with Dr. Elena T. was professional and gave us confidence to proceed. She clearly explained the process and noted that IVF does not guarantee success. We decided to begin treatment, but everything soon deteriorated. We were assigned two nurses, with all communication limited to an online platform. Reaching anyone by phone was nearly impossible because the line was always busy. IVF is already physically and emotionally exhausting, and the lack of direct communication made it worse. All medications and prescriptions were sent online with almost no explanation. No one explained their purpose or expected effects. At times I felt more like a test subject than a patient receiving proper medical care. During ovarian stimulation, we had blood tests and ultrasounds every two days, but no one explained the results. We received numbers without context. Patients should not be expected to interpret medical results themselves. On egg-retrieval day, another doctor performed the procedure. Although we were informed of the result beforehand, the experience still felt impersonal. More importantly, before the procedure we were never told how many follicles were developing or how many eggs were expected. After retrieval, we learned that only 2 eggs had been collected, with an AMH of 0.57. We waited hopefully for fertilization results, but unfortunately both failed. Most unacceptable was that no doctor contacted us to explain the outcome. We had to seek answers ourselves. Instead of support, we were told to book another appointment at additional cost. Follow-up after such a critical stage should be part of care, not another paid service. We specifically chose Dr. Elena T. to guide us through the process, yet even speaking with her required waiting another two weeks for an appointment. Given the high cost of IVF, this clinic's care, communication, and patient support fell far below expectations. If you value your time, money, and physical and emotional well-being, I strongly recommend another provider. This experience does not deserve even one star.

    I feel completely taken advantage of by this office. They prey on struggling, low-income women by claiming they accept your insurance — only to hit you later with a shocking $557 bill for what was barely a 5-minute consultation. When I first checked in, I asked the front desk secretary if they accepted my insurance and was told “yes.” Before the doctor even saw me, I confirmed again with the nurse, asking if my insurance was accepted — again, she said “yes.” I trusted them, and that was a huge mistake. Now, after being lied to twice, I’m being forced to pay out of pocket for an appointment that was misleading from the start. This place is dishonest and exploitative. Please don’t go here unless you want to be surprised with an outrageous bill for a few minutes of rushed care from Dr. Denise.

    Unfortunately, my experience was that her main goal was to win your business, even if that meant giving completely incorrect advice. At 39, I completed four rounds of egg freezing with her. She said using my frozen eggs would succeed and predicted two children. My online research said the opposite: the chance of two children was low, with no reason for confidence. I thought I should trust a doctor rather than the internet. That was a major mistake—the internet was right, and Dr. T was completely wrong. I ended with one blastocyst and no babies. Dr. T did not seem to think her very inaccurate prediction mattered, so she disappeared. I had to become extremely upset with a nurse before Dr. T met with me to discuss her incorrect prognosis. She claimed my outcome was unheard of. I told her that the first woman I found online who reported using frozen eggs had a similar outcome, as did others. She claimed this was untrue because her clinic did it routinely with egg donors and it worked. I still cannot believe Dr. T made such a negligently absurd argument. Egg donors are under 33 because egg quality declines after 33, rapidly after 37, and by 39 is far lower than in young donors. Using donor outcomes to argue that my eggs frozen at 39 should work was plainly negligent. I changed clinics because I no longer trusted her. No one at my new clinic was surprised. One doctor knew before I told her that my frozen eggs had not developed into blastocysts. My new clinic explained that age strongly affects egg response and that 39 is already late for egg freezing. During embryo genetic testing, they told me an embryo from age 39 had only a 30% chance of being normal. I did the math: considering the slower response of older frozen eggs, a 30% normal fertilization rate at 39, and a 50% implantation rate for a normal embryo, I would have needed over 120 eggs to obtain the two babies Dr. T confidently predicted from my original 22 eggs frozen at 39. The first thing I noticed after changing clinics was the much better service. At my new clinic, doctors gave me substantial attention, responded closely to all questions, and were always on time for appointments and procedures. Dr. T's appointments were routinely very late. She was even late for egg retrieval, where timing is essential for good results because ovulation can cause eggs to be lost. During my last retrieval, she was about an hour and a half late and retrieved only 6 eggs from the 13 follicles present before surgery. When I asked the nurse about the discrepancy, I received no logical explanation beyond the curt, unprofessional response, “That is just your situation.” My new clinic gave clearer, more professional explanations, so I understood what was happening. It also takes a miracle, or becoming extremely upset with a nurse about the lack of response, to get a call or reply from Dr. T. If you have a question after seeing her, good luck receiving an answer. Dr. T has the typical bedside manner and performance of a doctor from the former Communist bloc, and I do not recommend her to anyone.

    Dr. T and her team are wonderful. After finally following her advice, I welcomed my second child at 43. I only wish I had listened sooner. When I first met her, I was convinced she was stubborn and did not listen, so I tried naturally and then used IUI. She recommended going directly to IVF. When I finally chose IVF, I was fortunate to create 3 healthy embryos in my first round at 41. I recommend listening carefully and following her advice. I had more embryos, but genetic testing left 3. I hesitated because of the testing cost. Before this pregnancy, an IUI pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 6 months. She urged me to set cost aside and explained why testing was beneficial. Without her advice, my embryos might not have succeeded, or I could have faced another miscarriage, lost more time, and possibly lost my precious little one. I had many choices of doctors. I will always be grateful that I chose her and that she helped complete my family.
