Dr. Sara Rizk, United States
Dr. Sara Rizk is a board-certified OB/GYN with more than a decade of experience. She is passionate about patient education and shared decision-making between patients and their care providers. Dr. Rizk moved to the United States at age 17 to pursue her medical education and graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2009. She completed her residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, which she considers her hometown, followed by a one-year pelvic surgery fellowship at Emory University.
Recognizing the need for comprehensive women's health providers in the South, Dr. Rizk joined Emory University's OB/GYN faculty, where she spent nine years. During that time, she was actively involved in resident education and served as associate program director for three years. As part of her commitment to health education, she completed a fellowship with the Woodruff Health Educators Academy and received several teaching awards.
When life brought Dr. Rizk to Chicago, she joined Advocate Illinois Masonic Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she provided compassionate, empathetic care to a racially, socioeconomically, and gender-diverse patient population. During her brief time there, her peers named her one of Chicago's Top Doctors, as listed in the January 2024 issue of Chicago magazine. Her time in Atlanta and Albany Park further strengthened her commitment to addressing health disparities and inequities.
Kindbody's commitment to closing gaps in women's healthcare, particularly infertility and reproductive care, drew Dr. Rizk to fertility medicine. She joined the Kindbody team in October 2023 and has had the privilege of helping women conceive through IVF or preserve their fertility through egg freezing while they pursue other life goals before starting their families.
She is honored and proud to care for patients and their families as they work toward building the families of their dreams.
