Dr. Beverly Reed is dual board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and obstetrics and gynecology. An experienced physician, she uses a personalized team approach to help patients address infertility. She completed her residency as chief resident at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium and began practice as an obstetrics and gynecology specialist. She then completed a three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. A respected researcher, Dr. Reed has authored numerous publications, including journal articles and chapters in 2 textbooks, and frequently presents her research at conferences across the United States.
Dr. Reed is also volunteer faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She served as an associate editor of Human Reproduction and was named a top reviewer for ranking in the top 10% of reviewers. Her awards include honors for excellence in medical student education, academic excellence, teaching, research, laparoscopy, and case reporting. Peers have recognized her on the D Magazine Best Doctors, 360 West Top Doctors, and Super Doctors Rising Stars lists. Dr. Reed is the mother of 3 children, and her love for them inspires her commitment to helping others.
Dr. Reed has a special interest in helping patients whose previous treatments were unsuccessful and determining why prior IUI, IVF, or FET cycles did not work. She offers comprehensive reproductive immunology evaluation and treatment and expertise in diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis, PCOS, recurrent pregnancy loss, and fibroids. For IUI cycles, she offers specialized protocols, including estrogen priming and nontraditional adjunct medications. She provides mini-stimulation IVF, mild-stimulation IVF, and natural-cycle IVF, as well as specialized IVF techniques using Zymot and EmbryoGlue. She also specializes in recurrent implantation failure and evaluates common causes such as endometriosis with Receptiva testing, adenomyosis, chronic endometritis, and immune abnormalities. Through Pregmune, she offers reproductive immunology testing that assesses KIR A/KIR A, HLA antibodies, immune-cell abnormalities, and nutritional panels.
