Dr. Marie D. Werner is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and high-complexity clinical laboratory director. She completed her reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship through RMANJ’s Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson fellowship program, receiving training in clinical medicine, molecular genetics, and embryology. Dr. Werner completed her OB/GYN residency at NYU Langone Medical Center, where she served as administrative chief resident. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 2004 and her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in 2008.
Dr. Werner led two large randomized controlled trials examining the optimal media formulation for embryo culture and preimplantation genetic screening of embryos using next-generation sequencing. She remains active in research and is interested in embryo physiology, culture, and research methods for assessing reproductive potential before conception.
