Jason G. Bromer, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He has participated in leading research on fertility preservation for cancer patients, embryo implantation, and IVF embryo selection.

Jason G. Bromer, M.D., is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist. He earned his medical degree with honors from George Washington University School of Medicine and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and the Kane-King-Dodek Medical Honor Society. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Georgetown University, serving as administrative chief resident and receiving numerous research and teaching awards. He then completed a three-year reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he was an instructor at the medical school. After fellowship, he practiced for 2 years at the Reproductive Science Center of New Jersey before joining Shady Grove Fertility.

He has participated in leading research on fertility preservation for cancer patients, embryo implantation, and IVF embryo selection. His work has been presented nationally and internationally, and he has authored more than 40 research papers and book chapters.

Dr. Bromer is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and International Society for Fertility Preservation. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

    They emphatically claimed that my regular insurance would not cover anything. They insisted on using their insurance arrangement and made me pay more than 1000 dollars out of pocket for the procedure. Later, I received a letter from my insurance company saying it had covered the cost. Shady Grove had actually submitted a claim, so they were paid twice. When I called, they said it was too late to request the money and too late to submit a claim. I had to call my insurance company and have them speak with Shady Grove. After confirming that this was not the case, the insurer said Shady Grove was legally required to submit the claim. Shady Grove is truly unscrupulous.

    I wholeheartedly recommend Shady Grove Fertility in Frederick, Maryland, where the entire team of doctors, nurses, and staff is outstanding. From our first visit in 2023 to our final appointment a few days ago, we were always treated warmly and kindly and felt like valued members of a caring family. My husband and I began treatment there in 2023. Our first IVF cycle succeeded, and we joyfully welcomed our son in winter 2024. Nearly two years later, we are thrilled to expect our second child in May 2026, a testament to the exceptional care we received. Dr. Roth is an outstanding physician who inspires confidence and trust and explains every step clearly and compassionately. Nurse Holly was my nurse and always responded promptly and knowledgeably to my many questions and concerns. My husband and I will always be grateful to Shady Grove Fertility for helping us build our beautiful family. Their dedication, professionalism, and kindness made our dreams come true.     I cannot praise this clinic enough. Every team member is eager to help and takes time to listen. Dr. Bromer helped me become pregnant twice, and I trusted his expertise each time. When I graduated from the clinic, the staff gave me a card signed by everyone with my latest ultrasound photo.     All the team members here are so nice and helpful, but I especially want to thank Andrea because she is truly professional. IVF involves a lot of shots and pokes, and I went through two cycles — the second one was definitely more pleasant thanks to her. I used to have bad experiences with blood draws — bruising and long-lasting pain were normal for me. But ever since she has taken care of me, I realized that blood draws can be painless. I always asked for her by name at check-in, and she helped me with such kindness. I love her so much! She truly brought a smile to my face every time.

    Shady Grove Fertility helped me become a mother, and I will be forever grateful! I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and became pregnant after my third intrauterine insemination (IUI). My daughter was born a week ago; she is perfect and means everything to us. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally supportive, knowledgeable, and empathetic.     I would give them zero stars if I could because their customer service is appalling. For months, I have been charged for a service that was never provided, and no one answers the phone or responds to email. The front desk staff know nothing. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. Calls go unanswered, messages are not returned, and portal emails receive no response. When you finally reach a person, they have no idea what you are talking about.

    I cannot say enough good things about Shady Grove in Frederick. I have received care here since March 2025, and the women on the team have given me tremendous emotional and medical support. Nearly a year later, I am about to graduate from the program and am 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I could not be happier. The journey was not always easy, but I am so grateful for the support and professional guidance of these exceptional women!

    Michelle was amazing! My wife has very difficult veins and usually requires several attempts, but Michelle succeeded on the first try—calm, confident, and highly skilled. Even better, she generously shared her technique with us. My wife later told another nurse at the Rockville location, and it worked again! That alone says a great deal about Michelle’s expertise. She made a normally stressful needle stick incredibly easy. We are very grateful and highly recommend her.

    The staff at the Frederick Shady Grove Fertility office are very kind and made me feel supported. The clinic is always clean, organized, and runs smoothly. The sonographer is friendly and knowledgeable and patiently answered all my questions about imaging results and pregnancy. I am sad that I will not see her after transferring to my regular OB-GYN. I have received fertility treatment at Shady Grove Fertility twice and have only gratitude and positive experiences from their professional care.

    This has been one of the most difficult experiences I have ever had. Problems have continued since we began working with this company. I first contacted the Hagerstown office, which is only a satellite office and currently performs no procedures. The doctor was kind and made us feel confident about treatment. My first clinic visit was in Frederick. I am grateful to nurse practitioner Milka and my initial contact Julie. Both were wonderful, kind, helpful, and thoughtful. After initial treatment, we were excited to begin IVF injections and egg retrieval. Yet after nearly six months, they told me my BMI was too high for sedation and had to be below 40. My weight had not changed since we started, so I do not understand why they waited so long to tell me. They then promoted a new GLP-1 program. I understood the medication was not covered, but they waited until one minute before my appointment to say the GLP-1 nurse consultation was also not covered and that all visits, follow-ups, and medication would be self-pay. I canceled. For a year I have dealt with incorrect billing. I repeatedly contacted SGF and my insurer, but SGF's claims team seems unable to process claims correctly. My insurer ultimately submitted multiple duplicate claims while SGF kept calling them pending. I sent SGF my EOB several times. It is now March 25, 2026, and I still do not have a final resolution for services received on March 17. They appear unable to bill correctly. At Rockville they also overcharged me nearly $600 for a procedure and took more than three months to refund it, leaving me unable to trust their billing. They ruined our care experience and created obstacles throughout. We will never return, and anyone using insurance should consider other options. This is awful. After my husband's cancer chemotherapy, we simply wanted to have a child.

    Words cannot describe our terrible experience with this company. The doctors and nurses were excellent, patient, and informative, and the clinical staff cared very well for my wife. Everything else about the company felt like a blatant attempt to extract every dollar from us and our insurer. Be extremely cautious with the front desk and management. For a procedure in Rockville, we were told we had to pay more than $1,200 upfront without being told it was only an estimate or that we could pay later. We were forced to prepay and told this was after our out-of-pocket responsibility, but the actual charge was less than half the estimate. We discovered this only because our HRA denied reimbursement due to SGF's incorrect billing, which I no longer believe was accidental. It took more than three months to resolve the first issue and recover our money because they billed both our insurer and us for the same service. For the past year we have also disputed every other claim, with no resolution. They use different codes each time, leaving us dependent on the insurer's EOB. They repeatedly submitted the same claim, producing five pages of duplicates when they last demanded payment. We were quoted one amount by phone, billed another, and then emailed a third amount higher than either. They offer additional consultations about GLP-1 medication and genetic testing but never disclose that these specialist consultations cost hundreds of dollars and are entirely outside insurance. Fortunately, we canceled one before being charged again. It is unacceptable that a company with either such poor bookkeeping or deliberate overbilling can continue operating. Research alternatives before using them, though I know options are limited. After cancer forced me to undergo chemotherapy, we simply wanted a child.

    We had an amazing experience at SGF Frederick! Dr. Bromer took time to discuss every option in detail. He explained that several treatment plans were available but believed the one we ultimately selected could help us become pregnant as quickly as possible. Sure enough, our first cycle of medication and intrauterine insemination (IUI) resulted in a twin pregnancy! When we received the news, everyone at the clinic was very kind, supportive, and caring. From the nurses and physician assistants to the office staff, everyone cheered us on. (I wish I could remember every name!) They even affectionately called me “scarf girl” because I always wore my warm scarf to appointments during the cold winter! Our family is now complete with our wonderful twins, and life is beautiful. We thank Dr. Bromer and the SGF team for helping us have a safe, healthy pregnancy.

    This clinic has truly touched me. At every visit, the entire team is enthusiastic, positive, warm, and friendly. For more than a year, Toni has been extremely patient and thoughtful, providing tremendous support through everything I have experienced. She always listens and offers sincere, considerate advice. Dr. Broomer is equally compassionate—he listens to my concerns, understands my circumstances, and always tries to make the choice he believes is best for me. Before surgery, he personally called to wish me luck; even when there was difficult news, he made sure to contact me promptly. That level of care deeply moved me and brought me to tears several times. Milka is energetic and positive and always explains everything in clear, simple language. Michelle and the entire blood-draw team are also wonderful—always optimistic, supportive, and understanding. This clinic genuinely cares about its patients, and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

    I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences with Shady Grove Fertility. From the very beginning, everyone was very helpful, kind, caring and willing to help my wife and I achieve our dreams of one day having a baby. Jamie Dean, our nurse who has worked with us and been by our side since 2021 was and is the absolute BEST! She was always so kind and nurturing throughout our process, even when we walked away sad. We continued to try and became pregnant in 2026 using IVF for the very first time and it was a success. I gave birth to my beautiful and healthy baby boy a few days ago at the age of 40. The entire team at SGF between various locations have been amazing and I just thank you all for helping to make our dreams come true!

    Beginning our fertility journey was a little frightening for my wife and me. From the day we met Dr. Bromer through our first embryo transfer, our nurse Jamie was an exceptionally resourceful and supportive nurse.     I know this is a satellite office where Dr. Bromer and the care coordinators provide consultations, but it is wonderful to have a quiet, small office for meetings with the care team. It truly feels more personal. It is also a great meeting location when we need a different commuting option. I appreciate the clinic providing more choices.

My weight had not changed since we started, so I do not understand why it took so long for them to tell me. They then promoted a new GLP-1 program. I understood that the medication was not covered by insurance, but they did not tell me until one minute before the appointment that the GLP-1 nurse consultation was also not covered and that all visits, follow-ups, and medication would be self-pay.     I met Dr. Bear at the office today. She was absolutely incredible. She broke everything down in a way anyone could understand. Every woman I met in the office was wonderful. They are LGBTQ-friendly. I am in a lesbian relationship, and they treated us like human beings. Honestly, I could not have asked for a better experience!

    They asked us to pay for the shared-risk program, which I thought covered everything. But my appointment was scheduled, and I was charged 1000 dollars without any advance payment information. The front desk was also rude.

    They made me go to Maryland for testing. The call center told me they do not perform male semen analysis and reproductive testing in the office, so I had to go to Maryland. I do think this should change, and I hope male and female reproductive health screening becomes more open and accessible, especially for people who cannot travel. People who cannot travel should be allowed to travel for work or medical care/health. A person's right to drive and travel should not be taken away except for murder or serious charges. I will make sure my great state of Pennsylvania respects this. The governor's and boards' guidance and projections for Harrisburg and elsewhere make this a great state. Amen.

    I highly recommend Shady Grove Fertility in Wexford to anyone considering treatment. Whether you only need monitoring, a medicated cycle, or any of the treatments they offer, you will be in good hands. As someone who experienced multiple miscarriages, seeking help was very intimidating at first. Dr. Nguyen, and especially the nurses and staff at Shady Grove Wexford, guided us step by step. Whenever a question or concern arose, their consistent and prompt communication through the portal greatly helped ease our emotions. We love all the staff, and everyone was very friendly at every visit. If you are reading this and nervous about medication or any treatment, I was there too. We postponed treatment for quite some time while staying in close contact with the care team, and when we finally decided to begin monitoring and medication, they were there to help us through it. It was worth every penny! Without hesitation, we give SGF Wexford 5 stars!

    After years of trying, multiple failed pregnancies, and several emergency surgeries, Shady Grove finally helped my wife and me conceive our first child. I will always be grateful for that. Every appointment at the clinic was excellent. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My wife and I are very happy that we received care at this clinic. I can honestly say that Shady Grove made the entire IVF process a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I will always recommend this clinic to anyone who needs its services.     Thanks to Shady Grove and all its wonderful staff, we were able to have the family of our dreams. We used their shared-risk program, which gave us peace of mind during an unpredictable treatment process. In healthcare, it is rare to have an assigned nurse whom you can message and receive a prompt reply from. Dana performed most of my ultrasounds, and I cannot say enough good things about her.

    I have been with Shady Grove since September 2024. My medical team has consistently provided a five-star experience. Working with my financial counselor, however, has always filled me with dread. The financial counselors need training in manners and professional ethics. They provide incorrect estimates, make billing errors, call to ask me for money on the day of my miscarriage, act rudely when my husband and I request itemized receipts, and much more!!! We are living through another person’s nightmare and spending more than $50,000 on treatment, so receiving no compassion or care is extremely upsetting.

    We went to Shady Grove Fertility Wexford for our IVF journey! The Wexford staff and office were always so welcoming and caring! Every morning monitoring appointment I was remembered by front desk staff and greeted by name. Demi made bloodwork painless and such a breeze and was so sweet! Dana and Susan were thorough, patient, and caring for each monitoring and procedure appointment. When we got pregnant with our baby girl after our successful FET, I could feel how truly happy the staff was for me and it was a bittersweet moment to graduate! I am forever thankful to the Wexford team for helping to make my dream of being a mom come true!

    I loved my experience at SGF! They were welcoming and helped ease my anxiety about my previous miscarriage. They go to great lengths for their patients. No one should have to experience infertility while dreaming of expanding their family, but SGF truly eased the pain.     I am a gestational carrier who has had two pregnancies and will begin a mock cycle in a few days. Today I called the clinic to schedule outside monitoring. They took my information and said their outside monitoring team would contact me to arrange an appointment. I then received a call from my original fertility clinic saying that Shady Grove had refused to work with an independent gestational carrier who was not represented by an agency!

    I accompanied a friend to SGF for a procedure and truly appreciate the team's professional and thoughtful care! The warm welcome from the front desk helped her relax. The medical assistants she had been looking forward to seeing also made her laugh. Susan, the clinic manager, even came over to check on her and ask whether she needed anything else.     There are not enough words to express my gratitude to the SGF Wexford team. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is spectacular. The ultrasound techs, nurses, receptionists, phlebotomists, everyone. I transferred to SGF after 6 months at a different REI and it was the best decision I ever made. I love the fact that at Shady Grove you are assigned to 1 nurse, 1 doctor, and 1 financial coordinator -- this made it feel like a personalized team of experts that were not only IVF experts, but experts on my specific file and scenario!

Dr. Bromer is kind, approachable, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. He is also honest and direct, always communicating in the most respectful way. I was already in my forties when I first saw him. Unlike many doctors who immediately discourage women my age, he never made me feel hopeless. He was honest about my chances of success but never negative or dismissive. He genuinely believed I deserved a chance—and he was right. Whenever I had a problem or needed reassurance, he was always available. That meant so much during such a difficult medical journey.     Dr. Bromer is simply the best. He is caring, talented, dedicated, and genuinely invested in his patients. I highly recommend him! Without question, he is the best doctor I have ever met, with a gift for kindness, empathy, and compassion. I cannot say enough about him. Our pregnancy was a miracle, but we faced many challenges. Dr. Bromer made me feel that I had a chance and was honest and direct about the path we should take. We now have a beautiful, amazing miracle baby, and we could not have done it without him.
