Dr. Nola Herlihy is a board-certified OB-GYN and reproductive endocrinologist. Born and raised in a small town outside Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Herlihy made the adventurous decision to attend high school abroad at The American School in Switzerland. Learning and growing alongside peers from more than 50 countries gave her a broad multicultural perspective from an early age.

Dr. Herlihy earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame, where she spent four enjoyable years cheering for Fighting Irish football. Beneath the Golden Dome, she met her husband, Derry, a Houston native. After moving to Manhattan and earning her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, she realized that reproductive endocrinology brought together the fields she cared about most. She explains, “I enjoy active days performing surgery and seeing patients. I am fascinated by reproductive science and evolving technologies that allow me to help my patients become pregnant.” Dr. Herlihy completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Herlihy completed her fellowship at RMA New Jersey and is pleased to work with the RMA network to raise the standard of reproductive care in Houston. “When patients come to us for treatment, they place tremendous trust in us and rely on us to care safely for their eggs, sperm, and embryos,” Dr. Herlihy says. “During my fellowship, I spent extensive time in the laboratory and saw firsthand how much care and work go into creating a healthy embryo.”

Dr. Herlihy was drawn to RMA because of its focus on meaningful clinical research. “We continue to raise the standards for success,” Dr. Herlihy says. “We study technologies that may improve pregnancy outcomes and then put them into practice.”

Dr. Herlihy recognizes and respects the full range of emotions patients experience during fertility treatment. She prioritizes making each patient feel that they are part of a team. “At your first appointment, we meet and get to know one another. I will listen to your story and develop a plan tailored to you,” Dr. Herlihy says.

Outside the office, Dr. Herlihy enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young children. They enjoy travel, weekend barbecues, and sports. “Honestly, in my free time, I am either on the floor playing with my children or picking up their toys. Someday I will have hobbies of my own,” Dr. Herlihy says with a laugh.

    Words cannot express how grateful I am to the RMA Houston team or how fortunate we feel to have had them involved in our treatment. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for several years without success. My OB-GYN referred us to RMA, and the outcome was excellent. We chose Dr. Herlihy, and I liked her from our first appointment. She explained the entire process in great detail and guided us through different treatment options based on test results. This gave me confidence that regardless of certain results, if plan A was not ideal, we would move to plan B or develop plan C. I completely trusted Dr. Herlihy and her team, and now our greatest dream is about to come true. I underwent IUI and am now 20 weeks pregnant, expecting a baby boy. Thank you to Dr. Herlihy and the entire team for their expertise, care, and attention. I recommend RMA Houston to anyone experiencing fertility problems. I assure you that you will leave the clinic informed and with an action plan. If I could, I would give them countless stars. P.S. The clinic is beautiful, and every staff member is very attentive.     From the moment I entered this clinic, I knew I had come to the right place. Every staff member was wonderful. Everyone greeted me warmly, and every doctor, nurse, phlebotomist, and front desk employee knew my name, which meant a great deal to me. This personal care is essential during such a heartbreaking journey. The doctors were highly knowledgeable and compassionate. I always felt I was receiving trustworthy care. They took time to explain every step of the process and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. Dr. Herlihy managed my entire treatment, and I was also pleased to meet Dr. Juneau once or twice. Both doctors were very kind!! Dr. Herlihy has a mother's warmth, which is especially valuable during IVF. Communication and scheduling were excellent. I could always obtain morning appointments, which was very helpful for my work schedule. Whenever I left a message for my care team, through either the portal or by phone, I received a response within an hour. I never had to worry about completing laboratory tests or ultrasounds on time. Everything was smooth, efficient, and very well coordinated. The clinic itself feels like home: warm, comfortable, and peaceful. Few medical facilities make you feel at ease from the moment you enter, but this clinic truly created that environment. I could not be more grateful to this team. If you are looking for a place where you will be cared for as a whole person rather than just a patient, look no further. I am very grateful that we will welcome our IVF baby at the end of the year.     I am extremely grateful to RMA. After consulting two other fertility clinics, I knew RMA was the right choice.     Everyone at RMA is wonderful, especially Dr. Herlihy—I cannot praise her enough! From my first consultation through multiple confirmation ultrasounds for my baby girl, I felt comfortable and at home. They always took time to discuss results, next steps, or simply reassure me about my worries. They did everything possible to avoid wasting time and accommodate my busy schedule.     I definitely recommend this clinic. My first intrauterine insemination (IUI) went smoothly, and my nurse Elena was wonderful!     Today, I have tears in my eyes but immense joy in my heart, and I thank God for guiding me to the right path. RMA Houston is the best fertility clinic, a clinic that creates miracles. Words cannot express my gratitude. My doctors, Herlihy Nola and Juneau, along with Fatima, Karina, Eleini, Roxana, and Esmeralda, form an amazing team.     I was very excited to give this place a shot after reading all the great reviews, unfortunately I haven't received any care. I've spent the last few days trying to get an appointment even drove to the place and no one was able to help. I finally spoke to someone today over the phone and after asking a question I was answered with a rude tone and the girl hung up the phone there was no follow up call which makes me believe she truly did not want to help me. Wish I had a different experience.

    I highly recommend Dr. Herlihy, Dr. Juno, and the RMA Houston team. Without question, they are the finest doctors and medical team I have encountered. When I first learned I was infertile, I visited several other well-known fertility clinics in Houston. Although they had good reputations, something always felt missing. Choosing RMA completely changed our fertility journey and was one of the best decisions we have made. From the first visit, the difference was clear. Staff greeted me by name, sincerely celebrated every step forward, and continually reminded me that they were there to support me. I always felt empowered and involved in every decision, making an overwhelming process feel manageable and hopeful. Dr. Herlihy and Dr. Juno are both outstanding physicians.     Infertility is a difficult road, and RMA is exactly who you want beside you. I struggled for years and sought care at a highly regarded Houston clinic, which I will not name. There, care felt impersonal, and in interactions and treatment I felt like just another patient. I spent tens of thousands of dollars without success. I then chose RMA and am so glad I did. They are outstanding, warm, and caring. The receptionist even remembered my name, which is rare at a clinic. More importantly, their doctors are excellent. My doctor, Dr. Juneau, is an angel. After one IVF cycle, we had many healthy embryos and conceived our daughter, now 9 months old. During the process, Dr. Juneau also found an unrelated health issue that could have become life-threatening if untreated and might otherwise have remained undetected for decades. RMA understands how long and difficult infertility can be. They support you in every way and do all they can to help you succeed. I am so glad I found them. They gave me the world’s most precious gift: my daughter.

    I am sitting beside my precious daughter, who is now 4 weeks old! I sincerely thank RMA. Dr. Herlihy and all the nurses and embryologists changed our lives. In December 2024, while in my 30s and after about 18 months of trying naturally, I found RMA. They quickly arranged testing, including bloodwork, HSG, ultrasound, and genetic testing, and we decided on one IVF cycle. At age 35, my AMH was 1.36, with an antral follicle count of only 4 on the left and 2 on the right, plus a blocked left fallopian tube. I nearly always ovulated on the left, where the egg could not pass. I had my first egg retrieval in May 2025 and my only embryo transfer to date on July 7, 2025, leading to our beautiful daughter! I am very grateful for Dr. Herlihy’s knowledge and expertise. She communicated clearly, set realistic expectations, and thoroughly explained medications and monitoring. She did not offer false hope. We were fortunate: only one egg was retrieved and one embryo transferred, and we are profoundly grateful. We will return next year to transfer another embryo.

    I had an excellent experience at this fertility clinic and felt fully supported at every step. The entire team was professional, communicative, thorough, and responsive. Every question was answered quickly, usually the same day, which made me feel very reassured throughout the process. The clinic is very clean, organized, and efficient, with minimal wait times. The front desk staff was always courteous and welcoming. Communication was consistently clear, so I always knew what to expect next. Special thanks to Eleni for providing a comprehensive and thoughtful initial consultation. She immediately put me at ease and made me feel that everything was under control.     Doctors are caring and highly educated, the little time that you get with them before they are rushed to the next appt. Not one time did I leave an appt confident in what the next step was nor what the entire journey would look like. The front and back end process of each appointment was led by under trained individuals that seem disconnected leading to very poor follow ups, skipped steps, wrong billing, billing issues, long waiting room wait times, off putting front desk comments, terrible app experience, and 3/4 weeks to transfer records- overall leaving the patient to be their own advocate. I didn’t feel like a patient, just herded along.

    我对通过RMA预约监测的经历极其失望。 我目前正在纽约一家诊所接受生育治疗，暂时住在休斯顿。我的医生开了验血和超声波检查单，并指示我周六进行监测以确认排卵。鉴于生育治疗的时效性，我周四致电RMA询问他们是否可以安排预约。客服人员记录了我的所有信息，详细询问了我的情况，并告诉我临床团队会审核我的申请并尽快回复。但我始终没有接到电话。 当我自行联系RMA时，接电话的客服人员态度冷淡，告知我RMA不提供周六预约服务。我感到失望的不仅是这个答复，还有整个流程。如果周六预约根本不可能，为什么还要收集我的所有信息？为什么还要告诉我临床团队会审核我的病例并跟进？我本应得到及时的答复，却白白浪费了宝贵的时间等待一个永远不会到来的电话，最终不得不自己去追问。 最令人惊讶的是，这竟然是一家生育诊所。生育治疗应遵循生物节律，而非工作时间。排卵、验血和监测并非周一至周五就能完成。拒绝提供周六监测，甚至事先没有明确告知这一限制，都会给本已情绪紧张且时间紧迫的患者带来不必要的压力。患者理应获得清晰的沟通、及时的随访，以及对生育治疗紧迫性的充分理解。

    Dr. Herlihy is a truly remarkable physician! I cannot say enough positive things about her and the staff at RMA Houston. I also cannot thank each of them enough for the time, care, and support they gave my husband and me in helping us build our family. Infertility can sometimes be a very dark and isolating process, but their team never lets you feel alone. They supported and encouraged me throughout and were invested in my success. They truly were a ray of light during a dark time. Dr. Herlihy genuinely cares about you as a patient and wants to do everything possible to help you build your family successfully. She is intelligent, positive, honest, helpful, and unhurried, and she never makes you feel like just another patient. She genuinely cares about you and your success. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Herlihy; she deserves only the highest recommendation. I will always be grateful to her and her team for all their support during my IVF journey and for the wonderful future we now have with a baby on the way!

    I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Herlihy. She is compassionate, gentle, thoughtful, and clear, and she helped me navigate a treatment process that had made me anxious.     Dr. Nora Herlihy and her staff are the best. Everyone is so friendly. Throughout my care, Dr. Herlihy was empathetic, attentive, patient, kind, and transparent. Truly amazing!
