Dr. Suny Caminero joins the team at Brown Fertility with a wealth of medical experience and passion for women’s health. She is native of New York City born to Dominican parents who moved the family to the Dominican Republic where she spent most of her childhood. Being fluent in both written and spoken Spanish, she is able to connect and serve a diverse patient population, ensuring that everyone receives personalized care and understanding.

 

Her medical career began as a student at the University of Connecticut, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Pre-Medicine. After graduation, she worked as an Intensive Care Nurse in Connecticut, Georgia and Michigan before starting Medical School at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2005. Dr. Caminero embarked on her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. During her residency, she displayed exceptional dedication and clinical acumen, which earned her the position of Chief Resident. Throughout her time at the University of Florida, Dr. Caminero received numerous teaching awards, showcasing her commitment to educating and empowering the next generation of medical professionals.

 

In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Caminero has actively contributed to the field of women’s health through her research endeavors. She has authored several research papers, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements and providing evidence-based care to her patients.

 

Outside of her career, Dr. Caminero finds immense joy from her three beautiful children who always keep her busy. Her favorite pastime is experiencing the world. Traveling to learn new cultures, trying new foods, visiting new sites. Dr. Caminero is excited to bring her experience to Brown Fertility and is committed to helping individuals and couples achieve their dreams of parenthood.

I had been a patient at Brown Fertility since October 2022, and my final appointment was April 16, 2024. The clinical staff genuinely care about their patients, but I am not sure Dr. Brown and his financial managers do. Because paperwork submitted to my insurer in June 2023 was incorrect, my claim was denied while I was in the middle of a cycle. I had already been a patient for eight months, receiving regular treatment and following their policies. When the initial claim was denied, I was told I would be removed from the cycle unless I immediately paid the $8,000 balance. I begged for two weeks to appeal to insurance, but they refused and gave me five days. I paid $8K, and insurance approved the claim a week later. I then began requesting a refund. Brown Fertility refused, saying they had to wait until all insurance claims were paid before starting the process. We kept returning after several failed transfers. A transfer finally succeeded in March 2024, and we conceived twins—the only reason they received 2 stars instead of 1. After my final appointment on April 17, 2024, I called to ask when the refund process could begin. They again said after all insurance claims were paid. The remaining procedure charges were under $200, while they owed me more than $6,500. On May 1, 2024, I was told all claims had been paid and they would process the refund, although their policy allows 90–120 business days. I called again in June after hearing nothing and asked to speak with a manager to expedite it. They said absolutely no one would call. I called again in July and was told the previous manager no longer worked there, but they assured me the refund would begin immediately and I would receive a check by August 20. When nothing arrived on the 20th, I called again and was told there was no record of my July call and the refund had not begun. Three months after all claims were paid in full, it still had not started. I was then told my refund would be completed in mid-September once the doctor signed the check and that another manager would call me. That was yesterday, and still nothing. I would not recommend Brown Fertility to anyone. Although they often get results, they create more stress and heartache than a fertility clinic should. I also had appointments changed, moved, or not put on the calendar at all. You are just a number, moved in and out like cattle. Unless you have the first appointment of the day, be prepared to wait, and hope you do not have a noon appointment or you may wait hours past the scheduled time. You must pay in full before being placed on their calendar, and then you have to fight to get your money back. Good luck to anyone who goes there.

Do not waste your time! I arrived 15 minutes early for a consultation with Dr. Caminero, prepaid $150, and waited nearly an hour past my appointment time. The doctor never appeared. Before this appointment, I visited two other doctors' offices to prepare paper records and arranged childcare so I could attend. Their disregard for patients' time is infuriating and unacceptable. I am still waiting for my refund. Also, the Tallahassee location is inside another gynecologist's office at TMH/the hospital and is not clearly marked as Brown Fertility—there is no sign at all. It is confusing, hard to find, and you must pay for parking. I will return to FIRM and Dr. Winslow. They are organized, helpful, and respectful of patients. I only wanted another perspective based on my primary care doctor's recommendation, but I regret even seeking a second opinion from this office. Update: After 10 days, I still had not received my $150 consultation refund. I called again, and their billing team said it had never been processed. This place is an absolute mess.

I am still waiting for the required lab orders so I can be added to the September transfer list. There have been repeated delays and no real answers. Dr. Shah told me in July that everything could be completed by the end of August for a September transfer, but now I have been told it may not happen until October. All documents are signed and I have done everything I can, yet I am still waiting. This could have been finished in mid-July, but billing caused another problem. I was told they would run my insurance and someone would contact me to schedule. Days later, my insurance still had not been processed, so I paid $150 out of pocket. Progyny found that I should not have paid for services covered by my plan, which they would have known if they had processed the insurance promptly. Worse, I am now delayed because the nurse who conducted my FET teaching is very busy with retrievals this week, so I may have to wait until October to transfer. If insurance is the issue, I can pay out of pocket and submit it myself. The required testing/genetic testing for my spouse and me relates to embryos already created, but no new orders have been made. That is fine; I can complete it as soon as the orders arrive. Now I am waiting for a return call, and I have already waited a long time. Update 8/8: No return call, but the issue is mostly resolved for now, so one is no longer needed. Update 8/9: Things are finally moving. I may be able to complete everything this week, including labs and arranging to move my embryos, although the transfer between facilities will happen next week. The ball is now in my court. Thankfully, the kind people at the embryo storage company are working to get my embryos where they need to go so I can transfer in September—they are putting my babies with the courier :). The lab company said they can come to draw my blood and couriered the kit as well. I appreciate these companies' support and hope Brown Fertility will cooperate once everything is completed on time. No more delays and no more excuses.

IVF is stressful, but Dr. Brown and his staff are wonderful and work to make the process as simple as possible. Dr. Brown is very busy, but he makes time to meet patients who want to see him personally. The nurses and ARNPs are also excellent and always available to answer my questions. IVF can be emotionally exhausting, but it is reassuring to have a supportive medical team like Dr. Brown and his staff guiding you through the process. After multiple miscarriages, Dr. Brown helped me create the little miracle I am holding while updating this review.

I am 36 and struggled with infertility for three years. Brown identified the problem and gave us the best next steps. We conceived after our third IUI and expect our miracle in less than five months.

I am disappointed with this place. I visited once, and they said my insurance did not apply. I paid $150 for the appointment. I made no other appointment or arrangement, yet since that day they have emailed saying I owe a bill. The bill is unbelievable because I signed no contract and scheduled no further visit.

I am tired of this clinic. I had an embryo transfer in July, and it failed. I have one embryo left that needed to be biopsied immediately after the fresh transfer failed. Nearly two months later, the PGT laboratory still has not received the sample. Once they learned I would not complete my next IVF cycle with them, they treated me as though they did not care. I will not contact you again. If you want to keep my frozen embryo and not do what you should, fine. I will find another clinic willing to help.

I met Dr. Brown at age 39, and within months of my first IVF transfer, I was pregnant. Based on my health and data, he believed I would conceive, and he was right! In June 2023, we welcomed a healthy baby boy. I had a normal pregnancy without delivery complications. Soon afterward, we returned to discuss a second child. He again believed our chances were excellent, so we had an FET, and I am currently pregnant with a healthy baby at age 41! For our first child, I completed the entire process in Jacksonville. It was straightforward, and the doctors and nurses treated me like a queen. The second time, I lived out of state, making things more complicated, but the nurses were absolutely wonderful. They ensured I had every medication, order, date, fax number, and more. They promptly answered my countless emails and never seemed annoyed by my questions. My husband and I recommend Brown Fertility Center to anyone considering a fertility clinic. We are deeply grateful for their hard work and miracles!

I would not recommend Brown Fertility to anyone with a pulse. If I had to describe this place in one word, it would be sketchy. I do not know how they operate. I would not trust this place with medical care and am glad we ultimately did not pursue IVF with them. Fortunately, they made too many mistakes before we began a cycle. For example, emailed questions received incomplete answers. When I called to schedule a saline ultrasound, I had to call for five or six consecutive days and was repeatedly told our “doctor was out of town and would return tomorrow.” They promised to call back but never did, so I had to take time away from work daily to follow up. Several expired licenses/certificates were posted on the wall, including at least one from the health department. When I pointed this out, a staff member said they had never posted the new ones. One day, my husband and I both left work early and drove across town for a confirmed appointment, only to be told there was no appointment and they could not fit us in. When we finally met the doctor and raised our concerns again, she looked at my husband in military uniform and said, “We trust you understand that mistakes happen all the time in the military.” What? After that visit, we left for another local clinic, the best decision we made. When I requested my records from Brown, I emailed and called repeatedly with no response and threatened to report them to Health and Human Services for violating HIPAA, which requires facilities to provide records within 30 days. I filed a complaint after not receiving them within 30 days. When I told Brown, I almost immediately received an email with my records and an apology. Reviewing them, I found my saline ultrasound report was signed by a provider I had never met rather than the person who performed it. Today, nearly a year after leaving Brown, we received notice that our personal information there had been exposed in a data breach. Imagine that! Unfortunately for Brown, the letter reminded me that I had forgotten to leave this review. I know three others who started at Brown and had similarly negative experiences. Things felt wrong from the beginning. I expect communication, timeliness, and professionalism from any healthcare provider. IVF is difficult enough, and Brown only makes it more stressful. Do not go here! I would give negative 5 stars if possible.

These people are scammers. They canceled my appointment and then refused to refund me. After fighting with them, they finally agreed to refund me after 4 months. When they eventually sent the check, it was for half the amount. I am suing them. Never use this place.

Thanks to Brown Fertility, we brought home a baby girl this week after trying to conceive for 8 years. For years, I opposed IVF because I feared the emotional and financial strain. I thought the chance of success was low and did not want to go through it. I eventually met a fertility specialist, Dr. Brown, who was very optimistic about our chances with IVF. At first, I wondered whether he was overly optimistic, but I decided to trust him and try. I am grateful I did! As Dr. Brown predicted, I became pregnant after our first embryo transfer. IVF is difficult, and communication during the process could honestly have been better, but I am still very glad we chose Brown Fertility Center. Thank you so much to Dr. Brown, Kevin the embryologist, Dr. Caminero, Chelsea the IVF coordinator, and all the nurses who helped us along the way!

If you have diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) or premature ovarian failure (POF), do not go to this clinic. Dr. Cabrera was appalling and actually laughed at me when I wanted to try using my own eggs. He told me I had a zero chance of success and that donor eggs were the only option. Guess what? At 39, I became pregnant with my own eggs thanks to the excellent Reproductive Science Center in Marlton, New Jersey. Do not go to this clinic! Do not see Dr. Cabrera! He should not be practicing medicine. He is one of the coldest, most ignorant people I have ever met. He should be ashamed of how he treats people at their most vulnerable.

After 12 unsuccessful cycles trying to conceive our first child, I contacted Brown Fertility. From the first phone call, I felt supported and cared for. Every step, from the initial information appointment through all the testing, the consultation with Dr. Brown, and planning our first IUI, was handled with exceptional care. Fertility challenges are extremely sensitive and emotional, and everyone I interacted with here understood that. Hearing "This is not your fault," along with clear, fact-based explanations, was incredibly reassuring and empowering. I am very nervous about anything medical, especially new procedures. From bloodwork to the HSG, every nurse went above and beyond to comfort and reassure me. I never felt rushed; quite the opposite. I spent about an hour in the office at every appointment, had every question answered in detail, and left with a clear plan. The team's consistent follow-up ensured that I felt confident and comfortable about each next step, which meant so much to me. Although I cannot yet predict the outcome, I am very pleased with my experience so far. If you are considering fertility care, I sincerely recommend Brown Fertility and Dr. Brown. They have filled this challenging journey with hope and support.

His consultation was a masterful blend of extensive knowledge and empathy. This is more than a clinic offering IVF monitoring and fertility treatment; it is a center where reproductive medicine is practiced with uncompromising rigor, intellectual generosity, and profound humanity. They redefined my expectations of what true healthcare can and should be.

Well, this was our first visit, and they did not tell my wife that her insurance would not cover anything, so they wanted me to pay the full amount upfront. After we drove three hours, some advance notice would have been appreciated.

This one-star rating is solely for their billing department. I was fortunate to conceive naturally before starting extensive treatment. I told the staff in February that I had conceived naturally, and they said processing would take 4-6 weeks. I followed up in April/May and was told my account had not yet been processed but they were working on it. It is now June, and I still have not received my refund. Now they tell me I must wait for the June refund board before they can update me. I do not understand what that has to do with me. The contract I signed says 4-6 weeks. When it was time for me to pay, I paid promptly. Now I feel as though I am being punished for conceiving naturally.

Stay away! This place feels like a scam and resembles a car dealership for health and conception. I booked ahead and paid $65. Afterward, an employee called and read a sales script listing tests they wanted, continuing even after I expressed discomfort. Two months later, I received another $170 bill, although the website listed a $150 self-pay visit. They billed insurance $300, of which less than half was covered. Billing then claimed self-pay was $175 while the website still said $150. Search their reviews on fertility websites; I wish I had. The stories are frightening. This clinic should be ashamed and exemplifies our healthcare crisis. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

My fiancé and I had been trying to conceive for four years. After countless heartbreaks and attempts, we decided to try IVF this year. We are so grateful we did because we are finally expecting our miracle baby! I had my first IVF cycle on June 24 and am now 12 weeks pregnant. Words cannot describe our joy, all thanks to Dr. Brown and his entire staff! Kristin helped me through all my procedures, and I especially want to thank her. She was so kind and genuine and truly wonderful to have throughout the process. I would recommend this clinic to everyone!

I waited two months for a telehealth appointment with Dr. Brown, but more than an hour after the scheduled time, the call still had not started. I called the clinic, and they asked when I would begin. I told them to cancel it because we would go somewhere that respected my time. They then said I would owe a cancellation fee, which is absurd. If I were an hour late, the doctor would not see me, but the doctor can be as late as they want. Customer service does not exist here.

My gynecologist initially referred me to Dr. Brown for a myomectomy. Dr. Brown was very kind. He answered all my questions, made me feel welcome, and provided first-rate care. My only dissatisfaction was with the front desk and other staff. You must advocate for yourself, or you may not get scheduled and could end up paying much more out of pocket, even with good insurance. I was initially told my insurance would not cover the surgery and that I had to pay out of pocket. After contacting my insurer, I learned that it was covered. During my first few appointments, no one seemed able to schedule me by phone. I repeatedly called scheduling and was always told, ‘Unfortunately, I cannot help, but I will email another member of my team.’ After considerable back-and-forth, I was finally scheduled. Several times, it seemed they did not know I was coming or did not have me on the schedule, and I had to show them an email on my phone confirming that I had an appointment that day. Overall, the facility is fine, but I must emphasize again that you need to advocate for yourself. Otherwise, you may not get appointments and could pay far more out of pocket than necessary.

The doctors are very irresponsible. My bloodwork showed an abnormal thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) level, but no one mentioned it. A year later, after I moved to Dallas, a doctor reviewed my previous records and was shocked that no doctor at Brown Fertility had ever raised the issue. The front desk is very disorganized. They chat while checking patients in and entered someone's information incorrectly. Why did four people need to work together to correct one person's information? Check-in alone took 15 minutes. I have now waited an hour and still have not been called. I will not trust an organization this inefficient again.

I would recommend Brown Fertility to anyone struggling to conceive on their own. Every man and woman faces different fertility obstacles. In my experience, our goals and how to achieve them were clear from the beginning. The staff was wonderful. I especially want to thank Teena Pasion and Jennie Waldrep! Ms. Teena, your care, attention, and warmth truly changed my entire view of Brown Fertility. I may have been just another hopeful woman walking into the clinic, but our candid conversations about this journey and life deeply moved me! Jennie, during my FET, you always replied promptly to my emails and answered the 101 questions I asked. I am sure you receive countless emails and silly questions every hour, and I know I had some silly ones, but you were always practical and never made me feel like a bother. Thank you! Dr. Brown and his entire clinic team are excellent, and I would definitely choose them again. At my first visit, Dr. Brown carefully reviewed genetic testing from years earlier, when its link to infertility was unclear, and noted that I needed an additional medication to prevent neural-tube defects. He believed the findings could be significant and prescribed the highest IVF medication dose to offset their effects. We achieved a rare 100% egg-to-embryo conversion rate, although I had very few eggs remaining at age 30. Their embryologist is among the best in the world. Our first fresh embryo transfer resulted in our baby boy. He is now 6 months old, and we are scheduling another visit to transfer our remaining frozen embryos. Everyone, from reception to nurses and nurse practitioners, was excellent. They reassured me, helped me understand conception, and answered every question with exceptional expertise. All glory to God; we praise Him for bringing Dr. Brown to Jacksonville.

If you enjoy last-minute appointment cancellations or changes, this is the place for you! Communication is also nonexistent. They were an hour late, and no one answered the phone—not a manager or anyone connected with your doctor!!!

I decided to transfer clinics, but Brown Fertility still has not refunded an overpayment from earlier visits, which I discovered myself. Obtaining my medical records was a nightmare. I would not recommend this clinic because of its lack of professionalism and the feeling that I was only a number. Update: During testing, the front desk told us an unnecessary self-pay genetic screen would cost $350, but we have now received a bill for over $2300. They also said my insurance covered my costs, yet I received the same bill. This is a scam.

I love Brown Fertility. Our first treatment there succeeded, and we now have a healthy, beautiful daughter. They took excellent care of us and answered every question and concern thoroughly and honestly, making us feel safe and comfortable. We therefore decided to return for a second treatment.

I had an exceptional experience before Ivey and after IBS. I have 10-year-old twin boys from my first pregnancy and a 5-year-old daughter. The staff treats you like family, supporting and guiding you through every step. A fertility journey can be frightening, but with them you do not feel afraid. Dr. Brown was my doctor at every visit, and all the doctors, nurses, and even front-desk staff were wonderful. I strongly recommend Brown Fertility, whether or not you are Christian. They treat you like family and hold your hand through the journey, so you never feel alone, discouraged, or defeated. They are a blessing.

Dr. Brown is simply a scammer. We paid nearly $3,000 for IUI and were told the fee included three attempts. The first failed, and when my wife called to schedule the second, they said we needed to pay another $1,750. My wife was furious. I essentially spent more than $5,000 trying to conceive and got nothing but bills. Find another doctor—Brown Fertility is definitely not a good choice.

Edited to add (2025): Overall, two years later I can confirm we’ve still had a great experience with Brown fertility. They are a big operation, so it can take a minute to get through but they do care. From the nurses to the doctors, other providers, receptionists and billing, folks are kind and want to guide you along. We had a successful egg retrieval and a successful embryo transfer (currently an active, healthy adorable 1.5 yo). We’ve since gone back to try treatments again and faced some challenges. We made an appointment with Dr. Brown (switched from Dr. Duffy who is phenomenal as well due to location) to check in and he took his time to answer all questions carefully as we head into this next round. I’m confident in our choice with them and feel very lucky to be patients here. Original Post (2023): We've been working with the clinic for about 2 months for reciprocal IVF and we've had a really nice experience thus far. It's been pretty easy to get things scheduled. Whenever we've had an issue or questions, they have been incredibly responsive to calls for information or scheduling. The office staff are all very compassionate from medical to admin to finance. The pricing is pretty transparent and reasonable. Our provider is Dr. Duffy but it does seem like you may see different folks if that fits your schedule best. We have only had great interactions with folks thus far, especially Dr. Duffy, Tallymarie, and Nashari from the Tampa office. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fertility clinic.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. All the nurses discussed what we might try next time even though the current cycle was not over. Worse, they owe me a refund and now say I must wait 60 to 180 business days to receive it. This clinic only makes a difficult situation worse. I strongly advise everyone to stay away.

I had a wonderful experience at Brown Fertility and am truly grateful. A little about my situation: I have lean PCOS and irregular ovulation, so becoming pregnant was not easy. I first tried two IUIs, which were unsuccessful, though I understood that IUI success rates are limited. A few months later, I prepared to try IVF and met Dr. Brown. Based on my history and age, he told me he believed I could become pregnant. He was sincere, not trying to persuade me, and that was very reassuring. From the first visit, I felt cared for and supported. He even gave me his phone number so I could contact him with questions, which meant a great deal. Soon afterward, I began my IVF cycle. At every ultrasound and appointment, I felt valued and cared for. The entire team was kind and efficient, and I never had trouble scheduling appointments or receiving the help I needed. My first fresh cycle was successful, and today I am pregnant with my first baby 🤍 I especially want to thank Kristin Giudice, who performed my egg retrieval and transfer. She was very gentle and compassionate and made me feel completely at ease. She could not attend my first ultrasound in person, but still made time to join us by video call and share that moment. I will never forget it. She truly made this experience special. Honestly, I feel spoiled because I have now transferred to my OB-GYN and hope to receive the same high-quality care wherever I go. I had a very poor experience with Brown Fertility, and I believe others should know about it. There were many hidden fees. The doctor did not seem to care about me. After each cycle, I had to wait a month to see the doctor, who was more than an hour late to every appointment. At several critical points in my IVF cycle, the doctor was unavailable and no substitute physician was assigned. This meant I could not obtain medical guidance when important decisions were needed about continuing the cycle. The staff could not provide that guidance, and I ultimately had to cancel the cycle. Our IVF nurse made many mistakes involving medication, testing, and other matters. The financial handling afterward was also deeply concerning. I signed a fee schedule exceeding $16000. After canceling the cycle, I received written confirmation listing the specific cancellation charges and expected refund. When the check arrived, however, it was short by several thousand dollars. Despite repeated follow-up over several months, I never received a clear explanation or resolution. I also found an error in my records stating that the cycle had been canceled because of a spontaneous pregnancy. This was untrue and very upsetting to see. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to resolve these matters directly with the clinic, I filed formal complaints and initiated court proceedings. This experience caused tremendous emotional and financial stress. I hope the clinic improves physician coverage, communication, and consistency in its financial processes so other patients do not have similar experiences.

I appreciate hearing good news about new mothers, but my wife and I had a very different experience. Dr. Brown did not seem to genuinely care about us from beginning to end. He was 40 minutes late and did not communicate with us or try to identify the cause and possible options. Instead, he rushed through the visit in 5 minutes and said that if we paid, he was certain treatment would work. My results, as the male partner, were unclear. He said, “I’ve never seen this before, but I’m not concerned. The problem is clearly with my wife. Just pay, and the problem will be solved.” I had never felt like a transaction with a doctor until meeting Dr. Brown. Congratulations to the woman in the other review, but our experience was entirely different. Dr. Brown, please treat people as patients, not transactions. You were a great disappointment. I do not usually write reviews, but this is important, and I believe others should hear our experience. Never be afraid to seek a second opinion!

This clinic's finance department is appalling. Do not spend your money here. Find a more transparent and honest provider and entrust your hard-earned money to a more reputable clinic. There are several fertility clinics nearby. It has been 9 months since my last procedure, and this clinic still has not refunded my out-of-pocket payment even though my insurance covered most of the cost. They finally responded only after I repeatedly requested an itemized bill, and even then the response was vague. I believe this clinic is a complete scam that exploits women who desperately want children and will pay any price. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone.

They sent me for laboratory tests, which I completed in November 2025, but it is now April 2026 and they have never contacted me. Apart from Hannah Hart, there is not a single competent person in the entire office. The phone is always unanswered—no callbacks, no answers, and if answered, they hang up immediately. About two and a half years ago, they had me undergo genetic testing and then sent the lab results to a medical facility outside my insurance network. I was charged $1,500, and they did not inform me in advance which facility the lab order was sent to, nor that it was out of my insurance network. After that, I stopped treatment and decided not to use Brown Clinic’s services anymore. Six months ago, my OB-GYN gave my husband a referral for a free semen analysis, and we decided to give them another chance. They called multiple times to schedule it, and we complied, but then a family emergency came up, so we canceled, telling them we would call back to reschedule. When we called again, the person in charge of appointments argued that we didn’t have a referral, even though they had been calling us to push for the appointment. After we explained for 20 minutes, she finally arranged it. We woke up early that morning to go to the appointment, but they scheduled us for an initial consultation instead. Despite having the referral and all the documents ready, they argued again about the referral. In the end, they simply dismissed us, saying he could go ahead with the lab test, but we would have to handle the costs ourselves. The whole process was so stressful that my husband couldn’t even provide a sample. We went to schedule another appointment, and again they were unaware of the referral. We argued about it until Hannah stepped in to help, and only then did they catch on. Even so, they were still confused. He finally had the lab test done on the scheduled day. A few days later, we asked again, and they said the results weren’t ready yet, that it would take 10–14 days after the initial consultation. So I called my OB-GYN to reschedule my follow-up appointment, which required my husband’s lab results. After another three and a half weeks with no word, I called again, and they said the results had been processed on the very day he went for the follow-up. A waste of my time—the results were there all along, yet they rescheduled the appointment for no reason. No one called to inform me. No one knows what’s going on. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this clinic. I’ve encountered nothing but problems.

Be aware that they will force you to pay out of pocket at your first appointment whether or not you have insurance. We were told by phone that because they did not have physical copies of my insurance card and driver's license, they could not bill my insurance. I asked to speak with the office manager because no one had told me this. After 45 minutes on hold, they disconnected me. I called back and was placed on hold for another 20 minutes. During that time, they said their cancellation policy would apply and I would have to pay a fee. Needless to say, I will not pay it or return. The first appointment costs $150, after which they say they will ‘bill’ insurance, but the appointment is never submitted as a claim. Terrible service. Stay away.

The staff are pleasant, but the clinic lacks pricing transparency. My consultation lasted less than 15 minutes, and I did not sign HIPAA or financial responsibility forms. Although the doctor was friendly, pricing was not discussed and was instead deferred to a financial coordinator, who has not contacted me since the appointment. Based on thorough research and intuition, I decided not to continue with this clinic. Anyone considering Brown should be cautious about having blood drawn in the office. They send samples to Natera, a laboratory that faced a 2021 lawsuit over fraudulent billing practices and has faced several other lawsuits with similar allegations. After contacting Natera, I learned the out-of-pocket cost for the initial Brown test was $349, contrary to the advertised price of $249 confirmed by other patients in online forums. In short, Brown discloses the actual cost only after providing services, excluding the $150 consultation fee.

This location and the Baymeadows location may have given us the worst experience we have ever had with a medical office. The doctors are excellent, but the problems begin when you must deal with other staff. They schedule an appointment, make you wait hours beyond the scheduled time, and then unapologetically give medical advice that completely contradicts the previous visit without adequately explaining why. They then fail to call in time-sensitive medication and are entirely unwilling to help when you explain the problem. Fertility issues are already heartbreaking, so you would expect a fertility clinic to be helpful, kind, and professional. Brown Fertility is none of these. Instead, it makes an already stressful process even worse.

One of the worst medical experiences of our lives. All the other reviews about the clinic are accurate: they pass you among “consultants” and waste your time and money. Dr. Brown's arrogance overshadows everything! From our first call, we asked the clinic one question: “Would they freeze our unfertilized eggs rather than embryos and proceed from there?” This was the only approach we wanted, and we were very clear from the beginning. It is also a simple, fair, and common question in this field, and we felt we should know the answer before deciding whether to work with them. Under Dr. Brown's process, however, you must complete extensive lab work, sign documents, have a financial consultation, and who knows what else before getting an answer. We completed our “tasks” and finally met Dr. Brown. We asked our question and explained how important it was to us. Instead of answering, he challenged our beliefs and views about life, religion, and God. We clearly were not seeking spiritual advice, so we again explained how we wanted to proceed, stating that it arose from our beliefs about the sanctity of life and our faith. We simply asked whether he could or would accommodate us. He again attacked our beliefs, insulted and disrespected us, and spoke condescendingly, while still avoiding a clear yes or no. Because I have an inherited condition—note that it is minor, very common, and has no impact on daily life—Dr. Brown gave us an “ultimatum” that he would help us only if he could “discard” every embryo that inherited my genetic sequence. He stated that there was no value in bringing a sick life into the world. Should that not be the parents' decision? They are the ones who live with the consequences of their decision. What kind of Nazi Germany does Dr. Brown imagine he is living in? My husband had had enough and asked Brown whether he was “implying that my wife's life has no value because of her genetic condition?” We clearly said we would not work with him and left. As he shouted after us, he said he would not accept us as IVF clients anyway and “would not even perform IUI for you.” You may have very different beliefs about this issue, and I am not here to change them. I am here to let people know that anyone seeking fertility treatment deserves better care than what Brown, in his infinite wisdom, provides. Any couple struggling deserves better than an arrogant “avoid litigation at all costs” approach. In our experience, Brown has abandoned his Hippocratic oath and feels obligated to help nothing but his wallet. We genuinely want to warn anyone considering Brown Fertility. This is not a place that tries to help or show compassion to people already facing a difficult situation.

They promise results by noon – but on the most critical day, when my fertility levels would determine next steps, I had to call repeatedly throughout the day. No one called me back. No one met their own deadline. Hours of silence when every hour mattered. Two days later, when my results were inconclusive, I returned for another test on Friday. Again, I called over and over for updates. And this time? The staff simply went home for the weekend without ever giving me my results. Let that sink in: after a year of procedures, medications, emotional toll, and enormous financial cost, the clinic’s staff literally walked out the door and left me in limbo—no answers, no compassion, no professionalism. This is not just an inconvenience. It’s cruelty. It’s negligence. It is a fundamental betrayal of trust at the most vulnerable moment in a patient’s life. How can a fertility clinic, of all places, justify disappearing when patients are waiting on life-altering results? If you value accountability, compassion, or even basic professionalism, do not put your future in the hands of this clinic. Main issues: 1. Lack of clinical tact. I underwent an HSG. As soon as it was completed, while I was still lying there, I was told my tubes were blocked and IVF was my only option. The news was delivered in one quick, casual sentence, as though the doctor were giving a weather update. He saw my confusion and eventually realized he needed to slow down and explain from the beginning. On my way out, he gave me a document about the diagnosis and said I would receive a call to schedule laparoscopy. Neither he nor his staff ever followed up. Zero empathy. 2. Poor customer service. I felt like just another number. I could not work directly with the front desk and had to call the corporate line. Half the time, my requests were not addressed, so I had to call again. 3. Medical records. To receive records, you must complete a form and email it back, which is fair. But I did not receive a response until more than 30 days after my request. I received the doctor's note but not the X-ray images. I explained that a specialist needed them before removing my tubes. Emails went unanswered. I called more than ten times and was repeatedly told they had left a note for a supervisor and I would receive the images that evening. This continued for months. Last week, after more than four months, I finally received one X-ray image by email. I am very grateful that I sought a second opinion from Shady Grove Fertility. The contrast in care was striking, and I easily decided to transfer there before continuing IVF.

I had high expectations when I first visited this fertility clinic, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. Fertility is highly sensitive and requires care, understanding, and clear communication, all of which I felt were lacking. They do not take time to sit with you and explain things clearly. I often left more confused than when I arrived. Empathy and proper communication are essential when dealing with something as emotional and complex as fertility, but they did not seem to be priorities here. Although the staff were polite, the overall experience left me unsupported and uncertain about the next steps. I hope they improve their approach to patient care and communication.

Over the course of several months, we went through three IUI attempts—unfortunately, all unsuccessful. It was during this emotional rollercoaster that Jimeylie gently introduced the idea of IVF to us. At first, I was hesitant and unsure, but we decided to schedule an appointment with her to learn more. From the moment we sat down with Jimeylie, everything changed. She walked us through the entire IVF process with incredible clarity, compassion, and attention to every detail. There are too many problems with Brown Fertility. First, a doctor speaks with you and seems to create a good plan—three intrauterine insemination (IUI) trials. Then they lost my wife's and my blood samples four times through Quest. They also never told us that, given her age and bloodwork, IUI had only a 2-4% chance of resulting in pregnancy. We never saw the doctor again; only nurses performed ultrasounds, without even explaining the results. It felt like a money-making factory: perform three IUI cycles, and if they do not work, collect money for in vitro fertilization (IVF). No thanks. We stopped after two cycles, and my wife never wanted to return. We live near Brown Fertility in WG, but they never had availability, so we had to go to the Orlando clinic at 7 a.m. Why open a local clinic at all? We are now trying Shady Grove Fertility, and from the first appointment we learned the entire process, the available treatments, their differences, and success rates—information we had never been given before. Brown fertility has shown great compassion throughout my experience. I'm still pending results so I'm leaving this review regardless of the outcome. Heather has been my navigator through the majority of this process and at this point I consider her a friend. When I came in for the transfer I hugged her so hard, I thought I broke her in half! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone! All of the staff members, I literally mean every single one of them, has been respectful, polite, kind and caring throughout this entire process. I would give this company zero stars if I could. First, the nurses and Dr. Christie are wonderful. They are kind and lovely; on a five-star scale, I would give them ten. The other doctors are terrible. I completed 5 IUIs and 2 embryo transfers here, all unsuccessful. That is not necessarily their fault, but my only diagnosis is PCOS. The doctors do not remember you. My last appointment with my assigned doctor was terrible, even though we had seen him for a year. He entered the room and asked whether we had met before. He was not joking. A year earlier, during my IVF intake, this doctor told me to discuss stopping antidepressants with my primary care doctor, then added, “I hope you don't jump off a bridge.” That comment was completely unnecessary. You can never reach a nurse by phone, and they do not call back. They communicate poorly about prices and paperwork. Office waits can exceed an hour, as can telephone waits. If I can offer any advice, choose another company and spare yourself the pain and stress.

They did poor work, charged an enormous $5,000 bill for simple laboratory orders, and blamed me. When I asked questions, the doctor told me not to ask and simply trust the process. The nursing care was terrible. I had my egg retrieval nine days ago. Throughout the process, they said everything was going well and looked great. Yesterday, I discovered that another doctor, not my doctor, prescribed my medication. My doctor had no idea what was happening. Another doctor also performed the retrieval, and I never even saw his face because he did not come in before the procedure. I spent all my money on medication and clinic fees. They retrieved only 3 eggs, although they said there were 11. So far, no one has told me what happened during the procedure. I requested my medical records, including the ultrasound results, but they still have not sent the ultrasound results. The nurses went on vacation in the middle of my cycle without even informing me. If they do not act, I will hire a lawyer.

I am an uninsured teacher paying out of pocket. I have paid Brown Fertility over $1000 without ever seeing a doctor. My boyfriend and I had a consultation, bloodwork, and genetic testing. They told me the genetic testing was free… all lies. Only after testing did I learn we each owed another $350, plus $150 each for bloodwork and $300 for the initial video consultation, which was not even with the doctor. They clearly try every way possible to extract money from self-pay patients until we give up completely. I feel terrible for women with fertility issues who go to a place like this—it left me emotionally devastated and financially strained, with no hope of pregnancy… and that $1000 did not include any medication. It was only for consultations, without a single word from a doctor. Thank you, Brown Fertility, for doing nothing. Do not go to this clinic.

This organization is terrible. You authorize them to complete appointment details and forms, but they repeatedly enter them incorrectly. Before the appointment, they send an online form you cannot access because your name is wrong, so you cannot even review the contract. After about ten emails and calls, they finally correct the information. You then decide not to accept the contract or use their services, but they send a letter saying you must pay because you canceled too late. Train your staff to respect clients and enter information correctly so people can review details and contract terms before deciding whether to use your services. I would never recommend this disgusting organization.

My husband and I had a deeply disappointing and stressful experience with Dr. Cabrera and the Brown Fertility team at the Winter Garden office. During the initial consultation, Dr. Cabrera's manner was discouraging. I understand that at 39 my chances of natural conception are lower, but he presented the information very negatively. My husband felt his approach resembled a sales pitch rather than professional medical guidance, but because we desperately wanted a family, we continued. Soon afterward, my husband went to the clinic for a deposit appointment and found a reality show filming people in the waiting room without permission. After he raised the issue, he was told a manager would speak with him. Twenty minutes later, the manager apologized and promised the service would be free because of the incident. Despite that promise, we were billed. My husband called three times and spoke with both the billing manager and Dr. Samuel Brown. Each time they promised to remove the charge, yet bills kept coming. Six months later, we received a collection notice for a service they had explicitly promised would be free because of their error. Infertility treatment is already emotionally stressful, and this made it worse. We ultimately transferred to another fertility clinic and conceived naturally before Brown Fertility offered any follow-up or resolution. They took no responsibility for the unauthorized filming, kept none of their promises, and did not address the stress caused during an already vulnerable time. Please choose another clinic.

Avoid Brown Fertility if you do not want the anxiety and stress of frequent staff mistakes, bills far above estimates, an aggressive billing department that blocks appointments and medication until every balance is paid, practices that appear unsanitary, and doctors who do not remember you and rudely rush every visit. The only benefit was becoming pregnant with one of the two embryos they transferred, an outcome I believe I could have achieved elsewhere without these problems. *I had already created embryos elsewhere; they only agreed to perform a frozen embryo transfer (FET). I then waited nearly a year amid repeated problems. Billing charged twice the estimate because they thought I needed surgery, then blocked further treatment or appointments until I prepaid everything, with no payment plan. When I prepared to pay, they first disclosed an additional cycle fee that also had to be paid before another appointment or medication, after I had already paid an anesthesiologist fee that insurance did not cover. At a postoperative visit, the same doctor asked, “Did I perform your surgery?” and asked questions that should have been in my chart. ReproTech later said Brown had made an error in the embryo-shipping documents. On transfer day, the doctor was visibly irritable with staff. The embryologist read the embryo's name incorrectly and had to verify that it was mine while the doctor grew annoyed by the delay. The post-transfer document describing the embryo and grade was also wrong. Insurance later said Brown had overcharged beyond the contracted amount. We learned they often billed us before insurance processed claims. I had to mediate among staff, billing, insurance, and storage while my doctor repeatedly seemed to forget me and rushed care, all during the stress of infertility and time pressure to have a child. I also had serious hygiene concerns. A condom was always left on the transvaginal ultrasound probe in the dim examination room, exposed to the air, and other rooms were the same. I saw a technician remove one after my examination, quickly wipe the probe, and apply a new one for the next patient. Every other clinic I visited had a disinfection machine in the room. I do not trust a simple wipe or leaving a condom exposed to air, breathing, coughing, or talking. The lack of a medical plastic cover may also make some patients uncomfortable. Overall, I am glad to be pregnant, but I wish I had chosen differently. I have already selected another clinic for my next frozen embryo transfer (FET).

After three years of treatment and four failed IVF cycles, I feel compelled to speak about serious issues at this fertility clinic that urgently need management's attention. Despite repeated failures, my doctor did not proactively recommend additional testing or any meaningful adjustment to my treatment plan. Instead, the same process was repeated without explanation. After each failure, there was no automatic follow-up call to discuss alternatives, reassess the plan, or have an honest conversation about whether treatment should continue. The clinic's default response seemed to be: proceed to the next cycle and keep paying. If you want to understand why a cycle failed or what else can be done, you must pay $175 for a follow-up visit—and even then, the visit feels rushed and depends heavily on whether the patient asks the right questions. Only after multiple failures and repeated pleas to “look deeper” did my doctor finally recommend further testing, which led to an endometrial biopsy and polyp removal. This raises a deeply troubling question: why was this not investigated sooner? Throughout treatment, I was repeatedly told that my lab results and ultrasounds were “excellent” and that my “reproductive organs were perfect.” Yet when more thorough testing was finally done, problems were found. Being told everything looked perfect while treatment failed again and again was not reassuring; it was misleading. The lack of empathy, rushed appointments, and cold, transactional approach are impossible to ignore. Patients are treated like numbers and dollar signs rather than people experiencing infertility, grief, and hope. Over the years, I invested trust, time, emotion, and tens of thousands of dollars, only to end up physically and emotionally exhausted, still without answers and financially strained. Fertility care requires curiosity, compassion, and accountability—not a one-size-fits-all process and pay-per-visit model. I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously, because no patient should have to struggle this hard to receive thoughtful, individualized care.

Years ago, after struggling to conceive my first child, I sought help from Brown Fertility. After several attempts and our first intrauterine insemination (IUI), I became pregnant with my lovely daughter Haila, who is now almost 10. That experience alone earned my lifelong gratitude. While building our family, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During that extremely difficult time, my doctors advised me to return to Brown Fertility to freeze embryos because I was getting older and the future was uncertain. At age 40, the team retrieved 15 eggs, 12 of which developed into embryos—a remarkable result that gave me great hope during my darkest period. Two and a half years later, we transferred two embryos through in vitro fertilization (IVF). One implanted, and I now have my second lovely daughter, Maria. Brown Fertility gave me two miracles. Throughout my journey—from infertility and cancer treatment to embryo freezing and IVF—every step was handled with professionalism, expertise, compassion, and attentive care. I highly recommend them. They truly changed my life.

I would not choose this clinic. They require genetic testing ($700) before any fertility treatment, which is ridiculous. I would understand testing for IVF or a problem such as recurrent miscarriage, but I felt they were more interested in making money than helping me. I previously received fertility treatment in another state and conceived my first child because I was not ovulating, and the care felt like a five-star hotel. This clinic was completely different. The clinic staff were pleasant, but when scheduling I selected Winter Garden because it was near my home. When I arrived in Winter Garden, guess what? They had scheduled me in Orlando. Fortunately, I could have a telehealth appointment. Overall, it was nothing like I expected. If not for the genetic testing requirement, I might still have chosen this clinic. Genetic testing should be optional, not mandatory. Most people either pay for fertility treatment themselves or have insurance that does not cover it. This requirement only adds to the burden.

The absolute worst fertility clinic in Tampa. If you have diminished ovarian reserve, do not come here. The level of severity in which they pushed donor eggs was extremely uncomfortable. I told Dr. Cabrera at least 10 times I was not interested in donor eggs and he ignored me. The very next day I got a call from someone at Brown Fertility wanting to discuss donor eggs and my method of payment for donor eggs. I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here unless you plan on receiving sub-par care and spending A LOT of money. They need to stop being predatory and pushing donor eggs on patients that DO NOT WANT them.

The operations manager at the Tampa location is even worse. Staff say she treats employees like garbage, lies to patients, and likes discussing her personal life while seeing patients. I have been a patient of Dr. Duffy for about 3 years, and this woman seems unable to retain a team. She had excellent staff in 2022, but when I returned this January, almost none of the longtime employees were still there. I wonder why. I would feel terrible if she treated me the way she treats her team. It is very disrespectful to have someone like this in a practice that should be welcoming.

My overall experience was mostly ‘okay,’ and the staff were genuinely kind and courteous. However, I have several concerns. First, driving there felt like a waste of time because they did not really understand why I had been referred. Second, they do not accept my BayCare Cigna insurance. Third, after you are called back, they have you complete genetic testing before you learn that you must pay for it. I usually read reviews before important visits like this. Of course, there are good and bad reviews, but one stood out: the reviewer said they make sure to collect something from you. That is absolutely true, so be aware. My provider specifically referred me for the location's ‘free new-patient consultation,’ yet I still had to pay for something I knew nothing about until after the appointment.

In 2024, we saw two other fertility doctors we were unhappy with before finding Dr. Duffy and scheduling a consultation. Dr. Duffy is easy to talk to, very thorough, and compassionate. He explained his thoughts in detail based on fertility testing from other clinics and our potential treatment options. He was not pushy at all and, unlike the two doctors we had seen before, did not present laparoscopic surgery and IVF as the only option. Dr. Duffy asked me to complete an HSG and a day-21 test. The HSG was a breeze and was done in a private room, making it much less stressful than the test I previously had at another clinic. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. Their NP Lindsay is wonderful—very friendly, compassionate, and understanding—and makes sure all your questions are answered. We did not end up completing fertility treatment with Dr. Duffy because we conceived naturally. If we need to explore fertility treatment in the future, I would 100% seek care from Dr. Duffy. I recommend him as a provider!

WARNING—PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Updated: I am deeply disappointed and feel compelled to share our experience with Brown Fertility. My wife and I first consulted Dr. Duffy in August 2023, hoping to build our family through IVF using her eggs. Dr. Duffy agreed to work toward that goal. Before treatment, the office required $19,960 in advance for estimated costs. After payment, initial laboratory testing was completed. Results in October 2023 showed that my wife was no longer producing viable eggs. Her AMH and FSH levels indicated that the planned treatment could not proceed. Brown Fertility then recommended donor eggs, which was outside our original plan. We explained that using my wife’s eggs and having a genetically related child was important to us and that donor eggs were financially unaffordable. We did not learn our planned option was impossible until after full payment and testing. We requested a refund in December 2023 but received no response, then emailed for confirmation and an explanation. On May 1, 2024, Brown Fertility’s corporate office said the clinic would keep 30% and claimed stopping treatment was our choice. We were deeply disappointed because our original plan had never been viable, which we learned only after prepayment. We do not blame Dr. Duffy, who does not make business decisions, but believe Brown Fertility and financial manager Edwin Salinas lacked transparency and empathy during a vulnerable time. After we shared our experience, Brown Fertility agreed on May 19, 2024, to issue a full refund. We appreciate that, although obtaining it required months of emotional and financial stress. We share our story to help others make informed decisions. Transparency and communication are essential in such a personal journey.

Honestly, I am unhappy. The staff collected all my information, and I had detailed conversations about what I wanted. I paid $150 to speak with the physician specialist, but he had an emergency and no one told me beforehand. I do not mean to disparage the nurse practitioner, but I did not pay to speak with her. I had disclosed my age and demographics and said I wanted information about PRP. Staff told me there was no age limit, but the nurse practitioner said today that patients must be 49 or younger. The age requirement should be stated on TikTok and all social media. The knowledgeable-sounding front desk told me there was no limit, yet the nurse practitioner made me waste $150. The office could have called to say the doctor was unavailable, rescheduled, or refunded me. I am 52, and she said performing PRP at 52 was unacceptable. I believe it was unethical to charge $150 for a nurse-practitioner visit when I expected the physician, without rescheduling or telling me I was ineligible. I would never have paid $150 to speak with a nurse practitioner rather than the medical doctor. I feel deceived and deserve a refund.

Absolutely unforgivable negligence—do not entrust your care to this clinic. After a year of treatment and tens of thousands of dollars, this clinic failed me on the one day that truly mattered. They promised results before noon, but on the most critical day, when my fertility would determine my next step, I had to call repeatedly all day. No one returned my calls. No one met the deadline. Every hour mattered, yet no one responded. Two days later, with my results still uncertain, I returned on Friday for another test. Again, I called repeatedly for an update. This time, the staff simply went home for the weekend without giving me the results. Consider that: after a year of treatment, medications, emotional stress, and enormous expense, the clinic staff simply left me without care, answers, compassion, or professionalism. This was more than inconvenient. It was cruel and negligent—a betrayal of trust at one of the most vulnerable moments in a patient's life. How is it acceptable for a fertility clinic to disappear while a patient waits for life-changing results? If you value accountability, compassion, or even basic professionalism, do not entrust your future to this clinic. They are happy to take your money, but when it matters most, they fail in the most unforgivable way.

*************PLEASE READ ********** We feel like we didn’t get treated the best here at brown fertility, we feel like they hooked us in and took our money with no chance of even having a baby. We pursued IVF with Brown fertility as I have endometriosis & low AMH so we knew that was our best option. Now they knew I had these issues and still put me on the wrong protocol and we only received one egg. April 13 was the morning we went in for the egg retrieval. They told us that I would be put under anesthesia for the egg retrieval so I would feel no pain. Well that morning that was not the case even though as soon as we got there and checked in, they asked us for $500 for anesthesia. They take me to the back and start me with an IV with Valium and laughing gas and other antibiotics. I’m laying in the bed still assuming that they are going to put me under for the anesthesia but then they roll me into the surgery room which looked like a small closet. When I asked about the anesthesia, they said oh we gave that to you. We gave you Valium and laughing gas. This a retrieval process was the most traumatic thing I have ever been through in my whole entire life and the most painful. The laughing gas and Valium was not enough because I was still aware and coherent of what was going on in that surgery room. I could hear the doctors talking. I could hear the nurses telling me that I was doing a great job telling me to squeeze their hand if I felt pain and let me tell you, I squeezed their hand like bloody murder the whole entire time. for the egg retrieval process, they insert a 17 gauge needle inside your vagina and being awake throughout their process was really hard. All the egg retrievals that I have seen the women are put to sleep so they feel no pain and here. I am awake feeling all of this pain and they think that that’s okay. when the procedure was over, they rolled me back out to the room. I was covered in blood dripping down my legs and they had nothing for me to clean myself up with. I asked them to get my husband so he could be with me to help me clean myself up. We looked around the tiny room and finally found some wet cloths to clean myself up with and thankfully I had a pad in my purse because they literally left me nothing. They left me there bleeding all messy with nothing to clean myself up with. Then, after a little while, the doctor comes in and tells us the news that they only retrieved one egg. Now there were more eggs in there, but they were not able to retrieve them because I was not fully put to sleep and they were nervous about puncturing and endometrioma instead of an egg because if they did that, then I would have been in more pain. If I was put to sleep, they could have gotten those extra eggs and we could’ve had another chance at having a baby but no, they didn’t put me to sleep and we only retrieved one egg. I get myself dressed and literally just walk out the door in tears because of the heartbreak but also because of the pain they put me through. The next day, the doctor called to let us know if the egg fertilized or not and unfortunately, it did not. What the doctor said next was shocking I wish I would have recorded it because he said well at least we know what to do now for your next cycle. I’m like how could you say that to somebody who just spent $20,000 to do IVF like it’s pocket change. I do also have email receipts of me, communicating with the anesthesiologist, telling me that she was not even in the area the morning of my surgery. She even said I don’t even know why you paid $500 for anesthesia because I was not there. After that, I really questioned everything and the mortality of Brown. I really feel like in my heart. They knew what they were doing and they feel like they’re going to get away with it, but I really truly do not want them to get away with it because they have hurt us so so much and they literally have no idea but I want them to know.

Brown Fertility gave me post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and cost me thousands of dollars. During my egg retrieval, I paid for anesthesia and was assured that an anesthesiologist would be present and that I would be asleep. Instead, I was fully awake throughout the procedure, hyperventilating and in pain rated 9.5/10. I later learned that the Tampa clinic was not licensed for that level of anesthesia and that neither the clinic nor its laboratory had independent accreditation to ensure basic fertility safety and quality standards. Before my prepaid second egg retrieval, I sought reassurance from the doctor, but my treatment was put on hold for months—no calls, no updates, and no follow-up management. They kept my money while leaving me traumatized and without care. Earlier, before we began in vitro fertilization (IVF), I scheduled three consecutive intrauterine inseminations (IUI). Before the third, I personally scheduled an in-person consultation with Dr. Duffy and paid $150 for it. Only then did he acknowledge that continuing treatment was not recommended. Had I not initiated and paid for that meeting, they would apparently have been willing to proceed with a treatment that had a low likelihood of success. Patients deserve transparent, safe, and ethical care. This review is based solely on my personal experience, but I am sharing it to protect people making life-changing decisions so they can do so with trust and proper care.

We were dissatisfied with our experience at Brown Fertility. The facility is beautiful, but staff interactions and business practices were disappointing. My wife and I had tried to conceive for years and genuinely hoped Brown would care about our situation. Instead, we felt like numbers and that the focus was money rather than fertility. Pricing lacked transparency. Our laboratory work was sent to Labcorp even though our insurance did not cover it, and we were billed about $4,000–$5,000 for genetic testing without clear advance notice. Obtaining results was difficult. We were told a doctor had to review them first, but scheduling that review took weeks or months. Obtaining medical records was also difficult. We submitted a website request and signed authorization in person but received no response. After we conceived naturally, our obstetrician requested the records three more times. Dr. Brown did not send them promptly, and every follow-up call required us to explain everything again as if nothing had been documented. This was very concerning and made it seem that once they could no longer make money from us, they ignored us and our requests. We mainly worked with Dr. Duffy. He seemed arrogant and unwelcoming, as though our questions annoyed him. We met Dr. Brown once, and he was very pleasant. Front desk interactions were also poor. Staff seemed cold and unsmiling, adding stress to already difficult visits. Even during our happiest moments, they showed no emotion. Ultimately, we spent thousands of dollars and received no value. It is truly unfortunate, and I deeply regret choosing them.

I had a new-patient appointment today, but the physician assistant (PA) I saw left me shocked by her lack of accountability, genuine warmth—or any warmth at all—and friendliness. First, she was 20 minutes late and never apologized, even though I messaged at 10 and 17 minutes past the appointment time to ask whether it was still happening. As soon as she entered the room, she went straight into medical questions, and the entire visit continued that way. I am also a healthcare professional with telemedicine experience, and I cannot imagine treating a patient this way, whether in person or virtually. Where were the human touch and basic communication? I also compared this experience with my previous visit to another fertility clinic, and the difference was night and day. I sincerely hope this cold, mechanical type of visit does not happen again.

Choosing Brown Fertility to handle our complex fertility issues was the worst medical decision I have ever made, and I am not exaggerating. The clinic lacks financial transparency, the office staff are disorganized, and doctors are often an hour late without any notice. Weeks before my egg retrieval, they told me I had to drive more than an hour from the Tampa clinic for the procedure, with no explanation. Communication was nonexistent throughout; they repeatedly promised to call back and never did. All this happened after I paid nearly $3,000 out of pocket in management/service fees. This clinic was a nightmare. Avoid it if you want to spare yourself the same frustration and pain.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Brown Fertility. I scheduled a hysterosalpingogram (HSG), an already stressful and time-sensitive procedure, but was left waiting for over an hour without any communication or updates. Such a long wait felt inconsiderate, especially for a physically and emotionally demanding procedure like an HSG. Worse was the lack of transparency: no one explained the delay, checked on me, or gave an estimated wait time. While waiting, I clearly heard a doctor loudly discussing certain OB-GYN practices illegally manipulating referrals to send patients to Shady Grove. The conversation later turned to marketing strategies, but it seemed obvious to me why doctors preferred sending patients to Shady Grove. Hearing this discussion within earshot of patients felt very unprofessional and added to an already tense situation. After nearly 50 minutes, I asked the receptionist about the delay, and she seemed surprised I had not been taken back. About 25 minutes later, I was finally brought in, asked to undress from the waist down, and left waiting again. When taken to the X-ray room, it was clear the clinical team was not prepared. I watched staff scramble to set up equipment while I sat nearby unclothed, which increased my discomfort and frustration. One nurse was kind, apologized, and understood my situation, which I appreciated. However, this was the only time I felt my experience was acknowledged. For people facing fertility issues, every appointment matters. Patients deserve empathy, professionalism, and respect for their time and dignity. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those standards. I hope the clinic improves its scheduling, communication, and overall professionalism so other patients do not have a similar experience.

I have waited three weeks just to submit a refund request. I left several voicemails for Linda Brown and Ashanti and called more than a dozen times, but still have received no response and cannot begin the refund process. At this rate, even if I eventually receive the refund, it will take months. This company is very unprofessional and disorganized. They told me my first appointment would cost $50 total, but the day before, I received a text saying I would owe an additional $200 on arrival. When scheduling, I specifically asked several times whether $50 was the full cost, and the woman assured me it was. This company deceives consumers and is dishonest. I had considered giving them another chance soon, but now they are withholding my money on top of the other problems, so I must find a better, more honest provider for fertility treatment. I would never recommend such a dishonest, deceptive, and unprofessional company.

This clinic was the greatest blessing in my fertility journey. Thanks to Dr. Brown and his excellent team, I conceived on my first attempt and had a beautiful daughter. Today, I am pregnant with my second baby and feel incredibly grateful. So far, we like Dr. Gomez. Billing and insurance issues are frustrating, but I believe all IVF clinics struggle with this, based on conversations with others. My biggest concern is their apparent lack of respect for patients' time. Even if you have the first appointment of the day, your meeting is always 20 minutes late. If they schedule you on a Saturday, you may not even be able to enter the building because the doors are locked, leaving you to hope someone lets you in. The ultimate goal is fertility care. When a doctor is actually helping you, they seem competent in that area. Everything else—scheduling appointments and surgery, cost planning, and punctuality—is mediocre at best.

I am unhappy with our experience and the lack of communication. I have to call or drive to the clinic to learn the next step. When I call, they say they will call back, but they do not. I sent 3 sperm vials; they used 2, and no one called to tell me only 1 remained. I learned this only when storage emailed me. Why did we not use my entire vial for IVF? It feels as if they do not care whether I succeed. I am frustrated and afraid to start again, and I feel abandoned during my treatment.

Dr. Gomez is wonderful. I am very grateful for his help throughout testing and in explaining the results. I have no complaints about him. The doctor who performed my HSG at the Orlando office was also excellent and helped me through an uncomfortable procedure. My complaint concerns genetic testing. I understand it is unrelated to Brown, but the front desk assured me insurance would cover it and that it would cost no more than 350–400 because they could not charge more. This morning I woke up to a $9,000 bill. Front desk staff should not make false statements or promises if they do not know. Now I must worry about a bill I was told would not happen. Brown Fertility cannot help because it is not affiliated, so staff gave me incorrect information and left me with the consequences. I was not especially interested in fertility testing, but based on what she told me, I agreed. My main concern is staff providing information without proper notice and putting patients in this position. Training is needed.

Really disappointed. I walked in and saw two different people arguing with staff while trying to obtain their records. The staff tried not to provide their complete records. Fortunately, one person stood their ground and got their documents. That immediately worried me and should have been my warning sign, but I continued with testing there. I was then told I needed to pay several hundred more dollars because insurance would not accept the procedure. When I asked for an insurance breakdown and proof, they stammered and said I could either pay or be sent to collections. Wow. Terrible. Forced to pay or be threatened. A few weeks passed. I called for my results, but they said they would not give them to me, the patient. Confused, I asked why, and they said it was their policy. That was strange, as none of my paperwork said I could not receive my own results for services I paid for. Honestly, between the untrained staff, unwillingness to work with insurance, and complete lack of professionalism at this facility, I can only tell you to stay far away. Get any other referral or recommendation. Brown is essentially trying to deceive patients and take their money. RUNNNNNNNNNNN. Do not walk; run away from here.

I disliked how they handled our appointment. We booked over a month in advance and provided all our insurance information, but when we arrived, they said insurance did not cover it. We then had to pay either a $75 cancellation fee or $240 for the actual test. It felt deceptive. We did not like it and will not return for further testing.

Terrible clinic—unprofessional and disorganized. This place is nothing more than a cash grab. Even with a referral, they cancel appointments and still try to charge a $75 fee. After two years, they did nothing except send me to specialists. Now they apparently cannot find my records and are trying to make me complete a new patient form and everything else again. If you need help becoming pregnant, you would be better off seeing your local veterinarian; I am sure they know more than these clowns. Stay away from this place. I received better service at my local McDonald's!

Our nurse practitioner, Gabriella, was warm and compassionate. She showed genuine concern about our upcoming fertility journey and our history. My only negative experience involved the other practices sharing Brown Fertility's current office space in Gainesville. When we arrived, we were confused about where to check in for Brown Fertility. Receptionists for other businesses in the building were dismissive and unprofessional when asked for help. I had to advocate for myself, contact Brown Fertility, and have a customer service representative speak to the receptionist. I was shocked when they told me to “call my doctor to check.” After meeting Gabriella, we expressed our dissatisfaction and were assured the feedback would be shared with Brown Fertility's owners to prevent similar interactions. Aside from that, my husband and I feel comfortable continuing our fertility journey with Brown Fertility.

I wish I could give zero stars. Please, please, please, please, please do your research before choosing a fertility clinic! Your heart and your wallet will thank you! I shared a review before, but I want to share another because of a recent bad experience. I did not follow Brown Fertility on Instagram or search for their posts because I had the worst experience there and did not want to see anything related to them. Somehow one of their posts appeared in my feed, and I commented that perhaps they should spend more time helping patients become pregnant instead of posting silly things on Instagram. Of course, the marketing manager replied that they were sorry I had a bad experience and asked me to tell them about it. I explained that the doctor had given me incorrect information from the beginning, that I was nearly given the wrong embryo, and that Brown Fertility showed no compassion, care, or anything else. Their only response was that they were sorry I had a bad experience, but could I please stop commenting on their posts? Wow. Ladies, do your research!!!!! This is not a good-quality clinic. You do not want to go there. There are many other options. My cousin had amazing success with CNY Fertility. She lives out of state, but they made everything seamless and easy, and now she has two children!!!

I strongly advise against seeking treatment here. The staff rarely took time to explain things or offer proactive care. We completed three IUIs at Brown and constantly had issues getting medications. We often spent hours on the phone trying to reach the on-call provider because the clinic failed to call them in when promised. After three failed IUIs, we expressed interest in IVF and were told we needed a separate consult—despite already being patients who had spent over $5,000. The $150 IVF consult lasted barely 10 minutes, during which Dr. Cabrera simply asked, "What do you want to do?" rather than providing guidance. His bedside manner was among the worst we've encountered. After deciding to move forward, we had to pay another $150 just to fill out paperwork—on top of the $15,644 for retrieval and a fresh cycle. Anesthesia was an extra $500, and blood pregnancy tests were $150 each. We requested the clinic’s success rates for IVF with unexplained infertility and were told that data was unavailable. We had concerns about monitoring during the STIMS process. Our fresh transfer failed—not surprising, since recent research suggests frozen cycles are more effective, yet we were still pushed toward a fresh cycle. After the failure, no further testing was recommended before moving into a frozen cycle ($4,995). However, after our second failed transfer, we demanded a meeting with a provider—again, we had to pay just to speak to a doctor. We met with Dr. Gomez, who acknowledged our concerns but mysteriously left the clinic two weeks later. He confirmed that additional testing should have been done after the first failure, meaning we may have unnecessarily lost an embryo.We reached out to the business manager, Shelly Cardona, who dismissed our concerns entirely. For our third and final transfer, we again had issues with medications. The only reason we stayed was to avoid the difficulty of transferring our remaining embryo to another clinic. The missing bloodwork from our first failed transfer later revealed a genetic mutation requiring additional medication—confirming that this could have cost us an embryo. Our final transfer took place in Jacksonville, and the experience was appalling. Dr. Brown spent more time bragging about how many transfers he was doing that day to the provider he was training than focusing on mine. The process felt rushed and impersonal- I felt like part of an assembly line. Worst of all, several of us were left waiting for our turn to transfer, half-naked, wrapped only in blankets, like cattle being processed. If you’re looking for compassionate, individualized care, go elsewhere. Brown Fertility is disorganized, impersonal, and does not provide the level of care they should.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Jimeylie – Our IVF Coordinator My husband and I began our fertility journey in January 2024, filled with hope and uncertainty. Over the course of several months, we went through three IUI attempts—unfortunately, all unsuccessful. It was during this emotional rollercoaster that Jimeylie gently introduced the idea of IVF to us. At first, I was hesitant and unsure, but we decided to schedule an appointment with her to learn more. From the moment we sat down with Jimeylie, everything changed. She walked us through the entire IVF process with incredible clarity, compassion, and attention to every detail. Her patience, knowledge, and unwavering support helped us feel confident and informed every step of the way. She stood beside us not just professionally, but with a kindness that made all the difference. This journey is not easy—it can be mentally and physically draining—but having someone like Jimeylie by our side made it just a little bit easier to bear. In November 2024, we did our first (and only) embryo transfer. And today, we are holding our little miracle in our arms. 💝 Dreams do come true. For some, the path may be longer or more difficult, but the journey is absolutely worth it. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every nurse and doctor who supported us along the way. It is now June 2025, so I am posting an update. I wish I had listened to the advice three years ago. After conceiving naturally, I went back. They do seem to have hired more people to answer the phones, but otherwise the surprises keep coming, and not in a good way. For example, I had an egg retrieval last week and just learned that once the embryos are tested, there will be an additional fee for the transfer on top of the more than $25,000 already paid. I have asked twice for more information and am still waiting for a response. I recommend looking elsewhere. ********************************************** Believe the negative reviews. From the first appointment through canceling my last appointment—I will never return—working with this clinic was one of the most stressful and unpleasant experiences of my life, and I am a service member who has served in multiple war zones. If their fertility rates are high, it must be by chance or for reasons unrelated to their customer service or communication skills. You cannot reach anyone by phone, and they do not tell you what you need to know about laboratory tests, genetic screening, and hysterosalpingography (HSG). My husband had major problems with scheduling and paperwork, and at his appointment he was given a hard time about insurance even though I had already provided the clinic with all the insurance information. I do not recommend this clinic. When I began treatment, my insurance covered only this clinic; otherwise, I would have taken the negative reviews more seriously. Hindsight is 20/20, so use my terrible experience to avoid one of your own. To the company: please do not respond to this post with excuses that your high fertility rate has created high demand and that you are trying to provide the best medical care. It is clearly about money; otherwise, the company would adapt and hire enough staff to meet growing demand. You also should not ask me to contact you so you can make it right. This company had many opportunities to correct things and did not. So much time was wasted and so many eggs were lost, which means several lost chances for pregnancy. That cannot be made right.

Infertility is closely associated with emotional distress, including depression, anxiety, and grief, so I entrusted my future and my trust to Brown Fertility. Based on my treatment records with Dr. Brown, he recommended tubal reanastomosis. I was told the procedure was not covered by insurance and that I would pay $7,500 out of pocket. The surgery was scheduled for April 25, 2025. Imagine how quickly my excitement disappeared when the doctor walked in and asked, “Why are you here?” The look on his face made me feel out of place and unworthy of his time. “IVF is your only option. Dr. Brown did not fully review your medical records.” I was confused because I had been Dr. Brown's patient for the past two years and we had reviewed my medical history in detail. I had undergone many tests at this office. I had sat down with Dr. Brown twice, and he told me his office had more experience and that this was my treatment plan. He said, “Well, you need to speak with Dr. Brown.” I knew I had no choice but to leave because I felt he might have someone escort me to the cashier. I was very upset, and I think the doctor felt sorry for me because he completed my preoperative preparation right there at the cashier's desk. I suppose HIPAA guidelines did not apply to me. The doctor asked about my previous surgeries and reviewed the surgical preparation after I left. I then received a call from a nurse who told me Dr. Brown did not know my medical history and had decided not to perform the surgery. I asked whether I could receive a refund, as this appeared to be a clinical error. I do not understand how Dr. Brown could create a treatment plan for me, have me pay $7,500 in cash, and then say he had not fully reviewed my records. I saw that Brown Fertility had been recognized as one of the best fertility clinics in the United States and that it partnered with Fertility for Colored Girls. I only hope future patients do their research and do not make the same $7,500 mistake I did. To this day, Brown Fertility has neither refunded me nor apologized.

I do not usually leave negative feedback, but I want to share my experience to help the clinic improve. At first, everything seemed wonderful and the staff were friendly. However, a series of errors had serious consequences. The first issue was that my address was entered incorrectly as “Tolsway” instead of “Palmway.” Although this was corrected quickly, it was only the beginning. Then my husband's year of birth was also entered incorrectly. I thought the issue had been resolved after I called, but when he went to LabCorp for genetic testing, the staff did not mention that both his birth year and the type of test on the order were incorrect, and no one told me the test had been placed on hold. When I called Brown Fertility to schedule my scan, I was excited because my cycle had started, only to learn that they could not schedule it until the genetic testing issue was resolved. I had been following up with LabCorp since the test was completed on March 28, but it had already exceeded the expected timeframe. Unfortunately, I now have to miss this cycle because the original order was canceled by the provider, requiring a corrected order and delaying the results by another three weeks. I feel extremely frustrated and sad. The lack of attention to detail and urgency is concerning. I regret not considering the other negative reviews, but I hope to see improvements in the future. I will update this review if my treatment experience becomes positive.

My experience with Brown Fertility has been excellent so far. The staff are very friendly, and Dr. Duffy is highly skilled and knowledgeable. He takes time to explain every step clearly so you never feel lost. Another benefit is that you are assigned a navigator who guides you throughout the process, answers questions, coordinates scheduling, and provides comprehensive support. My navigator, Ines Maldonado, has been wonderful—responsive and kind, making the whole process feel much easier. I sincerely appreciate her guidance and support.

I want to share my wonderful experience at Brown Fertility. I had heard many troubling stories about fertility treatment, especially unexpected costs and unclear processes, but that was not the case here. Every step was explained clearly, and pricing was always transparent—what we agreed to and signed remained consistent, with no hidden fees. Every IVF process requires a nurse, and Jimeylie Fraticelli was mine. I am incredibly grateful that she supported me through the emotional ups and downs. She was always professional and compassionate, making me feel supported and safe. She patiently and empathetically explained every detail so I never felt lost or overwhelmed. Jimeylie was always helpful and made me feel like more than a patient—her genuine care and attention meant so much to me. I sincerely hope she continues bringing this passion and professionalism to her work. Dr. Rafael Cabrera was also attentive and compassionate, giving me confidence throughout treatment. Do not go here. This place is a scam, especially for self-pay patients. I went to their Orlando clinic and received poor care. Avoid Brown Fertility and go to the Center for Reproductive Medicine. 1) I had a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) at Brown Fertility, but they did not explain the recovery process. When I finally reached them, they said my post-procedure symptoms were normal. After transferring to another fertility clinic, I learned they were not normal and required immediate treatment. 2) They said my estradiol level was too high to begin intrauterine insemination (IUI) and prescribed birth control. After this experience, another fertility center checked my estradiol three times and found it completely normal. I was also told there was no medical reason for me to take birth control. 3) Their phlebotomist was a joke. I was stuck at least four times, and they still could not collect enough blood. I am tough, but a facility that collects specimens should have at least one experienced phlebotomist. 4) I had to argue with Brown Fertility to transfer my records to another fertility center. They also never told me or showed me any laboratory results. 5) I paid out of pocket for the entire IUI process, yet they still tried to charge me $250 at every ultrasound visit. 6) Brown Fertility does not communicate. You can never reach the care team. They blamed me for an error made by their employee. I left Brown Fertility and requested a refund for services I had paid for myself. I signed a document stating the refund would be processed within 120 days. Because of their poor communication, I had to keep emailing finance for updates. I finally contacted a legal team, and only then did they process the refund, more than 180 days later. Do not go to Brown Fertility. Go to the Center for Reproductive Medicine.

Scammers! We spent a great deal of money and time on IVF and ended up with only 3 embryos. We froze them and stored them in their embryo bank. Read the fine print carefully because they keep raising the monthly storage fee. Later, when we wanted to transfer the embryos to a facility with a lower monthly fee, they demanded another $800. After paying them for so many years, being treated this way was extremely disappointing. Be very careful with this company.

Stay Away – Save Your Time and Money I’m 23 years old and started this process at 22. My first consultation with Dr. Brown was in November 2023, where I was diagnosed with PCOS. I was told I was “the office’s favorite patient because I get pregnant so easily.” Three IUI rounds later, no pregnancy. That’s okay; I understand outcomes aren’t guaranteed. My frustration is not about failing to conceive, it’s about the lack of care, communication, and professionalism at this clinic. IUI Experience During my second IUI, I arrived for my appointment only to be told, after waiting 45 minutes, that we couldn’t proceed because I hadn’t received the chickenpox vaccine. This was never mentioned before, and we had already completed one IUI without it. I had to wait another month for the vaccine to take effect. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. IVF Process After IUI failed, we moved to IVF. I followed all medication protocols. Days before retrieval, I had an ultrasound and was in pain, wobbling, barely able to walk. My ovaries were so enlarged they couldn’t even locate my left ovary. I was told to continue medication for three more days. At that point, they estimated around 70 eggs. On retrieval day, I woke up from anesthesia to learn they only retrieved 8 eggs, no reason, why no explanation, no communication, NOTHING. After the procedure, I was sent home in a wheelchair despite being pale, nauseous, and in excruciating pain. I could not move an inch. My boyfriend had to lift the mattress to help me stand of the bed. I suspected OHSS, and was terrified if I had it. We called Dr. Brown. His response? “There’s no way she has it that soon, just rest.” Texted later that day and told him I am in too much pain, he said I can pick up Narcotics from his Jacksonville office (3 hours away.....). Severe OHSS & Hospitalization I rested for two days, but my condition worsened, extreme pain, fever, and a resting heart rate of 175. I went to the ER (was asked to their partner hospital, but I was scared and it was an hour away). Tests revealed fluid up to my chest. I was transferred to Nemours Hospital (Partnering Hospital) and underwent paracentesis TWICE. Diagnosis: Severe OHSS... surprise surprise. While hospitalized for five days, a doctor I had never met (Dr. Cabrera) claimed he was my doctor. His comment? “You should have just come to the office; we would’ve done this in and out.” Completely dismissive and inappropriate given my critical condition, be shaking in pain in a hospital bed and this is your comment as my provider? Interesting to say the least. Embryo Transfer & Communication After months of recovery, we proceeded with transfer, I was desperate to finish this. Only one embryo survived. On transfer day, the doctor barely communicated. I had to ask for the grade (3BC). No explanation of what that meant, no details about the embryo’s development. The transfer failed—and I never heard a word from the clinic afterward. No follow-up, no support, NOTHING, just silence. Final Thoughts This clinic showed poor communication, lack of patient care, and disregard for serious medical complications. My experience was more than traumatic, and I would never recommend Brown Fertility to anyone. Please save yourself the pain, stress, and risk, go elsewhere, PLEASE!

My egg-freezing experience was excellent, and the entire process went very smoothly. It took about 4 weeks from start to finish. Several staff members proactively contacted me and introduced themselves. The clinic does not store eggs in its own office but uses a third party, so I do not understand why some reviews mention storage issues, as those are unrelated to the clinic. Everything was communicated very clearly. I received a personalized schedule listing exactly when each task needed to be completed. Ultrasound appointments were also very easy to schedule, which was essential because my work hours are very inflexible. I have recommended this practice to all my female colleagues.

They are extremely disorganized. I arrived for scheduled appointments several times, even after calling to confirm, but they repeatedly had no record of them. I often waited two or three hours and missed work for appointments that should have taken 30 minutes. Their repeated negligence put me at risk—fortunately, I am a nurse and could advocate for myself. They nearly canceled my time-sensitive egg retrieval because they forgot to tell me to stop enoxaparin (Lovenox). As noted, I am a nurse, so I stopped it myself even though they never instructed me to. Our situation was unusual, and every visit left them confused, forcing us to explain it awkwardly in front of the entire waiting room. They also needed repeated reminders to obtain our frozen egg sample for retrieval day. They charged many unexplained fees without transparency. They refused to bill our insurer $7,000 for a procedure, and a year later we are still seeking reimbursement. The doctors told us IVF would work for us 100%. I understand failure is common, but that statement was inappropriate. Most of the time, they seemed not to communicate with one another or understand what was happening. After we completed several tests at the clinic, they made it extremely difficult to schedule an initial consultation. That made no sense and should have been the first warning sign. Infertility treatment is vulnerable and expensive, but we felt no compassion here. Nurse Kristy deserves praise for being very kind and supportive, but the doctors and other staff were not. Worse, when we requested copies of our records, the doctor falsely stated that my husband had taken testosterone, which never happened. He also claimed to have prescribed medications that were not in the record. Given the high cost of treatment, care should be more organized and humane; these errors are inexcusable. I understand fertility treatment does not always succeed, and that is not why I am angry. They disregarded my health and safety and seemed unaware of what was happening most of the time. As a healthcare professional, I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone. Fertility treatment is extremely expensive, and you deserve the best medical care and attention.

I do not know where to begin. Treatment felt good at first, but over time I felt they forgot to care for us. Unfortunately, our treatment was unsuccessful. Because it was our first treatment, we understood that outcome was possible, but I expected more attentive care. After treatment ended, they never called to check on me or explain why it failed. They completely forgot about me. Honestly, I expected more. I do not think I will try there again. When I called, a nurse made me feel terrible and was very rude. Learning that treatment failed was painful, but it was even harder to feel that the clinic did not care and to be treated that way.

Infertility is stressful and confusing, so when choosing a fertility clinic, you want an experienced doctor who can help you pursue parenthood from beginning to end. Dr. Brown and his team did exactly that for my husband and me. I had stage IV endometriosis, making natural conception difficult. After two laparoscopic surgeries, we were referred to Dr. Brown. My OB-GYN said, “If my daughter ever struggled with infertility, I would send her here because he is the expert.” Some may say his bedside manner is not polished, but that was not why we chose him. I did not want to be coddled or given false hope. I wanted a doctor with a record of success who could provide hopeful but honest feedback and help us become parents. Unfortunately, our first attempt failed, but the care my nurse Chelsea and the entire team gave me during that time will remain in my heart forever. We made adjustments for the second transfer, and fortunately it succeeded. I personally love Dr. Brown. Before the second transfer, he reassured me, took time to explain what to expect, and encouraged me to breathe deeply. We now have a healthy, happy one-year-old, Noah, our “New Year's baby.” I sincerely thank Dr. Brown, Chelsea, and the entire team for making this possible. If we decide to try again, Brown Fertility will be our first and only choice. Haha, I think of them whenever I watch Family Feud. #IfYouKnowYouKnow

It took time to decide what to say. I had several unpleasant experiences with Dr. Brown and felt his approach did not suit my treatment, but I did not trust my instincts until the end. I was still dealing with trauma and made a rushed decision without my usual research. The process did not feel collaborative, and Dr. Brown seemed unwilling to try approaches he did not support. He said his role was to make me understand that if I did not become pregnant, the problem was my eggs, not his protocol. After failed transfers, he did not initiate meetings because he did not plan to change anything. I had to schedule them and plead for alternatives and further evaluation. When we scheduled a hysteroscopy, it felt as though he was only appeasing me. He found nothing and again focused on my embryos. Doctors should not order dozens of tests without reason, but when a patient says her entire future rests on one final embryo, every reasonable effort should be made to ensure her body is ready. I was willing to try anything. By then I had undergone 3 IUIs, 2 failed IVF transfers, and 2 at-home inseminations with frozen sperm. I was generally healthy with normal results, though being 38 was a disadvantage. Dr. Brown suspected endometriosis from the start, but we never discussed it again. I assumed that if I had it, it was silent and probably minor. I knew little about the disease and have since learned that many people, including OB-GYNs, know little about it even though it affects one in ten of us. At my hysteroscopy appointment I advocated more strongly and asked about endometriosis. I also consulted other doctors because I did not feel heard by Dr. Brown. Every doctor raised the possibility of endometriosis, so I found a specialist. He listened and prioritized my health, not only my wish to become a mother. He suggested another test after my last transfer and modest adjustments to my original protocol. Today is the second day after my laparoscopy. I was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis. My appendix was removed, my uterus was adhered to my colon, there were multiple hernias on my uterus, and endometrial tissue was found in many abnormal places. I am still processing this. I only wanted to know before my last embryo transfer that I had done everything possible to prepare my body. I hope my remaining embryo implants despite my age. If it fails, I can now feel at peace because I did everything I could. I was heard, and my overall health came first. I want more than anything to be a mother, and I wanted my views to be heard, valued, and treated as part of a partnership. I feel Dr. Brown did not fulfill his responsibility to me. I cannot know what would have happened if we had prioritized evaluation for endometriosis from the beginning. Perhaps I would be a mother now, perhaps not. I am glad to have an explanation for years of abnormal periods, and I believe I will now be healthier and better able to manage adenomyosis. Trust your instincts, do your research, and advocate for yourself!

This was the worst experience I have ever had. Before our cycle was even over, all the nurses were already discussing what we might try next time. Worse, they owe me a refund and now say I must wait 60 to 180 business days. This clinic only made a difficult situation worse, and I strongly recommend staying away.

The entire process felt rushed, and Dr. Lauren did not take the time to fully understand my concerns or explore other possible treatment options. I expected a higher level of professionalism and more attentive care, especially for something so important. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not return.

This clinic is outrageous! I called one day to schedule a consultation with a doctor because I was a new patient. The person who answered was rude and demanded my Social Security number just to make an appointment, which was absurd! He insisted that I provide it. When I asked why, he only said that was how their clinic operated. That alone made me leave immediately, and I will never seek care at this clinic.

This is by far the worst organization I have encountered. Appointments do not start on time, they ask for a deposit before explaining the specific process, and they are disorganized and extremely unprofessional. It is alarming that they handle such complex procedures.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I cannot emphasize this enough: do not go to this clinic! I have watched it decline over more than a decade. At first, I was fortunate to have two daughters, but for the next three years this clinic brought me only heartbreak and endless distress. After my second failed transfer and the loss of four embryos, I begged them to perform more testing or change the protocol, but they completely dismissed and refused my requests. They actually told me, 'Just keep transferring; eventually one will work'... Excellent 'expert' advice! With only two embryos left, I advocated for a longer Lupron protocol and sought a second opinion from another specialist in town. I had hoped he would let me transfer the embryos to his clinic, but he told me no one in town would handle embryos from Brown Fertility because its laboratory was substandard and did not meet the required qualifications. That says everything. I had no choice but to transfer the last two embryos, and of course it failed. I only know the result because I tested at home on the day of my blood test. It is now after 5 p.m., and I still have not received a call with the result. When I say run, I mean go elsewhere as quickly as possible. Seriously. They should improve their phone recording because they show no compassion. Ten embryos and two live births, far below the national average.
