After many treatment attempts, we finally found success with Dr. Check. The office is certainly different, but the care is outstanding. After years without success, our first attempt here worked.

The rudest front-desk employee. She insisted that we wear masks, although she was not required to wear one herself. She also seemed not to like men. I was not allowed into the building and was rudely told to leave. I think this woman needs to understand how much money and emotion are invested in this process. If she does not like her job, she should resign. Hire someone helpful and compassionate.

The worst experience of my life. I worked well with the fertility nurses; Tabitha and Joanne were both wonderful. However, Ann, the pregnancy nurse, had a terrible attitude. Dr. Choi did not listen but was knowledgeable, while Dr. Cohen was extremely insensitive and unhelpful. Do not go to this office.

Dr. Check is an absolute genius and is highly regarded in his profession for good reason! He genuinely cares about every person who comes to him and considers each case individually. After 8 long, sad, and frustrating years of desperately trying to have a baby, Dr. Check helped me become pregnant within 3 or 4 months of our first consultation. I also paid only a fraction of what other doctors charge. So far, I have referred 5 friends to him, and every one of them has at least one child!!

I had an excellent experience at this clinic. Dr. Check is highly knowledgeable, thorough, and has a wonderful manner with patients. I appreciate that he provides patients with research articles for further reading about their treatment. I felt very well cared for here. During my first IVF cycle, everyone—from reception, billing, and the phlebotomist to the embryologists, doctors, and nurses—was professional and compassionate. They truly helped reduce the stress of an ordinarily stressful situation. Andy, the anesthetist, was also wonderful. Dr. Sobel performed my retrieval and transfer and was excellent—a compassionate doctor who truly cares about patients. My only complaint is that billing is difficult to reach. Once I was able to speak with them, they resolved matters quickly, but trying to arrange billing promptly enough to start a cycle was somewhat stressful.

When I read reviews of this practice, I cannot help wondering why Cooper's administration will not make major improvements. The recurring theme is rude office staff. My niece is receiving treatment and personally experienced the office staff's extreme rudeness and unpleasant behavior. My God. Given the purpose of this practice, how can this be acceptable? I will make a bold statement about Cooper, and I can verify every experience. The doctors are excellent, but in my experience Cooper seems to pay signing bonuses for hiring obnoxious, rude, unprofessional office staff. No, this is not an isolated event; it is widespread. What a disgrace for the doctors who see patients and excel at their work but must tolerate the worst staff. The administration responsible for staffing must be at fault. It cannot be a coincidence that every office has some of the worst staff. Another bold statement: if Cooper removed the entirely incompetent, ineffective patient-relations staff, I guarantee there would be tremendous improvement. Most calls to this useless group concern staff issues, and they never return calls. They are the embodiment of rudeness. After years of this nonsense, anyone would conclude that office staff would never act this way if they knew the people entrusted to oversee their behavior would respond. I almost want to name every one of them, but that would be unfair to the excellent doctors. Cooper, keep posting condescending replies saying you are glad this was brought to your attention. We all know how much effort you will make.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Check and the entire staff. With their help, I had 2 children through IVF. It was a very emotional experience, and the staff explained everything very well. I referred a close friend, and she also had a wonderful experience and had boy-girl twins. Highly recommended!

We—my wife and I—are extremely disappointed with how we were treated. The staff were rude and would not answer our honest questions. My wife was already very emotional, and the employees here only made matters worse!

My experience there was very poor. First, the nurses were not very kind. Second, I should have had more eggs retrieved, but they allowed only one egg to develop and ultimately retrieved just one, wasting my expensive medication. Third, at my first visit, the doctor took me into a room for an examination. I expected him to use an instrument, but he simply inserted his finger into my vagina and asked whether it hurt a little. No one else was present. Afterward, he sent me for an ultrasound. I do not understand whether that examination was necessary.

It has been about a year since I began my journey with Dr. Check. After several unsuccessful attempts to build our family, I was referred to him. Following a very thorough evaluation, I was finally diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, a diagnosis I had sought for years. Thankfully, with help from his practice, my husband and I welcomed our first son in February. I will always be grateful to him and the practice for the kindness they showed us during our struggle.

My experience at the clinic was mixed. The doctors are excellent—caring, attentive, and genuinely committed to treatment. The medical care is unquestionably one of the clinic’s greatest strengths. However, the administrative side leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, service outside the consultation room is extremely disorganized. Communication is unclear, deadlines are often missed, and patient support often feels impersonal and sometimes even disrespectful. This creates unnecessary stress and uncertainty during an already emotional process. I sincerely hope clinic management will carefully review how the administrative team operates. With such capable medical staff, it is unfortunate that the overall experience is diminished by organizational problems that can and should be addressed with greater empathy, respect, and professionalism.

Dr. Check's practice is amazing! Without them, my son would not be here. I will always be grateful! If I could give them a rating of 1000, I would.

My experience has been really poor so far. Dr checks intial consultation is him proving you with his research papers, his assistant is rude, instructions not provided, totally unprofessional office

Dr. Check and his team are amazing! After two miscarriages, our previous doctors did not know what was wrong, but Dr. Check identified the issue in about 20 minutes. We had our daughter, who certainly would not be here without him. We will be forever grateful! We also referred two desperate friends with similar experiences. Thanks to Dr. Check and his team, both now have children. They are truly wonderful!

A truly disappointing experience. We went there because we had heard that ‘Dr. Check is brilliant and works miracles after miscarriages.’ We met Dr. Check once, and he spoke with us for three hours about the various studies he had participated in to prove he was the best. He ordered laboratory tests and prescribed cabergoline, an experimental medication for infertility. We were excited at the time, although he misspelled my name on the prescription, which should have been the first warning sign. I later took my daughter there because of concerns about her egg reserve, and they tested her. Dr. Check again prescribed me cabergoline, an experimental medication commonly used for patients with Parkinson's disease. After that, no one reviewed the laboratory results with me or followed up. In fact, that was the last time I saw Dr. Check. Everything afterward was handled by nurses who did not seem to communicate with one another. I became extremely frustrated. At every visit, I felt I received too little professional guidance and was simply told to collect a large box of medications, including many injections. I eventually had to find online videos to learn how to inject myself. A few days after the transfer, they checked my progesterone, but there were no further tests until the beta-hCG test two weeks later. This was my second fertility clinic and my third IVF cycle. My previous clinic checked my progesterone every few days and adjusted my medication accordingly, so going two weeks without bloodwork seemed strange. How could we know whether I was injecting myself correctly? IVF medications differ from one cycle to another, so they could not assume I knew how to administer them. We paid $6,000 out of pocket for a frozen embryo transfer and felt the clinic treated me like a number. Less than 72 hours after receiving a negative pregnancy test, the billing department emailed to say that my package had only one office visit remaining and that I would have to buy another package if I needed more visits. Perhaps someone should have told them I was not pregnant and stopped that email. Ultimately, we never reached the pregnancy-confirmation ultrasound stage, but husbands are not allowed to attend ultrasounds there. This deeply upset me. We had been trying for more than four years, and if the transfer had worked, the thought of my husband not being present the first time we saw our baby's heartbeat was heartbreaking. At our previous fertility clinic, he attended every ultrasound. We agreed not to let this affect us and planned to go elsewhere for our first ultrasound if my beta-hCG was positive, but it should not have been that way. I expected more scientific explanations and answers here, but did not receive them.

I traveled from Florida specifically to consult Dr. Check. He spent considerable time explaining our situation to my husband and me and answered every question. Today, especially in fertility care, it is rare to find a doctor who truly takes time with patients. His staff were also very kind. I highly recommend him and his clinic. We have not succeeded yet, but I believe we will with Dr. Check and his team.

After nearly two difficult years of trying to conceive, we became pregnant naturally following six months of cycle monitoring with Dr. Check. Reviews of him are mixed: some call him legendary, while others think he is eccentric. His approach is unconventional, and he tries fertility medications not yet accepted by mainstream medicine. His clinic is old-fashioned in both decor and communication. To reach a nurse, you leave a message and the team calls back; if you miss the call, they leave a message, and the process repeats. Still, many couples, including us and many who travel from abroad or out of state, have conceived through his care. I highly recommend him if you can devote time to managing your case: 1. Read the research papers he shares and set realistic expectations for timing and treatment. 2. Know your cycle, schedule, medications, and every other detail thoroughly. The nurses—Priscilla, Jackie, Tammy, Natalie, Kathy, Ann, and Melissa—are warm, friendly, and helpful. Ann even texted us during an emergency. They genuinely care, although you may occasionally need to remind them of something they missed. Above all, we are incredibly grateful for the lovely baby girl in our arms. Thank you, Dr. Check and staff!

The best, brightest, and most caring doctor! My IVF son is now getting married!! The medical team was highly attentive and closely monitored blood-test results and symptoms. I will always be grateful!!!!

Nurse Priscilla was wonderful—the only bright spot in my experience. Unfortunately, everything else was frustrating. It is nearly impossible to reach anyone in the office. You cannot contact them directly; you can only hope you answer when they randomly call back, or you miss them entirely. Most of the front desk staff were friendly except Kim, who was very rude and unhelpful. Billing was a complete mess. My cycle was coded incorrectly, causing my insurer to deny coverage. I confirmed that it would be covered if Dr. Check’s office corrected the code, but they never fixed it. I also received a mysterious bill that did not match any of my visits. For months, no one responded despite my calls and messages. The only reply I received came after I posted on their Facebook page. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I switched to a new doctor, and the difference is remarkable—the care and communication are much better.

I strongly advise against Dr. Check's clinic. After the initial consultation, he handed us to “nurses” who we later learned were unlicensed and had no medical background before working there. He did not participate in our plan and knew nothing about our case when we finally reached him months later. We sought support for natural conception after two early miscarriages and clearly declined IVF or IUI. Dr. Check promised he could help without them. Despite previously conceiving quickly, we had no success during six months of his treatment, then conceived naturally within two months of stopping. While awaiting an OB-GYN, we asked the clinic for early-pregnancy support. An unlicensed “nurse” advised my wife to take fertility drugs at about four times a standard IVF dose, plus drugs often used for Parkinson's disease and ADHD, despite natural conception. After researching potential fetal risks, we requested discontinuation. She asked me to email studies to Dr. Check; I submitted 11 peer-reviewed papers. When Dr. Check called, he was condescending, repeatedly and sarcastically called me “doctor,” and asked where I completed residency. Despite claiming over 50 years of experience, he had not reviewed the studies, did not know the drugs or doses prescribed in his name, and did not know my wife's extremely high blood levels. Entrusting something so important to him and receiving arrogance and disregard was deeply disappointing. His lack of oversight and disrespect for our high-risk concerns were unacceptable.

We love Dr. Check. When my water began leaking at 5 months of pregnancy, he knew how to save one of my twins and was very helpful with the costs. Nurse Katie was extremely rude to me during that frightening time. I hope she no longer works there.

I tried to conceive naturally for years and had two intrauterine inseminations (IUI) before ultimately completing all my in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment here. We succeeded on the third cycle. I will say that no one will proactively contact you here or at any other clinic, but I completely trust the doctors and staff at Dr. Check's practice. Fertility treatment here also costs far less than elsewhere. Highly recommended!

Before seeing Dr. Check, a highly reputable fertility clinic had told me that I would likely never become pregnant because of diminished ovarian reserve/primary ovarian insufficiency (POI). I had completed 6 rounds of injections and was pursuing donor eggs, as that clinic recommended, when two acupuncturists recommended Dr. Check. We transferred to his practice, and with medication I miraculously became pregnant during the first cycle—naturally! Dr. Check is passionate and always puts patients first. He devoted countless hours to us and, most importantly, gave us hope. We were not just a number. He considered my body's condition carefully, reviewed my luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels, and tailored treatment to me. Dr. Check's innovative thinking and his team's reliability gave me a beautiful, healthy baby girl who is now sleeping peacefully in my arms. I will always be grateful to them.

Simply the best in the country. After two previous IVF attempts with a stated 0% chance of success, I am finally pregnant thanks to Dr. Check and her team. They are miracle workers, and I will always be grateful.

The doctor told me that even with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), he was 100% certain I could become pregnant naturally. After my partner and I separated, however, I still wanted a child and decided to purchase donor sperm. From then on, everything changed. They repeatedly told me to reunite with my ex-boyfriend. I said I did not want to and wanted donor sperm, but they tried twice more to change my mind. I insisted on using donor sperm. They then told me to have the sperm delivered to their office on a specific date, which I did, only to say they could not perform IUI because my body was not ready. Why did they tell me to send it then? Of course, I had to pay them to store the sperm because they had said they were ready to perform my IUI. They ordered my IUI medication too late and refused to perform the IUI when I showed them ovulation tests proving I was about to ovulate. On the scheduled IUI day, they told me to go elsewhere for several hours and return. When I came back at the specified time, they said I had already ovulated and it was too late for IUI. What? There was no apology or anything else. They did not care that I had driven there from out of state. I had enough and wanted the sperm I had purchased returned—it did not come from them—but they treated me like a criminal and held it hostage. When they finally agreed to release it, the nurses gave me contemptuous looks and treated me terribly. They later sent a letter essentially threatening me for removing the sperm I had purchased. It was there only because they told me to send it for IUI. They failed to order the medication on time and waited too long to perform the procedure, which made me angry. I personally believe they deliberately undermined that cycle because they disapproved of my using donor sperm. Women nearly 10 years older than me with the same condition had children, so why was my cycle undermined? They were married, while I used donor sperm. This is discrimination. The nurses were also rude and arrogant. I would never recommend this place. This happened 2 or 3 years ago, and I still cannot move past how they undermined my treatment.

I personally would not recommend this provider. My experience differed from recent reviews. I almost did not post because it is wonderful if people succeed here. However, I shared my disappointment with other local providers, and they were not surprised by my story and said I was not alone. For context, I saw this provider for infertility. - Although I visited only once, the office staff were quite kind. Reviews describing rude staff surprised me because everyone was pleasant. - I was hesitant from the beginning because the office was decorated with outdated items, and Dr. Check's office was so heavily decorated that people joked it resembled Game of Thrones. It created an odd atmosphere in an infertility setting. This is the least relevant criticism, but not meaningless. - Overall, the doctor spoke at length, did not want to hear much from us, and did not communicate in a way that earned my trust. There was no dialogue, only a long monologue. It was exhausting and overwhelming, especially because he often discussed irrelevant topics instead of infertility and the rationale for treatment. - His consultation seemed to follow a set rhythm, including pointing out his many published studies in a binder he handed us. The first few were interesting, but after the tenth it felt excessive, as though he was trying too hard to prove his point. I would also have liked research from other institutions supporting his claims. He seemed focused on proving his ideas, earning our trust specifically in him, and undermining our trust in other fertility clinics. I did not expect so much of the discussion to focus on this. It felt very contrary to patient-centered care. - The strangest part was his discussion of how he used Adderall (??) to find a universal cancer cure and how oncologists distrusted him because they wanted to profit from their own drugs. I do not know why this needed to be discussed at a fertility appointment. - He did not mention a follow-up appointment or next steps for bloodwork or anything else, and no one followed up afterward. This was very confusing as a patient and highly unprofessional. - Seeing a doctor for infertility is an extremely vulnerable experience. Spending 2–3 hours in the office, including 1 hour waiting and 1 hour listening to him speak at us, was deeply frustrating. No trust was built, no respect was earned, and no empathy was communicated. We did not feel we received high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. I am disappointed that this is what Cooper provides its patients.

I have two living children from two IVF cycles with this team. Their price is a fraction of what others charge, so understand that they work hard and handle a high volume. I came here after a failed cycle elsewhere and a recommendation to use donor eggs. They understand diminished ovarian reserve and the specific protocol needed for success. I am glad I found them through a Facebook group and decided to travel to have children. It is not an enjoyable process, but their staff have long tenures and remember returning patients. I am so grateful to this team for giving me my two daughters. After believing I could never become pregnant, I am now unexpectedly pregnant. Without them, my dream of becoming a mother of three would not have come true. Thank you again.

Dr. Check helped me 42 years ago and has helped several people I referred to him! When I had two miscarriages, he was the only doctor who cared! I highly recommend him to anyone struggling to build a family!

I recently visited this office frequently, sometimes 2–3 times a week for bloodwork and ultrasounds during IVF. This office was highly recommended for difficulty conceiving. After my first visit with the examining doctor, I found the plan exciting and hopeful. Yet every time I entered the office, I felt hurt and afraid because of the most unprofessional medical team I have encountered. This is an extremely sensitive condition, and IVF involves considerable heartbreak and disappointment. My one-way trip to the office took 1 hour 15 minutes, and I felt anxious on the way, not knowing whether the staff would give me a good or terrible experience. I work in animal rescue and have visited many veterinary offices, where animals were treated a million times better than my husband and I were here. I specifically raised my complaints with Wendy and the office manager, but they were ignored and dismissed. The office manager did not know I was in the corner of the waiting area when she spoke badly about another patient to receptionist Steven, and I heard her clearly. I am happy others have had excellent results, but my journey with this office is over, and unfortunately they wasted our time.
