Kindbody was incredibly frustrating. Most providers were wonderful, but I had many problems with my egg retrieval, creating tremendous stress even before the added hormones. Although I lived out of state, they initially said they partnered with other hospitals/clinics so I would not need to drive back and forth for ultrasounds. Once I began the process and was ready for an ultrasound, I tried to schedule one and was told the facility no longer worked with Kindbody. I called the office, and they scrambled to find somewhere for the ultrasound, but because it was not a partner and was not covered by insurance, I paid $1,800 out of pocket. Going forward, I had to make a 3.5-hour round trip from Rhode Island to New York. Beyond the cost, this was incredibly stressful because I also worked night shifts. The providers were incredible during my retrieval; however, a follow-up provider called three hours before my scheduled appointment and never called back. The approach initially felt very comprehensive, but afterward it felt as though they had received their money and no longer needed me. Regarding financial transparency, the storage rate doubled from last year to this year. Be very careful and do your research before making such a serious decision about egg retrieval. I will never make this mistake again.

Update: Changed from 2 stars to 1 because the billing department keeps calling me. They harass me for payment, then disappear when I try to respond (at least 8 times?). It turns out they ‘did not apply my payment to the invoice’ and actually owe me nearly $500. Now that it is time for a refund, they have conveniently stopped responding. I am done—avoid at all costs. —————— Believe the positive reviews and believe the negative ones. Pros: 1. Most providers are very kind. You feel supported, and they make you comfortable during a very emotional and vulnerable process. 2. The offices are modern with warm, pleasant decor. They are much calmer than a typical sterile doctor's office. Cons: 1. I met my doctor only once, during the initial meeting. She rushed through a helpful presentation. It contained a lot of data that could help me decide, and when I asked for a copy, she said no. I could not find some of the information she discussed in any of their materials. 2. There is an important PDF detailing my medications. I received it only for my second retrieval, not my first, and thought, ‘This would have helped.’ 3. The online portal is helpful in theory. However, 3 items remain marked ‘to do’ even though I completed all of them. (My process began in April and it is now November.) Things I actually need to do end up nested beneath them. 4. The initial consultation cost $1,300. I was not told about the fee, and they sent an invoice 4 months after the consultation (by then I think I had completed 3 retrievals), so that was a pleasant little surprise. 5. The entire process is highly time-sensitive. Although their turnaround is quick, deadlines were still missed because it took several days to hear from someone. 6. There are two New York offices. Staff even told me retrievals are slower in summer. Yet despite having two offices, I often had only 1 available time slot for mandatory appointments. Once it was 7 a.m., and I had to wake at 3:45 a.m. to arrive on time. I understand fertility cannot be scheduled, but the lack of appointment options is shocking. If your work schedule is strict, this is not the place for you. 7. You must advocate for yourself. I was told an anesthesiologist would contact me, but no one did. Then I was told my nurse would contact me before my period to prepare me, but she never did. I finally asked, ‘My period is approaching—what do I need to do?’ She promised to contact my doctor but apparently forgot. Then my period began, and I had to scramble to start on time. I do not know whether the nurse had too many patients or mine was simply unreliable, but I never felt like a priority. 8. As mentioned, I completed several retrievals in a row. Each time my period came, they acted surprised and rushed to prepare in time. I even warned them that my period comes quickly, but every time was like Groundhog Day. 9. The billing team is a mess. Portal invoices do not match what you are charged. My last retrieval was two months ago, and I am still sorting it out. They claim I owe them money, but according to their invoices and the amounts taken from my account, they actually owe me money. 10. I had to correct several errors involving my insurance and coinsurance, and medication dosage information in my portal conflicted with the pre-procedure PDF they sent.

Kindbody is not kind at all! They are a scam; think twice. They will do everything possible to avoid paying benefits. They promise to call and respond but never do! Avoid them!

My egg-freezing journey at Kindbody was truly special. I felt supported and cared for by all the doctors, nurses, ultrasound technicians, and front desk teams at the 102 5th Avenue and 16 E 40th Street clinics in New York. Thank you all for joining me on this journey; it meant so much to me! Warm regards, Crystal

This location is beautiful, and everyone there is very kind and helpful. It feels very personal and not like a typical doctor's office.

They did not care about me or my needs at all, only my wallet. Once you begin the process, you are trapped with them. Their answers remain unclear until they send you a bill, where everything is suddenly very clear. Do your research. Go elsewhere. Their staff turnover is extremely high. Every few months, we had to deal with someone new because the people working there do not truly care about their jobs. I do not blame them; their organization is confusing. Imagine the level of care you receive from a group of people who are constantly learning their jobs and do not care about the work.

Although some of the doctors are wonderful—Dr. Seungdamrong is excellent—the office management and coordination need improvement. I had to follow up constantly about appointments, lab work, ultrasounds, and medications. I always had to contact them and remind them where I was in my cycle or treatment. They were never proactive in any way. Their financial office was terrible. I had billing and insurance problems that I ultimately resolved myself because they were incompetent. The best part was the nursing assistants and ultrasound technicians. They were kind and caring and made me feel that they knew me. I cannot say the same for the rest of the practice.

I would give zero stars if I could. This place is hell on earth. I did not feel safe once during the entire egg-retrieval process. Many times, no one even asked my name and date of birth for lab work, ultrasounds, and other procedures. I found an incorrect date of birth for me on the ultrasound machine. Staff communication was inconsistent, and education and support were lacking. I discovered that my trigger-shot instructions were incorrect and called the 24-hour hotline. The simple egg-retrieval process was so disorganized and chaotic that I was terrified of being placed under anesthesia. Do not go here. I transferred the retrieved eggs to a reputable facility to create embryos. I do not trust Kindbody.

I do not understand how they obtained their rating. They do not care about you and are difficult to work with. Other agencies and industry professionals know how bad they are; ask around. Remember, this is not a minor matter. You will not visit once or stay for only a few weeks—you will be stuck with them for a long time.

Run! I have never encountered such an unprofessional, disorganized, and thoroughly irresponsible medical team. From extremely chaotic billing and administration to irresponsible, high-risk procedures, stay away.

I cannot speak highly enough of my Kindbody experience! Although most appointments were at Flatiron, I went to Bryant Park for retrieval. I felt supported and cared for throughout. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member I met was genuinely warm and kind, which made a major difference during an overwhelming process—special thanks to Dr. Lipkin and Annalise. Everyone communicated well, answered questions proactively, and ensured I had the information and support I needed. I have no personal comparison, but several friends recently froze eggs and I watched many TikToks; I truly feel my Kindbody experience was the best!

I do not recommend Kindbody. In my experience, they care only about money, not patients. Be very cautious and understand everything thoroughly before choosing them. They have many hidden fees, and new charges seem to appear every week without ever having been clearly explained. Even when they tell you that you have insurance coverage, bills arrive later. This lack of transparency is extremely frustrating. Worse, these completely unnecessary pressures occur during the deeply personal and emotional process of trying to conceive. The journey is already stressful enough without surprise bills and financial confusion. Their accounts and billing team is especially poor. They tell you that you are insured and everything is covered, then reverse course and charge you anyway. It leaves you confused, frustrated, and exhausted. If you value clear communication, empathy, and honest billing, I strongly recommend choosing another provider. No one should face this pressure during such a sensitive time.

I had a poor experience at Kindbody and do not recommend it. I felt like a number on an assembly line, nearly every appointment was handled by an RN, I was overstimulated, and recovery was difficult. Kindbody later outsourced billing. I planned to use my eggs within a few months, but they charged a full year of storage. The third party said I would receive a prorated refund after using the eggs, but Kindbody refused to honor that commitment. Follow-up went nowhere. I am sharing my experience to help others decide. This happened several years ago, so perhaps they have improved, though other patient reviews suggest otherwise. Some services were convenient, including the user-friendly portal, nurse messaging, and modern offices. But quality of care matters most.

Convenient clinic if you are young with no form of complications and a very easy and simple fertility case. Definitely not equipped to handle anyone outside that description - not real doctors. This is a typical private equity machine akin to a med spa. Complete rip off - go to a real fertility doctor if you want actual results.

The Kindbody staff at Bryant Park and Flatiron are amazing! They were very attentive and made what could have been a stressful experience easy and pleasant. I always felt reassured knowing I was well cared for at every step. I highly recommend the Kindbody team in New York to anyone on a fertility journey!

My husband and I decided to seek care elsewhere. For months, Kindbody could not tell us the cost of the overall process or frozen embryos—and when they finally responded, they simply referred us to someone else. They scheduled testing for my husband but could not tell us in advance what the tests involved. I agree with another reviewer that the departments do not communicate. Getting answers was extremely difficult and time-consuming. My in-clinic testing and blood draws were fine, but the follow-up communication was terrible. We did not trust them enough to place our embryos in their care—they even told me they had mistakenly sent my medical records to another patient. This organization is extremely disorganized. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.

I recently went through egg freezing at Kindbody. Although there were some positives, overall the experience left me feeling overwhelmed. I want to share my honest experience because this is a deeply personal process, and I believe everyone deserves the right information to choose the clinic that best suits them. I gave 3 stars because everyone was kind, and I am grateful to have gone through and completed the process, but my experience was very bare-bones. I chose Kindbody because they work with my insurance and it was fully covered. If your insurance covers the service, I think it is worth considering. However, if you are paying out of pocket, I would hesitate to recommend them. Their costs may be lower than some other clinics, but the service does not feel tailored to the personal experience this process requires. It lacks a personal touch. Pros: The on-site care team, including the nurses, was lovely. They were friendly and professional, which helped ease my anxiety during examinations and throughout the process. When I became frightened, they agreed to give me my morning injections. Areas for improvement: Impersonal care: A major issue for me was the lack of personal care. My entire care team was virtual, and I only saw the doctor twice: once virtually before starting care and briefly after my first check-in. All communication was through portal messages, including sensitive updates such as being at risk of overstimulation, which felt distant and impersonal. During a process as emotionally and physically demanding as egg freezing, I expected more proactive communication and emotional support. Injection support: Although online resources with instructional videos were available, I found giving myself injections extremely stressful. I had to ask several times to meet a nurse in person for help with injections, and when it finally happened, it felt like an afterthought. Offering in-person help, or at least having a nurse check in and assist when needed, would be a major improvement. I had to figure most things out myself, adding unnecessary stress. During some virtual injection support, the nurses also used medical terms that an average person would not know. Again, it felt impersonal. Communication after retrieval: Communication essentially stopped after the retrieval. There were no clear instructions on what to do with excess medication or how to dispose of needles safely. My assigned nurse never followed up, and I had to wait for a member of the medical team to answer my questions. It felt as though my case was effectively closed once the retrieval was complete, with no additional guidance or support. Egg retrieval and immature eggs: One of the more disappointing aspects was how my immature eggs were handled. I was told that five eggs were not mature enough and had been discarded. I know other clinics my friends attended sometimes try culturing borderline eggs overnight to see whether they mature, but Kindbody did not do this or even discuss it with me. To be fair, I did not ask until they told me my egg count was five lower because five were immature. After asking and being told someone would get back to me two days ago, I still have not received a response. Conclusion: Kindbody provides the minimum level of fertility care. If your insurance covers it, I would consider it, especially if your case is straightforward, but I would not recommend it to anyone paying out of pocket. The lack of personal contact, limited communication, and generally impersonal experience made an already challenging process more stressful. Women undergoing fertility treatment deserve more emotional and practical support than Kindbody currently provides.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at KindBody. I was anxious about going through the process, but I am so glad I did it and followed through! The nurses, doctors, and staff guided me at every step. I was very nervous about many parts of the process, especially the injections and egg retrieval, but KindBody had plenty of clear resources that put me at ease throughout. My only feedback is that there was some confusion around appointments, billing, and their genetic testing partner, Natera, but I hope these issues will resolve over time. What mattered was that I felt safe and confident in my treatment plan, and I did. Thank you to the KindBody staff for guiding me through this journey!

We had an incredible journey with Kindbody. They not only supported us through an ectopic pregnancy but ultimately helped us conceive and welcome a beautiful baby girl. The staff was very kind and caring. We always felt supported and cared for and never judged. Highly recommend KB!

One of the worst medical experiences, especially since it's such long term process. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I really don't wanna stay with them but I'm pretty much trapped. Do your research. They don't care about me and only about my credit card

I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. In each cycle, we could stimulate only one follicle, meaning one egg. Therefore, it was essential for us to find a clinic that would not cancel our cycles because of a low follicle count. Before coming to Kindbody, we went to another highly rated clinic. Unfortunately, because I had only one follicle each time, the doctor repeatedly canceled our cycles. Worse, they never adjusted the medication or dosage—they simply repeated the same protocol and hoped for a different result. After the second canceled cycle, they told us we should consider donor eggs. I began to feel like nothing more than a number—a dollar sign. It was devastating. But Kindbody was different from day one. The staff genuinely cared about us. You are not treated like a statistic or a case file. People know you. Everyone remembers your name. Their support is genuine and personalized. My primary doctor at Kindbody, Dr. Cohen, listened carefully to us. We were very candid from the beginning—I told her that my body typically produced only one viable follicle. She told us clearly and confidently that as long as the follicle grew normally and my estrogen level rose appropriately, she would not cancel the cycle. That was it. She tailored the treatment plan to me and adjusted the dosage whenever something was not right. We ultimately completed several cycles, retrieving one egg in each. That was enough. When it was time for the transfer, my body began having problems. Rather than pushing ahead or giving up, Dr. Cohen paused treatment and monitored me closely. She waited until my body was truly ready, then timed the transfer perfectly. All I can say is that Kindbody is unlike other clinics. They never make you feel that something is wrong with you. Their compassion, patience, and dedication are unmatched. The nurses and staff—everyone—cheers you on. It took us more than a year to reach this point. Today, I am 13 weeks pregnant. Without Kindbody, we would not be here. After everything we had been through, I honestly did not think I had the courage to try again. But Kindbody supported me through that year, ultimately helping a new life begin. Thank you. Thank you for everything. You helped us build our family. You made the impossible possible. You are miracle workers. I will always be grateful—not only for everything you did for us, but for everything you do for every woman who walks through your doors hoping for success. Infertility is one of the most difficult journeys anyone can experience. But your care, attitude, and approach make it a little easier to bear. For that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Do yourself a favor and avoid them. Search Google. There are many warning signs. Many people in the field have told me they are terrible as well. They care only about your money, not you or your family. They do poor work.

Run! I have never encountered such an unprofessional, disorganized, and thoroughly irresponsible medical team. From extremely chaotic billing and administration to irresponsible, high-risk procedures performed with almost no review of the medical record, do not come here. There are much better fertility clinics available.

I truly do not know where to begin. No matter how prepared you think you are, in vitro fertilization (IVF) is a stressful, heartbreaking, and demanding process. The New York Kindbody team at both the Flatiron and Bryant Park locations was exceptionally kind, compassionate, and genuine. Throughout the process, I felt completely supported, as though I had a personal cheerleading team beside me through every high and low—and believe me, there were many! Dr. Seungdamrong is an absolute genius. She is not only deeply knowledgeable but also calm, kind, and empathetic, making you feel both well informed and reassured. She guided us through the entire process, helped us understand our options, and supported us in making informed decisions during a confusing and unpredictable experience. She and her team played an essential role in helping my husband and me bring our son into the world, and we cannot thank them enough! The decision to pursue IVF is not one to take lightly, but the Kindbody team supported me completely throughout.

I am almost 30, and the thought of starting a family has always made me anxious. Over the past year and a half, I have had two fertility consultations at KindBody. Today's consultation focused mainly on egg freezing. The moment I entered the office, I felt completely at ease. From the front desk and ultrasound technician to the nurse who drew my blood and the nurse practitioner who carefully reviewed my information while answering my 2397248261 questions, everyone went above and beyond to guide and reassure me, and even made it fun (including custom Nike shoes!). I will continue to highly recommend KindBody to other women in similar situations and look forward to working with them going forward.

The Kindbody Flatiron clinic is beautiful and peaceful, with a very kind team. From the moment I entered, I felt warmly welcomed and supported. Everyone, from the front desk to the clinical staff, was warm, professional, and understanding of the emotional impact of fertility and health care. The clinic itself feels warm and comfortable, making what could be a daunting visit relaxing and positive.

I cannot speak highly enough of the Kindbody team in New York's Flatiron District. The front desk team is always welcoming, attentive, and helpful. Lissette and Everlynd are excellent nurses/sonographers. They are attentive and helpful, always make me feel comfortable, and are always willing to listen. Great team!! Thank you so much, Krystle

Just finished my first egg retrieval! Overall a great experience with Kindbody. Clean facilities, doctors were responsive via the portal, and the medication instructions & pricing were very clear & transparent. I did have a few billing issues which were sorted out after I sent some inquiries -- but that is in no part reflective of the great care that I received from the doctors, medical team and ppl on-site. Thank you Kindbody for making fertility not so scary... and for giving me a choice over my body.

I went to the Flat Iron clinic and met Abby Fernandez. She was warm, knowledgeable, very helpful, and supportive. I highly recommend her.

KindBody's billing practices are completely negligent and unethical. Do not come to this clinic. They take advantage of vulnerable women, pressuring them to commit to treatment and pay quickly. Once your prepaid treatment is complete, they try to charge you again because their billing department fails to apply your prepayment to the services provided. They tried to charge me over $1,000 more when they actually owed me over $600. When they audited my account—after ignoring my portal messages for months and forcing me to call to request it—they discovered this and locked the account. Believe all the one-star reviews. I wish I had...
    Oct 31, 2025
Beware of predatory billing! Their billing practices are practically criminal. They target women when they are most vulnerable. You cannot reach anyone in billing, question their decisions, or get an explanation. The industry standard for embryo testing is to prepay for up to 10 embryos and receive a refund for unused testing. They did not tell me until the middle of my cycle that they issue no refunds—what can you do at that point? This should be prohibited. They blamed the lab, but when I asked to use another lab, they refused. They also refused to identify the lab so I could call and negotiate directly. They still have not provided a lab invoice as evidence. This is a complete scam. Stay away!

I hate to give this review but their billing department is completely awful. Their nurses, doctors and techs are amazing - 5 stars. But similar to others.. i would go elsewhere unless you want to spend months (yes months) dealing with their awful payment team!!

I do not recommend Kindbody. In my experience, they do not care about patients, only money. Be very cautious and make sure you understand everything before choosing them. There are many hidden fees, and it seems that a new charge appears every week without having been clearly disclosed beforehand. Even if they tell you that you have insurance coverage, bills still arrive later. This lack of transparency is extremely frustrating. Worse, while going through such a personal and emotional fertility journey, you must also endure this completely unnecessary stress. Trying to conceive is already stressful enough without unexpected bills and financial confusion. Their accounts and billing team is especially poor. They tell you that you are covered and everything is included, then reverse course and charge you anyway. It leaves you confused, frustrated, and exhausted. If you value clear communication, compassion, and honest billing, I strongly recommend choosing another provider. No one should have to endure this kind of stress during such a sensitive time.

Do not be misled by the polished website and attractive offices. Like many fertility clinics, this practice is made up of departments that do not communicate with one another and prioritize administrative efficiency over patient-centered care. At my initial consultation, they told me they would submit prior authorization once my lab results and follicle count were available. Instead, they refused and delayed for three weeks because "many insurance plans change in the new year." I could provide proof that my plan was not changing and that my benefits would not be affected by the new year. They then claimed, "Aetna does not allow us to submit until January," which was simply untrue. After repeated follow-up, they finally admitted, "This is actually our internal policy. We generally need to reverify benefits before prior authorization, so we do not submit in December." Then do not present yourselves as a patient-centered, high-standard clinic while applying general insurance assumptions over a patient's actual circumstances. I understand that many people have plan changes on January 1, but I had documentation showing that this did not apply to me. Their response was essentially that policy is policy and they were unconcerned that my cycle would be delayed by a month or two. We needed to submit two prior authorizations, and they cared only about saving time and following their own policy, not speed or the patient's specific needs. What a "wonderful" start!
    Dec 26, 2025
This review concerns their billing department. I had testing in 2023 and did not undergo any procedures because of the mixed reviews. It is now December 2025, and I have only just received new bills. They need to get organized—it is a complete mess. I would not entrust them with your body, fertility, or finances.
    Jan 20, 2026
To be clear, this review is not about the staff or the care I received. The service itself went smoothly, and everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and helpful. My one-star rating is entirely because of what happened afterward. Nearly a year later, I began repeatedly receiving texts and emails claiming I owed money for services I had already paid for in full. I checked my records, confirmed payment, and contacted Kindbody. They said it was a system error and assured me the notifications would stop. They did not. Over the past several months, despite repeated follow-ups and repeated assurances that the issue was resolved, I have received at least 20 additional payment notices—without exaggeration. I tried again to resolve it last week, yet today alone I received three more messages. At this point, the experience feels careless at best and suspicious at worst. It has been frustrating, time-consuming, and deeply disappointing. Because of these ongoing billing problems, I can no longer recommend Kindbody.

I am deeply disappointed by this clinic’s misleading marketing and billing. It advertises a service at a price that is not actually available. This bait-and-switch practice is troubling, especially in women’s healthcare, where trust and transparency are essential.

I called this company to discuss my friend's situation, and they said they would arrange an online consultation. I missed it because of a death in my family. A week later, I continued to receive bills. I never spoke with or met anyone. They did not even tell me whether missing a scheduled consultation would incur additional fees. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I found another company that does not charge if you do not meet or speak with anyone. Keep in mind that this company already had my insurance information. Again, this inquiry was for a friend, not for me. Compare your options carefully before choosing this company.

Dr. Aimee gave me my son. She never gave up on me over three years. She fought the insurance company for me. She also has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have met. I trust her completely and will never forget the gift she gave me: my baby boy.

I was Dr. Seungdamrong's patient, and when she diagnosed me with endometriosis, she said I needed laparoscopic surgery to confirm and remove it. I did extensive research, and it was clear that the only way to remove endometriosis was through wide excision. In the weeks before surgery, I spoke with her repeatedly and said I would only let her operate using wide excision, a procedure requiring significant skill. She assured me she would. On the day of surgery, I saw paperwork stating that she would perform ablation, a technique that does not successfully remove endometriosis. I confronted her, and she said it was an error that would be corrected. After surgery, she said she had performed ablation because the endometriosis was in a difficult location. Not only did she misrepresent the technique she would use so she could be paid, but she also left a large amount of endometriosis inside me because of its delicate location, saying she was afraid to operate there. If you do not know what you are doing and are afraid, why operate at all?! I am devastated—beyond upset! After two weeks of bed rest and recovery, the pain and all my symptoms returned two months later. How many more surgeries will I need before I find a doctor capable of admitting they lack the skills and who genuinely wants the best for me and can help me? Shame on Dr. Seungdamrong! Do not let her persuade you to have surgery with her!
