Dr. Maureen Moomjy, United States

Maureen Moomjy, MD, FACOG, has provided expert, comprehensive, and compassionate fertility, gynecologic, and reproductive care for more than 20 years on the Upper East Side near Midtown Manhattan. She offers fertility services including ovulation induction and timed intrauterine insemination (IUI), and partners with the NYU Fertility Center to provide in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), egg freezing, preimplantation genetic testing (PGD/PGS/PGT), and donor-egg IVF.

She also regularly performs gynecologic and reproductive surgery and guides patients through hormonal evaluation and treatment options.

Dr. Moomjy completed her OB/GYN residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in reproductive medicine and infertility at New York Hospital-Cornell. She earned her research-focused medical degree with honors from SUNY Downstate and a master's degree in developmental disabilities from New York University.

Dr. Moomjy has been in private practice in New York City since 2000, initially at Madison Women's Health and Fertility, a full-service gynecology, infertility, and reproductive endocrinology practice, and now at Maureen Moomjy PC, a highly private, attentive, and specialized fertility and gynecology practice. Before private practice, she was an attending physician at Cornell University's Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility IVF program, where she performed egg retrievals, embryo transfers, gynecologic and reproductive surgery, and expanded the center's donor-egg IVF program.

She maintains surgical privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and regularly performs hysteroscopic surgery for polyps, fibroids, septa, and adhesions, as well as laparoscopic surgery for tubal disease when needed. Dr. Moomjy remains committed to providing fertility and reproductive services to all women and has overseen fertility care for patients from underserved communities for 20 years.

Dr. Moomjy recognizes that fertility and hormonal abnormalities can place tremendous stress on patients, who often consult several physicians in search of treatment. Her philosophy is that successful outcomes are often achieved through dedication, perseverance, and medical expertise.

As part of the NYU Fertility Center team, Dr. Moomjy can provide comprehensive medical preparation for IVF, donor eggs, and egg freezing, while all patients receive embryology services from a center that has remained at the forefront of reproductive technology for the past 2 years.
