Dr. George Kovalevsky, United States
Dr. George Kovalevsky, United States
"I am delighted to return and help the people of Delaware. After working at some of the country's leading infertility centers, I learned a great deal about the science of infertility. I also learned where I could practice medicine at the highest level and truly enjoy my work. I look forward to helping you pursue your reproductive goals."
Dr. Kovalevsky specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Born in Ukraine, he came to the United States as a child. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University in Rhode Island, then earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. He trained in obstetrics and gynecology at The Ohio State University in Columbus and completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he also trained in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics.
Dr. Kovalevsky's first position after training was at the Jones Institute in Virginia, where the first IVF pregnancy in the United States was achieved. There he focused on clinical research and academic work. He then practiced in Delaware for 13 years, helping hundreds of infertility patients. He later moved to Boston and practiced for 4 years at Harvard Vanguard and Boston IVF. He has now returned to the Delaware Valley and plans to stay.
Alongside his clinical work, he has continued conducting research and teaching medical students and residents. He is experienced in all areas of reproductive endocrinology, including assisted reproductive technology and operative hysteroscopy.
Outside work, he enjoys exercise, reading, playing board games with his family, and watching television.
