Dr. Seli says the most exciting part of his work is combining biomedical research with advances in the field of infertility, including personalized medicine. “The first baby born through IVF (in vitro fertilization) is not even 40 years old,” he notes. “Since then, we have learned how to freeze embryos, eggs and perform diagnostic procedures in the embryo. Every day, a new experimental procedure is being offered to women and men with infertility.”
