Dr. Kirsten Sasaki, United States
Dr. Kirsten Sasaki is a gynecologic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She practices privately in metropolitan Chicago with Dr. Charles E. Miller, Dr. Laurence Jacobs, and Dr. Molly McKenna.
After completing her residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, she was accepted into an AAGL fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. AAGL is the world’s largest organization for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Under Dr. Miller’s guidance, she completed fellowship training at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. During the two-year fellowship, Dr. Sasaki trained with surgeons specializing in general gynecology, reproductive endocrinology, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology.
Dr. Sasaki is active in medical research, has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and presented at national conferences.
Her current research interests include reducing and managing postoperative pain, teaching robotic-assisted surgery, bleeding rates after laparoscopic hysterectomy, and laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Dr. Sasaki takes pride in excellent patient care and has received numerous awards for compassionate medical care. She treats patients as friends, listening empathetically to their symptoms and explaining diagnoses and treatment options in clear language. She uses visual aids such as drawings and written summaries of discussions to help patients feel more comfortable.
Dr. Sasaki also understands that surgery can feel intimidating and that anxiety is normal. She calmly reassures patients that she is not nervous because she performs surgery almost every day.
Dr. Sasaki is accepting new patients in Naperville and Park Ridge for comprehensive gynecologic care and examinations and is a sought-after referral surgeon for minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
