Dr. Martin Bastuba is the founder and medical director of Male Fertility & Sexual Medicine Specialists in San Diego, California. He is among an elite group (2%) of board-certified American urologists specializing in treatments and procedures related to male fertility. He also completed advanced training in male sexual dysfunction, making him highly qualified in male fertility and enabling him to provide specialized medical care for male reproductive health.

Dr. Bastuba was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Wayne State University for college and medical school, then completed general urology training at Emory University-affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Bastuba was the first resident ever accepted into Boston University School of Medicine's distinguished combined fellowship in male fertility and sexual dysfunction. After graduation, he brought his specialized training in male fertility to Southern California and opened his practice in 1993.

Dr. Bastuba is certified by the American Board of Urology. He has received numerous academic achievement awards, frequently serves as a guest lecturer, attends many conferences, and is currently a clinical instructor in urology at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He has published and participated in multiple studies in male fertility and serves as a consulting medical expert for local and national television.

Dr. Bastuba is a professional member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, California Medical Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Peyronie's Advocates Association, Oncofertility Consortium at Northwestern Medicine, and Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. He has served as president of the San Diego Reproductive Endocrinology Society and the San Diego Urological Society. He also actively gives back through Angels Foster Family Network, Fertile Hope, Volunteers of America: San Diego, and other Southern California nonprofits.
