My wife and I are extremely grateful to have found Dr. Wood and Gen5 Fertility. Our journey began less than a year ago when we first entered Gen 5. After our initial consultation, we both agreed that Dr. Wood would be our fertility doctor. There was no pressure during the consultation. We clearly understood Gen5's role, what Dr. Wood considered a good starting point for us, and the costs. If you have not met Dr. Wood, he is no ordinary fertility specialist. He has long been at the forefront of the field, and people travel from across the United States and beyond for his care. We are fortunate to have someone so talented in our city. Before the consultation, my wife was unsure about seeing a male doctor, but those concerns disappeared as soon as we met him. Beyond being highly capable, he has a calm, reassuring presence that made the process easier. Our coordinators Chloe and Jasmin were also outstanding. They were always approachable, thoughtful, and thorough in communication. Both helped with everything from demonstrating injections—yes, there are shots, and no, they are not that bad—to answering questions between appointments. We completed one full IVF cycle with Gen 5. Dr. Wood reviewed all our laboratory results and personally performed scans and ultrasounds before and during the cycle, tailoring the stimulation and medication protocol to our needs. Our first and only retrieval went smoothly and produced several PGT-tested euploid embryos. Soon afterward, our first FET resulted in pregnancy! The baby has continued growing since we graduated from Gen5 and looked wonderful at this week's 20-week anatomy scan. Words cannot express our gratitude to Dr. Wood, Dr. Adams, our embryologist, coordinators Chloe and Jasmin, and the entire Gen5 team for their exceptional care. TLDR: We are having a baby! Arrange a consultation with Dr. Wood, and you will understand why we chose Gen5 to help build our family.

I do not recommend this place if you want to become a surrogate. I completed two journeys with them because my first was lovely and the intended parents were wonderful. After my first journey in 2021, they called three times asking whether I would do another. In 2022, I agreed to help intended parents who needed me. Everything seemed fine until I was two months pregnant and met Rachel and Michelle about insurance. I was told the intended parents did not want to buy me a policy. At two months pregnant, I could not turn back or terminate the pregnancy. Michelle and Rachel told me to use self-pay for all maternity care and assured me the intended parents had money and would pay. In May 2023, I delivered a healthy, beautiful boy for the intended parents, and his mother was delighted. By June 2023, I was told they could not pay my medical expenses. Their son is now over a year old, and I have about $50,000 in debt and am considering bankruptcy because of this agency. They failed in their duty to protect me as a surrogate and continue to stand by. When I spoke with Michelle, she replied, 'What do you want me to do? There is nothing I can do.' This cold response destroyed my trust in an agency that should have protected me from unfair treatment. Litigation attorneys said they could do nothing because the intended parents cannot be sued due to their location. Stay away from this agency. They do not care for their surrogates and may leave you with damaged credit and large medical debts that are not yours. I have depression and constant stress from this outcome, which has affected every part of my life. I planned to buy a home for my family this year but can no longer do so because of the debt. Creditors have harassed me, and I keep a large volume of mail as evidence of the agency's negligence.

I am a proud egg donor with Gen5 Fertility. My team—Fionna, Fan, Alicia, Bibi, and others—made my first journey memorable and smooth. Everyone communicated well, was helpful and trustworthy, and went above and beyond. Dr. Wood is exceptional, with a gracious bedside manner, and I was happy to place my trust in him. The office is on a beautiful hilltop. The waiting room has refreshments and snacks, and the receptionist is kind. The office feels like a family, making the space comfortable and welcoming. I am proud to say that I will donate again with my excellent Gen5 + YourEggs team. I recommend them to anyone wishing to give the precious gift of life and anyone seeking a fertility practice. Thank you to everyone who worked with me! It is amazing that we can change lives and help create new life!

After four long years trying to conceive and five unsuccessful IVF cycles at clinics across San Diego, my husband and I had nearly lost hope. We spent over $100,000 on treatment and felt deeply discouraged. Then we turned to Dr. Wood at Gen 5 Fertility Center, a decision that changed our lives. Our past experiences made us skeptical, but Dr. Wood's optimism and the center's advanced approach gave us hope. Unlike before, he introduced a more advanced protocol tailored specifically to us. This personalized care was refreshing. Our outstanding coordinator Jasmine greatly improved our Gen 5 journey. She and Dr. Wood were extremely supportive throughout, always answering questions, providing reassurance, spending ample time with us at each visit, and following up thoroughly. Dr. Wood's protocol made all the difference. After one retrieval, we were delighted to have two healthy embryos. We transferred both and are thrilled to announce that we are pregnant with twins! This miracle happened in one cycle at Gen 5, in sharp contrast with our previous ordeal. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Wood and the Gen 5 team. They gave us exceptional medical care, emotional support, and hope. We are fortunate to be expecting twins thanks to their outstanding care. For anyone struggling with infertility, I strongly recommend starting at Gen 5 Fertility Center. Contact Dr. Wood and save the time, money, and emotional burden of exploring other options. Our experience demonstrates the center's outstanding service and fertility expertise. We are profoundly grateful and excited for this new chapter!

It took me several months to find the courage to write this review. My husband and I decided to pursue IVF. I did my research, and this clinic ranked highly in my search, with nearly perfect ratings. Because there were very few alarming negative reviews, I chose this clinic. I began in June 2023, and the process dragged on until February 7, 2024—about 6 months and 7 days of emotional exhaustion. When I started working with them, they said it would take no more than 3-4 months! This was my experience: 1- Staff: They do not care, and I am not exaggerating. They do not check on you to ensure that you are doing well. They are constantly defensive, and if you ask for more clarification about what is happening to your body or during the process, they respond defensively. I felt that they hated being asked too many questions. I had a long conversation with one employee, Kanan, who then suddenly became friendly and sent a few emails. Chloe was assigned as my medical coordinator, and that is where my experience deteriorated rapidly. I am not joking: after I began working with her, my excitement quickly fell from 10 to -10. She ignored my emotional/personal needs, gave cold, brief answers, never spoke during doctor visits, and was always defensive when I asked questions. Once, I wanted to confirm some information, but she kept giving me short answers. I ultimately felt that I had to ask the doctor whether questions were prohibited or whether anything could be clarified! Once, I had to call her out in front of the doctor and say, “May I ask questions and receive clarification?” Her expression changed immediately. Does the clinic provide customer-service training before assigning employees to patients? I am not sure, because that was not my experience with Chloe. She was the reason I felt stressed and constantly ignored. In my view, she never once remembered that this was my first IVF cycle, that I was nervous and under tremendous stress, and that I needed care, guidance, and compassion. I told her that I was not a medical professional and needed to ask questions and make sure I understood the entire process. Again, she remained passive-aggressive. I complained to Kanan, but she did not resolve the issue. I paid for this and am still paying the price for a terrible experience. It was not worth the money at all! 2- Staff member 2: transfer coordinator Jassmin. After the prolonged poor experience with Chloe, I worked with Jassmen. For me, she was not much of an improvement. Jassmin was very stern and showed no emotion. I understand the idea that “I am a medical professional and need to be clear and direct,” but this is not military boot camp. Some compassion and care would be appreciated, as would occasionally checking on a patient by asking, “How are you? Are you adjusting to your medication?” But I was not an international client waving cash in front of them. I was a modest local employee trying to become a mother, which apparently was not very exciting to them. I saw the care they gave international patients; they should do better at providing equal customer service. 3- Dr. Wood did not seem to care at all about how I was doing. At every appointment, he would say, “Things look good. See you next time!” I had to ask questions to get more information. When I asked how things looked, he said everything looked good. When he said there was an 80% chance of success, I was excited and shared all the positive feedback with my family. It gave me hope! He said he expected to retrieve 6-7 eggs, but he retrieved only 3! I wondered what happened to the 6-7 he had seen the previous day. He gives false hope! Transfer day was a major day for me, and I was excited. Then it failed, and they went silent. I emailed to express my dissatisfaction. They assured me they would address it, but months passed and nothing happened. I believe there are better clinics elsewhere.

If anyone asked my wife and me whom we recommend for fertility care in San Diego, we would 100% recommend Gen5 Fertility. Our years-long infertility journey began at another clinic in San Diego. This matters because I am not sure how we would view our Gen5 experience without first experiencing that clinic. At the first clinic, we met a doctor only once, after being rescheduled twice, and he never remembered us or anything in our small patient file. Across more than 3 IUIs, we never saw the same care provider, and worst of all, a different person always called to say the procedure had failed. The process was determined by the service purchased. With IUI, you received a single dose, with no follow-up, blood tests, or adjustments along the way. As IVF became increasingly necessary, we had to decide whether to remain with an impersonal, high-volume clinic, presumably backed by venture capital or private equity and focused on growth, or find someone else. Switching to Dr. Wood and Gen5 may have saved my wife's life. Gen5 operates 100% through Dr. Wood, which seems to be a deliberate decision about quality of care. My wife said that from the first appointment, both the bedside manner and evident expertise made her feel much better cared for. The value of this level of care became clear during stimulation, when my wife's estradiol rose extremely high, to 4 times the normal level. This prompted a rapid change in care that appeared to prevent life-threatening OHSS while allowing egg retrieval to proceed. Even with the adjustment, we encountered complications requiring an emergency visit the next morning, and we could not help wondering what would have happened at the first clinic. Ultimately, this level of care mattered most to us. It is a real decision because there are drawbacks. Appointments can take a long time, often an hour or more, probably because Dr. Wood sees everyone. When my wife and I needed our emergency appointment the next day, everyone else's appointments were delayed by 30 minutes. Gen5 is not the least expensive option, but we believe it provides good value. IUI costs about 2-3 times what it did at our first clinic. A comparable IVF package at Gen5 costs 20-30% more. However, that price includes real follow-up, blood tests, and adjustments to care. Had we not attended another clinic first, these time and financial costs might have shaped our view of Gen5 differently. After learning what care elsewhere was like, we cared less about time and money and more about how poor fertility treatment in San Diego might be without Dr. Wood and the Gen5 team. The team also matters. We are extremely grateful to our dedicated coordinators, Yuzi, Jasmin, and Vinny. We never worried about sending an email at midnight. We have now graduated from the clinic and are happily expecting our first child. We will return in a few years!

These people are truly terrible. I was a donor, and after agreeing that I had no financial responsibility, they continued sending bills to an address where I had specifically told them not to send anything. Later, I asked them to discard my frozen samples. This took a long time, and they hung up on me several times. They finally said they had done so, but later contacted me to say my samples had not been discarded. They lied and also told me I had no right to dispose of my own sperm. Do not do business with these people. There is something very dark happening there—a human slave market. I would not trust them with anything. Do not go here or deal with these people.

We had a wonderful experience with Gen 5 Fertility. We initially debated IVF in Asia or the United States, but after extensive research chose Gen 5 Fertility in San Diego. I first contacted the clinic without success, but eventually received an email from overseas coordinator Fan Yang. I explained our plans, and the next day she arranged a video consultation with Dr. Wood despite the large time difference from Indonesia. Dr. Wood was reassuring and understanding. We wanted to start quickly, and after the consultation another coordinator contacted us about finances, the start date, and schedule. We completed 2 IVF cycles and 1 FET and are now successfully pregnant with twins! Medication instructions were clear, and we received a calendar. Our IVF coordinator, Angelina Gibbons, was wonderful. Thank you, Angie! I was nervous before retrieval after reading that many women felt unwell afterward, but fortunately I had no discomfort during or after. Dr. Samuel Wood was amazing. Our first IVF round did not meet expectations because we wanted PGT-tested embryos, so a second round made sense and yielded several tested embryos. At transfer, we were excited that the IVF portion was complete. My husband, the nurse, and Dr. Wood were in the room, and we watched 2 embryos placed on the screen—an emotional moment. I initially felt uncomfortable before transfer, but Dr. Wood adjusted immediately and I was comfortable afterward. Receptionist Jasel kindly gave us flowers for luck, which we appreciated :) They made me smile whenever I saw them after transfer. Our main FET coordinators, Jasmine and Manasvini, were angels beside us at every step. They were easy to reach by phone or email whenever we had questions. We are very grateful that 1 FET achieved pregnancy. Everyone at Gen 5 was kind and helpful. Thank you to every nurse who drew my blood and assisted me; you made our IVF journey joyful :) At my final scan before leaving Gen 5, Fan Yang joined us. It was our last day at the clinic and felt very special and enjoyable. Thank you again to everyone at Gen 5 for our successful fertility journey!

I just want to say this is my second time as a surrogate with Gen 5. Denise is a wonderful partner who helped me greatly the second time. Having her beside me made the whole process much less stressful, so I did not feel alone.

This is only one of many reviews I will leave. Our journey to have a child began in May and continues. I had my first retrieval in July and have returned for a second. I adore everyone, but want to recognize Cynthia for welcoming me so warmly the second time. She made everything fun and lively.

Dr. Wood and his staff are the best! From the first meeting through every step, the Gen 5 team was exceptional. I felt comfortable, cared for, and most importantly, given so much hope. The facility is very clean and worth visiting. All staff are professional and kind. Choosing Gen 5 for my fertility journey was the best decision I made. Thank you!!

This is my fourth fertility clinic and by far the best. My only regret is not coming to Gen 5 sooner. Dr. Wood is very knowledgeable and passionate about helping his patients. The staff are wonderful and always friendly and helpful. My coordinator promptly answered any questions I had. I am also glad I could see Dr. Wood at my appointments. I truly appreciate everything they have done for me and my family's future.

Dr. Wood and his staff are very friendly and professional. Nurse Cindy is always available to answer any questions or concerns I have, which is very reassuring. I am glad I chose Gen5 for my surrogacy journey. My project manager Denise is amazing! She made sure everything went smoothly from transfer day through recovery. I love her and her personality!

I was already 39 when I had my consultation in January. I had my egg retrieval in March and my embryo transfer in July. I paid for 1 round of IVF and am currently 16 weeks pregnant. I chose Dr. Samuel Wood and Gen 5 Fertility Center because I had just moved to San Diego and had seen him on the Kardashians' show. My impression from the show was that, given their resources, Dr. Wood was the best IVF doctor in the area. He did more than standard IVF and took a more comprehensive, innovative approach. Dr. Samuel Wood attended all my ultrasound appointments and performed the egg retrieval and embryo transfer. I appreciate his personality and humor. He is positive and charismatic. He often asks me questions and has me guess the answers to see whether I have followed the information he gave me. I can tell he genuinely wants every patient to become a parent. He does everything with precision and strives for perfection. Other doctors made me feel that my anatomy was abnormal and might be the cause of infertility. Dr. Wood assured me that everything was fine. The more capable you are, the fewer mistakes you make and the less you need to blame the patient. My FET coordinators were Vinny and Jasmin. I could email them at any time, although I generally stayed within business hours. I always received prompt and thoughtful responses. They gave me great comfort, and I was glad to have them involved throughout the process. They shared your hope and happiness at every step. Considering my severe fear of blood tests and needles, my entire experience was wonderful. I eventually managed to give myself all the injections at home. All blood tests were performed at the fertility center, and the technicians drawing blood were excellent. I would undergo IVF at Gen 5 Fertility Center again, and I hope to do so soon.

So far, I have had a very positive experience! Denise has been extremely helpful and supportive and always answers my questions quickly. My clinic coordinator, Veronica, also provides detailed and useful information in her emails. Although some of the other staff seem busy, they are all kind and friendly. I look forward to continuing my journey and will be happy to update my rating when it is complete! 👶🏻

I highly recommend Gen 5 Fertility. I was nervous at first, but Dr. Wood is an excellent doctor. He is very attentive and did his utmost to help me achieve the best outcome. I had no discomfort after the procedure! Special thanks to Cleo for being so kind and professional. I believe they are very trustworthy.

This is a wonderful clinic. Cindy, Veronica, Dr. Wood, and the other staff are very helpful, friendly, patient, and provide an excellent support system. Cindy held my hand during the procedure while Veronica assisted the doctor. Appointments were quick. I also loved Denise, who guided me through the entire appointment experience, checked on me afterward, and stayed with me to ensure everything was perfect.

IVF does not have to be mass-produced, and this place truly works. Before finding Gen 5, I had 4 failed IVF cycles over 2 years at 2 top New York City clinics. I was only 29 when I started, but soon learned I had premature ovarian insufficiency and extremely low AMH. The experience was devastating and traumatic. We could not obtain any high-quality, genetically normal embryos from all 4 cycles. We had an initial consultation with Gen 5 because we were curious, though skeptical, about ovarian rejuvenation and mini-IVF protocols. This was our final attempt before giving up on having a child. I still remember Dr. Wood saying during our first call that he was confident he could help us, even though I had no confidence left. That call was in early 2022. After 3 trips to San Diego, we had one 4AA and two 4AB embryos. Fast-forward to today: my baby girl turned one a week ago. We are incredibly grateful. I only wish I had found Gen 5 sooner. Dr. Wood was always there for us, including through the procedures. For difficult cases like mine, the standard East Coast protocol—high doses, switching to similar medications, and starting another cycle—did not work. You should consider this clinic.

Gen 5 helped coordinate my surrogacy journey! The clinic is very clean and professional, and the staff are extremely helpful! Denise has helped me tremendously with everything, and I am very grateful for all she has done for me and the other surrogates!

Cindy is an outstanding coordinator. She is attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and very professional. She answered all my questions and found solutions to any issues I had. The clinic is very clean, and the staff are welcoming and genuine. Denise makes you feel loved from the moment you meet her. Throughout my journey, she never made me feel that I was doing this alone. I will always be grateful to my coordinator. Dr. Woods is wonderful and makes you feel comfortable and confident in your decision. He also keeps you 100% informed about every procedure. GEN 5 will always be my favorite clinic.

Cindy is absolutely the best. I am very grateful that she served as my coordinator twice. She is always available to answer questions and help me feel comfortable. Rosalia is wonderful and always very welcoming and attentive. Every doctor's appointment features excellent staff and high-quality customer service. This office has a wonderful sense of community, and everyone is very caring and attentive toward patients. I always leave feeling as though I visited friends.

I had an amazing experience at Gen 5 Fertility Center! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and welcoming it was. Denise was truly incredible—her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. She went above and beyond to answer my questions and guide me through the entire process, ensuring I felt comfortable at every step. I could not have asked for a better team to support me on this journey!

In my experience, Gen5 and Dr. Wood are primarily motivated by money. When everything goes smoothly and treatment produces positive results, you receive attention and care. However, if complications arise and extra effort is required, it simply does not happen. Despite claiming to provide personalized care, their approach is completely one-size-fits-all. Treatment-plan emails are clearly copied-and-pasted templates, sometimes sent without key details being updated. I repeatedly found multiple errors in my treatment plans. Nothing about the process felt customized, and if you sit in the blood-draw area long enough, you notice every patient follows the same pattern. The front desk staff always seem unhappy and unwilling to help. As a patient, you already feel nervous and afraid, and the first person you encounter makes it clear they do not want to be there. Every staff member we encountered had the same indifferent attitude. Dr. Wood was unable—or unwilling—to help us. After our first failed cycle, when none of our embryos reached the blastocyst stage, he made no effort to determine why. He simply said, ‘Sometimes we just do not know why these things happen.’ It felt as if he had not thoroughly analyzed our bloodwork or investigated possible underlying problems, even though he knew we had only two chances to make this work. His ego was apparent. When we scheduled a follow-up to discuss changes for the second cycle, he actually began standing up from the table while we were still talking and told us he had another patient to see. We received more scientific insight from the embryologist than from him. Neither cycle succeeded. When they informed us by email that the second retrieval was unsuccessful—it was never Dr. Wood, always only the coordinator—the message included an apology immediately followed by, ‘Let me know if you would like me to contact financing for another cycle.’ Unbelievable. They also force you to use an app that serves no practical purpose. The scheduling information is identical to what they email, and it does not even provide blood-test results. It is an unnecessary extra step and a waste of time. I also want to address something in another Yelp review. A user named Abbey said Dr. Wood performed an examination without gloves, and the clinic responded defensively that he would ‘never’ do that. I believe her 100%, because he did the same to me during an ultrasound while clinic director Khadija was in the room. My husband and I still discuss how shocking it was, and I regret not asking him to wear gloves. Overall, the clinic puts profit above patient care. If you want truly personalized treatment from a doctor invested in your success, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. *If anyone is interested, I am completely transparent and willing to support all feedback with details.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to Dr. Wood and the Gen 5 team. After five years of uncertainty and emotional ups and downs, including four rounds of IVF at another clinic, we finally found hope and results here. Thanks to their expertise, care, and steadfast support, we are now proud parents of a beautiful baby. Our lives have changed forever.

I had a wonderful egg donation experience at Gen 5. The entire team was extremely supportive, and every detail was explained thoroughly and clearly. Throughout the process, I felt safe, respected, and genuinely valued. It was a very special journey, and I am grateful to have contributed to something that can bring hope to families. Thank you to Dr. Wood and Cleo for making the experience so smooth and meaningful. 💛

Working with the clinic through Great Beginnings Surrogacy was one of the most encouraging and positive parts of my surrogacy journey. From the moment I entered, I was struck by how beautiful, clean, and welcoming the clinic was. It immediately put me at ease and set the tone for the care I would receive. The front desk team was wonderful—always warm, friendly, and efficient. They welcomed you with a smile and made you feel like more than just a name on a chart. The nursing staff were equally exceptional—kind, attentive, and compassionate. You can tell they love their work and genuinely care about each patient's well-being and comfort. And then there is Dr. Wood—where do I begin? His compassion, knowledge, and dedication are unmatched. He takes time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, and his calm, reassuring manner made an enormous difference to my experience. He is the kind of doctor who treats you as a partner in your care. Most importantly, he has a wonderful sense of humor and always lifts your spirits. Few doctors can make you feel safe and valued while also making you laugh, but Dr. Wood does exactly that. I am extremely grateful to have worked with such an outstanding team. This clinic is a true gem, and anyone fortunate enough to receive care here will be in the best hands.

We completed two rounds of IVF here, but what deeply disappointed us was not the outcome—it was how we were treated throughout the process. From the beginning, we felt like nothing more than a number. Our IVF coordinator, Viviane, completely ignored our request not to send results by email and to call us instead, even though she did call the first time. Before the second retrieval, she went on vacation and never informed us of the results. A coordinator we did not know emailed them without warning. To this day, neither Viviane nor our doctor has followed up. Worse, the doctor pressured us into an ovarian rejuvenation procedure costing more than $8,000, then casually said at our final ultrasound, “Well, it does not necessarily work.” After everything we had invested emotionally, physically, and financially, that discouraging attitude was devastating. Why pressure patients into a procedure you do not support yourself? More than six months have now passed without hearing from anyone. No call, private message, or follow-up. The only communication we received was a generic copied-and-pasted email saying our embryos could not be transferred, followed by pressure to schedule another $20,000 IVF cycle. There was no compassion or support, only a sales pitch. You would expect someone to follow up after spending nearly $50,000, but we received no response at all. We also discovered that Gen 5 Fertility has a C rating with the Better Business Bureau because it failed to respond to patient complaints. That perfectly matches our experience: no accountability, poor communication, and no follow-up. This clinic feels cold and disorganized and seems more focused on profit than people.

This review is long overdue, but I delayed writing it because I am still upset when I think about my experience at Gen5 Fertility. I am now preparing to create embryos and must spend thousands more because this clinic was completely nontransparent from the beginning. I paid entirely out of pocket without insurance and feel completely taken advantage of. Gen5 made a very personal, emotional process chaotic, unprofessional, and transactional. They were disorganized, communicated poorly, and clearly prioritized profit over patient care. Had I known, I would have chosen another clinic without hesitation. The worst part—concealing information about embryos: What still bothers me most is that no one at Gen5 ever told me I could choose to create embryos while freezing eggs. Not once. I only learned this shortly before retrieval when a nurse casually asked whether I was also doing an embryo transfer. When I later asked again about embryo creation, the answers were even more confusing and vague. Eventually, someone admitted that they intentionally do not mention embryo options to unmarried patients because they 'do not want to become involved in legal disputes over embryos after a divorce.' To be clear, that is not their decision. It is an extremely personal choice that should be made by the patient, not the clinic! When I first froze my eggs, I had already told them that I might soon become engaged and that my partner and I wanted to plan ahead, especially because I have only one ovary. We were trying to be proactive. Instead of supporting our decision, they withheld critical information that could have saved us time, stress, and thousands of dollars. Because of their lack of transparency, I now have to repeat the process and spend tens of thousands of dollars to do something I should have had the opportunity to do from the start. This was not a minor oversight but a complete failure of ethics, communication, and patient care. I paid for two rounds of egg freezing, and I still have to pay more to create embryos! If they had told me in advance, it could have been done during my first cycle. The situation has left me so exhausted and frustrated that the eggs from my second round remain unused. A serious lack of empathy I have only one ovary. That is why I began this process. Although this is documented in my chart, Dr. Wood asked where my other ovary was during every ultrasound. Every time. I told the staff how distressing and careless this was, but nothing changed. If a doctor cannot spend 30 seconds reviewing a chart, that says a great deal about the standard of care. They also did not explain when egg freezing was safe or unsafe, which is a serious issue when you have one ovary and a risk of ovarian torsion. Poor communication and no expectations: I was told about appointments only at the last minute. For example, I would go in on Wednesday and be told without warning that I had to return Friday. I work full time and was never told that I would effectively need several weeks off to accommodate their schedule. They never provided a clear cycle calendar or list of expected appointments. I had no idea that I would need to come in daily during parts of the process, and I sometimes waited more than 45 minutes for morning appointments without an apology. Their communication was so unclear that I had to email constantly just to confirm that I understood what was happening. I even forwarded an entire email thread to their team to show how confusing everything was, but still nothing changed... I hope this review helps at least one person avoid the pain, stress, and expense I experienced. You deserve better.

I had two IVF transfers and two miscarriages at Gen 5, and I do not blame them for that. However, Gen 5 has high staff turnover, disorganized management, and no follow-up. I previously worked with CCRM in Colorado, and even when we miscarried, they had a doctor call us. Although I believe Dr. Wood is honest and knowledgeable about PRP, I cannot in good conscience recommend their services. After Gen 5 retained our last frozen embryo, we also tried another transfer through surrogacy, but we should have gone to San Diego Fertility Center (SDFC), which specializes in surrogate transfers. The difference between the two clinics is night and day. We are now working with SDFC to arrange another transfer, and they are responsive, professional, and organized. Dr. Park communicates with us directly, which no other clinic has done, and provides feedback on everything we send her. She is not rushing us into a transfer to collect payment; she genuinely wants us to succeed.

I had a very positive experience donating eggs at Gen 5 Fertility Center. The clinical staff were organized and made the entire process, from blood tests to ultrasounds, smooth and stress-free. The center itself is beautiful, set on a hillside, and is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Dr. Wood was wonderful. His knowledge and reassuring support made me confident in my decision to donate. He explained the entire process clearly and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. On retrieval day, the team monitored me closely and ensured everything went smoothly. Their care and support made my recovery much easier than expected. I especially appreciated the staff’s emotional support and their allowing my partner to accompany me on the day of the procedure, which made a real difference. I am very grateful for the care I received at Gen 5 and highly recommend it to anyone considering this fertility journey.😁

This was my first surrogacy journey, and I truly could not have had a better experience. Dr. Wood and the entire staff were wonderful—gentle, professional, and genuinely caring throughout. My coordinator Denise also deserves special recognition. She was patient and supportive, and although she works with many women, she always made me feel like a priority. Her guidance, attention to detail, and willingness to answer every question made the process much easier and less overwhelming. I am very grateful to the entire team and highly recommend them to anyone considering this journey.

We have worked with Gen5 for many years, and their coordination team is honestly one of the best we have worked with. They are exceptionally responsive, quickly replying and taking immediate action both during business hours and in late-night emergencies. This dedication is essential to our work as a surrogacy agency. Of all the clinics we work with, Gen5 has the highest success rate. As of 2025, our surrogates working with Gen5 have had a remarkable 100% success rate. We believe this success comes from several factors: the attentive care given to each surrogate, carefully designed medication protocols, and close monitoring of every important detail during transfer. Every clinic has its own approach, but success depends on strictly following the clinic's plan, and Gen5's protocol is undoubtedly the best. It is a pleasure to work with Dr. Wood and the entire Gen5 team. They are not only highly skilled but genuinely care about the people they help. Their professionalism and kindness make them one of our most trusted partners, and we highly recommend them.

We are very grateful to Dr. Wood and the entire Gen5 team for their attentive care and support throughout our IVF journey. Dr. Wood's expertise and genuine compassion gave us hope after years of trying and ultimately helped us become parents. Thank you for making our dream come true.

Denise, Dr. Wood, and the staff were wonderful. Everything was perfect: the staff and the facility were excellent.

After four natural miscarriages, my fertility acupuncturist recommended Dr. Wood. It is difficult to place complete trust in a doctor, but Dr. Wood was exceptional and assessed our recurrent pregnancy loss very accurately. I followed the diet and instructions closely. My transfer coordinators, Jasmine and Venny, were wonderful. The nurses for both egg retrievals and the transfer were angels. Dr. Wood gives every case individualized attention. This was especially meaningful because I started at SDFC, where I felt like a number being processed through a standard protocol. I highly recommend Dr. Wood and Gen5. I look forward to completing my next transfer with him.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Samuel Wood for his outstanding care during my egg retrieval procedure. From the initial consultation to the post-operative follow-up, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Samuel Wood combines remarkable medical skill with genuine compassion. He took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the IVF process, ensuring my partner and I felt informed, comfortable, and confident in his hands. His calm and reassuring demeanor immediately alleviated my anxiety. The procedure itself was a success and far smoother than I had anticipated. I attribute this to Dr. Samuel Wood‘s incredible expertise and precision. I was also well taken care of by the wonderful nursing staff. They frequently asked how I was feeling and if I had any pain, and offered a soothing warm pack that made a big difference. I would highly recommend Dr. Samuel Wood to anyone undergoing fertility treatment without any hesitation. Thank you so much for your role in helping us move forward in our journey to grow our family. We are so grateful for you and your wonderful team.

The doctor was dedicated and attentive. After surgery, I surprisingly had no severe ascites or constipation! I have to say, the surgical skill was truly excellent 👍

A miracle story: At 24, I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve/premature ovarian failure. Over the years, I visited HRC Pasadena Fertility, Pacific Fertility Center, HRC Encino Fertility, and Los Angeles IVF. Every clinic said I needed donor eggs, and some even refused IVF with my own eggs. I underwent 8 failed IUIs, multiple canceled cycles, and 6 failed IVF cycles. I was told to give up, find an egg donor, or consider adoption. Fifteen years later, I heard about this doctor while watching The Kardashians and decided to contact him. I traveled from Los Angeles to San Diego to see Dr. Wood at GEN5 Fertility Center. Fifteen years after my diminished ovarian reserve diagnosis, I am now 40, in my second marriage, and 8½ weeks pregnant using my own egg! I received PRP treatment from Dr. Wood. This doctor's name is Samuel. In the Bible, Samuel means ‘God heard my cry,’ and I believe God heard mine. I believe he was appointed by God to help women like me. Dr. Wood's wisdom, grace, and gentle manner, together with his compassionate and professional team, made me feel seen, supported, and understood. They are like family and will always be part of my life story. Ultimately, all glory goes to God, for ‘He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children.’ Praise the Lord, and may God bless Dr. Wood and the GEN5 team for the miracles they create.

Warmth during IVF: Gen5 gave me the courage to hope again Before entering Gen5, repeated IVF failures had left me surrounded by anxiety, frustration, and self-doubt, nearly crushing my hope of becoming a mother. Choosing Gen5 finally made me feel understood and valued again. From learning about the process remotely to traveling across the ocean to begin my cycle in the United States, everything was calm and organized. Every staff member, whether a nurse, doctor, or other team member, was patient like family. They carefully answered questions I asked repeatedly and gently encouraged me when past experiences made me hesitate, gradually easing my anxiety. Special thanks to my team, Luna, Jean, and Mary, and to Dr. Wood. They not only provided a professional treatment plan but gave me firm support when I lacked confidence, reminding me I was not fighting alone. Here, I experienced more than professional medical care; I felt the warmth of home. This reassurance and trust filled me with hope for this IVF cycle, and I sincerely want to share that feeling with others on the same path.

Dr. Wood was very patient and precise throughout. His surgical technique was excellent, and the procedure was highly successful. The nurses at Gen 5 Fertility Center were kind, friendly, and patient. Thank you very much!

The best team. I love the staff here. Cleo was my coordinator and ensured I was well cared for. I brought my son to an appointment, and the staff helped settle him while I completed what I needed to do. I do not encourage bringing children, but they understood my situation. Everything was completed on time and perfectly. My recovery also went well. I shared concerns from a previous fertility center, and they listened. Choose this company for all your fertility needs! I love them!

This was my first OVF IVF surrogacy journey, and I genuinely could not have asked for a better experience. Dr. Wood and the entire staff were wonderful, gentle, professional, and sincerely caring throughout. My coordinators Khadijah and Leonard Ivy also deserve special recognition. They were patient and supportive, and although they work with many other women, they always made me feel like a priority. Their guidance, attention to detail, and willingness to answer every question made the process much easier and less overwhelming. I am very grateful to the entire team and highly recommend them to anyone considering this journey.

'Hope is being able to see light despite the darkness.' Dr. Wood was that light throughout this journey. We had lost hope and enthusiasm about becoming parents. After consulting fertility centers across the United States, from west to east, and even in Spain, Mexico, and Turkey, we felt like nothing more than a number in a one-size-fits-all system—a dollar sign. Everything changed the moment I contacted Gen5 Fertility. From my first conversation with Dion and her uplifting energy until the day we graduated, all we felt was hope and renewed purpose. Throughout the process, we never felt alone or disappointed. With his candor, deep expertise, and genuine empathy, Dr. Wood accompanied us through every step of the journey. The entire team—Jasmine, Julie, and Caroline—was exceptional: responsive, professional, and kind. Even the financial team was unlike those we encountered elsewhere: respectful, gentle, and consistently professional, never pushy. If you are looking for genuine care, a personalized treatment plan, and a team that truly cares about you rather than your bank account, Gen5 is the right choice. We are deeply grateful we found them. We love you ❤️

An attentive and knowledgeable team. Dr. Samuel Wood truly puts patients' health first and guided the entire treatment process in the right direction from the beginning. Thank you.

Dr. Wood and her team—Kadya and Jasmine—are knowledgeable and supportive and always make me feel at ease. They patiently explain every step in detail and make me feel genuinely valued, not merely like a patient. I also want to give special thanks to Bibi and Cindy. Both are outstanding—responsible, knowledgeable, and caring. Their attentive care made me feel like family. Their patience, clear communication, and sincere compassion meant so much to me. No matter how many questions I asked, they always answered kindly and thoroughly. The clinic itself is clean and well organized, and its professionalism gave me complete confidence. I am sincerely grateful for the care I received here and wholeheartedly recommend this team to anyone going through this journey. They are an amazing team!

Our second IVF attempt was successful, and we had a healthy baby boy. Their embryologist is the best in the area. Thanks to her, 6 embryos were successfully fertilized at once from 14 eggs. They have a VIP area for certain patients, and Dr. Woods has some excellent technicians who handle everything. Our first technician was better than the second, who was less diligent, did not treat patients as well, and could sometimes be confusing. If your cycle is assigned to an excellent technician, everything will be fine; otherwise, you may have to cancel several cycles, and errors may occur along the way.

This was my first egg donation, and it was an excellent experience. Cleo helped me tremendously—she was friendly, attentive, and always ensured my treatment was precise, making me feel safe and reassured throughout. She made me feel that I was not alone, and I truly appreciate the care she gave me at every visit. Each appointment was comfortable, organized, and efficient. Thank you to the team for caring for me so well and making me feel secure throughout the process. I would definitely consider donating again. Special thanks to Dr. Wood, whose professionalism and attentive care made me feel warmly supported. I am very grateful to the entire team and for the service they provided.

This was my third egg donation, and my experience at Gen 5 was the best so far. The care I received exceeded anything I had experienced before. I developed ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) after both previous donations, so I was understandably terrified of going through that pain again. I shared my concerns with Dr. Wood and Cleo, and they truly listened. They tailored the protocol and medication to my situation, which made a crucial difference. Even after donating several times, the process can still be stressful and frightening, but Cleo supported me throughout. She answered every question and concern, even on weekends, which made me feel exceptionally reassured and safe. Dr. Wood is a magician. The process went very smoothly, I donated 30 eggs, and—thank goodness—four days after retrieval I have no signs of OHSS. Any symptoms are extremely mild. I was even able to fly home the next day without difficulty. The worst postoperative issue was a migraine, which is remarkable given my previous experiences. I am deeply grateful for this team's attentive care, compassion, and expertise, and I highly recommend Gen 5.

Surrogacy experience: We chose Gen 5 because they could accommodate our independent international surrogate. After two failed embryo transfers, we decided to change clinics. We had done everything possible to improve our chances. The nursing care seemed good and the facility was clean, but the clinic was extremely busy and made us feel like one patient among many. By the second transfer, they seemed indifferent to both our success and our pain. Dr. Wood was kind and thoughtful at first but later became cold, distant, and lacking in empathy. After the embryo lost its heartbeat following the second transfer, he and our coordinator simply shrugged and said, “Well, try again.” They suggested no changes that might improve the outcome, expressed no sympathy for our second failure, and offered no discussion. They just rushed away and repeated, “Try again.” Overall, Gen 5 felt driven by profit. They seemed focused on making as much money as possible while providing only minimal care. When treatment failed after they had collected tens of thousands of dollars, their only concern appeared to be the next opportunity to collect more. Everyone behaved professionally, but the longer we observed them, the more the clinic felt like a well-run machine built to maximize volume and profit. The lack of individualized protocols and empathy for patient suffering was shocking. Something about the atmosphere felt very wrong. This did not feel like a practice focused on success. The next clinic we found achieved a pregnancy on our first transfer. You can call that luck or a different protocol; we believe it was the latter. My advice: save your money, protect your heart, and go elsewhere.

He was terrible. He caused internal bleeding and said I was overreacting. That night I needed lifesaving surgery and had to pay $50,000 out of pocket, a cost that should have been covered by my insurance... Yet afterward he told me I had to return to him. He is arrogant and unethical—and I am British, so I am already accustomed to rude doctors.

Gen 5 Fertility is an excellent clinic. I was 50 and clinics around the world had rejected me, but Gen 5 was willing to try. My fertility journey is not over. My goal this year is to raise the money to continue. My eggs and sperm are stored there, waiting for me. I am already halfway there :). Thank you so much for giving me hope and a reason to live. See you soon!

From my first consultation, the Chinese-language team—Supervisor Fan and Jean—were patient and supportive. They listened carefully to all my concerns and answered every question, making me feel understood and reassured from the beginning. Throughout treatment, the entire team was professional, thorough, and genuinely caring. They focused not only on achieving the best outcome but also on my physical and emotional well-being. Any necessary adjustments were handled quickly and thoughtfully. My cycle coordinator Luna and the excellent nursing team, especially Mary, were always kind, reassuring, and responsive. Together with Dr. Wood and the entire Gen 5 team, they made me feel completely safe and confident throughout the process. After today’s egg retrieval, I feel surprisingly well, with no discomfort at all. Honestly, I felt ready to go shopping immediately afterward! I am very grateful for their professionalism, patience, and genuine care. The entire team goes above and beyond for patients. I highly recommend them!

From start to finish, our experience at Gen 5 Fertility was excellent! Dr. Wood and our coordinators, Katya and Jasmine, provided exceptional care throughout IVF. Our first transfer was successful, and the entire team made us feel reassured and supported at every step. The nurses and medical staff were well trained and experienced and always put us at ease. We never felt rushed at appointments, and every question was answered thoroughly. Billing was clear, with no unexpected charges, and the staff were always responsive and efficient. This is by far the best fertility clinic we have worked with. Dr. Wood’s knowledge and skill are unmatched. We highly recommend Gen 5 Fertility! Update: We returned to Gen 5 hoping for a second baby, and our second transfer was also successful. We are delighted to have built our family through Gen 5 Fertility.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Wood and the entire Gen5 team for the care they have given me over the past two years. Two years ago, Dr. Wood helped me create two healthy embryos, one male and one female, for which I am extremely grateful. During this year’s Lunar New Year holiday, I returned to Gen5 to freeze my eggs. Given my age, I did not have high expectations, but the results far exceeded them. I was especially pleased with the number of mature eggs retrieved. Dr. Wood is not only highly skilled but also kind, approachable, and patient. He always answered my questions carefully and made me feel reassured throughout the process. I also thank Fan, Jean, Luna, nurse Mary, and the entire Gen5 team. The front desk always welcomes visitors with a smile, and every staff member is friendly, professional, dedicated, and genuinely caring. They made me feel fully supported at every step. I feel very fortunate to have found Gen5 and highly recommend Dr. Wood and his team.

I am the mother of a patient, and I sincerely thank the entire G5 medical team for their outstanding care. From the beginning, everyone demonstrated professionalism, responsibility, and exceptional kindness. They were always patient and took time to answer all our questions, no matter how busy they were. Their support meant a great deal to our entire family during this difficult journey. We are especially grateful for Dr. Wood’s excellent medical skill and attentive care. His expertise and confidence reassured us throughout the process, and we are very satisfied with the final outcome. I also sincerely thank our coordinators Jean and Luna and nurse Mary. They were always responsive, thoughtful, and supportive, and their warmth and care were essential to our family. We sincerely appreciate everything the entire team did for us. Thank you for your dedication and kindness.

No! I went there in good faith, and my egg count was excellent for my age. Dr. Woods is charming. Given that he successfully cloned himself, I am sure he is knowledgeable. Do your research. After the ultrasound, he enthusiastically guided me toward a planned egg retrieval. I was in my forties. I also underwent egg rejuvenation. Strictly speaking, according to Gen 5 egg testing, I was not eligible for mini-IVF because of my follicle count, PCOS, and thyroid issues. But I did it anyway! After Dr. Woods left the room, Nurse Jennifer told me it was all just a formality, intended only to make older women feel better. Then I could buy eggs, and she would make some recommendations. I left and never looked back. Dr. Woods wrote to me, but I had no way to reply. How convenient. He had been encouraging. Until my dissertation came up, he did not know I had pursued a PhD in psychology and later moved into medicine. I am not foolish. He seemed surprised that I understood the phases of the menstrual cycle. Why? Because I studied psychoneuroendocrinology! I am trained in this area. I am not at his level, but I understand the research. I knew the chance of success was low. So what is the lesson? Go to Italy or Dubai. There you can receive stem-cell treatments more advanced than Gen 5. I wish I could recover the more than $10,000 I wasted here. I should have gone to Italy sooner. That is where my research went wrong. Gen 5 cannot compare with the companies and clinics there. If you are older, consider Italy. There is also a doctor in New York who specializes in helping women of all ages conceive through cyclic ovulation. Do your research. New Hope in New York has a case of a 48-year-old woman who conceived using her own eggs! Do not go to Gen 5! I wish I had gone to Italy sooner!

Before Gen5, I had been to another clinic, and the difference was immediate. At the previous clinic, everything felt mechanical: go in, complete the task, and leave. Communication was poor, and I often had to chase them for answers, so I was cautious about starting again. Gen5 felt completely different from the beginning. Treatment itself was still stressful, as anyone who has experienced fertility care knows, but it never felt cold or transactional. Much of that was because of Jean, Fan, Luna, and Jinger. They kept everything organized and flowing naturally without feeling rigid. They were easy to reach, nothing was overlooked, and they provided care and attention rarely found at other clinics. Even small details impressed me. Blood draws were quick and easy, which matters greatly when they are frequent, and coordination never felt chaotic. I did not have to guess what would happen next or worry that something had been missed. On the day of surgery, Mary in the operating room was wonderful—calm and composed, with exactly the energy needed in that moment. As for Dr. Wood, I had complete confidence in him throughout, which may matter more than anything else. What I appreciated most was how natural and unforced everything felt, like a professional, dedicated team quietly doing excellent work.

I do not usually write reviews, but my experience at Gen5 Fertility Center deserves one. Fertility treatment can be emotional and stressful, but from the beginning the Gen5 team made me feel supported, cared for, and never alone. Jean and Fan were the first staff members I met, and they set the tone. They were patient, responsive, and genuinely kind. No matter how many questions I asked, they took time to explain everything clearly and thoughtfully. Their early support helped tremendously and greatly eased my anxiety. My coordinator Luna was exceptional. She went above and beyond, checked on me regularly, watched every detail, and kept everything moving smoothly. More importantly, she made me feel valued and cared for not just as a patient, but as a person. That level of attention and compassion is rare. Jinger, who drew my blood, was also wonderful. Anyone who has undergone fertility treatment knows how frequent blood tests are, and she made them much easier. She is skilled, gentle, quick, and precise. I always felt relieved when I knew she would perform the draw. Operating-room nurse Mary gave me tremendous comfort and encouragement when I needed it most. I was nervous before surgery, but her warm presence and professionalism helped me feel safe and relaxed. I will always remember it. Dr. Wood's skill is unquestionable. His expertise and experience gave me confidence throughout the process. Gen5 stands out not only for its medical expertise but for the genuine compassion of every team member. They understand that this is not just a medical process; it is personal, emotional, and life-changing. I am very grateful to have shared this journey with them and sincerely recommend Gen5 Fertility Center to anyone seeking excellent medical care and genuine compassion.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. This review is difficult to write, but others should know what happened so it does not happen again. I have reported the matter to Gen 5, the Medical Board of California, and law enforcement. Dr. Wood examined me twice, once in January and again in May. The first examination seemed routine. Two nurses were present: one remained behind Dr. Wood throughout, while the other assisted with medical supplies. During the second examination, however, only one nurse was present. She moved around the room collecting supplies and could not observe the examination. While standing between my legs, Dr. Wood touched my clitoris. This had never happened during any medical examination, felt highly inappropriate, and went beyond what I understood to be medically necessary. The contact lasted about five seconds before he continued the examination. I am sharing this so others are informed. I do not want anyone else to experience what I did.

Choosing a fertility clinic was not a decision I took lightly, and a few months into treatment at Gen5, I already feel strongly enough to share my experience—and much of that is because of Jean. From our first conversation, Jean has been the person I relied on most. Every interaction left me feeling heard and genuinely cared for. She not only answers questions but listens, remembers small details, and shows that she cares about me as a person, not merely as a patient on a treatment plan. When I felt overwhelmed or uncertain, Jean always knew what to say, whether explaining medical information clearly or checking on me emotionally. She goes out of her way to make sure I feel supported and has endless patience, even when I raise the same concern more than once. I do not think I would be navigating this process as calmly without her. The rest of the team has also been wonderful. Dr. Wood is a major reason I chose Gen5. His expertise was clear from our first conversation, and his calm, grounded explanations gave me confidence in our plan. Gen5 stands out not only for clinical excellence, but because everyone truly understands what patients experience emotionally and responds accordingly. I still have a road ahead, but I feel fortunate to be going through it with them.

I am about to turn 43, and we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Wood and the Gen5 team for their help. Throughout the process, Dr. Wood and his team continually encouraged me and helped build my confidence. After three cycles, we obtained two beautiful euploid embryos—one female and one male, graded 4AA and 4BB respectively. This means so much to us, and we are deeply grateful. At my initial consultation, Dr. Wood and Dr. Fan made a strong impression. They patiently answered all my questions and provided clear, thoughtful medical guidance that gave me confidence from the beginning. Before my cycle began, my pre-cycle coordinator Jean was extremely helpful. She closely monitored my hormone levels and blood test results and carefully guided me through the pretreatment protocol. Everything was clearly explained and closely monitored, making the process organized and reassuring. During the cycle, my coordinator Luna was also excellent. She was consistently attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring. The process can feel overwhelming, but she made everything much easier and more comfortable. I am very grateful for her support throughout. I also want to thank my surgical nurse Mary, who was highly skilled and professional. Her attentive, thoughtful care made me feel safe throughout the procedure. Special thanks, of course, to Dr. Wood. He is knowledgeable and experienced, and I always felt that he truly understood my situation and made the best decisions for me. Because our results were so good, I would absolutely consider returning to Gen5 for another cycle in the future. Overall, I am extremely grateful to the entire Gen5 team. They made an enormous difference for us, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing these services.

Choosing a fertility clinic was not a decision I took lightly, and after a few months of treatment at Gen5, I feel strongly enough to share my experience. Dr. Wood was a major reason I chose the clinic. His expertise was clear from our first conversation, but I also valued his honesty. He never exaggerated or dismissed concerns, and his calm, clear explanations gave me confidence in our treatment plan. The team around him may be the clinic's real magic. I came to rely on my coordinator Luna more than expected; she kept my cycle organized, contacted me at the right times, and made the logistics easy, especially when I was emotionally drained. Jean and Fan were my first contacts, and I still remember how patiently they answered my many questions. They made me comfortable enough to schedule my first consultation. Jinger handled my blood draws and quickly became a highlight of my week. She was fast, precise, and very kind. Anyone who has undergone fertility treatment knows that finding such an excellent phlebotomist feels miraculous. I was more nervous than I admitted on surgery day, but operating room nurse Mary transformed the experience. I will always remember her warmth and calm in those final minutes. What makes Gen5 special is not only its excellent clinical care, but that everyone seems to understand what patients are feeling and supports them accordingly. I still have a long road ahead, but I feel fortunate to be going through it with them. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone weighing their options.

What an amazing experience! The medical staff were caring, the doctor was highly skilled, and the team was very thoughtful. The procedure was quick and comfortable, and I am now eagerly awaiting the laboratory results. If I have any chance of becoming a mother, Dr. Wood and his team will help make it happen.

When I first came to Gen5, I was very skeptical and cautious. I had a terrible experience at another clinic and had begun to wonder whether I had missed my chance to have children. In my first meeting with Dr. Wood alone, I learned more than I had at the previous clinic. Dr. Wood is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled, and Dr. Adams and her laboratory team are equally outstanding. Thanks to Gen5's care and expertise, I had excellent results—at age 37, I obtained 4 high-quality euploid embryos in only two cycles. My first transfer worked, and I am now 31 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby and no problems so far. I was also impressed by the professionalism and communication of the entire team, from reception to the IVF and frozen embryo transfer coordinators. Vanessa and Vivian were extremely helpful throughout my IVF cycles, communicating clearly and always replying promptly. My FET coordinator Carolyne was amazing. She was consistently compassionate and patient, especially when calming my anxiety and answering all my questions. Dr. Wood and his team changed my husband's and my lives, and we will always be grateful. If we decide to have more children, we will choose Gen5 again even though we no longer live in California. I highly recommend Gen5—they truly are the best.
