Patrick L. Blohm, MD, is the founder and medical director of Georgia Center for Reproductive Medicine. Born in Wisconsin and raised in north-central Illinois, Dr. Blohm graduated as salutatorian of his high school class. He graduated with honors from St. John's University, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. At St. John's, he received the Joseph B. Gaida Academic Scholarship as the most promising pre-medical student in his class.
Dr. Blohm earned his medical degree from Rush University Medical College in Chicago. As a medical student, he participated in in vitro fertilization using human and rhesus monkey models and was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha Society, recognizing the nation's top medical graduates. After medical school, he completed a four-year OB/GYN residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
After residency, Dr. Blohm was selected for the single reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship position at Duke University Medical Center. Johns Hopkins and Duke have consistently ranked among the leading U.S. teaching hospitals. After completing his medical training, Dr. Blohm spent 21 years in private practice in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Alongside private practice, he remains committed to teaching and training the next generation of physicians. He serves on the Mercer University School of Medicine faculty and directs the infertility rotation for Savannah OB/GYN residents.
Dr. Blohm considers individualized care and candid communication hallmarks of his practice, ensuring each patient understands their unique situation, treatment options, and realistic chance of success. Dr. Blohm and his wife are proud parents of two sons.
