Dr. Lynn Davis, United States
Dr. Lynn B. Davis knew from an early age that having children was very important to her, and her greatest reward is helping others do the same. Recognizing that fertility treatment can feel overwhelming, she places special emphasis on being an ally throughout each patient's experience.
In 2008, Dr. Davis returned to her hometown of Seattle to join the growing SRM team. In addition to her clinical and teaching experience, she has a special interest in medical decision-making, the cost-effectiveness of treatment plans, and evidence-based treatment strategies, supported by a master's degree in health research and policy from Stanford University.
Dr. Davis developed and leads SRM's fertility preservation program, which helps women who need assisted reproductive technology effectively delay conception. In this role, she works with patients preparing for chemotherapy or radiation therapy for cancer or other health conditions that may cause infertility. SRM is fortunate to have Dr. Davis lead this program; her expertise in health policy, decision analysis, and new technology assessment is essential for the specialized patient population it serves. Her clinical expertise includes in vitro fertilization (IVF), oncofertility, and oocyte vitrification, an egg preservation technique.
Dr. Davis's commitment to personalized, patient-centered care was evident early in her training, when classmates at the University of Colorado School of Medicine voted her most likely to become a good doctor. Later, during her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard medical students named her an outstanding OB/GYN educator for three consecutive years. Dr. Davis also received the Robert Felix Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry in 1999 and the National Institutes of Health Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award in 2006.
She was recognized as one of Seattle Met Magazine's Top Doctors from 2018 to 2021.
Dr. Davis earned dual degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Virginia, followed by an MD from the University of Colorado and an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Harvard University. She completed her REI fellowship at Stanford University, followed by postdoctoral research at Stanford's Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and served as a clinical instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Davis sees patients at the Bellevue and Seattle locations. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and two children, especially hiking, camping, and skiing.
