After secondary infertility, we eventually went to Boston IVF. We began seeing Dr. Klein when he first joined the clinic. He, Molly, and my primary nurse Erin were all wonderful. They made the process easy to understand and, thankfully, very successful in our case. They were always easy to reach and welcomed any questions. I would recommend them to anyone unfortunate enough to need their services. The warmth and knowledge in this office are very evident, and we are so grateful we found them!

After consecutive second-trimester losses, I came to Boston IVF Syracuse for a third opinion. After meeting Molly, I felt my entire outlook change. I had hope and, more importantly, felt heard and validated. I felt that all appropriate testing was being done. The first test performed, which my MFM doctor had said was unnecessary, identified a problem, and I have already scheduled surgery. I am very grateful. All the office staff are also very kind, and the office is beautiful and calm.

Dr. Klein is absolutely incredible. He is kind, caring, and knowledgeable, and I am sincerely grateful to him. The front-desk staff, phlebotomists, ultrasound technicians, and nurses were a pleasure to work with. They are all friendly and excellent at their jobs. You are more than a number here. One of my favorite things is that they communicate treatment information by phone rather than through an online portal. I was never confused. I highly recommend this office.

I nearly died because the doctor chose a treatment that was unsuitable for me despite several warning signs. The clinic also refused to sign my insurance paperwork for tests the doctor recommended and that my insurance covered. I tried repeatedly to resolve this but was continually obstructed.

Boston IVF provided a wonderful experience throughout my pregnancy. Special thanks to Dr. Max Klein, an excellent guide and caregiver. The nursing staff and support team were equally outstanding, always offering a smile and a helping hand. Thanks to the excellent Boston IVF team, we joyfully welcomed a healthy baby into the world.

Dr. Merouth has the ideal personality and temperament for this work. He always provides the best and most honest care. Carla and Tina are the best nurses in the field. Anyone would be fortunate to work with this team, and anyone experiencing infertility or planning a family should seek out this excellent team.

The nurse practitioner in Syracuse told a lesbian couple, “Well, if you had a male partner, you could have timed intercourse, but obviously that is not the case,” while I was already crying from anxiety about seeking fertility care. Another comment about sperm banks was, “You have the right idea—you do not even have to deal with the guy!” She had no idea that we desperately wanted a caring, known sperm donor, but unfortunately he was dealing with male-factor infertility. Many couples also want Open ID for their donor-conceived children. These comments were hurtful. When I politely asked to be seen in person, I was told, “Sorry, since COVID I generally do not do consultations in person,” even though I was tired of mistreatment by professionals and not feeling heard on Zoom calls. The insensitivity and lack of information we experienced were truly awful, especially since we are two healthy people. We were also told, “You will never see an MD unless you do IVF.” Sometimes it feels safer to speak with someone more experienced who can provide accurate information about medications, side effects, care, and so on, with a calm bedside manner when addressing fertility-care anxiety. All these comments made me shut down. I was then told to get genetic testing, so I scheduled it as soon as possible. I booked the first appointment of the morning at 8 a.m., arrived, and waited 25 minutes for a simple blood draw. The crowded waiting room and lack of personal care were frustrating. You clearly have too many patients. You should also train staff to be more inclusive toward lesbian partners and all partners in general.

Do NOT GO HERE. They S.. 💰 CAM you out of money. They will pressure you into doing a wash for samples even though you specifically asked NOT to. My cycle was canceled back in MAY. We paid BEFORE any procedure was done. They normally charged us AFTER our IUI. They don’t keep you up to date with anything. You HAVE TO ASK how things will go, they don’t tell you. After I submitted the email that was requested by the manager that overheard the one person from lab say that the wash wasn’t going to be changed and we will get refunded here we are almost in JULY and no refund with an update from MAY that they’re not refunding us. For a wash that THEY NEVER DID. And falsely documented on. Lawyers are getting involved and now that I have RECORDED phone calls of them CONFIRMING everything and EMAILS, I have more than enough paper trail to win the case and I will be updating my lawyer. I wanted to WARN any other MILITARY personnel, or anyone looking for fertility treatments, they’re NOT the place to go through. I’ve been told CNY is MUCH CHEAPER, and better and they actually tell you what to expect. They update you on EVERYTHING, and are FAR MORE thorough. DONT COME HERE.

They make things difficult when you want to change doctors. You certainly do not want them withholding your sperm after canceling your cycle. You must find a notary and sign away all your rights, including the right to transport it yourself! The donated sperm may be contaminated or damaged, and there is nothing you can do except wait two weeks and hope it is still usable.

Amazing care so far. My initial consultation was scheduled quickly, and all my questions were answered. A plan of action was created immediately, and I feel very optimistic about the process!

After four long years following a diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve, Boston IVF finally helped me have my baby. Despite my low chances, they never gave up on me. Although the team changed during treatment, they remained dependable and very supportive. I generally found them easy to reach. I especially thank the phlebotomists, who worked with my small, difficult veins for nearly two years and minimized my discomfort whenever possible. They and the nurses remained positive and caring throughout treatment. Thank you, Boston IVF Syracuse!

My fiancée and I decided to start a family. After two years of trying and setbacks, we went to Boston IVF. They said they were experienced and compassionate, with an award-winning staff. We were open about our situation and our need for help. For my fiancée, they did an excellent job diagnosing PCOS and prescribed medication to manage her symptoms. For me, they found that I had almost no sperm and arranged a micro-TESE procedure to retrieve sperm from my testicle. After the procedure, the retrieved sperm was sent to Boston IVF. The problem began when my fiancée's health insurance lapsed in January. When a woman in the financial department asked why she could not join my insurance, I explained that although my spouse and I had been separated for 17 years, my divorce was not yet finalized. The receptionist's attitude immediately changed, and she said Boston IVF could not perform my fiancée's insemination procedure. I had been transparent about my marital status from the beginning. Boston IVF had us complete a long list of tests and treatments, then told us at the point when we were overjoyed that they would not help us. I believe my fiancée being a minority and uninsured affected their decision. They seemed concerned only about money and unwilling to help us achieve our dream of starting a family. I cannot understand why they stopped helping us without at least sitting down with us to explain the reason. It seemed arbitrary and discriminatory. We are heartbroken, frustrated, angry, and profoundly disappointed with Boston IVF. Sincerely, Steven m Hunter Tristen A Haire

Communication is extremely poor. They never follow up unless it concerns collecting payment. I had to call about everything, including blood-test follow-up. They received the results but never contacted me. Be sure to educate and advocate for yourself; they recommended an unnecessary invasive procedure. The radiology technician was particularly problematic. She spoke inappropriately about personal matters such as body hair and insensitively asked about preferring a child of one sex over another in a setting where people struggle to conceive. Instead of saying she was having difficulty seeing during the scan and trying an external rather than internal examination, she submitted inconclusive information that led to additional unnecessary blood work and another scan. I would never recommend this office. I also advised my regular obstetrics and gynecology office to stop referring patients here and explained how poor my experience was.

Before treatment began, I was asked to have several blood tests. When one result was positive, a trainee said they would not worry about it. I underwent several IUIs there, none of which succeeded. I later went to Strong Fertility Center, where the first thing they said was that they were concerned about that positive blood-test result and wanted it repeated. The repeat was also positive, and the doctor at Strong told me the condition can cause recurrent miscarriage and requires proper treatment. Second, when they were acquired by Boston IVF and switched to a new system, their payment system became a mess. As a result, I received an incorrect bill for something I had already paid and had a receipt for. I repeatedly called the Albany billing office and the local Rochester office, and even visited the Rochester office to submit proof of payment. I did everything possible, but the bill was not reviewed or corrected, and they threatened to send the balance to collections. If that happens, I will file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. New York passed legislation prohibiting hospitals from reporting outstanding medical debt to consumer reporting agencies because they cannot verify billing accuracy. My experience at this place was negative, and I will never return. Treatment itself is difficult enough; no patient should have to fight for an accurate bill.

10/10 do not recommend! They were cold and had terrible bedside manner. In the end, it felt like a racket. It was almost as if they knew I had no chance, yet initially told me IVF was my only option. Strangely, Dr. M later told me to try intercourse on the same day they called—just a few days before my scheduled retrieval—to say there were no eggs to retrieve. If intercourse was an option, why recommend IVF? I think this doctor is completely out of touch with each patient's situation. Did he even have my chart in front of him? Isn't the purpose of all the testing, ultrasounds, and medication to track ovulation? Then he told me to try intercourse as though he had not said it was impossible when recommending IVF. It makes no sense and sounds like they only wanted to get paid! I would not advise anyone to waste precious, critical time entrusting their fertility care to this disorganized and careless office. I know it is hard to tell someone to seek a second opinion after they have already paid and started the process there. Just know that Dr. M appears to be the doctor for all three locations in upstate New York! Their communication was terrible, especially about important matters such as “why,” “what next,” and “the correct treatment plan.” I am not only upset that it did not work; I am angry about all the back-and-forth, which made me feel they were unqualified in many ways to conduct this level of treatment on people.

Dr. Mroueh and his entire staff are among the most caring people I know. Although no one wants to need their care, they make patient support their highest priority. I have never felt such genuine love and concern at a medical office. My path to motherhood was long and uncertain, and when I was ready to graduate to my OB-GYN with my last child, I hugged the doctors in tears because it felt like leaving my second home. Even when I left empty-handed, I always recommended Dr. Mroueh to anyone asking for a fertility doctor. I cannot praise him enough! I also included a photo of my three little miracles!
