I am extremely disappointed with KindBody's service. My experience with their London representative was unprofessional and unpleasant. When I called to schedule an appointment, the representative was dismissive and impatient. She interrupted me repeatedly, refused to answer my questions clearly, and made me feel that my concerns were invalid. Being treated this way during such an emotionally sensitive time was distressing. She read from a script and literally explained what IVF meant from the script on their website. When I asked her to stop, she was very dismissive and even laughed. Especially as a woman of color, not only are our rights marginalized, but Black women face many struggles in fertility care. As a midwife, I would never recommend my patients come here. I plan to file a complaint, escalate it, and post it on every forum. I am unhappy and hope no one else experiences this, especially because I was referred here specifically to discuss my concerns with women of color like me. I will never return. At a time when compassion is so important, this interaction left me feeling unsupported and unwelcome. I had high hopes for this clinic, but the lack of empathy was disappointing. I strongly recommend training staff to treat patients with greater respect and empathy, especially when handling sensitive subjects such as fertility. I hope this feedback helps improve the clinic's service for future patients, but unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place.

Dr. Ekpo and her Walnut Creek team are wonderful! I was very uncertain when I began the process, but throughout the journey I felt guided by the warmest team I could have hoped for. Kat was my pillar of support throughout my time with Kindbody, answering all my questions and easing my doubts. Dr. Ekpo gave me confidence in my decisions, and less than a year after our initial consultation, she gave me something so precious.

Pregnant with our second child after another successful embryo transfer, following five egg-retrieval cycles with mixed results, I have just “graduated” from Kindbody. My husband and I are deeply grateful to Dr. Ekpo and her team for the high level of care, expertise, and attention they provided throughout our fertility journey.

We tried IVF unsuccessfully for several years and eventually heard about Kindbody through a colleague. The rest is history! We are thrilled to be expecting our miracle rainbow baby. Kindbody's staff and doctors do not overlook you or miss important information; their work is detailed and thorough. We are overjoyed. Dr. Ekpo is wonderful, and the entire team is amazing!

My wife and I had an excellent experience at Kindbody. This was our first IVF cycle. We had no issues, and everyone was helpful and answered our questions. I highly recommend them.

Working with Kriszta was an incredibly empowering and supportive experience. She was thoughtful and compassionate, and from the first consultation she made me feel valued and understood. Her guidance helped me better understand how to nourish my body, especially during this transition as I prepare for pregnancy. Since following her recommendations, I have noticed real improvements: I have more energy, less bloating, and greater confidence in my daily nutrition choices. What I appreciate most is that her advice was not overwhelming; it was practical, personalized, and sustainable. Kriszta is a gem, and I am deeply grateful for the positive impact she has had on my mindset and overall well-being. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to better achieve their physical and health goals.

This was my first time undergoing IVF. I had previously experienced several pregnancy losses, including losing my son when he was only a few days old, a miscarriage, and a threatened miscarriage. My OB-GYN therefore strongly recommended that I try IVF. Fortunately, my husband's employer provided insurance that covered one cycle. We began the process last year after formally deciding to proceed. We started sometime in February, and I had my transfer in May. Because genetic testing had been performed after my previous miscarriage, they did not want to take any risks and wanted to address that concern. In any case, today I am 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Thank you. I do not know what the final outcome will be, but I am pregnant now, and it was very difficult for me to conceive without fertility assistance. We had some billing issues, but they did not stop us from trying. We were mainly seen in Walnut Creek, though we also had to go to San Francisco, so I cannot say much about that location because we only went twice, including for the retrieval and transfer. Most of our appointments were in Walnut Creek. We liked the doctors we worked with and have no complaints.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Ekpo and Kindbody for making my daughter's dream of becoming a mother come true. Although there were some obstacles, Dr. Ekpo never wavered. She always remained calm and gave us the facts throughout the process. I am so pleased with the kindness shown to both me and my daughter 💕. #15 Dr. Ekpo, you are the G.O.A.T. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My husband and I are very grateful to Dr. Ekpo and the Kindbody Walnut Creek team. Thanks to them, we welcomed our sweet son Harry last September. Our overall experience at Kindbody was very positive, and I highly recommend them to any couple seeking fertility support. Every follow-up and appointment was well organized; the Walnut Creek facility and team were very helpful and kind. Questions about each process, including intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF), were answered promptly and thoroughly. This can be challenging for any couple, and I believe the Kindbody team did an excellent job of providing a supportive environment. Thank you again, Dr. Ekpo and the Kindbody team!

Before you begin, please understand the following: Anyone can provide smiles, welcoming gestures, comfortable surroundings, and attractive decor. I think these are only for show. 1- The process takes several months. 2- Even with 100% insurance coverage, you will still pay a substantial amount for appointments, medications, and blood tests, and each time they will give you an unexpected bill. 3- They do not have the same level of technology as other countries. Good luck.

I went for a consultation and was charged $300. Afterward, I deliberately declined laboratory testing because I have insurance and preferred to use my employer coverage. The next morning, I woke up to an $872 bill. Most of it was a “doctor visit fee.” Is a consultation not a visit? Charging twice on the same day is illegal. I should add that although I declined further testing, the staff persuaded me to have an AMH blood test because it was a “promotion” and “free.” I also received a text saying the test was promotional. I was charged for it anyway. I sent the company a screenshot of the text, and they are “investigating.” If you are considering this clinic, I strongly recommend reading Bloomberg's investigation into embryo transfer errors. After reading it, I believe my billing dispute spared me further harm from this unethical company.

After four IVF cycles, we are finally 10 weeks pregnant, and we are incredibly grateful to the wonderful team at Kindbody! From the beginning, the doctors and nurses were excellent—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in our fertility journey. Every visit was easy, and the entire process was organized and less stressful than our experiences at other clinics. IVF cycles are never easy, but this clinic made everything feel effortless. The staff always patiently answered our questions, celebrated every milestone with us, and made us feel deeply cared for at every step. Traveling a long distance was completely worthwhile for such high-quality medical care and support. We sincerely thank them for helping us achieve our dream! 💕

I am very glad I chose Kindbody to begin fertility treatment. As a lesbian with no known health problems, I knew almost nothing about the process. The care team was excellent throughout, giving me tremendous support through every high and low. As at other clinics, communication was sometimes difficult, but an after-hours nurse contact was always available. Even when everything seemed hopeless, they found solutions and did all they could to support me. I can hardly believe I graduated from treatment today and will keep them updated. I am very happy knowing they will remain available throughout my pregnancy if I need help.

Navigating IVF can be overwhelming, but my experience at Kindbody has been nothing less than incredible! I felt supported and comforted every step of the way. The kindness, attentiveness, and grace shown by the doctors, practice coordinators, medical assistants, sonographers, nurses, and the lab staff made the whole process an overall positive experience. Every single person my husband and I have interacted with has been patient and encouraging, they really take the time to thoroughly explain the process and answer every question with compassion. We are so grateful for Kindbody!

We had an excellent experience at Kindbody. From the beginning, the team treated us with exceptional care. The staff were warm and professional, keeping us comfortable throughout a journey that can be emotional and stressful. Every step was explained clearly, our questions were always answered, and we felt genuinely supported throughout. We sincerely appreciate their compassion, expertise, and dedication.

I had a good experience with Kindbody throughout the entire process, from the consultation and egg retrieval to becoming pregnant after an IVF transfer. It can be a little difficult to reach the billing department at first, but once treatment began, all the nurses and doctors at the Walnut Creek location were wonderful. They always greeted me with a smile, and I appreciated the visits even though the process was not easy. They even offered small snacks and other extras.

Kindbody is amazing. I trust them most, and they are helping me become pregnant. Although I have not succeeded yet, they will not give up as long as I do not. They are honest and encouraging, thoughtful and caring. I feel they genuinely care about me and my fertility journey, and their expertise is unquestionable. I have visited their Walnut Creek and San Francisco clinics, where the staff, nurses, and my doctor were all wonderful.

I went for a Pulse check today and left with more knowledge than I expected. My doctor was wonderful! I was fortunate that she gave me more time than a typical Pulse appointment, allowing me to discuss my fertility goals comfortably.

Edit: September 29, 2024: They still have not refunded the small amount of $75 they have owed me since July 2023. They are the worst. I told them I had already paid out of pocket, but they did not believe me and still charged me a total of $75, later saying it was only $74.56. A year later, there is still no refund. This clinic is the worst! The worst fertility clinic anyone could visit. I completed three treatment cycles, two of them IUIs, without success. They schedule IUI procedures around the doctor's availability instead of the patient's condition and ovulation. In the end, a PA performed the procedure instead of the doctor they said would do the IUI. Communication is poor in every area. First, they expect you to know what is happening instead of explaining the purpose of repeated ultrasounds and blood draws. They began explaining only after I complained, during my last IUI. Second, they do not communicate internally. The receptionist said I could have an HCG blood test 10 days after IUI, while the doctor and nurse said it should be 14 days afterward. Third, finances. They are terrible at handling payments and refunds. I told them I had met my insurance maximum, but they still charged me three times. The clinic owes me $75 and only began processing the refund after one year. From the date they finally replied, they said processing the check would take 14–16 weeks. Another issue is that they did not bill my husband's insurance for his laboratory panel in December. We therefore kept receiving bills from Natera for nearly $700. Because the clinic failed to process it earlier, it now refuses to address it and expects us to resolve and pay the bill with Natera ourselves. They are the worst. Finally, instead of encouraging patients, giving them hope, assessing their current condition, and explaining better options, they seem to push patients toward IVF because they make a lot of money from the procedure. One more thing: I had a hysteroscopy in December, and the result was “incorrect” or could not be processed. After I said I would sue the company, they said there was insufficient tissue, even though the doctor who performed the procedure told us that a huge polyp had been removed. How could a huge polyp be insufficient for testing? I ultimately had to undergo a very painful biopsy because they could not test the removed polyp. I personally believe they lost the sample and therefore could not perform pathology testing. I am still looking for a good attorney to file a complaint against them. Protect yourself and stay away from this clinic. I wasted a year of my infertility journey with them.

I had a wonderful journey with Kindbody. I will always be grateful to the staff. Having our little girl with us is amazing, and it was all possible because of Kindbody. The staff was kind, the journey was exciting, and I knew we were receiving excellent care. It is a choice for which I will always be grateful. The staff feel like family and truly care about us. Every visit was wonderful. I absolutely love this company. If you are looking for a miracle, try Kindbody. I am honored to have had this experience.

Dr. Ekpo and her team gave us exceptional care throughout our fertility journey. They were helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. It was clear that they are true experts in the field and provided a high level of care at every step. I travel for work and appreciated that Kindbody has offices in cities nationwide to help provide seamless care. Highly recommended.

A very caring and supportive team! Dealing with the finance and billing departments can be a headache, however. I wish they were more responsive, helpful, and thorough.

Round 1 of egg freezing—an overall positive experience. There was no pain, the instructions were clear, and the staff were kind, especially my nurse Stephanie! I never felt alone, and everything seemed organized and transparent. My cycle also produced good results. Pricing was in line with other clinics.
    Mar 11, 2025
The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. Pricing is highly affordable. I was nervous about infertility treatment but felt very welcome and at ease throughout the journey.

    Apr 17, 2025
I had two virtual appointments, and the nurse was late both times. At the first appointment, I waited about 5 minutes past the scheduled time and assumed the delay was an isolated incident. I tried to remain optimistic about fertility treatment with Kindbody. The second time, however, I waited 15 minutes and eventually left the virtual meeting room. I do not know whether Kindbody schedules appointments back-to-back to fill a quota, but it is extremely unprofessional for staff to be routinely late. My negative experience led me to pause any treatment through Kindbody because it has become a dysfunctional clinic. Reproductive health and fertility treatment are extremely important, yet Kindbody sets a very low standard.

I found this clinic professional and well run. I came here for outside monitoring while visiting San Francisco. Everyone was attentive, courteous, and respectful. Communication with my home clinic was prompt and thoughtful. The clinic itself is calming and attractive.

This is for the billing team—the reimbursement process is very slow, and reimbursements are frequently confused or missed. They do not have a phone number, and it takes days or even weeks to receive a simple response. Overall, it is logistically difficult and requires a very organized, patient person to follow up carefully with Kindbody and ensure they actually do what you expect and what they promised. It should not be this difficult.

I received care at Kindbody during both of my pregnancies and will continue working with them. They are both professional and compassionate, a rare combination in this field. If you have the opportunity to work with Angela, she is truly an angel! Erica is excellent at her job and very kind. Dr. Ekpo is a brilliant physician with a great sense of humor. You do not feel like a number, but like a patient they see as a fellow human being. After my first child was born, I brought the baby to meet them, and I will do the same after my second is born because I know they value the relationship we have built. They balance their treatment recommendations with my own wishes very well. Their team is truly excellent.

The Kindbody San Francisco team was incredibly helpful from start to finish. I am very grateful to Dr. Ekpo, Dr. Pedroso, and Erica Keller for their support, care, and professional guidance during my IVF treatment. They were patient and encouraging and always made me feel heard and valued. Thanks to their dedication, I now have my wonderful baby. I am deeply grateful to this team and highly recommend Kindbody to anyone considering fertility treatment.

I am very grateful. The staff treated my partner and me with great respect and consideration. They were professional, efficient, and attentive. From consultation through egg retrieval and transfer, they kept us updated and supported us whenever issues arose. I have recommended this provider to friends in and outside the Bay Area who are on similar journeys, and I especially recommend them if you are seeking people-centered, baby-focused fertility and family-building care.

Infertility is frightening and overwhelming. I am very grateful to have had Kindbody by my side. The team looks beyond the numbers; they truly care and treat you as a person. At any fertility clinic, you must learn to advocate for yourself. I always felt cared for and heard, which is uncommon in healthcare. We are expecting our daughter in January, so we are very thankful to the San Francisco team. They stayed in close contact, helped me deal with a difficult pharmacy, and understood all my frustration. Thank you, Kindbody.
    Nov 12, 2025
I deeply regret going to Kindbody San Francisco. Nearly two years after treatment, I began receiving harassing texts and calls from debt collectors claiming I had unpaid charges, even though I had paid everything in full by credit card at the time. The clinic's billing department has been unresponsive and cannot provide evidence or an explanation for these new charges, which appeared long after my last visit. I have not been to the clinic in over a year and a half, yet I continue to receive collection notices without documentation or clear communication. This feels highly unprofessional and frustrating, especially for a clinic that promotes itself as friendly and supportive. The billing department's lack of transparency and accountability is extremely disappointing. I advise anyone considering this clinic to carefully verify every payment and keep written records because, in my experience, their communication and billing practices are very poor.

The Kindbody clinic and staff are very welcoming and friendly. I have never had such a positive experience at another clinic! They are extremely helpful, explain the options and entire process in detail, and work efficiently, which I really appreciate. All the necessary preparation for my IVF cycle is complete, and I cannot wait to begin. They are very patient and caring. I 100% recommend Kindbody to any woman with fertility concerns, and they also coordinate very well with your employer benefits.

IVF egg retrieval on December 1, 2025 Throughout the process, I received incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and reassuring care. Dr. Ekpo and her care team—including the nurses, medical assistants, sonographers, laboratory staff, and clinic coordinators—were outstanding. I learned so much from the team. They were always willing to answer all my clinical questions and helped me understand the process more deeply. I felt like a friend, not just a number. I feel that I secured a wonderful future for my husband and me, and I am sincerely grateful to the Kindbody SF team!

This was my first pregnancy experience, and I am incredibly glad I chose this clinic. From beginning to end, I felt deeply cared for and fully supported. My nurse, Illy, stayed with me throughout the process and helped me through this difficult journey. Thanks to her, I never felt afraid. Whenever I felt anxious or uneasy, she was there. She was gentle and thoughtful and guided me every step of the way. Dr. Ekpo is an outstanding specialist and a true professional. I sincerely thank her for giving me the opportunity to have a baby. I am deeply grateful to the entire team at Kindbody for helping me achieve my long-awaited pregnancy. I appreciate every nurse who cared for me, drew my blood gently, and made ultrasounds comfortable and painless. Special thanks to Erika for her positive, optimistic attitude. I felt especially comfortable with her, perhaps because she reminded me of my sister. I love the entire Kindbody team and send them my warmest hugs. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to every woman!
