H.I.Tekin is a highly regarded physician known for his successful outcomes, compassion, and approach to patient care. He works with specialist teams from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Turkey, and Greece, all committed to providing patients with the highest possible standard of care.

H.I.Tekin was born on 1962/9/8 in Nicosia, the capital of Northern Cyprus. He attended Tavas Istiklal Primary School. In 1973, he was admitted to Galatasaray High School, where he completed his middle and high school education. In 1987, he completed his education at Istanbul Cerrahpaşa University Faculty of Medicine and soon specialized in forensic medicine. In 1985, he worked for five months with Prof. Dr. C. Prayer in the Endocrine Surgery Division at the University of Lille in France. During 1987-1989, Dr. Tekin served in the emergency department and forensic medicine division of Denizli State Hospital. In 1988, he received a First Aid and Emergency Services Certificate from Ankara Numune Hospital. During 1991-2004, he was on call at Pakize Tarzi Hospital. After completing his studies at Zeynep Kamil Hospital in 1995, he became an obstetrics and gynecology specialist. Dr. Tekin began working at the same hospital's IVF center in 1997 alongside Prof. Laufer, one of the first IVF specialists, as well as Prof. Atasu, Prof. U.Özekici, and Prof. Sahmay. While working there, he obtained his assisted reproductive medicine (ART) license. During 1993-1995, he also conducted animal research on endometriosis at Marmara University.

In 2000, he established the first IVF center in Nicosia, Northern Cyprus, which was also the first Turkish donation center, and worked there until 2004. At the end of that year, he established Northern Cyprus's second IVF center at Famagusta Life Hospital, where he continued working for 10 years.

By 2014, Dr. Tekin had helped 39,841 families realize their dreams. After establishing the Middle East and Balkans Fertility Center in 2004, he began treating patients in the IVF unit at Near East University Hospital.

Dr. Tekin also conducts research on endometriosis and pronuclear transfer between fertilized oocytes from younger and older patients. He is currently involved in animal research with the AM University Association of Animal Testing Laboratories to improve IVF media. He wrote a section in the book Menopause, edited by Prof. Dr. Turgay Atasu. During 1995-2004, Dr. Tekin assisted Prof. Dr. Turgay Atasu, Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at IU CTF.

In 2018, Dr. Tekin served as a consultant at Moscow University's Baku branch. In 2020, he provided technical and scientific support for the establishment of the Cyprus American IVF Center at its opening.

In 2022, he provided medical consultancy for a new IVF center opening in Nasiriyah. Since 2014, he has worked at the British Cyprus Fertility Association clinic at Cyprus Central Hospital in Famagusta, also known as Crown IVF. Dr. H.I.Tekin is a member of prominent scientific associations including ASRM, ESHRE, and Pacific Rims F.A. He has participated in several animal and human studies published in national and international scientific journals.

A father of two, he speaks fluent English, French, Turkish, and Russian. H.I.Tekin, MD, stays current with new fertility medicine research, contributing to Crown IVF's strong success rates.

Other Activities

During 1974-1981, Dr. HIT played basketball for the junior, youth, and senior teams at Galatasaray Sports Club and Galatasaray High School. His high school and club teams achieved 28 national rankings in Turkey. During 1984-2004, he participated at various levels as a coach and manager with the Galatasaray Sports Club youth team, basketball school, and senior team. He is a member of the Galatasaray Club Council and the Galatasaray Former Athletes Association.

During 2007-2010, Dr. HIT trained with the Gecitkale Aeronautical Sports Federation and obtained an NPPL pilot license, followed by a PPL pilot license from Tomahawk Flying School at Larnaca Airport during 2010-2012. During 2016-2018, he served as a board member of the Northern Cyprus Aeronautical Sports Federation. During 2011-2014, he attended the first, second, and third years of the Near East University Faculty of Law.
