H.I.Tekin es un médico muy reconocido por sus resultados exitosos, su compasión y su enfoque de la atención al paciente. Trabaja con equipos de especialistas de Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Canadá, Turquía y Grecia, todos comprometidos con ofrecer a los pacientes el más alto nivel de atención posible.

H.I.Tekin nació el 1962/9/8 en Nicosia, la capital de Chipre del Norte. Asistió a la escuela primaria Tavas Istiklal. En 1973, fue admitido en el instituto Galatasaray, donde completó sus estudios de secundaria y bachillerato. En 1987, terminó sus estudios en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Istanbul Cerrahpaşa y pronto se especializó en medicina forense. En 1985, trabajó durante cinco meses con el Prof. Dr. C. Prayer en la División de Cirugía Endocrina de la Universidad de Lille, en Francia. Durante 1987-1989, el Dr. Tekin trabajó en el servicio de urgencias y la división de medicina forense del Hospital Estatal de Denizli. En 1988, recibió un certificado de Primeros Auxilios y Servicios de Emergencia del Hospital Ankara Numune. Durante 1991-2004, estuvo de guardia en el Hospital Pakize Tarzi. Tras completar sus estudios en el Hospital Zeynep Kamil en 1995, se convirtió en especialista en obstetricia y ginecología. El Dr. Tekin comenzó a trabajar en el centro de FIV del mismo hospital en 1997 junto al Prof. Laufer, uno de los primeros especialistas en FIV, así como los profesores Atasu, U.Özekici y Sahmay. Mientras trabajaba allí, obtuvo su licencia de medicina reproductiva asistida (ART). Durante 1993-1995, también realizó investigaciones animales sobre endometriosis en la Universidad de Marmara.

En 2000, fundó el primer centro de FIV de Nicosia, Chipre del Norte, que también fue el primer centro turco de donación, y trabajó allí hasta 2004. A finales de ese año, fundó el segundo centro de FIV de Chipre del Norte en Famagusta Life Hospital, donde continuó trabajando durante 10 años.

En 2014, el Dr. Tekin había ayudado a 39,841 familias a hacer realidad sus sueños. Tras establecer el Middle East and Balkans Fertility Center en 2004, comenzó a tratar pacientes en la unidad de FIV del Near East University Hospital.

El Dr. Tekin también investiga la endometriosis y la transferencia pronuclear entre ovocitos fecundados de pacientes jóvenes y mayores. Actualmente participa en investigaciones animales con la AM University Association of Animal Testing Laboratories para mejorar los medios de FIV. Escribió una sección del libro Menopause, editado por el Prof. Dr. Turgay Atasu. Durante 1995-2004, asistió al Prof. Dr. Turgay Atasu, director del Departamento de Obstetricia y Ginecología de IU CTF.

En 2018, el Dr. Tekin trabajó como consultor en la sucursal de Bakú de la Universidad de Moscú. En 2020, proporcionó apoyo técnico y científico para la creación del Cyprus American IVF Center en su inauguración.

En 2022, proporcionó asesoramiento médico para la apertura de un nuevo centro de FIV en Nasiriyah. Desde 2014, trabaja en la clínica de la British Cyprus Fertility Association del Cyprus Central Hospital de Famagusta, también conocida como Crown IVF. El Dr. H.I.Tekin es miembro de destacadas asociaciones científicas, como ASRM, ESHRE y Pacific Rims F.A. Otras actividades

Durante 1974-1981, el Dr. HIT jugó al baloncesto en los equipos júnior, juvenil y sénior del Galatasaray Sports Club y del instituto Galatasaray. Sus equipos del instituto y del club alcanzaron 28 puestos en la clasificación nacional de Turquía. Durante 1984-2004, participó en distintos niveles como entrenador y directivo del equipo juvenil, la escuela de baloncesto y el equipo sénior del Galatasaray Sports Club. Es miembro del Consejo del Galatasaray Club y de la Asociación de Antiguos Deportistas del Galatasaray.

Durante 2007-2010, el Dr. HIT se entrenó con la Federación de Deportes Aeronáuticos de Gecitkale y obtuvo una licencia de piloto NPPL, seguida de una licencia PPL de la Tomahawk Flying School del aeropuerto de Lárnaca durante 2010-2012. Durante 2016-2018, fue miembro de la junta directiva de la Federación de Deportes Aeronáuticos de Chipre del Norte. Durante 2011-2014, cursó el primer, segundo y tercer año de la Facultad de Derecho de la Near East University.

Terrible experience! Unprofessional, insensitive, and rude! My husband and I went there for our first ultrasound. This is our first baby, so we were excited. We arrived on time, but the doctor was an hour late! When they brought us in, the doctor did not speak with me beforehand to learn who I was, ask any questions, or give me an opportunity to ask questions. We went directly into the ultrasound. The doctor and two other staff members were present, which felt strange and too crowded for my comfort. This is a private matter. They did not speak to us or explain what they were doing. They talked among themselves and gave us only a sentence or two of information in between. Without any explanation, the doctor simply told me, “I can't find your baby!” Okay—what does that mean?!!! They said we needed to do a transvaginal ultrasound. I did not know what that was, and it was painful. An explanation beforehand would have helped! The doctor again said, “Your baby is missing” and “Miscarriage!!!” Then he said we should test my thyroid. If he had asked me earlier, I would have told him I was taking levothyroxine, but he did not! Then they all left the room!!! We went outside and sat in the hall with no idea what had just happened, what to do next, or whether we still had a baby!!! A few minutes later, after calming myself through tears, I went to speak with the doctor, who was already treating another patient. I asked whether I had lost the baby. He said, “No, we don't know yet. Come back next week!” They may see many pregnant women and babies every day, but I do not care! This is my baby, and I want a doctor who cares and takes the time to explain—not someone who only cares about money.

We absolutely do not recommend this clinic for treatment using your own eggs. The doctor was unable to perform a proper ultrasound, which is crucial. There was no personal attention, and communication during the procedure was quite insensitive. The staff were very friendly, but friendliness should not be confused with personal attention, professionalism, or expertise. For the price you pay, this is not good enough. It is better to seek treatment using your own eggs in Western Europe. They sold us a treatment plan using our own eggs, but because of the poor ultrasound, they seemed interested only in selling us donor eggs. When we declined, they reacted with frustration rather than understanding and support. We sought a second opinion at a clinic in another town, where they found that my eggs were an appropriate size. In short, we wasted time and money. We are very disappointed.

I had a wonderful experience at this IVF clinic. From the moment I entered, the staff made me feel comfortable and cared for. They took the time to explain every step of the process and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. Thanks to their expertise and support, I am now pregnant and my dream of becoming a parent has finally come true. I am very grateful to the entire team and highly recommend this clinic to anyone on a fertility journey!

My donor-egg son is now 4.5 years old, and we thank the wonderful staff at Crown IVF every day! I still cannot believe how smoothly everything went, from our initial conversation at the Leeds fertility center to our winter holiday in the beautiful old city of Famagusta before lockdown. The staff were excellent, especially our lovely patient liaison from Bromley, who kept us updated on fertilization throughout the week and even advised us where to eat. I have recommended Crown many times. One friend I referred had twins after her first attempt with her own eggs. I still feel guilty for giving her double trouble! The total cost—including all medication and a one-week beach holiday for three—was far less than the price of a 10-year-old SEAT Leon. I am skeptical of some of the one-star reviews posted here. Our experience was truly wonderful.

My husband Karl and I flew from the United Kingdom to North Cyprus for in vitro fertilization (IVF) using donor eggs. From beginning to end, we received five-star service. We had been somewhat hesitant about having IVF abroad because of a possible language barrier with clinic staff and coordinators. However, this was not an issue. On our first day of consultation, we met Fatma and quickly learned that she had been born and raised in the United Kingdom but now lived in Cyprus. Fatma is an outstanding member of the team, both professionally and personally. Another concern was the taxi service provided by the coordinator. We mistakenly thought we were paying for the same driver to transport us between the airport, hotel, and clinic. We worried about managing all the arrangements if the driver was absent. Their taxi service is only for the clinic, but the drivers were punctual and efficient, and we definitely recommend using it. We paid the clinic coordinator, who arranged the taxi service again—five stars. Overall, we highly recommend this clinic. After meeting Fatma, all our worries and concerns disappeared. I am deeply grateful to her and think very highly of her. I had read a negative review saying a patient felt like livestock and had a poor experience, which made me uncomfortable. Our experience was nothing like that. From reception to the doctor performing the procedure, all staff were friendly and professional. They have more than 30 years of experience, so you can feel confident in their care.

Unfortunately, my experience with this clinic was disappointing. This was not because of the doctor, who is highly skilled, but because of the coordinator responsible for French patients. Communication was seriously lacking. I usually had to follow up four or five times to receive a response, and sometimes there was no reply for more than 15 days even when I sent messages every day. These delays also affected the search for a donor and significantly slowed the progress of the program. I understand that the coordinator may be very busy, but timely and effective communication is essential for such an important undertaking. We need to arrange leave, book travel, and make plans in advance. Without any response or information about the next steps, it is impossible to plan with confidence. This is truly unfortunate because the doctor is highly skilled. Sadly, due to the lack of follow-up and timely responses, I had to choose another clinic to continue my program. The coordinator there responds the same day or, at the latest, the following day. I sincerely hope this can be improved, as it is damaging the clinic's reputation.
