I chose Washington Fertility Center because of its reputation and was hopeful about receiving care there. Dr. Asmar was knowledgeable, kind, and took the time to answer my questions. My concerns are not with the physician or the medical care I received, but with the administrative experience that ultimately led me to transfer my care. From the beginning, I experienced recurring communication and administrative issues involving prior authorizations, insurance verification, and ultimately the transfer of my medical records. What concerned me most was that these were not isolated incidents, but a pattern that continued over several weeks. From the beginning, I tried to be proactive. I discussed potential prior authorization concerns early, followed up only after allowing reasonable time for responses, and often requested nothing more than confirmation that information had been received or an estimated timeline. I understand healthcare offices are busy and never expected immediate responses or same-day resolutions until the lack was response was going to delay my medical care. My frustration was that I was often left without updates, and when I did learn what was happening, it was frequently because I had contacted my insurance company directly. On multiple occasions, I learned that additional information was needed, information had been submitted incorrectly, or another required step had not yet been completed. I then found myself relaying that information back to the practice in order to keep my care moving forward. At times, even after providing the information needed to move the process forward, I still waited several days without updates while time-sensitive decisions remained pending. Because several of these issues involved cycle-dependent testing and procedures, the communication delays created unnecessary stress and genuine concern that my treatment timeline would be affected. After I transferred my care, similar communication challenges continued during the records transfer process. Although I understood that processing my records would take time, it took multiple follow-ups simply to receive confirmation that my request had been received and an estimated processing timeline. My new fertility specialist was unable to finalize my treatment plan until key diagnostic records were received. Ultimately, I transferred to another practice. Financial and insurance considerations were part of that decision, but by that point the repeated communication and administrative challenges had significantly affected my confidence in continuing my care there. Infertility is already an emotionally, physically, and financially demanding journey. Patients should not feel responsible for coordinating communication between a medical practice, their insurance company, and outside vendors in order to understand what is happening with their care. The communication challenges I experienced during relatively routine administrative processes left me with little confidence in how more time-sensitive aspects of treatment would be managed. I reached out to Dr. Asmar about this directly and genuinely appreciate that he was willing to listen to my feedback. I hope this review is received in the spirit it is intended—not to criticize, but to encourage improvements in communication, care coordination, and administrative processes so future patients have a smoother experience.

WFC has been my second home since 2022! The staff and Dr. Azmar are like family. They have cared for us so well and made us feel at home at every visit! Sometimes I saw them more often than my own family, lol! Our experience at WFC has been wonderful over the years. Today, we are officially pregnant with the only embryo retrieved, and we are incredibly grateful. They will always be part of our family! The journey was not easy, but they never gave up on us! We are deeply thankful!

This facility, its staff, and its doctors—especially Dr. Asmar—are first-rate. They are warm, honest, dedicated, and everything you could want from a fertility center. Their years of experience and credentials speak for themselves, but more importantly, Dr. Asmar treats every patient with compassion, creates an individualized treatment plan for each person's circumstances, and is always gentle and smiling. This is truly the best team of fertility specialists I know, and I highly recommend Washington Fertility Center to anyone hoping to start a family.

Washington Fertility Center is the worst. By phone and in person, they were very unprofessional and disrespectful. They are careless, do not care about you, and only want your money.

I truly do not recommend this clinic. It is extremely expensive and completely unhelpful. Do not waste your savings.

Dr. Asmar and the entire team are professional, welcoming, and helpful. From the moment you enter, it feels like home and everyone’s support is evident. Although many people may come under less-than-ideal circumstances, I strongly recommend WFC for fertility treatment. Carol and Joanna always greet you kindly with smiles. Nurse Bethany is supportive and stays beside you like a friend. Dr. Asmar is reassuring and positive.
