Shady Grove Fertility in Chesterbrook, PA, United States

If I could give Shady Grove a negative rating, I would. I first went there in 2024 for infertility testing. My first ultrasound found a large 10 cm endometrioma, which indicates at least stage III endometriosis. They did not tell me how severe it was or even explain that I had endometriosis—I had to ask. Because I wanted to try alternatives before IVF, they recommended intrauterine insemination (IUI). My doctor specifically told me, “I have no reason to believe IUI will fail.” However, IUI has only a 3% success rate for patients with stage III endometriosis, which they did not disclose. They also did not tell me that the IUI medications were likely to worsen my endometriosis. After the IUI failed, my pain went from barely manageable to making it almost impossible to work. When I raised the fact that I had not been informed about the medication risks before IUI, the staff essentially gaslighted me. I still receive bills for procedures from 2024, and today Shady Grove withdrew $500 from my bank account without my consent. Worse, it is the weekend, and neither their office nor my insurer is open, so I cannot reach anyone. Shady Grove does not care whether you are healthy or whether your fertility is restored. They are willing to damage your body and finances to get you pregnant, potentially without a good outcome. I underwent surgery with Dr. Milburn, a NaPro-certified surgeon, who said I was the worst case he had seen in over a year. It took him 8 hours to repair my body. Meanwhile, Shady Grove was willing to put me through a high-risk pregnancy in that condition without even telling me it would be high risk. There was almost no shared decision-making, little explanation of procedure success rates, and no discussion of medication side effects. Please spend your hard-earned money on a restorative reproductive medicine physician who can help restore your health so you can not only deliver a healthy baby but also care for your child afterward. Women deserve better healthcare. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Dr. Sasson is the kindest and smartest person I have met. Thanks to him, SGF, and the entire staff, I am now the mother of a beautiful baby girl. Dr. Sasson and SGF have made me the happiest person in the world. The clinic is clean, well equipped, and staffed by well-trained employees. I recommend SGF to everyone who needs their services. I would give them 10 out of 10.

This is not my usual SGF location, and I encountered many problems during this visit. I went on a Sunday, which was Mother’s Day. I checked in quickly and was slightly late, but they knew at least 30 minutes in advance because the drive took an hour. First, she checked in the wrong person. As usual, I gave only my first name. She did not ask for my date of birth, last name, or any other information. Her tone seemed impatient, and she immediately told me the check-in was wrong, even though I had explained my process in detail and had never had problems checking in online before previous visits. I even tried to show her my completed thank-you card, but she was not interested and only said the check-in was wrong. A minute later, she called me back to the desk and said I had an unpaid $50 bill from 2025. I was shocked but willing to pay. Just before I handed over my card, I was called to the back. Please note that the person she checked in had a name very similar to mine, but with different spelling and initials—and my name is very difficult to pronounce, with 95% of people saying it incorrectly, so if it sounds like my name, I assume it is me. The blood draw was by far the most painful of my life! I have had blood drawn before, but this hurt ten times more than usual. Before inserting the needle, she asked for my full name and date of birth, and I gave both. She drew my blood—ouch! Then she asked me to confirm the name on the label, and it belonged to a completely different person. I could not believe I had reached this point after checking in and giving my full name and date of birth before they discovered the error. Although everything was eventually resolved, the process was terrible, especially since I was nearly charged someone else’s bill! I must say my ultrasound technician was very kind and explained everything; that was the only satisfactory part of the visit. The front desk did apologize, but personal information truly needs to be verified, and the phlebotomist should have listened when I gave my full name and date of birth. If this were not medical, it might not be a major issue because everyone makes mistakes, but this should not happen! The clinic was clean, so I have no complaints there, but most of my interactions with staff were unpleasant. It made me appreciate my experiences at the Bethlehem location even more.

Dr. Schumacher is amazing! She is very understanding and explains the treatment process clearly. The staff are wonderful, and the clinic’s facilities and location are convenient.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Shady Grove Fertility, Dr. Schumacher, and Nurse Chelsea. At my previous clinic, I felt like a number being passed around, with no doctor who truly understood my case. At Shady Grove, you matter, and the nurses are amazing. They respond promptly and gave me tremendous support during difficult times. After 7 failed IUIs at our previous clinic, we knew it was time to switch. After 2 egg retrievals and 4 transfers, we now have an adorable two-month-old baby boy, thanks to Dr. Schumacher for not giving up on us. She took the time to find the best treatment plan. The entire Shady Grove staff supported us when we felt discouraged. Thanks to SGF, our lives have changed completely. Even when the road feels long and difficult, never give up hope! Special thanks to the front desk staff, who remembered me and gave me so much support!!

I have had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Schumacher at Shady Grove for five years. During that time, I built my family through IVF and now have three wonderful children. When I first came to Shady Grove, I was exhausted from infertility treatment at another facility, where I felt like just a number. My hopes had been dashed repeatedly, but my first consultation with Dr. Schumacher was deeply reassuring. She spent nearly an hour speaking with me and created a treatment plan that put me at ease. Choosing Shady Grove was the best decision I ever made, and I will always be grateful that they helped me build my family.

After a heartbreaking setback, we found Dr. Sasson and Shady Grove Fertility. Our frozen eggs were unfortunately lost during thawing at Main Line Fertility, a clinic I strongly recommend avoiding. We were under Dr. Maureen Kelly's care at the time, but the difference in care and service between her clinic and Shady Grove Fertility was night and day. From the moment Dr. Sasson appeared, he was genuine, compassionate, and calm—exactly what we needed after such a devastating loss. He helped us regroup, recover, and believe again that parenthood was still possible. Our fertility journey was not easy, and I truly cannot imagine going through it without this team. Everyone at Shady Grove Fertility Chesterbrook was kind, supportive, attentive, and genuinely invested in our success. At one point, we truly did not know whether we would ever become parents—and now, thanks to this exceptional clinic, we are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. I wish we had found Dr. Sasson and his team sooner, but I am incredibly grateful that we eventually did. They are the best in the area, and we will always be grateful for everything they did for our family.

I had an excellent experience at Shady Grove Fertility. Dr. Sasson and his team were very caring. I had previously received treatment at another clinic, then transferred to Shady Grove and ultimately became pregnant. My husband and I welcomed a beautiful daughter last May. I am very grateful to Dr. Sasson and his team for helping us become parents.

Interestingly, my doctor did not initially prescribe metformin for my PCOS. After I moved to RMA New Jersey, the doctor prescribed metformin immediately, and I conceived naturally. Regardless of my A1c level, metformin should have been the first-line treatment. Their handling of my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance was also terrible—the worst experience of my life. They had me begin a new medicated IUI cycle, only for my insurer to tell me halfway through that the cycle had not been approved. I had to pay out of pocket for charges both sides had originally approved. I would not recommend Shady Grove even if it were the last fertility clinic on earth. Go to RMA New Jersey; they genuinely wanted me to become pregnant, unlike Shady Grove.

Dr Sasson and his team have helped make my family complete! We were referred to Dr. Sasson in 2021 and since then has helped us grow our family which now consists of a 3 year old son and identical twin girls. We are so thankful and cannot recommend him enough!

After several difficult IVF cycles, we transferred to Dr. Isaac Sasson at SGF Chesterbrook. Our previous doctor had a good reputation, but we felt like a number and received a standard, one-size-fits-all protocol. Another patient recommended Dr. Sasson, and from our second consultation onward, everything changed. Dr. Sasson was compassionate, generous with his time, and thoughtful about our unique case. Although we live several hours from Chesterbrook, we immediately decided to transfer. Words cannot describe the confidence—and the feeling of being valued and heard—that we experienced under his care. The journey was difficult, but we ultimately became pregnant and now have a beautiful daughter. We cannot express how grateful we are to Dr. Sasson and his team for their help and care throughout our path to parenthood!

How can I give only five stars? Dr. Sasson and my nurse Brittany gave me my baby boy!! My case was complicated, and he approached it like a detective! I am so grateful to all the providers and to my nurse—and of course Dr. Sasson! Honestly, I could not have done it without Brittany. Love you all!!

Shady Grove is amazing! I had visited several clinics before but did not like the atmosphere or how treatment was progressing. Dr. Sasson is the most intelligent and compassionate doctor I have met, and he truly listens to his patients. I felt very safe in his care, and I believe that was one reason our first IVF cycle succeeded! We now have a beautiful baby boy, and I will always be grateful to Shady Grove and Dr. Sasson! We also frequently saw Dr. Kallen in Philadelphia for ultrasounds—he and the Philadelphia team were excellent.

Working with Dr. Sasson was wonderful. He is very kind, approachable, and reassuring, especially during such an anxiety-filled stage of life. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with him. Everyone at Shady Grove was excellent. They were all very kind and knowledgeable about every stage of treatment. I would recommend SGF to anyone.

We had an excellent experience at SGF! Dr. Marchetto was knowledgeable, approachable, and compassionate, as were all the nurses and staff.

I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and possibly silent endometriosis. I really like this clinic. It is clean, and everyone is very kind. I had three failed intrauterine inseminations (IUIs), followed by one embryo transfer (ER) and two frozen embryo transfers (FETs). Although I am only 6 weeks pregnant after the second FET, I am very grateful to the entire clinic staff for the care they have always given me. Over the past two and a half years of treatment, I have truly felt that Dr. Sasson and the nurses care deeply about my health. They never pressured me into treatment and always checked on me when I took breaks. They helped adjust my medications and answered all my questions. I especially find Dr. Sasson very knowledgeable. Many doctors might simply have tried once more, but he suspected silent endometriosis and adjusted my treatment plan. I am grateful to him because I believe that is why the second FET succeeded. I had Progyny coverage, which covered many of the costs and made treatment easier. My husband and I are very satisfied with the clinic's services.

My wife and I both had an excellent experience! Everyone was very professional and made us feel completely at ease. My wife's procedure was completed very quickly; everything moved so fast that I could hardly believe it. We are very glad we chose Shady Grove!

We tried several times to begin treatment at this clinic. Each time, the front desk staff were extremely unpleasant, unwelcoming, arrogant, and rude. The treatment process is already complex and emotional, and it is unfortunate that they made us feel inferior simply for wanting to understand their procedures.

First, I want to acknowledge that I came here with very, very high expectations. I also want to emphasize that at a place like this, you naturally expect compassion, care, and understanding... but they always smile while focusing only on money. They listen to you and all your concerns, then collect payment for various treatments only after repeated follow-up. They are extremely cold and uncaring toward women with severe PCOS or even women who have just had their first period. They pretended to listen to me, then prescribed exactly the same medication I had taken before, even though I had already told them it did not work for me and I did not want to take it again. Then they ignored me for weeks!! Completely unprofessional!! They even had the nerve to say they would call back... After more than a week without contact, they called to say they were dismissing me from the clinic, despite having already collected more than $600 from me for treatment! I can now say very honestly that yes, I was angry, frustrated, hurt, and felt deceived. I could not believe that a place I thought would bring me the greatest good could treat a client this way. Dr. Marchetto, her boss Amy, assistant Amanda, and another person whose name I cannot recall do not care about you; they care only about how much money they can make. Dealing with cryopreservation has been extremely discouraging and frustrating, and the billing issue is still unresolved. Very disappointing.

The embryo transfer that lasted all day. I came in on 1/12/26 for my embryo transfer at the Chesterbrook location at 11:00AM. Dr. Shoemaker, Lisa, Erin, Danielle, and one other woman that I can not remember her name were relentless in successfully completing my transfer at 3:00PM. These woman were not going to give up on me. I was absolutely overwhelmed by love and support. I could not possibly thank you each enough! I will absolutely never forget your passion and determination. Thank you so much ❤️

The SGF clinic in Chesterbrook exceeded all my expectations. The staff were always welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Special thanks to Morgan, Sarah, and London for their patience and encouragement throughout treatment. Dr. Sasson provided outstanding care—he was kind and calm, explained everything in detail, and answered all our questions. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering egg freezing or any IVF treatment.

My experience at Shady Grove was excellent. The staff were warm and welcoming. Everything was clearly explained. We never felt pressured or rushed. Contacting the doctor and scheduling appointments were easy. My team was wonderful. I am due to have my baby in month 12. I had tried for years, and other doctors told me it might not be possible. But after a 30-minute consultation and 4 months of treatment and testing, we finally conceived. I highly recommend this place.

I highly recommend this clinic. The care, kindness, and attentiveness are unmatched. Dr. Sasson is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. He listened carefully to every concern and symptom and did not stop until he found the root cause. He is truly special and can make you feel comfortable within minutes. All the nurses are top-notch and very attentive. I will always be grateful for SGF's care!

I had an interview scheduled with Bianca McConney from the talent team. We agreed on a date and time for an interview for the financial advisor position, but I never received a call or email. I first emailed 5 minutes after the scheduled time to confirm, then called for another 10 minutes with no answer. It has now been 30 minutes with no follow-up. This interview interaction was very unprofessional: the recruiter was late and never contacted me afterward. I will not consider this company again. Update: I received a voicemail saying I was not on the interview schedule, even though I had added the appointment confirmation. I suggest not allowing candidates to schedule themselves from time slots if the calendars are not synchronized.

One of the best fertility clinics. They communicate with each patient individually and conduct a very thorough examination to find out what the cause is. You will get the desired result on the first try.

Seven years later, I suddenly started receiving emails saying that I owed money. In 2018, I was happy to be done with Shady Grove, but now I need to share my opinion. I deeply regret going to Shady Grove in Chesterbrook. Please remember that this is a business and you are a customer. My ex-wife desperately wanted a child and was willing to do anything, and Shady Grove was her choice. The decision-makers at this clinic should be ashamed.

I cannot say enough good things about Shady Grove Chesterbrook! From the receptionists, who made me feel like more than a number, to the excellent technicians who performed my blood draws and ultrasounds, and Dr. Schumacher, I sincerely thank everyone who made our impossible dream possible. The women in the operating room were also amazing! Graduating from SGF is bittersweet because I know we are moving into the next phase, but I will miss the wonderful women who held my hand throughout the journey.

We had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove. Everyone on the care team took our treatment plan very seriously, responded promptly to portal messages, and stayed in contact throughout the process. When we began infertility treatment, we were stressed and overwhelmed, but everyone was exceptional, from Dr. Schumacher, the nurse practitioners, nurses, phlebotomists, and finance department to the front-desk receptionists! Fortunately, our treatment was successful, and we are expecting twins this winter!

Every visit, appointment, phone call, and interaction made me feel incredibly comfortable and reassured. I no longer felt like just a patient or a number to them. They did not overwhelm me with generic information or statistics, but provided genuine, thoughtful care. From the front desk to Dr. Sasson, everyone made me feel important and fully supported in my treatment journey. Every step was explained thoroughly, and we proceeded at my pace. Messages sent through the portal received immediate, friendly replies. I felt that they genuinely had my best interests at heart instead of simply pushing their own plan, unlike my previous fertility clinic. I will always be grateful that they brought this little miracle to our family. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs guidance on their fertility journey. Every employee at the Chesterbrook clinic will make you feel important and confirm that you came to the right place. Infertility is difficult, but Shady Grove made it easier.

I was a known egg donor through SGF, so my experience with everyone was viewed through a very professional lens, but every person I encountered was wonderful. The women at the front desk were warm and friendly every day I came in. Every blood test and ultrasound made me feel reassured that everything was going well. I especially have to thank Lisa in the operating room. She prepared me and helped me recover from the egg retrieval, and she is such a caring person. She made me feel comfortable, listened carefully, and supported me when I needed it. She is an absolute queen!
