We had an excellent infertility consultation with Dr. Handelsman. We learned a great deal about treatment and infertility. He was knowledgeable and approachable, and we felt relaxed throughout. All the staff were very friendly! We conceived naturally after the consultation, so we did not continue at the clinic. I joke that Dr. Handelsman was our lucky charm. In any case, many thanks to the clinic staff and doctor!

My husband and I had an excellent experience at HRC Fertility Encino. We sincerely thank Dr. Boostanfar and his team for their attentive care and support throughout the process. What impressed us most was how closely they monitored my condition. My medication dosages were adjusted in real time based on my response, which was very reassuring and made me feel well cared for. Diana and Mei were extremely responsive and efficient in confirming my medication plan. They always explained each step clearly, making the process more reassuring. Their communication was timely, clear, and very helpful. We are very pleased with the outcome and sincerely appreciate the entire team's attention to detail and professionalism. We would definitely recommend HRC to anyone undergoing fertility treatment.

Dr Woo is absolutely amazing! She really focused on me and my body, and what would work best for it. She is compassionate AND a type A, which I so appreciated! I can't speak highly enough about her. My first clinic was the exact opposite. Keep advocating for yourself and find someone who asks questions with you. Dr Woo was that for me.

Dr. Boostanfar and Sophie were an incredibly hands-on, supportive team, and I truly can’t thank them enough. From our very first consultation, Dr. B made a lasting impression. One of the first things he said to me was, “I don’t believe in unexplained infertility,” and he meant it. He took the time to run thorough testing and was able to identify what was going on. Thanks to him, we are now expecting our baby girl—something we will always be grateful for. Dr. B is everything I hoped for in a doctor and more. He made sure I fully understood every test and procedure, and always kept me informed every step of the way. His level of care and attention is truly unmatched. His team is just as incredible. Sophie was my absolute saving grace throughout this journey. She is patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely at ease during every appointment. That meant more to me than I can express. The entire HRC team made such a difference in our experience. The front desk staff was always warm and welcoming, and the phlebotomists were wonderful. Carla and Daisy consistently made my blood draws quick, comfortable, and as painless as possible. I could go on for hours about how much I love HRC, Dr. B, and Sophie. If you’re looking for a fertility doctor who is truly dedicated to helping you achieve your dream of having a baby, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. B. And if you want a clinic that makes you feel supported and at home every step of the way, HRC is the place to go.

I previously had a very good experience with my doctor here, but she moved away. I now want to transfer my embryos to another clinic, and HRC has been ignoring me. I submitted the request form two months ago, but there has been no progress. They do not answer calls or respond to emails. Their service was good when I was spending tens of thousands of dollars at HRC, but now that I want to leave, they treat me like their least important client.

My experience with HRC Fertility was very disappointing. They provided no meaningful help throughout the process and repeatedly ordered basic tests we had already completed elsewhere at much lower cost. Worse, they never clearly explained the costs in advance. They immediately billed our insurance for multiple services and also charged us at every visit. Months later, we received additional bills requiring us to pay out of pocket for more of the same routine tests. No one had warned us that these tests would generate extra charges. This felt unfair and misleading. Had we known the actual costs, we would never have agreed to repeat the tests there. Overall, it seemed they cared more about maximizing insurance billing and charges than about helping us. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic. Do not waste your time or money here; there are much better treatment centers available.

It is impossible to schedule by phone. K also scheduled an appointment once, but when we arrived, they said it was not in the system and told us to return another time because they were fully booked.

Dr. Boostanfar and his team at HRC Fertility are wonderful. From our first consultation, they were honest and showed the expertise, empathy, and patience we greatly needed because we were very nervous. Team members Jennie Hermoso, Sophie Lee, Angela Ho, Shanise Asheim, and everyone else we met supported us throughout. They always answered emails and calls promptly, never made us feel neglected, and gave us comprehensive support. They are truly professional. This was our second fertility journey, and we were thrilled to welcome twin boys. HRC Fertility was distinctly different from our previous clinic, which felt cold and transactional. Dr. Boostanfar and his team accompanied us throughout. We highly recommend HRC-Encino and Dr. Boostanfar to couples hoping to build a family. Dr. Wu and nurse coordinator Rebecca Esmeralda were rude and lacked communication and compassion. Rebecca consistently replied late, and Dr. Wu would not even turn on video during Zoom meetings. Please do not choose this branch or clinic. We wasted months with them and hope management takes this seriously. After reading all the one-star reviews, I now understand why this clinic is so poor. We have decided to transfer elsewhere. I strongly advise against this clinic.

I called Bloom OB-GYN and told the front desk I was looking for an OB-GYN and wanted a consultation to see whether the clinic and doctor were right for me and my pregnancy. I met Dr. Sodhi, who was cold and spoke stiffly to me because I was a new patient. When I asked about the practice, she would not even explain it. Her attitude became unfriendly when I said I was still looking for the right OB-GYN. She then wanted to perform an ultrasound even though I had told her I had one on Monday, just two days before the visit. I thought it would still be nice to see my baby and hear the heartbeat 🙏🏾. I left saying I wanted to discuss it with my partner. She told me she had many patients and no time for me. I politely thanked her, apologized for taking her time, and left the exam room. Her receptionist then said I owed a $108 copay. I was confused and angry because I had clearly said on arrival that I was only there for a consultation, and the receptionist said they understood. Why did I owe $108 for a consultation? The doctor did nothing except speak with me and ask questions. Dr. Sodhi and her clinic are a scam. I will never return or recommend them. They charge a $275 administrative fee. Are you serious? Why charge someone who needs medical help even more, especially when you are also billing their insurance? My experience was terrible. Extremely disappointing.

There is no empathy, and the office disappears for days around every holiday, delaying progress. The finance department does not return emails or calls. They force you to have blood tests there instead of using insurance and charge about $150 per test. No one seems to enjoy working there, and it shows in how they treat patients. I absolutely do not recommend this clinic.

Dr. Peck is my IVF "fairy godmother." Because of her, I am now pregnant with the healthy baby I have wanted for nearly ten years. In 2016, at age 36, I consulted Dr. Peck and froze my eggs—one of the wisest decisions of my life, thanks to her encouragement, support, and attentive care. We retrieved and froze 11 mature eggs. Two years ago, my husband and I decided to complete several more retrievals to increase my egg reserve because I could still ovulate this way and our insurance covered the cost. Before every retrieval, Dr. Peck greeted me warmly, and each time I woke up, she held my hand, shared the good news, and told me I had done wonderfully. Dr. Peck has always been my strongest supporter. She is optimistic, professional, and practical. She explained everything in great detail and answered all my questions. She always made me feel we were a team, encouraged me to trust my instincts and my body, and did everything she could to help. Both medically and emotionally, Dr. Peck helped me achieve my dream of motherhood. She is experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about her work. She is always cheerful and kind and, most importantly, provides realistic expectations. I am thrilled to share that I am 10 weeks pregnant after my first embryo transfer and have 3 healthy, PGT-tested embryos frozen for future transfers. Dr. Peck turned my dream of a healthy baby into a beautiful reality. I will always be grateful that she accompanied me through this long journey and did everything possible to help me achieve it. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Woo and her nurse Rebecca at HRC Fertility. After four failed cycles at another clinic, my partner and I decided to try once more at HRC. It was the best decision we made—we became pregnant after our first embryo transfer! Dr. Woo is knowledgeable and patient. She took time to explain every step of treatment clearly, which reassured me. She listened carefully and supported me throughout. Rebecca was also outstanding. She was attentive, compassionate, and quick to respond to my questions and concerns. Her communication was always timely and thoughtful, making the process much easier. Overall, they are an excellent team. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care greatly improved my treatment experience, and I am sincerely grateful. I highly recommend them to anyone undergoing fertility treatment. My only wish is that Dr. Woo could be my primary physician—she is truly wonderful.

I recently saw Dr. Handelsman for egg freezing, and he was kind and approachable throughout. His coordinator Sophie was also warm and friendly. During this emotionally difficult process, they made me feel heard and understood. I especially appreciated that Dr. Handelsman never exaggerated and was always honest. My egg retrieval was scheduled for Thanksgiving Day. Although I had to go to Pasadena for the procedure, Dr. Handelsman still came! I was touched and reassured that he was there to care for me. I adore Dr. Sami Isaac Jabara and his nurse Diana!! My doctor was the most caring throughout my IVF journey, and I will always be grateful to him. My nurse Diana was also amazing! I always had many questions, and she was consistently available. My entire IVF process went very smoothly.

We had the best experience at HRC Fertility. From our first meeting with Dr. Tourgeman, we knew we had found the right person. He patiently explained every step in detail, greatly easing our anxiety about the process. His coordinator, Abby, was also extremely helpful. She always responded promptly to my emails and requests and went above and beyond to assist us. Everyone at the clinic was warm and friendly. We are very pleased with our experience and cannot wait to return in a few years for our second baby.

My wife recently completed an IVF cycle, and we had an amazing journey. She was very anxious initially, but Dr. B reassured us and sincerely shared his knowledge and expertise. He was confident and knew what he was doing, exactly what a doctor should be. Our coordinator Angela was kind and patiently answered all my questions because this was entirely new to me. She communicated very well, sent detailed instructions, and kept us updated at each step. Her positivity was wonderful. Denise, our ultrasound technician, was kind and gentle during scans. Nine years ago, I began my journey at HRC. Today, with my five-year-old son and ten and a half weeks pregnant, I graduated from the fertility clinic. Words cannot express my love and gratitude for Dr. Peck and Jennifer. From the beginning, Dr. Peck was knowledgeable, thorough, approachable, proactive, and open-minded. She always supported me physically and emotionally throughout my treatment plans and procedures. She prayed for me, held my hand, communicated proactively, and stayed beside me through every step of this unexpectedly long and difficult journey. Her careful, meticulous approach assured me that she had done everything possible, that my health was always well cared for, and that I was moving toward success. Now I have finally succeeded. My coordinator, Jennifer, is the most thoughtful, attentive, supportive, responsive, and organized person. She answered urgent messages, listened to every thought and concern, comforted me with love during difficult times, and kept me grounded throughout the process. Leaving HRC feels like leaving a small family, not just an outstanding reproductive medicine assistant and coordinator. Both will always hold a special place in my heart. Fertility treatment is difficult, and I will always be grateful to them.

Dr. Boostanfar is an amazing doctor—one of the best in town. If you want a child, he will help you have one regardless of your circumstances. They are very organized. My IVF coordinator, Sophie, is intelligent, kind, and organized. The entire team is wonderful, and Sophie is the best. She guided me step by step through my IVF journey and answered immediately whenever I called. She is one of the smartest and most professional people I have met. In short, if you want a child, Dr. Boostanfar and his team will help you have one. A friend told me that many children at her child's daycare were conceived with Dr. Boostanfar's help. He is a very intelligent doctor. If you want IVF and success on the first attempt, choose Dr. Boostabfar. Every friend I know succeeded on their first IVF attempt with Dr. Boostabfar.

A journey full of surprises. I am an older patient with uterine cysts and had a previous failed experience in Malaysia. However, Dr. Boostanfar and his assistant Sophie gave me tremendous support and encouragement and, most importantly, offered an effective solution. Throughout treatment, Sophie always responded promptly and effectively to my concerns and questions, while Dr. Boostanfar moved the testing forward efficiently and quickly proposed the most suitable treatment plan. Of course, no plan can guarantee 100% success, but I was fortunate to achieve results beyond my expectations.

As an Intended Parent, I chose Dr Boostanfar (after visiting a handful of IVF clinics on west and east coasts) because he was professional and effective. All my conversations with Dr Boostanfar and his team were "right to the point", science-based, without sugar-coating, which is a style i appreciate a lot. The first embryo transfer was not successful and Dr Boostanfar and his team took the time to investigate before drawing any conclusion or recommending next steps immediately, and that gave me the confidence for proceeding with the second - which was successful and I'm now holding my baby girl! Beyond Dr Boostanfar, the coordinators Shanise and Mei addressed all my needs timely along this journey and I'm always thankful for their support and help. I do think their billing process and accounting numbers are not flawless and i did spend a couple rounds clarifying some billing questions, so you gotta have some patience and attention to details when you get the bills from HRC Encino. This is a watch-out for whoever choosing this clinic in future. However this does not compromise the fact that Dr Boostanfar and his team was my best decision.

I had such a wonderful experience here. Sophie is amazing and really took the time to make sure I was doing alright throughout the process and answered any question or concerns. Dr. B is also so great. He explained everything thoroughly and made me feel so comfortable. They are the reason this process was so easy and enjoyable. Cannot recommend them enough.

Writing this review is not easy. In fact, it took us nearly two years to finally put our experience into words. Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Boostanfar at HRC Fertility showed a clear lack of compassion, transparency, ethics, and honesty. From the beginning, our treatment plan seemed driven by profit rather than genuine medical care. We felt rushed into procedures without proper transparency or preparation, and our concerns were dismissed. One of the most troubling parts of our experience was the misinformation we received about genetic testing. HRC strongly pushed us toward an out-of-network genetic testing center without disclosing that an in-network facility was available. This was likely not in our best interest. Using it would have cost us thousands of dollars. Such manipulation is unethical and unacceptable, especially in such a sensitive field. Even more devastating was the outcome of the IVF cycle itself. Despite the physical and emotional roller coaster, the process produced three embryos that did not develop. We were told that one had only one set of DNA, indicating a serious problem from the start, but none of this was explained beforehand. More painfully, we later learned that our health circumstances made us poor candidates for IVF, something Dr. Boostanfar never honestly told us. Instead of giving us candid, professional advice, they let us spend thousands of dollars, invest our hopes, and undergo treatment that was unlikely to succeed from the outset. IVF is already emotionally, physically, and financially difficult. The last thing anyone should face is a clinic that treats patients as dollar signs rather than people. I hope our story helps others find honest, ethical providers who genuinely care about patient well-being.

The staff here are extremely unprofessional and rude. When you call, you can tell they hate their jobs.

Worst clinic ever. They care only about the intended parents' money.

I chose HRC because its egg-freezing prices were competitive. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Peck and my care coordinator Jennifer. Dr. Peck explained the entire egg-freezing process and what to expect at each stage. During every ultrasound, she turned the screen so I could watch as she measured and counted my follicles. She included me in the process and kept me updated on what she was doing. She was very kind and did an excellent job as my doctor throughout. I felt safe in her hands. Jennifer was excellent at scheduling appointments and provided very thorough information about my medication doses and schedule. She answered my questions by email and responded very promptly. For the financial side of the process, I strongly recommend speaking with Paul. Any elective fertility procedure can be very expensive and is often not covered by insurance. Paul sat down with me and answered my many questions about costs, payment options, and insurance versus out-of-pocket expenses. He was thoughtful and wrote out a detailed price breakdown for every aspect of each option. Ultimately, there were no hidden fees, contrary to some other reviews I read. It depends on the option or package you choose, because they do not all include the same things. It also varies if you add extras, such as a full genetic panel. Be sure to ask about your options when you go. Overall, I am very glad I chose HRC and Dr. Peck's team.

I highly recommend HRC Fertility! From beginning to end, our experience with this incredible team was outstanding. Dr. Allison Peck is truly remarkable. Her compassionate bedside manner and genuine care made every visit reassuring and positive. Her expertise and support were invaluable throughout our journey. Special thanks to our IVF coordinator, Jennifer Montoya, who was a delight. Her dedication, approachability, willingness to answer every question, and graceful handling of all scheduling issues made a major difference in our experience. The kindness and warmth of the entire office staff deserve praise. As an LGBT couple, we felt completely welcomed and respected at every step. We deeply appreciate their acceptance and support, which made a challenging process more manageable. If you are seeking fertility assistance, HRC Fertility is an excellent choice. Their exceptional care and unwavering support will make a difference in your journey.

My wife and I underwent three IVF cycles at HRC Encino. The process was expensive, complex, stressful, and difficult, which we expected and which does not affect my review. One issue prompted me to write it: inaccurate and misleading communication. At the beginning, they told us what we wanted to hear, got us to open our wallets and proceed, then changed their story at the end. If we had known from the beginning how they would handle our eventual situation, I would have $60,000 more in my bank account. We both carry a rare recessive genetic condition affecting vision. We were advised to have a third-party company create a custom genetic probe for us at a cost of $13,000. During the process, we asked whether we could skip testing entirely and accept the risk, as we had consulted geneticists at NIH and understood the possible outcomes. They said, "Yes, as long as you sign a waiver." We asked whether, if an embryo tested positive, we could decide to use any affected embryo. We were told, "Yes, if you consult a genetic counselor and speak with the doctor." After the first cycle, we had 8 fertilized embryos, but only 1 survived. This was a turning point that led us to repeat the same questions above to ensure we were in agreement, and we were assured that this would be our choice. After the third cycle, we sent 5 embryos for testing. Three tested positive, 1 had an inconclusive result, and 1 was untested because of a biopsy issue. After nearly a year and more than $60,000, we asked to use the two embryos without definitive test results. We were explicitly told we would not be allowed to use them because the clinic was uncomfortable with it. All we received was, "I sincerely apologize for any confusion my role may have caused." As noted above, had we known this at the beginning, we would never have agreed to proceed. We explicitly asked all these questions and received written answers. This was not faulty memory or a lack of attention to detail on our part.

Very bitter and not tasty at all.

tl;dr: There are better options in the area. Their disorganization and overcharging caused me tremendous stress. Their financial department is a scam. Despite excellent insurance coverage, they charged me extra fees. At another clinic later, I was not charged any of these fees and had significantly better results. They are disorganized and do not provide timely instructions about medication timing and dosage. Their surgical center is downstairs. Although the clinic, HRC Encino, and the surgeon performing the procedure were in network, the center is out of network for many insurance plans. They charged me $1,000 for a hysteroscopy that should have been covered 100% by insurance. They also failed to provide a valid itemized receipt until I called and emailed more than 5 times. I needed the receipt to obtain $1,000 in reimbursement from my FSA. The financial department frequently caused delays. Authorizations were not obtained promptly. IVF is time-sensitive, and they did everything possible to make the process more stressful and painful than necessary. I deeply regret not researching more carefully and not taking the other reviews here seriously.
