There was nothing unpleasant about this experience. From the beginning, everything was explained very clearly, and we learned about all the available options. The navigator service was definitely one of the best parts of the experience. Kirsty was truly outstanding. She was always kind, supportive, and helpful. She followed up after every visit and provided tremendous help with everything from developing the treatment plan to answering questions. I will really miss the navigator service when we transition to obstetric care. During our time at the clinic, we met every doctor there, and they were all excellent. Physician assistant Allison was also wonderful—she patiently answered all our questions and was very understanding. Today we officially transitioned to obstetric care, and I will truly miss this team. If we decide to have another child in the future, I look forward to the opportunity to work with them again.

I had my first IVF cycle two years ago and miscarried at 12 weeks. I later returned to this IVF clinic for a second embryo transfer, and this time it worked! I had a baby boy. The clinic was very transparent about costs, insurance coverage, and the entire process. I loved their scheduling system because it helped me coordinate my cycle around work. I really liked the clinic staff, including the coordinators I never met in person. They were very helpful in answering any questions throughout the process. I think this clinic did an excellent job. Depending on my schedule, I saw different clinicians, including doctors and physician assistants. The program was well organized, the clinicians were highly skilled, results were communicated promptly, and the coordinators provided strong emotional support.

Horrible company to be a surrogate for, I supposedly got denied because I didn’t pass my psych test. They claimed that they would explain why I didn’t pass. I have explained to Kellie Kraus. That I have passed a psych test in less than a year for a different company and she didn’t care. She didn’t even bother pulling medical records or anything. Such a waste of time and horrible staff doing the psych test, be prepared to started your meeting more than 10 mins late & not get your results for anything.

My experience at Pinnacle Fertility was excellent. IVF is a long journey that rarely goes smoothly. It brings many physical and emotional challenges, so a strong support system is essential. Everyone I met at Pinnacle was kind, genuine, and compassionate. My coordinator Yanley always responded promptly to every question or concern. Her answers were thoughtful and thorough, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about me and my case. She supported me when things were difficult and was the first to celebrate with me when they went well! I felt the same about physician assistant Alison. She was skilled and kind, never rushed me, and always answered my questions patiently. You could tell she was genuinely happy for us and celebrated with us. I also loved the laboratory technician. She always made me laugh and encouraged me with positive stories. I truly enjoyed talking with her and always felt relaxed around her. Finally, Dr. Z was our doctor, and he helped us become pregnant! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Pinnacle Fertility. Their nurse navigation system is excellent, and Kirsty is the absolute best. She made a potentially overwhelming process easy and smooth, and helped me feel genuinely comfortable at every step. Every doctor we met—Allison Abbey, Dr. Zoneraich, and Dr. Larson—was caring and knowledgeable and always took time to ensure we felt supported and understood our progress. The entire clinic staff was equally outstanding. Appointments were always on time, and communication and scheduling were simple. You can tell this team truly cares about its patients. Although I am happy to be referred back to my OB-GYN, I am very sad to leave such a wonderful team. We had a great experience. We really liked our physician, Dr. Larsen. He was attentive and responsible, answered all our questions with his extensive knowledge and experience, and respected our wishes.

I am writing this review only after completing treatment at Pinnacle Fertility in Arizona and consulting legal counsel. Errors and failures in the clinic's medical care directly caused serious complications requiring emergency hospitalization and surgery. These outcomes were not unforeseeable; they resulted from shortcomings in care, communication, and oversight. Care coordination was clearly inadequate during and after this medical emergency. Critical information related to informed consent, treatment decisions, and ongoing care was delayed, changed after the fact, or provided only after I submitted a written complaint. When complications occurred during treatment, I did not receive the medical support I should have received. Instead, I encountered administrative disorder and a lack of clinical accountability. Rather than providing corrective or continuing care, the clinic terminated my treatment. This decision was made while I was recovering from surgery, delaying necessary follow-up care, coordination, and resolution of pending treatment matters. Interrupting care at such a critical time compounded the harm. Billing and reimbursement issues also reflected these broader failures. Verbal commitments were later reversed in writing, requiring escalation to enforce arrangements that had already been approved. Fertility treatment carries significant medical and ethical responsibilities, especially when a patient has been harmed. In my experience, this clinic failed to meet those responsibilities. I will not return or recommend it.

The clinic is very clean and well maintained. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and kind. The doctor patiently explained every step to my husband and me and answered all my questions. The phlebotomist was also patient and attentive. I am very pleased with and grateful to the clinic and its staff.

Pinnacle Fertility was thoughtful and attentive throughout our fertility journey. We live in Flagstaff and appreciated their flexibility with our travel needs. Dr. Larsen is very knowledgeable, and the whole team is extremely LGBTQ+ friendly!

When you first start searching for the best clinic for your IVF journey, it can feel overwhelming and even frightening. You do not want to choose the wrong one. You want the best care, especially when paying entirely out of pocket. This clinic is amazing! Dr. Peterson was my primary doctor and everything I wanted in a physician. He is kind, understanding, and direct. He always outlined my options and explained why one might be preferable to another. When I was anxious, he took my calls and helped me avoid rushing decisions. In addition to Dr. Peterson, I had procedures scheduled with Dr. Zoneraich for egg retrieval and one appointment with Dr. Larson. Both were kind and understanding. Although I was not their primary patient, they always made me feel like their most important patient and patiently answered all my questions. Everyone was perfect, from the front desk and Kelly, who performed all my ultrasounds, to my navigator Savannah. Choosing this clinic was the best decision I have made. 12/10, highly recommended.

I cannot say enough about my experience at AFC. It was a pleasure working with everyone there. Dr. Z is a wonderful physician who thoroughly explained every treatment option and possibility, which greatly helped me make decisions. He is highly knowledgeable, and you can feel confident entrusting your treatment to him. Allison is very kind and answers every question. She guides you step by step through each cycle and ensures you are fully comfortable with treatment. Even in stressful situations, she made me feel at ease. The nurses are very caring, make you feel at home, and listen carefully to all your questions and concerns. My coordinator Brenda was wonderful. She kept me updated on treatment progress, responded very quickly, and ensured I always understood the next steps. It felt like speaking with a friend because I knew she genuinely cared about my journey. The phlebotomists were excellent, and I never had any problems with blood draws. They worked so quickly that I barely noticed the blood had been drawn! Overall, I felt respected and valued, and my treatment was personalized, which made me comfortable. I would absolutely recommend AFC to everyone.

This clinic is for you if you (i) enjoy excessively long wait times, (ii) like speaking with rude receptionists, (iii) want the chance to experience chaotic scheduling and missed appointments, (iv) enjoy unclear results that may or may not be provided, or (v) like overpaying for services. Yes, I encountered all of these problems.

AFC is wonderful! Although I needed fertility treatment, I am so glad to be with AFC. Communication was excellent, especially from my coordinator Sandra. She made the intimidating parts of the medication process feel manageable. Thanks also to Allison and her assistant. They had a wonderful bedside manner and were both patient. I only met my doctor, Dr. Z, once, but he also communicated well. Thank you, AFC!

New review, 2025/2/10: In 2024/6, I completed an authorization to release all my records. The form is valid for one year from the signature date. On 2025/2/10, I messaged them to request images they had not provided and was told, for no reason, that I had to complete a new authorization. They cannot even read their own form, which says it is valid for a full year. They are a terrible organization! I completed the form and requested additional information so I would not have to interact with them again. ****************** Original review: This company recently took over my fertility doctor's practice in Tucson. Since then, there have been major, unexpected changes in costs and treatment plans. Since the takeover, I have noticed a major change in the feeling and atmosphere of his office. I no longer feel like a patient or that AFC understands every family's fertility journey is different and should be treated accordingly. I am now forced either to pay $585 or more each month, including 1-4 or more clinic visits and 1-2 laboratory draws monthly, or find another clinic in Phoenix that accepts my insurance. I drive 90 minutes each way to see my doctor. Phoenix is a 3-hour drive each way. It was unacceptable to receive this information in the middle of treatment, and only because I contacted them to say my period had started. My clinic staff also told me they did not even know my insurance would be dropped until the merger/acquisition documents were signed. That seems... wrong. They have now caused significant additional stress, when should you not have less stress while trying to become pregnant? I only hope they reach an agreement with my insurer or get it to approve direct reimbursement. The vice president of operations was negotiating at the time of this review. If that happens, managing what feels like a million appointments may be possible. As things stand, the many appointments and unexpected costs feel like a slap in the face.

My wife and I are so happy we chose to work with Advanced Fertility Care. We loved our experience with everyone who works at the Scottsdale location, especially Yanely who was our coordinator. After trying to become pregnant with another doctor for two years, a friend referred me to Dr. Larsen. After meeting and speaking with him, my husband and I immediately felt comfortable. He took time to talk with us and explain his perspective on everything in more detail than our other doctor had. My new navigator, Brenda, was encouraging and always responded quickly, putting me at ease about every next step. I became pregnant in less than a year. I have now graduated from the clinic and started obstetric care. I am very grateful to Dr. Larsen and his team and for the clear concern they showed for my personal journey. Wonderful staff! My husband always faints and feels terrible after blood draws. I explained our concerns, and the staff let us remain in the room while he recovered. Words cannot fully express how wonderful my experience was under the care of Dr. Larsen and his Advanced Fertility Care team. From the moment I contacted the office and connected with Brenda, who became my nurse coordinator throughout IVF, I immediately felt reassured and welcomed. During my first virtual appointment, I spoke one-on-one with Dr. Larsen, and it was clear that his knowledge and clinical manner were first-rate. In fact, every doctor, PA—especially Allison—nurse, phlebotomist, embryologist, anesthetist, billing employee, and other team member I encountered was exceptional in skill, patient communication, and care. Before coming to this clinic, my journey had been extremely difficult and involved rare diagnoses, providers who lacked diagnostic knowledge, and poor communication and compassion for what I was experiencing as a patient. This had made me a very anxious patient, and Dr. Larsen and his entire team treated me with grace and compassion. I never felt that my concerns were dismissed, foolish, or unresolved. I will never forget this team and will always be grateful to every one of them—not only for their efforts to grow my family, but also for the genuine personal concern they showed regardless of the IVF outcome. I strongly recommend this clinic to anyone needing a team that will fully support them through their fertility journey, however unlikely or discouraged they may feel. They route you to an unfamiliar call center where robotic staff simply go through the motions, regardless of what you need or are experiencing. Poor patient experience.

The medical staff are wonderful. The billing department is a complete joke. You receive random bills for amounts that were never quoted, agreed to, or expected. If you question why you must pay an unquoted charge, they say they will stop providing services unless you pay. After spending $20,000, it feels like extortion.

All of the employees were extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend them. 😀

Last year, I received care from Dr. Z at Advanced Fertility Care, which has locations in Scottsdale and Glendale. I interacted with all the doctors and PAs along the way. Brenda was my navigator, and she was wonderful. The entire experience from start to finish was five-star, without a single misstep. As an NP, I cannot express how significant that is. While under their care, I experienced an obstetric emergency unrelated to their treatment. They monitored me very closely and made sure I received everything I needed. I am now nine weeks along with my baby boy. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you.

AFC was an amazing experience for us! We had worked with Dr. Drew Moffitt at Arizona Reproductive Medicine Specialists and did not have a good experience. We were told we had no chance of having our own child and that I needed donor embryos. We wanted a second opinion and gave Dr. Kurt Petersen a chance; he exceeded our expectations. His bedside manner was excellent, he was punctual, and he understood our situation. We ultimately had a successful embryo transfer within one cycle and have just delivered our healthy baby. We are very grateful that Dr. Petersen went above and beyond and gave us a chance. Trying to conceive is difficult enough and is emotionally taxing, as anyone reading this can understand. The navigators are truly lovely. We worked with Alyssa, who was wonderful. I appreciated how she guided me through everything. I am a Type A person, so I asked her for a tentative schedule to know what to expect. Thankfully, she was patient and kind enough to call and explain my expectations in detail. I am very grateful. AFC's billing was somewhat delayed. Again, I am a Type A person who prefers to know costs in advance and when prior authorization will be requested from my insurance. Payment was the most stressful part of IVF for me. My employer has fertility coverage, and I preferred to have all charges processed through insurance before paying out of pocket, rather than seeking reimbursement. I had worked with another fertility clinic that understood the insurance process, and its billing department gave me tips about what to expect and how to avoid out-of-pocket costs. I could not have everything when changing fertility clinics. Overall, the experience was excellent. Working with Dr. Petersen and Alyssa was wonderful. Our baby was conceived with our own sperm and eggs, and the outcome was perfect. I will update this review again after our second attempt at the next transfer.

I was scheduled for an HSG test at this clinic on 2024/1/16. This was our second attempt to schedule the test. The first was at the Chandler location, where they canceled at the last minute after confirming with us only hours earlier. They called to ask whether we wanted a consultation, which we declined because we wanted to start only with the HSG. We suspected it was canceled because they wanted to make more money. When I asked why, they said the doctor had to make a change, after I had taken a day off work. We decided to schedule at the Scottsdale location. My husband and I were frustrated but still gave them a chance, although we had reservations because it felt as though they cared only about money. We have insurance and scheduled at Scottsdale. We did not want to pay more than $300 for a consultation; we wanted to focus on the HSG first and proceed from there. We spoke with them more than 5 times to ensure there would be no billing surprises. The self-pay price for the HSG was $460.00. We verified this, but during some conversations something seemed wrong. They kept saying the insurance had not been verified. We repeatedly called for confirmation. They said it was the beginning of the year and might take time, but told me to pay $460.00 regardless and that if the insurance was confirmed, they would refund the balance. We felt something was wrong, so we called our insurer and explained what was happening. The insurer offered to call Advanced Fertility Care and verify coverage with them, but Advanced Fertility Care refused, saying they could not do so because their paperwork was behind. On 1/16, I had only the HSG test, with no consultation. I again asked the front desk about verification, and they told me not to worry. I called for three weeks, and they finally told me to stop calling and wait. I received two questionable bills, one for $328 and one for $560. Naturally, we were upset and hoped they would resolve it. Instead, I was told with an attitude that we had to pay. The woman in billing said they charged what insurance allowed. I did not sign a document saying I would pay $460.00, and my husband was also there. They never asked us to sign or explained anything. We contacted them to ensure we were covered, and they knew what they were doing. She said the charges were for the HSG test and the facility. The consultation fee was what we had declined from the beginning. We are grateful for electronic systems that can record calls. Our goal is not to make the clinic look bad, but to ensure they do not mislead others. Please monitor your bills carefully and keep copies of everything. It is unfair to face this kind of stress and misleading billing while trying to become pregnant. The room was very clean, and the person who performed my test was very kind and friendly. That is why I hate writing this review. Once the issue is resolved, we will gladly remove it.

Thanks to Advanced Fertility, all its wonderful staff, and Dr. Larsen, my partner and I are expecting a child this year. The IUI process was straightforward, and everyone was very direct with us. We were among the fortunate people who conceived on the first attempt, and I believe Dr. Larsen and his staff made that possible. Both the Glendale and Scottsdale locations are excellent. I would 100% recommend them and plan to return for our next child.

The staff are patient-centered and truly take the time to explain everything. I highly recommend them.

The front-desk staff are unfriendly. Kelly and Allison in ultrasound are friendly and always supportive. Dr. Peterson is excellent. The problem with this clinic is Dr. Zoneraich: he is always rushed, communicates very little, and worst of all, recommended an egg donor for my wife. He showed no empathy for the psychological distress experienced by parents facing fertility problems. A terrible doctor. My wife became pregnant on her first attempt at Southwest Fertility Center in Phoenix under Dr. Gunnala and her staff. She is now five months pregnant.
