Laboratory Equipment

LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

Royal REP Fertility Hospital uses advanced international equipment certified by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. This includes a world-leading Leiter sperm quality analyzer that accurately assesses sperm motility and morphology; a Nikon SMZ1000 research-grade stereo microscope with two built-in cameras for simultaneous dual-wavelength image acquisition, advanced research, and live-cell imaging; and a Nikon TI-S inverted fluorescence microscope that captures images with greater sensitivity and contrast.

The hospital also uses Japanese ASTES drawer-style CO2 incubators certified by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. Their optimized chamber design significantly improves temperature, CO2, and O2 recovery. Each drawer has its own infrared CO2 sensor, electrochemical O2 sensor, and temperature sensor for independent control. ESCO time-lapse embryo incubators use time-lapse imaging to monitor embryo development continuously, record multiple parameters, and compress several days of culture into minutes of high-definition video, substantially improving the accuracy of embryo assessment and selection.

This doctor is wonderful! I had visited other clinics before, but some of my questions were never answered. Dr. Utanachai was very kind and patiently answered all my questions. My anxiety immediately disappeared, and I felt much better. After many disappointments, I finally became pregnant at REP IVF.

I had the opportunity to consult with and receive services from REP IVF, and I was impressed from the moment I entered the clinic. The staff provided clear information and excellent care. The doctor explained everything in plain language, which put me at ease throughout the treatment. The clinic was clean, had ample parking, and made scheduling convenient. Overall, it was an excellent experience for anyone looking for a fertility clinic.

Before choosing this hospital in Thailand for treatment, the Chinese-speaking representative was very proactive, responded quickly, and built our trust, so we decided to travel there for IVF. However, after payment was completed and treatment began, the quality of service declined noticeably. The Chinese-speaking contact who had originally assisted us became almost impossible to reach. Language and communication are already challenging for international patients, and when the point of contact disappears, it creates a strong sense of helplessness and anxiety. In particular, after the embryo transfer, we were not clearly informed about precautions or what to monitor afterward. Basic patient education and explanations were lacking. As first-time patients, this caused considerable emotional stress. When the outcome was not as expected, the hospital only briefly expressed regret and did not proactively check on my physical condition or offer further guidance. When we asked about next steps, we were told we would need to pay again for another cycle, but there was no complete explanation of why this cycle failed or how a future cycle might be improved. Overall, there was a clear difference between the quality of service before and after treatment began. Communication and support during treatment are especially important for international patients. I hope the hospital strengthens its follow-up process during and after treatment and improves the consistency and accountability of its Chinese-speaking representatives.
