Chiang Mai IVF Clinic was founded by a group of medical professors from the Division of Reproductive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, together with physicians, nurses, and medical professionals from the upper northern region. The clinic provides comprehensive infertility consultation, diagnosis, and treatment, ranging from basic to advanced assisted reproductive technologies. The founders believed that access to infertility care at public institutions remained limited because infertility was not prioritized in the same way as serious conditions such as cancer and injuries or chronic diseases such as diabetes. As a result, patients did not receive the fertility care they needed, while medical professors returning from overseas study could not fully use their new knowledge and experience because of limitations in facilities, medical equipment, and budgets.


The medical team at Chiang Mai I.V.F. is committed to advancing knowledge in reproductive medicine. Together, they invested more than 100 million baht to establish a specialized clinic focused on excellent consultation and targeted infertility testing and treatment. The clinic has some of Thailand's most modern medical equipment, including an advanced computer-assisted semen analysis system and reproductive hormone analyzers that can report results within 2-3 hours. The egg storage and embryo culture rooms are internationally standardized cleanrooms. Embryo incubators are computer-controlled, with backup power systems and generators for emergencies. Systems for freezing eggs, sperm, and embryos meet leading international standards.

We understand that infertility is a major issue with wide-ranging effects on patients, their partners, families, relatives, and close social circles. Specialized clinics offering these services remain limited outside major cities and may lack appropriate equipment and qualified specialists. Although many clinics in Bangkok provide fertility services, travel can be inconvenient because of congestion and high costs. Chiang Mai I.V.F. aims to provide an alternative for couples experiencing infertility who seek world-class care in a relaxed setting at a reasonable price. The clinic was established to give medical school professors a place to treat patients to their full potential without limitations in facilities or equipment. Patient fees cover operating costs, with remaining funds supporting education, reproductive medicine research, and new equipment rather than profit alone. Services are approximately 30-40% less expensive than at private clinics in Bangkok.


Chiang Mai I.V.F. occupies 4 rai near the Chiang Mai-Lampang Superhighway in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. Surrounded by nature and tourist attractions, it offers a relaxing setting and is only a 15-minute drive from Chiang Mai International Airport.     In my experience, the doctors appeared competent and professional, although I have no direct basis for comparison. The front desk could be better organized and friendlier. Feeling cared for is especially important when dealing with such a sensitive subject. Price transparency also needs improvement. Costs were not always clearly disclosed in advance, and we often received unexpected additional bills. A clearer overview from the beginning would have been helpful. The rooms were clean and the equipment was modern.

    I am currently receiving treatment from Dr. Worashorn, and I cannot praise her enough. She is compassionate and kind, with a gentle, warm manner. She is highly knowledgeable and makes me feel reassured. Thank you, Dr. W, for always patiently answering all my questions—I know I ask many! The staff are also wonderful 🙏🏼 From the cashier and English-speaking staff to triage and the medication/injection room, everyone is excellent. They are all friendly and welcoming, making every clinic visit feel comfortable. The nurses assisting Dr. W are equally kind and helpful. When I had surgery here, everyone—from the skilled anesthesiologist to the bedside nurses—was gentle and kind. Excellent clinical care and attentive service. As a foreigner from the United States, I did not know what to expect. I am very grateful to this clinic and highly recommend it for fertility treatment. Whatever the outcome, you will not be disappointed. I would give more than five stars if I could ✨✨✨✨✨

    Today I had an HCG blood test. The staff said they would call with the result in about two hours. One hour later, a staff member called, confirmed my name, and said, “Your HCG is high. You are pregnant. Please return Saturday for another blood test.” Then she hung up. I was overjoyed and about to tell my husband when the same person called again and said, “Sorry, we mixed up the results. Your test result is not ready yet.” I felt extremely upset and speechless. I spent hundreds of thousands of Thai baht, yet received such poor service. This mistake should never happen. Why did they not carefully verify the name before calling? They should know how sensitive this is, and checking a name before calling is not difficult. I have now received the correct result: I am not pregnant. After hearing the truth, I was disappointed not because I was not pregnant, but because of the clinic. Finally, I want to tell clinic management that staff training must improve. This must not happen again. It not only undermines the clinic's professionalism and value but also damages its reputation.

    Based on my experience requesting information, I believe the clinic staff's service needs improvement. When I asked about the clinic's programs, the staff only asked which program interested me and then explained that one. From a customer's perspective, someone seeking a consultation first wants an overview of each program so they can choose the one that suits them. This communication approach left me feeling that I had not received complete information. The tone and manner of the conversation were also inappropriate. Although the staff suggested using LINE for more information, people who make a special trip to the clinic in person may feel that their time has been wasted. I hope the clinic will consider these areas for improvement.

    Please remove the fingerprint scanning system. It is very strange. Everything else about the clinic is good, and I would give five stars if not for this issue. Forcing people to pay for this biometric technology is unreasonable. It creates many problems during use, and there is no identity verification when accessing the system. I do not understand its purpose.

    We have completed treatment twice. Most recently, the scientists called to tell us some details about the egg retrieval. During egg retrieval and embryo transfer, my partner had an issue: he forgot everything the doctor had instructed. When they finally discovered the problem, they said they would take special care of us. I do not know whether the hundreds of thousands of baht we paid were worth this level of professionalism.

    In early 2025, my husband and I traveled from the United States to Nova Scotia, Canada, to begin our IVF journey at CM IVF. Overall, our experience was excellent. Dr. Mattawanon was wonderful—very patient, clear in her communication, and thorough in answering all my questions. She ultimately helped us achieve a successful pregnancy! The front desk staff were also very helpful. Although I sometimes felt they were frustrated with me because of language or cultural barriers, they were great overall. If you travel abroad, remember that you need to be patient because practices differ from place to place. The cost was very reasonable, and CM IVF was extremely helpful.

    Good clinic with spacious parking and various drinks available. At first, I was confused about what to do after entering. The doctor was lovely. See Dr. Worajun. The doctor was attentive and made me feel comfortable flying back and forth from Bangkok. Fortunately, we succeeded in one cycle and had 2 little ones. Stay focused and avoid stress during the process; it is very good.

    Anyone considering this should think carefully. This is not a small amount of money. ICSI + testing 10 chromosomes + 2 embryo transfers + one month of hotel expenses cost over 300,000, and it did not succeed.     A very good place with spacious parking. The staff explain everything well. Follow their steps until you see the doctor. Dr. Natthapat gave excellent advice that reduced my stress, and I became pregnant the following month. Thank you very much 🙏🙏👍

    The hospital is comfortable overall. The older male specialist caring for my spouse and me is experienced, humble, caring, patient, and extremely thoughtful: 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆! However, the nurses' overall service was disappointing: only 2 stars ☆☆!
