Do not go to Kindbody for fertility treatment. I trusted this clinic, but all I received was incompetence and disappointment. They did not properly review my bloodwork, despite charging hundreds of dollars and saying the testing was essential to create a treatment plan. They also took no responsibility and offered no explanation for failing to do the work I paid them for: interpreting my bloodwork and scans to create a plan.
I came here after a miscarriage, hoping to have a child. I had blood drawn and scans performed and was told everything looked good and the outlook was positive. With a busy life, I trusted the professional opinion I paid for ($$$$), only to realize after treatment that they had not thoroughly reviewed my lab work. Had they done so, they would have noticed that the blood type shown by their lab did not match what I had reported from prior bloodwork and paperwork. KindBody's lab showed A negative, while my previous labs showed O negative, consistent with years of donating blood through the American Red Cross. I also confirmed this through another lab draw: without question, my blood type is O negative. They essentially treated me through three cycles based on someone else's blood sample and had no idea! My AMH fell from 1.7 before KindBody to 0.4 after treatment, a level seen in postmenopausal women. This was emotionally devastating because it is a lab value they place great emphasis on in fertility treatment.
When I discovered the bloodwork error after three treatment cycles, the nurse replied, "No, that is your blood/type," and Dr. Reynolds-Marelic said, "Oh, that is so strange; I have never seen that before." Doctor, if you had properly reviewed and interpreted my bloodwork, you would have caught this simple error, but you failed badly. Office manager Janeen then called and told me they had done nothing wrong?! I do not understand how the doctor and clinic could have no responsibility for interpreting my bloodwork to create a treatment plan after I paid them thousands of dollars. With no sensitivity, Janeen repeatedly demanded over the phone, "What do you want to do next?" When I said I wanted a refund, she laughed. After laughing, I made it clear that I wanted a child, but obviously not at a clinic that treats patients this way. It was deeply disrespectful and incompetent. Failing to identify a blood-type error in lab work is embarrassing and negligent and places patients at serious risk. When a patient reports O-negative blood on multiple forms but the prior bloodwork says A negative, that is a simple but unacceptable oversight for providers sworn to do no harm. If I had faced an emergency and received blood based on their lab work or interpretation, I could have had an incompatibility reaction or potentially died from receiving the wrong blood. KindBody's own website emphasizes the importance of knowing your blood type in determining proper treatment.
Furthermore, when they redrew my blood, I was repeatedly told I would not be charged, yet months later I was still receiving bills of more than $1,000 from the laboratory company.
Other issues included constant scheduling difficulty because the doctor commuted from a city several hours away, and the ultrasound staff always seemed to be new.
In summary, I was shown no respect and received no apology. No one at KindBody took responsibility for their obvious mistake; they simply blamed others. Regardless of how the error occurred, KindBody's staff—Dr. Reynolds-Marelic, the nurses, and other KindBody personnel—should have thoroughly reviewed my results, immediately identified the blood-type discrepancy, and brought it to everyone's attention. They completely failed to do so.
KindBody Columbus and Dr. Reynolds-Marelic should be ashamed of failing to recognize a simple laboratory error and respond appropriately.
This experience showed me that KindBody cares only about making money, not about delivering high-quality, thorough patient care. I do not recommend this clinic.

Dr. Marelic deserves five stars and is absolutely amazing, but sadly the company does not. Their financial team is terrible, communicates poorly, is rude, and is extremely unhelpful. They were also $2,500 more expensive than other local clinics I considered. Unfortunately, I have to save $2,000 and go elsewhere.

Kindbody made our dream possible. They showed us love throughout our experience and made the process as simple as possible. We became pregnant and are now raising our child, none of which would have been possible without Kindbody's excellent staff. We are deeply grateful and cannot wait to take our next journey with them.
