Dr. Malgorzata E. Skaznik-Wikiel has wanted to help patients become parents from a young age. “Growing up in Poland, my grandmother had a major influence on me. She was a nurse and strongly encouraged me to pursue medicine. My mother tells a story about me at around 13 or 14, talking about attending medical school and helping people as a physician. Being a doctor is not a job; it is part of who I am.”
Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel joined the Conceptions team in June 2023, continuing her commitment to improving women's health care, especially in areas such as infertility and fertility preservation. “I first came to the United States in 2004 for a research fellowship at Harvard University. It was a dream come true. I thought I would return to Poland after a year or two, but access to research resources and opportunities to produce translational research kept me here. Advances such as vitrification would not have happened without the strong research conducted in the United States. I joined Conceptions because they understand that science drives success in our field.”
Education
Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Colorado and an OB/GYN residency at Case Western Reserve University through MetroHealth Medical Center/Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. After attending medical school at the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland, she also completed a research fellowship at the Vincent Center for Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Many patients who are trying to conceive or cannot maintain a pregnancy experience profound anxiety, doubt, and grief. But science and research offer hope, Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel explains: “There are now many ways to build a family. From IVF to donor eggs and from PGT-A to fertility preservation, every patient has a unique story and set of circumstances that I need to understand as their physician.”
Although her early interest in ovarian function and fertility preservation was rooted in research, Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel recognizes that excellent science must be paired with the highest level of patient support and compassion. “When I first meet patients, I want them to feel safe and understood. Listening is one of a physician's best tools for treating patients successfully.”
Although most patients who come to Conceptions have been diagnosed with infertility, a growing number of fertile patients with known genetic disorders seek IVF with single-gene testing to help build a healthy family. Patients are also increasingly seeking genetic carrier screening before trying to conceive. Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel shares a patient story to illustrate: “I remember a patient who came to see me several years ago with severe hearing loss since birth. With no history of injury or infection, we investigated genetics. Testing showed that she was affected by a genetic mutation. We then tested her partner, and fortunately, he was not a carrier of the same mutation. This is about more than helping patients become pregnant; I want my patients to have healthy babies.”
When she is not helping patients build families, Dr. Skaznik-Wikiel spends her free time with her own family. “We love the outdoors. Our family often hikes and bikes together. I work hard for my patients because I know the joy a family can bring.” Although her musical interests lean more toward Mozart and Andrea Bocelli than Beyoncé, her three children have helped her discover new music. “I enjoy listening to what my children like. It reminds me that everyone ‘hears’ things a little differently, and I bring that perspective to my work with every patient, every day.”

The front desk staff member Shirley needs more guidance and interpersonal skills. She needs to understand that this is a major step for some people, and someone like her only makes pursuing IVF and getting more information harder and undermines their confidence. My primary doctor sent a referral, and when I explained its purpose, she rudely said, ‘We don't do that for men!’ I hung up because she left such a poor impression. She then called back saying, ‘I'm not sure what happened to our call; it was disconnected.’ No, I intentionally hung up. When I told her how she made me feel, she became verbally aggressive and defensive, choosing to defend herself before apologizing to me. No, thank you. This is a big step for me, and this experience has discouraged me from starting the process now. I will tell my primary doctor not to refer patients to this facility, and I hope this review encourages others to be careful about whom they choose during this process.

Do not go here. My husband and I regret the two years we spent at Conceptions (2022-2024). We saw red flags from the start but ignored them because we wanted answers. Both of our doctors were difficult to work with, billing was a nightmare, and I constantly had to advocate for myself or mistakes would be made.
General care: The clinic made many errors and oversights in my care, some of which delayed our timeline. Once I was given the wrong prescription and took it for three days before a nurse called to tell me about their mistake. There was no apology; it was treated casually as if nothing was wrong. The clinic ordered incorrect labs and often forgot to call to tell me to start medication, leaving me constantly questioning my care. By late 2024, I had lost confidence in the clinic.
Billing: This department feels designed to confuse and frustrate patients. Bills arrive only by mail and can be paid only by phone—good luck getting anyone to answer. We were not told how billing worked during our IVF consultation. The first communication I received from billing was a portal message with an $8,000 bill due that same day. Beyond the obvious issue, the craziest part was that I had heard nothing from my medical team, so I was billed for care that had not even been planned. The entire clinic seemed to prioritize money over caring for patients on a deeply painful and difficult path.
Doctors: Our first meeting with Dr. O in 2022 was terrible. It was clear she was reading our medical information for the first time during the appointment and was unprepared. Without discussing any treatment plan, she asked whether we wanted a very expensive genetic test. When I hesitated, she bluntly asked why in a very accusatory tone. It felt like a ‘gotcha moment.’ I could give many more details, but simply put, I found Dr. O lacking in empathy and consideration.
When we decided to stop IUI and pursue IVF, we asked to switch to Dr. Greene. Our first meeting with him felt like a better fit. He thanked us for giving Conceptions another chance and asked us to tell him about any concerns. We thought we were finally on a better path until some of the issues mentioned above occurred. I explained our concerns to Dr. Greene in detail and said we wanted to continue but hoped for greater attention to detail in our care. Instead of reassuring us, Dr. Greene replied, ‘Most of our patients feel the level of organization/support is appropriate.’ He even said they track their Net Promoter Score, whatever that is, because they want patients to be satisfied.
His response was the final straw. Dr. Greene completely invalidated our experience and suggested we should accept errors and oversights in this emotional, expensive, and detailed process. All we wanted was a simple apology for the mistakes and a commitment to improve, but he could not provide that. Our first meeting with him now felt superficial.
Unfortunately, for two years I believed the care we received at Conceptions was normal and that we simply had to accept it, but our new clinic has repeatedly proved otherwise. We are now at a clinic in northern Colorado and are amazed by the care we receive. Our new doctor is passionate about his work and has made us excited again. We feel he is on our side and wants this to succeed.
Leaving Conceptions was the best decision. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone.

We absolutely recommend Dr. Jiang and her Conceptions team!! After trying for a second child for more than a year, we sought help. We met with Dr. Molly Jiang and appreciated her bedside manner and how she simplified information so we could understand it. We live two hours from the clinic, and they truly worked around our schedule by arranging any appointments/blood draws that could be done locally. We went through the diagnostic stage and clearly ruled out options such as Clomid and IUI. From starting diagnostics in May 2024 to now, December 2024, we are 9 weeks pregnant! Now that we have graduated from IVF care, I can honestly say I will miss working with Dr. Jiang and her team.

I have updated this to 1 star because it has been a week since the representative ‘took my phone number so a manager could call me back.’ I still have not received a call. I still do not know where my embryos are or whether they remain frozen. I still do not know what we paid $90 per month last year to store our embryos for.
This place was wonderful when I was diagnosed in 2021. Everything was fully explained, they supported me and made me feel safe, and they retrieved many embryos.
Three and a half years later, I tried to access my online account. Apparently they changed systems a year ago, but I was never notified. I called as instructed on the website, and the receptionist argued with me and said, ‘I don't know how you access the new system.’ After spending $20,000 with you, I expect better customer service. I would expect a response such as, ‘I can't believe we didn't contact you, and I'm very sorry. I know this may be stressful; let me see how I can help.’ Do not say ‘I don't know’ and continue arguing with me. I am a customer you should make feel supported and safe. I was shocked by how your customer service representative handled her role. I had never received this kind of response from your staff before.

I would not say the past year of IVF treatment was easy or enjoyable—it was the most challenging year of my life. But I truly felt that everyone at Conceptions did everything possible to improve my chances of success, even when it was inconvenient for them. All the doctors and nurses were very kind and thoughtful, and I felt exceptionally well cared for.

We used Conceptions IVF services for six months before switching to CCRM in January, and we are very pleased with the change. I have never encountered a more unprofessional organization, especially one charging so much in the medical field. Surprisingly, many of Conceptions' problems could be resolved easily and are matters of common sense, but when patients are desperate and feel unable to risk losing access to these services, paying customers are often treated as though they should simply be grateful.
First, from top to bottom, we never experienced a customer-service-oriented attitude at any of their clinics. At best, they were cold and indifferent; at worst, rude and unresponsive. I understand that fertility clinics are profit centers and that many treat "patients" like dollar signs, but this could easily be concealed with a slightly more positive attitude.
Second, and I realize this is common in many areas of health care, their billing was extremely opaque. Itemized bills did not explain the charges, and emails and voicemails requesting clarification went unanswered. Again, even a little more attention to customer service would help.
If these two issues had occurred alone, I might not have written a review, and Conceptions might have retained us as clients, but unfortunately the situation at Conceptions was truly terrible.
After the initial consultation, my wife's hormone levels were found to be imbalanced, and she was prescribed medication to regulate them before we could consider IVF, which might take several months. That made sense. Strangely, however, only one week after the hormone imbalance was diagnosed, the finance department began emailing us regularly, urging us to start IVF and pressing us to prepay. This was extremely off-putting. It not only showed that the finance staff were out of step with the medical staff, but given the sensitivity and emotion involved in considering in vitro fertilization (IVF), you would think they would be 100% certain a couple was ready to proceed before pushing them to pay a $25,000 bill.
Next, we received a copy of another patient's bill along with our invoice. Think about that. This was clearly a violation of HIPAA and other data privacy laws. It also made me wonder who had received a copy of our bill. When I pointed this out to the billing representative, she did not follow up at all. I suppose patient privacy is not a priority there.
Finally, and most distressingly, Conceptions required my wife to undergo a very painful procedure during our initial testing. If the test had been necessary, that would be one thing, but CCRM has since told us the procedure was completely unnecessary. None of the other couples we interviewed who had undergone IVF or IUI treatment, approximately 10-12 couples, had been required to have it. They did not explain why my wife drew the short straw, but it certainly felt like malpractice.
In short, if you are deciding between Conceptions and CCRM, choose the latter. Run, do not walk. CCRM has none of the problems described above and has been easy to work with.
Update: In November 2024, we received a data breach notice from Conceptions informing us that a ransomware attack had exposed our personal data. Given that they had accidentally sent us another patient's bill and seemed unconcerned when I notified them, I was not surprised.

The customer service is absolutely terrible. This practice exploits the hopes and dreams of women and couples while treating them like numbers. We received our embryo results without a call from a doctor, nurse, or anyone else. I recommend avoiding people who see this only as a way to make money.

Our experience at this IVF clinic in 2022 was heartbreaking and frustrating from beginning to end. A hopeful journey became months of stress and disappointment because of repeated errors.
Billing and insurance problems delayed our start by a month, though they should have been resolved before my menstrual cycle began. I then had to visit four times to complete the same blood test correctly. Every visit felt like another setback when time and energy were already precious.
Worse, the nurse sent me the wrong medication list. I discovered the error only after researching the medications myself, which is frightening when you entrust your future to a medical team.
The most painful moment came after we had already been told the IVF cycle failed, when I received a call confirming a Doppler appointment. It felt as if no one was paying attention or communicating, compounding an already devastating outcome.
I would not wish this on anyone. IVF is heartbreaking enough without repeatedly checking your own care and struggling to communicate. I sincerely hope the clinic has made major changes since then, because our experience was unacceptable.

After three years of secondary infertility, we knew it was time to see a fertility specialist. Before meeting Dr. Chiang, I felt discouraged and feared our dream of expanding our family might never happen. From the moment I met her, her calm, reassuring manner restored my hope. My heart told me everything would be all right.
After nearly two years and three failed IUIs, we chose IVF. I felt many emotions on transfer day, but Dr. Chiang's presence gave me the comfort and confidence I needed. My trust in her deepened and strengthened my resolve.
I am now almost 11 weeks pregnant with our wonderful daughter. Dr. Chiang will always be part of our story and hold a special place in my heart. She is kind, understanding, compassionate, and excellent at what she does. Leaving her care is bittersweet, but I will always be grateful for her role in helping us achieve our dream.

Overall, our IVF experience at Conceptions/RMA over the past year was excellent! My husband and I both work in healthcare and had realistic expectations of what the system could and could not do. Staff communicated well, were friendly, and the overall process was relatively smooth and predictable. Dr. O is direct and can advise on questions such as, “What would you do if you were me?” A few times, I needed to send additional messages to clarify or change appointments or timing, which might be harder for someone less familiar with healthcare systems. But I trust their experience and embryology program and will return for our embryo transfer!

My husband had a semen analysis here, and they frightened us by saying we needed IVF. They were rude on the phone and raised many concerns. We showed the results to a urologist, who assured us everything was normal, and we became pregnant one month later. It was a heartbreaking waste of time and energy. They only want your money.

I waited more than three months for laboratory results. Eventually I told the financial department I would not pay until I received them. That finally worked, but the result was, “Inconclusive; please return for another $800 test.” After that, they completely ignored me. We had to change clinics.

I am reposting the review I was asked to remove. The manager told me I could call her anytime, but no one answered. I sent my nurse many messages this week and last week, with no response. It feels futile. This process is already stressful, and now it feels worse than before. I do not understand why. Previously, I would have given four stars. I have been a patient here since 2018 and have undergone fertility treatment for several years. I feel the quality of service has declined sharply. I need help, but no one responds.

Every nurse, doctor, and other staff member I worked with was highly knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. Our first embryo transfer resulted in pregnancy, and we welcomed our IVF baby at the end of January. IVF is not an easy process, but Conceptions and Dr. Bush provided excellent care and consistent guidance throughout.

This may be your best option for IVF in the Denver metropolitan area. However, go in with your eyes open: they are an administrative nightmare, and you will be treated as part of a standardized process rather than as an individual with input into your care. You must do exactly as they tell you or you cannot receive care; your opinions and life experience do not matter. However, they did what they said they would and helped us have a child.

I highly recommend Conceptions for any fertility needs or family planning. They are exceptional and personalize care to your individual circumstances and wishes. One of the main reasons we chose Conceptions, despite living more than 2 hours away, was the personalized care and attention to detail from every provider. Throughout the process, the care team was very open and transparent about expectations and options. We never felt pressured to do anything that did not align with us and could proceed at our own pace.
Special thanks to Dr. O'Shaughnessy and her staff for guiding us through a successful IVF process and helping us welcome our son this fall. Every PA and nurse who guided us was responsive and knowledgeable.
I encourage anyone in or out of state to meet with the providers at Conceptions. We began fertility treatment with 3 other medical professionals before switching to Conceptions, which completely changed our outlook on building a family. 5/5

Dr Bush is so talented. He cares deeply about his patients and is incredibly knowledgeable. It was hard for me to find a fertility clinic with exceptional results with the natural cycle. Dr. Bush worked with me in my individual medication sensitivities and truly tailored my plan to my needs as a patient. Over 80% of Dr Bushes patients leave with a life birth. That is among the top in the nation. Highly recommend.

My miracle baby is 8 months old and I couldn’t be happier! Nobody wants to go through infertility— it is emotionally, financially and physically exhausting. But I always felt better coming here. The staff was kind and respectful and the doctors, (especially Dr. Bush) took their time to do things well. I had one shot at a baby, so I was nervous every step of the way, but their knowledge and care, resulted in my perfect baby boy! I thank God every day & I’m very thankful to CRA.

After years of secondary infertility, we finally conceived with Dr. Bush's help. Dr. Bush is knowledgeable, but the true stars of Conceptions are the nurses, technicians, receptionists, and embryologists. Although I sometimes felt like just a number, communication was generally very good, and I found the care team excellent at advocating for patients. I recommend that anyone considering IVF research thoroughly and interview several doctors before choosing the best fit, but I would still recommend Dr. Bush and his Conceptions team to anyone in the area.

Although my first transfer was unsuccessful and Dr. Bush told us that would not always be the case, my second transfer succeeded, and I am now pregnant with twins! Conceptions is the best IVF clinic, absolutely one of the best in the country and even the world! Dr. Bush is brilliant and exceptionally calm, especially when leading your IVF plan as he did ours.
After years of infertility and recurrent miscarriages, we came to Conceptions. Following all the initial testing, we chose IVF because Conceptions has very high success rates. I almost did not proceed because the cost, stress, and fear of failure felt overwhelming. Fortunately, I did not let that stop me, and we completed the egg retrieval. Dr. Chiang performed my retrieval, and I had almost no pain afterward. The process was much smoother than I expected. I had been very afraid because of horror stories online. Everyone was kind and reassuring before and after the procedure. Our embryo transfer was very successful. After the first transfer failed, placing the embryo correctly required extra skill because my uterus is tilted. Dr. Bush personally performed a mock transfer before the actual procedure. He assured me the next transfer would work, and it did! We had a successful pregnancy and delivery. From IVF through transfer, the entire team made our dream come true. I still cannot believe we finally have a child, and I am so glad we chose Conceptions for IVF.
I want to add that some reviewers say they only saw their doctor once or twice. That may be true, but please trust that the doctors are working hard behind the scenes even when you do not see them. They tailor your treatment plan, review your blood work and results, and ensure you receive proper care. The IVF and transfer teams communicate all information from the doctors and work equally hard. Everyone at this clinic cares about you and your success. Before Conceptions, I had never had a positive experience working with a healthcare organization. They ensure you have every tool needed for a successful IVF or embryo transfer cycle, even when the process is difficult. The doctors, front desk staff, nurses, phlebotomists, embryology team, ultrasound technicians, finance department, and financial coordinators all communicate with kindness, understanding, and consideration.
I would choose Conceptions again and again. They are a world-class IVF clinic, and I am extremely fortunate to live nearby and to have undergone one of the hardest treatments of my life with these excellent medical professionals. I look forward to returning in the future to grow our family using our remaining embryos. I trust that we will be well cared for here.
Thank you to Conceptions and Dr. Bush for helping bring our miracle baby into the world! You are a true blessing in our lives!

After a year and a half there, failed IVF, no progress, and no explanation, I transferred to CCRM in Lone Tree. Dr. O had a poor bedside manner. CCRM quickly identified and treated the problem, and I am now 24 weeks pregnant after my first attempt there. I am sure pregnancy may go smoothly here for some, but CCRM worked better for us.

I am a new client. If you transfer to Conceptions, expect to repeat most or all tests previously completed at other fertility clinics and to undergo requirements not needed elsewhere. Research which doctor you want before your first appointment. I switched to Conceptions because they have multiple doctors, but immediately after my first appointment I was told that patients may transfer care only once. I will update this review depending on how ongoing care proceeds, but so far the experience has not been positive.

Conceptions was wonderful to work with throughout IVF. The nurses always responded promptly and treated us with respect and dignity. Although I might originally have chosen another doctor, she knew how to make the arrangements that allowed us to have a child. We are delighted to announce that, thanks to Conceptions, we now have a five-day-old daughter.

My experience was disappointing in many ways. Nurses and doctors made insensitive comments. Although I still wanted to transfer an embryo with abnormal test results for personal, religious, and ethical reasons, they offered almost no support. Someone said, 'Imagine if it had Down syndrome; that would change your life,' and they absolutely refused to transfer any embryo they considered unsuitable. I believe every embryo is a life, but I did not feel supported in that belief.
My original financial coordinator made an error submitting authorization, causing me to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for medication that could have been covered.
After retrieval, the doctor gave me upsetting news the moment I opened my eyes after propofol was stopped. My husband was not brought in, was not told, and I was given no next steps.
No one followed up after surgery until I contacted the doctor. I had nausea and a severe headache, and my final message to the nurse went unanswered while I was considering going to the emergency department. It felt as though they wanted to be rid of me after my failed IVF cycle. I felt abandoned and alone. That is why I cannot recommend them.
I had also prepaid more than $9,000 out of pocket for egg freezing, but the service was not performed because no viable eggs were retrieved from 8 follicles, as I recall being told while still groggy from propofol. I requested a refund. Initially no one responded; then I was told processing would take a long time, after which there was no further response. I had to dispute the charge with my bank.

Brent is the best embryologist at Conception. He was very kind and thoughtful and patiently answered all my questions. I was not satisfied with the doctors or nurses during IVF. However, I was fortunate to have Brent as my embryologist for my egg retrieval and frozen embryo transfer. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience at Conceptions! I never felt like just a number, which seems to be a common feeling at other clinics. From the front desk to the ultrasound technicians and phlebotomists, everyone knew our names and our story. Tammy was our favorite ultrasound technician and was even present for our embryo transfer. She was warm and thoughtful, and we were glad to have such a good relationship with her throughout the pregnancy. All the phlebotomists were highly professional, and we always enjoyed talking with them. They used humor appropriately to make frequent blood draws easier. Dr. Skaznik was our reproductive endocrinologist, and she cared for us deeply! Our case was not straightforward, and she helped us overcome many challenges, including uterine scarring, poor response to egg retrieval, and a thin endometrium. I am now 26 weeks pregnant, and I truly believe we would not be here without her. She closely followed our fertility journey and called whenever we received good news to offer her warm congratulations. The attentive care that Dr. Skaznik and the entire Conceptions staff gave us throughout our path to parenthood will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Conception played an essential role in our wish to start and grow our family from 2022 to 2026. Dr. O was wonderful—professional and meticulous—and we received exceptionally attentive care from her.
Molly, a nurse at the Rose clinic, supported us throughout. She truly cared and patiently listened to all my questions.
However, the billing team caused us many problems. They changed my contact details three times, entered incorrect insurance information, and never proactively called or helped explain the charges. I had to follow up constantly by phone and email. They delayed submitting authorization to my insurance, putting everything at risk. The staff did not clearly explain the services we received, and the accounting team was terrible and difficult to reach.

After trying for a second child, I realized that although I did not like being told IVF was my only option, they were helpful in other ways. IVF is their specialty, and if you want other options, you need to state that clearly.
Conceptions consistently took my bloodwork and cycle testing seriously and promptly provided the medications needed to prepare my body. I have hyperthyroidism, and they always ensured my thyroid hormone levels were within the range needed to conceive and maintain a pregnancy. When I became pregnant, they found that my progesterone was low and arranged testing immediately. They had me take progesterone for the rest of my first trimester. Without their early care, I might not have sustained the pregnancy. I also had an ultrasound at 7 weeks, earlier than my obstetrician would have offered. They have an excellent team. I do not know much about their IVF process, but the other care I received was excellent.
We were told IVF “was our only option.” I had to advocate for more ways to improve my husband’s sperm count. They suggested seeing a urologist “if we wanted,” but did not raise it proactively. Their affiliated urologist performed only a basic physical exam and then said we could proceed with IVF. I had to ask again about other options before he said we could do bloodwork “if we wanted.” These places do not want to address the root cause; they just want you to pay for expensive IVF. Fortunately, my husband’s sperm count improved after taking Clomid. We researched natural approaches, found fertility acupuncturist Jeff Fordham, and conceived naturally on our first cycle after three years of trying, without expensive invasive procedures. Research your options and advocate for yourself because you may not need IVF. I never felt they truly wanted to help me. However, the nurses are experienced and responsive. The billing department needs improvement. I called about a two-year-old bill from 2019, even though I had contacted them about billing in January 2021 and they confirmed I owed nothing. The woman was extremely rude when I asked about it.

If you want a place that treats you only as a source of money, this is it. They do not care about you. Not one of them does. You are simply a way for them to make money. After the consultation, you cannot contact your fertility doctor or arrange follow-up after a failed IUI. You can only message the nurses, who respond when they feel like it. You have no way to communicate with the doctor. There is no follow-up care, no testing during the IUI process, and nothing to determine whether the ovulation-induction medication they prescribed is working. They prescribe medication without testing and never monitor how it affects your menstrual cycle or body.

My husband and I had been experiencing infertility for over three years. We previously consulted a doctor who said she was the best fit for us. After reading her reviews, we decided to try intrauterine insemination (IUI) first and proceed to in vitro fertilization (IVF) if it failed.
However, when I told her by phone that our second IUI had failed and we were feeling very discouraged, she laughed at us. We also hardly ever saw her, perhaps only twice in six months.
A nurse refused to give me my test results because I had not received a bill, even though we always paid on time. She later realized it was her mistake and allowed me to see the results.
The nurses openly discussed patients' conditions with the front desk staff, which I found very unprofessional.
We later switched to a Shady Grove clinic closer to home and have been very happy there. We see the doctor after every appointment, the nurses check on us regularly, and we became pregnant less than two months after changing clinics.
I am now 7 months pregnant with our first baby and could not be more excited.
I feel the entire process would have been much more difficult at Conceptions.

We had numerous billing problems with our care that required repeated follow-up to correct, including identifying errors in claims submitted to our insurance and requesting refunds for incorrect charges.

Do not go here. My husband and I regret the two years we spent at Conceptions (2022-2024). We saw red flags from the start but ignored them because we wanted answers. Both of our doctors were difficult to work with, billing was a nightmare, and I constantly had to advocate for myself or mistakes would be made.
General care: The clinic made many errors and oversights in my care, some of which delayed our timeline. Once I was given the wrong prescription and took it for three days before a nurse called to tell me about their mistake. There was no apology; it was treated casually as if nothing was wrong. The clinic ordered incorrect labs and often forgot to call to tell me to start medication, leaving me constantly questioning my care. By late 2024, I had lost confidence in the clinic.
Billing: This department feels designed to confuse and frustrate patients. Bills arrive only by mail and can be paid only by phone—good luck getting anyone to answer. We were not told how billing worked during our IVF consultation. The first communication I received from billing was a portal message with an $8,000 bill due that same day. Beyond the obvious issue, the craziest part was that I had heard nothing from my medical team, so I was billed for care that had not even been planned. The entire clinic seemed to prioritize money over caring for patients on a deeply painful and difficult path.
Doctors: Our first meeting with Dr. O in 2022 was terrible. It was clear she was reading our medical information for the first time during the appointment and was unprepared. Without discussing any treatment plan, she asked whether we wanted a very expensive genetic test. When I hesitated, she bluntly asked why in a very accusatory tone. It felt like a ‘gotcha moment.’ I could give many more details, but simply put, I found Dr. O lacking in empathy and consideration.
When we decided to stop IUI and pursue IVF, we asked to switch to Dr. Greene. Our first meeting with him felt like a better fit. He thanked us for giving Conceptions another chance and asked us to tell him about any concerns. We thought we were finally on a better path until some of the issues mentioned above occurred. I explained our concerns to Dr. Greene in detail and said we wanted to continue but hoped for greater attention to detail in our care. Instead of reassuring us, Dr. Greene replied, ‘Most of our patients feel the level of organization/support is appropriate.’ He even said they track their Net Promoter Score, whatever that is, because they want patients to be satisfied.
His response was the final straw. Dr. Greene completely invalidated our experience and suggested we should accept errors and oversights in this emotional, expensive, and detailed process. All we wanted was a simple apology for the mistakes and a commitment to improve, but he could not provide that. Our first meeting with him now felt superficial.
Unfortunately, for two years I believed the care we received at Conceptions was normal and that we simply had to accept it, but our new clinic has repeatedly proved otherwise. We are now at a clinic in northern Colorado and are amazed by the care we receive. Our new doctor is passionate about his work and has made us excited again. We feel he is on our side and wants this to succeed.
Leaving Conceptions was the best decision. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone.

This location was personally the best for me. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My husband, however, did not have the same experience. We saw Dr. Jiang. She was friendly and responsive. The process was long and exhausting. The accounting team had to be micromanaged, which was the hardest part. We had to double-check everything to ensure transparency and that it was processed through insurance. Once we became pregnant, our obstetric appointments were somewhat unusual, such as being able to see the ultrasound or hear the heartbeat, though we did receive photos afterward.

I am writing this after ‘graduating’ from IVF today and being transferred to my OB-GYN for the rest of my pregnancy. I cried tears of joy because there were many times I thought we would never reach this point. Infertility and IVF are so difficult. Rearranging my work schedule for all the appointments, dealing with insurance, and all the injections were not easy, but it was ultimately worth it. Lafayette was my main office, and they were wonderful! We love Dr. Jiang! Bailey performed all my IUIs and was excellent, making an uncomfortable situation feel comfortable. The same goes for Pam and Gina and the many ultrasounds I needed for IVF. My nurses Alex and Jessica were wonderful! I truly appreciated their communication and attention to detail, which my first nurse unfortunately lacked, so I was thrilled when I was transferred to Alex. She made the process much easier, and I am very grateful.
My advice for women starting IVF and what I believe had the greatest effect on my results:
1) Acupuncture! Start immediately before IVF and continue as long as possible through egg retrieval and transfer.
2) Get enough protein! At least 90 grams daily, starting the day with at least 30 grams. After reaching my out-of-pocket maximum, I saw a dietitian and learned I had not been getting enough protein. Collagen in my morning coffee helped.
3) Drink 1 cup of 8-10 ounces of raspberry leaf tea in the morning. You can have too much, so do not overdo it. A cup of peppermint tea before bed helps digestion.
4) If you are physically/mentally exhausted, do not rush into another retrieval cycle. Give yourself a month if needed. Your body needs to heal to give you the best results. Protein can help your body recover! Starting another cycle before you are fully ready is hard on both your body and your bank account.
5) Do everything possible to manage stress and remain positive. Sometimes this meant screaming and crying in my car about how grateful I was for the opportunity to do IVF, as a way to release my emotions when overwhelmed. Reframe the narrative positively.
I had my best results after combining these things, so I hope this helps some women avoid as many retrievals as I had. Good luck, future moms!

I tried calling today, and the receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. She could not be bothered to schedule an appointment and said to call back later, without saying when. You would expect someone working here to be kinder and willing to listen to patients. Scheduling an appointment is not difficult. Recent reviews suggest many people have encountered the same ill-tempered receptionist. I hope this front-line issue is addressed or she receives further training in professionalism and compassion.

This clinic operates like a factory, funneling IVF cycles through numerous staff members with no individualized care. I began an egg-freezing cycle here and canceled after 8 days. It should have been canceled much earlier, but I was not allowed to speak with a doctor during the cycle. Each day, a different nurse repeated that cancellation was ‘up to the patient’ and that some patients proceed with only 1–2 follicles. I would never have chosen retrieval with 1–2 follicles, and I strongly believe they were trying to avoid a cancellation to protect their statistics. No one gave me useful information about why my daily egg-freezing results were far below expectations, information I needed to advocate for myself and cancel.
At consultation, they gave me a reasonable retrieval target based on my history and labs. They did not discuss the possibility of a poor outcome or that a first cycle could fall far below expectations. At the first ultrasound, the low follicle count clearly seemed wrong. Every later ultrasound showed extremely slow growth; by day 8 of medication, I had only one appropriately sized follicle. When I later spoke with the doctor, she said this was unexpected based on my initial labs and that a second cycle might be better. When I asked how common such a poor first IVF result was for someone my age, she said it happened ‘about 50%’ of the time. I was shocked that she had not mentioned such a common possibility at my first appointment. Knowing this would have helped me handle the poor results or reconsider IVF altogether.
The doctor also said she partly continued my clearly unsuccessful cycle to gather data for a future IVF cycle. I was never told this was one of her goals; had I known, I would have canceled sooner.
Everyone has different reasons and financial considerations for IVF, which affect cancellation decisions. Failing to explain these tradeoffs or honestly assess progress is poor medical care. During the cycle, patients can communicate only with nurses. One nurse is assigned, but a different nurse calls each day with medication instructions and knows nothing about your case. Once, my IVF nurse messaged that if the cycle did not improve, we could consider timed intercourse or IUI, even though I was freezing eggs, not trying to become pregnant.
The clinic made an already upsetting cancellation more stressful through poor communication and repeated misleading claims that we should wait for the next ultrasound to see whether more follicles appeared. In hindsight, my doctor knew for days that this was unrealistic and was using the cycle to gather data for a second attempt, which I will certainly not do here.
I hope this review helps prospective patients decide or helps current patients receiving impersonal care advocate for themselves. On my final day of medication, after enough complaints, I finally spoke with the head nurse. She honestly assessed my situation and the tradeoffs, and I canceled. If the other nurses had provided such complete and useful information, I would not be writing this review.

Dr. Greene is a brilliant doctor who has a deep knowledge of the latest advances in research and technology in his field. We spent a lot of time in the Lafayette office as well as the Littleton office, including over Christmas, which is a really hard time to be doing IVF, not being able to travel to be with family on the east coast. Everyone there, most notably the cheerful woman at the Littleton front desk (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name), made my partner and I smile and made us feel so welcome. We even look back on the time as a happy memory now, driving down to Littleton for an appointment and getting lunch or going for a little walk afterwards. We had two egg retrievals and one embryo transfer, so far I am almost 17 weeks along. The whole team from reception to nurses and lab techs did an incredible job taking care of us. I will never forget the ultrasound tech who gave me a huge hug when I graduated from the clinic at 9 weeks. I will say, if it’s your first time going through all of this, do your research every step of the way, ASK a ton of questions and advocate for yourself. If you aren’t getting the answers you need through the portal, pick up the phone and call your nurse. We had a few moments of frustration through the portal where our questions weren’t being explicitly answered, but it was always solved with a phone call. It’s your body, make sure you have all the information you need to make the best decisions for you. A big thank you to nurse Lindsay, nurse Ginger, and Dr. Greene. We expect to welcome our sweet baby girl into the world on April 1.

Our initial online consultation, bloodwork, and subsequent in-person follow-up were disorganized and poor quality. As an African American couple new to this sensitive and vulnerable subject, every meeting felt cold and transactional, focused entirely on what we could not do rather than what we believed God could bring us.
My husband and I strongly recommend revising the order of consultations and how each step is handled.
A general consultation should not encourage new patients to consider fertility options that may not even be available to them. Instead, it should mention potential options, all required procedures, and financial costs. What did we get for $200 and 30 minutes?! Bloodwork or an ultrasound could still be the next step to determine which options are feasible. That could actually be the first step, preventing families from developing unrealistic expectations or misunderstandings before test results are available. Finally, in-person follow-up should be caring, attentive, and compassionate. We were treated very harshly. Although I am direct and straightforward, this experience shows that everyone involved—doctors, technicians, nurses, and front-desk staff—should take a gentler, more humane approach. That change would have made us feel properly cared for. Unfortunately, we seemed to be just another number or statistic, because that was all they discussed at the follow-up meeting. We did not expect to receive information this way. It is only fair to share our honest feedback in the hope that openness can lead to change. We still look forward to growing our family and hope to continue working with Conceptions if our requests are addressed.

The website says 7:30, and the office door says 7:30, but if you call any location at 7:30, the phones are not answered until 8:30, even if an appointment has already been scheduled. If you book through a referral, they do not send text or email reminders, which is absurd. If you need to confirm a morning appointment, you cannot even call.
People coming here already face enough difficulty, yet they do not even provide appointment reminders by email or text.

Dr. Chiang was very nice and explained most things, however the lack of communication about cost is crazy. I paid out of pocket for expenses in Littleton and was told it covered the cost of blood test and semen analysis, then I get a bill from the lab also for the same fees. I know cost are different for different types of treatment but should be upfront about all the fees involved. I have been caught off guard twice now with fees and also about the option to genetic testing or to decline. The better option is to decline after hindsight. I was told better option to test because my insurance covered it. However that test was over $2700.00 and to decline would be $300 counseling fee with a counselor. I don't know if I will continue. I just started this process last month, February 2026 and already over spent what I had thought I would be spending just to start the fertility process.

My experience at Conceptions was very disappointing, especially under Dr. Chiang's care. I am sharing it to inform others considering treatment there.
At first, Dr. Chiang seemed warm and caring, but after our frozen embryo transfer failed, her view of our embryo quality and likelihood of success changed completely. I felt she was implying, “I told you it would not work.”
Communication with the nursing staff was also often poor. During my frozen embryo transfer cycle, I messaged about bleeding in early pregnancy and received no reply, causing significant anxiety.
At our first pregnancy ultrasound, when my husband and I learned there was no heartbeat, the sonographer quickly told us and left the room. A doctor or physician assistant should have delivered such devastating news.
After the miscarriage, my options were not clearly explained. I was told only about expectant management or D&C and had to ask about medication myself.
Other inconsistencies were confusing. Before the frozen embryo transfer (FET), Dr. Chiang said our embryos looked promising and we might not need another IVF cycle. After the miscarriage, the discussion changed, and after only one IVF cycle we were told embryo donation was the best option. Communication about embryo grading also seemed inconsistent. At one point after the miscarriage, I recall the doctor saying something like, “I was surprised the embryo implanted,” which was difficult to hear.
Despite completing all required testing beforehand, a cervical polyp was discovered during the FET, making me question whether everything had been adequately reviewed. I was also surprised that some post-miscarriage blood tests were not covered by insurance. Previous testing had been free, so I did not know I would owe additional charges until after the tests were complete.

After this visit, I felt that services were being sold to me rather than that I was being treated as a patient.
The process felt too sales-focused rather than medically grounded. The doctor rushed through recommendations without adequately discussing necessity, alternatives, or timing. In fertility care, where patients are already emotionally vulnerable, the atmosphere matters. Everything felt hurried and dismissive, leaving little time for thoughtful questions or processing information.
Most concerning, the doctor repeatedly gave incorrect pricing information. Accurate pricing and clear informed consent are fundamental to health care, especially fertility treatment, where costs rise quickly.
I strongly advise future patients to obtain written confirmation of every laboratory and treatment cost before signing consent forms and to take time to evaluate recommendations rather than deciding under pressure.

If you are considering IVF here, please read this. I do not recommend RMA or Dr. Robert Greene.
My treatment felt rushed and completely impersonal. I was 37 but was given a protocol and medication doses that I later learned are generally used for younger patients. Before egg retrieval, I received stimulation medication for only 6 days. Several physicians later confirmed that this was unusually short and increased the risk of poor egg maturity.
I raised my concerns. The doctor said we could wait but did not recommend it, effectively taking away any real choice. I trusted him to act in my best interest.
The result was very few mature eggs and no successful fertilization, even with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The emotional and financial impact was devastating and might have been avoided with more thoughtful care.
Just before my egg retrieval, a staff member openly discussed miscarriage while using extremely offensive language to mock God. As a devout believer in an intensely emotional state, hearing this in an IVF clinic was shocking, inappropriate, and almost unbelievable.
Fertility treatment is too important and expensive for patients to be treated this way. Patients deserve better. Please seek a second opinion before choosing them.

If you want a place that treats you like a source of money, come here. They do not care about you—not one of them. You are simply a way for them to make money. After the consultation, you cannot reach your ‘fertility doctor’ or obtain follow-up after a failed IUI. You can only message nurses, who respond only when they feel like it. You cannot speak with a doctor. There is no follow-up care, no monitoring during IUI, and no way to determine whether the prescribed stimulation medications are working. They prescribe medication without testing its effects on your menstrual cycle or body.
If you want effective help, contact the Comprehensive Women's Health Center or Women's Health Associates.
Do not waste your time or money here. They do not care about you; you are just a source of revenue.
When they have AI reply to your review at 1:30 a.m., you know how little they care. That says everything about this organization. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

I do not recommend this clinic at all. I no longer trust them with one of the most vulnerable times in our lives. In January, I began seeking fertility treatment at Conceptions for secondary infertility, had an initial consultation, and started testing. The consultation went well, and I felt the doctor cared, although she was already discussing IVF. We later discovered that Conceptions did not accept our insurance, so my reproductive endocrinologist and I agreed that my OB-GYN would order all tests so insurance would cover them. She gave me a testing list, and I completed everything in February, but I never heard from the reproductive endocrinologist again. Because all my bloodwork was normal, my OB-GYN and I continued testing and scheduled a saline ultrasound. I finally had the ultrasound in March, and it showed uterine scarring requiring surgical removal. I messaged both the reproductive endocrinologist and nurse at Conceptions asking about next steps, but received no response. I eventually called to schedule a follow-up to discuss the findings. The staff member was shocked that I had not been seen since my initial consultation in January. It is now late May, and my follow-up was scheduled for 3:00 p.m. today. At 9:00 this morning, I received a call saying the nurse was canceling because they had not obtained my results from my OB-GYN or called to request them before the appointment. Instead, the nurse blamed us for not completing a semen analysis, even though we had done it through another clinic and they had failed to obtain those results as well.
I have decided to switch to a fertility clinic that will not treat me like a number. I feel deeply frustrated and heartbroken because our fertility journey has not been easy. After our third miscarriage, we finally found some answers, but our reproductive endocrinologist’s lack of effort and communication wasted several months. I sincerely hope this clinic learns to take time to care for patients going through some of life’s most difficult moments.

The embryo freezing process was generally smooth and convenient. However, now that I actually need to use my frozen embryos, the process has become a complete mess. The doctor's team cannot meet the schedule he provides. Unfortunately, I have already raised this issue with the staff, but nothing has improved, so I decided to post this public review.
One of the biggest problems is poor internal communication. Their own scheduling issues have already caused a two-month delay, and they clearly have more patients than they can handle, since even the "soonest available" test requires a wait of at least 2 to 5 weeks. For example, a month ago we agreed to have a simple procedure after a test. It took them an entire week of phone calls to schedule it, even though they had previously said, "The scheduler will contact me." Everyone I contacted said, "The scheduler will contact me," and then I heard nothing until someone finally contacted me a week later. This so-called "follow-up discussion" was entirely unnecessary and provided no new information.
If this is how they operate, they clearly cannot properly manage a large number of patients.

Stay away! This clinic will undoubtedly treat you like a dollar sign rather than a person. One of their primary nurses, Lauren Moran, lacks the basic empathy, kindness, and understanding needed to guide you through the process. Expect passive messages through their messaging system without even a courtesy call to explain or provide context about testing needs/updates/costs/etc.
Do better.
The Littleton clinic, on the other hand, seems to have figured it out! If possible, do yourself a favor and see Sally, Hannah, and Katie in Littleton. They actually know what they are doing and show the kindness you would expect when dealing with the complexities of fertility care.

Amazing fertility clinic. Dr. Bush is highly knowledgeable and current on the latest fertility research, which gave us confidence throughout the process. He took time to explain every step and made sure we fully understood what to expect. The nurses were equally excellent—compassionate, patient, and always ready to answer our questions. The entire medical team's professionalism and support made the journey much more manageable. Thank you, Dr. Bush and your wonderful team!!!

Do not go here! The provider, Malgorzata E. Skaznik-Wikiel, truly does not seem to know what she is doing. They wasted so much of my time. They took my lab results, then 6 months later, when I scheduled my own follow-up, told me my vitamin D and thyroid levels were too low and would need to be rechecked in 6 weeks before I could start IUI. When you are struggling with infertility, there is no time to waste.
Nurse Tasha was wonderful and always answered my questions immediately, but the billing department was also disorganized; paying a bill should not be this difficult. I ultimately switched to Shady Grove, and the difference was night and day. The doctors at SGF genuinely care, and everything is much easier and more organized!

I store my sperm at Conceptions Reproductive Associates in Colorado, and they increased my monthly storage cost by 300%, which I can no longer afford. I received a raise, but nothing like theirs. Cost increases like this should be illegal, and I would not recommend them to anyone! Stay away!

I am a new patient, so I am not yet sure how things are here. However, I want to clarify the location for anyone who is confused as I was. It is on the third floor of the Evergreen Building. Google Maps shows the first floor and does not specify the building, which is incorrect.
I tried to submit a map edit but could not make it specific enough. I believe the business can update the map details to make things easier for patients. Unfortunately, my appointment was during the front desk's lunch break, so I could not reach anyone when I called. I figured it out after some searching. I just wanted to add this in case anyone else has a similar experience.

Learning that I needed IVF to have my own child was heartbreaking, but the staff at Conceptions were extremely positive and encouraging. From the front desk staff to the nurses and doctors, I felt that everyone was part of a team supporting me. Although I had only one viable embryo, they kept telling me, “You only need one,” and they were right! I now have a beautiful daughter, and it was all worthwhile. I am deeply grateful for the entire team's experience and knowledge and will always appreciate the care they gave me during my most difficult time!

I am writing to express concern and disappointment about a recent experience at your clinic that deserves reflection. I had an appointment today, July 29, 2025. Although I was running late, I stayed in contact with the front desk while traveling to the appointment. Despite this, I was turned away.
I understand and respect the importance of keeping schedules, especially in a busy clinical setting. However, I also work in healthcare as a mental health nurse, where we are continually reminded to approach patient care with flexibility, compassion, and a trauma-informed mindset.
I take full responsibility for not arriving on time, but the front desk continued communicating with me during my commute, which suggested I might still be seen. Being turned away at the last moment despite that communication felt abrupt and dismissive. It conveyed that efficiency mattered more than understanding the context of a patient’s experience.
In mental healthcare, we emphasize reducing barriers to treatment, recognizing the effort required to attend appointments, especially when a patient is struggling, and balancing structure with empathy. The way this incident was handled ran counter to that philosophy and left a lasting negative first impression.
I share this feedback not only from frustration, but in the hope that it will be received openly. A seemingly small issue such as arriving a few minutes late can affect a patient’s willingness to continue seeking care.

I debated for months before writing this review. Overall, my experience was poor. I am very grateful to the head nurse and regional financial manager, who took time to sit with me and discuss my concerns after I left a few days before my egg-retrieval cycle was due to begin. My experience would have earned one star, but the team's willingness to listen gave me some hope, so I rated it two stars.
The diagnostic phase was very difficult. We conceived naturally during that time but unfortunately had two miscarriages, prolonging the process. My nurse was tremendously supportive. She celebrated the pregnancies and mourned the miscarriages with me. Until I was transferred to the IVF team, I felt cared for during diagnosis.
Financial problems existed from the start. Their insurance estimate was wrong, prior authorizations were often not submitted, and I eventually learned that I could submit them myself—which was the only reason some were processed. The final straw was billing TESE (testicular sperm extraction) as TESA (testicular sperm aspiration), which made me realize my medical wishes were not being respected.
Communication between Conceptions and their recommended urologist was very poor. Their referral list even included a clinic that had been sued and filed for bankruptcy a year before we received the list. When we spoke directly with the urologist, we explicitly agreed to testicular sperm aspiration (TESA). Somehow, whenever Conceptions received the plan, it became testicular sperm extraction (TESE), which is more invasive and expensive. We repeatedly had to clarify these misunderstandings ourselves. We met with the urologist again, but Conceptions still recorded TESE and would not acknowledge that we had agreed only to TESA.
For context, my son was conceived through IVF when my husband had a low sperm count but normal function in ejaculated sperm. Their strong recommendation for TESE made no sense. Whenever I asked about a less invasive option, they dismissed me with statements such as “trust the doctor,” “we do not perform male genital surgery,” or “we do TESE often.” It did not feel like fully informed consent because every time I asked about alternatives, I was told to wait. The only time they said, “You have a choice,” was when I said I was leaving.
I had no concerns about Dr. Bush himself. He is brilliant and widely published. But something seems wrong with the clinic's operations and its partnership with RMA.
In addition to working full-time, I spent about 80 hours over three months speaking with insurance. Conception was much harder than I expected. When I left, I did not trust the medical team to respect my wishes, I knew far more than I ever expected about billing codes, NPI numbers, and prior authorization, and I was disappointed by the level of service.
At our next clinic, testing showed my husband's sperm fragmentation was 3%, an ideal level that did not require TESA or TESE. During egg retrieval, we used ejaculated sperm for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). All 8 mature eggs fertilized. We advocated for ourselves extensively, and it turned out we were right.
I will not tell you to avoid this clinic or go elsewhere. I will only say that if you choose Conceptions, be prepared to advocate for yourself. Insist on your medical needs. Understand your insurance benefits. Hold them accountable for prior authorizations. They are professionals, but the decision about risk remains yours. You have a voice.
I know the fertility journey is long and difficult, and many people feel desperate by this point, but do not let desperation drive you into choices you do not want. Persistence helps make parents. If you are reading this, take care of yourself. Put on your own oxygen mask first.

I am incredibly grateful to Conceptions and my entire care team. I am currently undergoing IVF treatment, and although the process is stressful and frightening, my care team has been truly amazing! Dr. Skaznik genuinely cares about my health and listens carefully to my concerns and questions. My favorite nurse is Lauren Moran! She is extremely kind, patiently answers all my questions, helps me at every step, and comforts me whenever I feel anxious or nervous. She is simply wonderful. Nurse Alyssa is also amazing. She was with me during my egg retrieval, and seeing a familiar face was very reassuring, as she had drawn my blood for monitoring nearly every day beforehand. She even knew a day in advance that she would be in the retrieval room and told me beforehand. She and Lauren were both so thoughtful and made me feel at ease! I am currently waiting for the outcome of my embryo transfer, but I am truly grateful to all of them and would recommend them without hesitation 💕

After my husband and I tried unsuccessfully to conceive for eight years, we visited Conceptions Fertility Clinic in the year 2024, during month 1. Fertility treatment is an extremely vulnerable experience, but unfortunately, our experience at Conceptions left us feeling ignored, dismissed, and deeply frustrated.
From the moment we entered the clinic, something felt wrong. The front desk staff were discussing an internal system transition and speaking loudly about other patients, which made us very uncomfortable. The entire clinic felt chaotic and unprofessional.
Before the appointment, I specifically made sure that Conceptions had received all my medical records. My obstetrician-gynecologist's office sent my records, test results, and my husband's test results, and I even brought paper copies to the appointment. Despite this, it seemed that they had not reviewed any of them.
Our consultation with Dr. Malgorzata E. Skaznik-Wikiel was very brief, lasting only about 15 minutes, and felt extremely rushed. We felt we were being talked at rather than truly heard. They asked very little about our eight-year fertility journey and seemed to disregard our concerns and past experiences entirely. At a time when we desperately needed care and understanding, the interaction felt cold and detached.
After the consultation, we were taken to a small office to discuss genetic testing. They drew blood and told us testing would be performed. After that, however, we never received any meaningful information about follow-up treatment. The only notices we continued to receive concerned billing.
Even more frustrating, our appointment was scheduled for the year 2023, during month 11, and we provided our insurance information in advance. Our insurance covers fertility-related services, but the clinic did not seem to complete prior authorization before recommending tests and services. Given that the clinic had about two months before our appointment, this lack of preparation was disappointing. Based on other patient reviews, others appear to have raised similar concerns.
When my husband tried to resolve the billing issue, we found the billing department rude and unhelpful. Instead of working with us to find answers, they added even more stress during an already difficult time.
Although this appointment was more than two years ago, it still weighs on me. A fertility journey is physically and emotionally exhausting, and patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported. Unfortunately, our experience at Conceptions made us feel like just a number and ultimately left us unable to feel comfortable continuing fertility treatment there.

Dr. Skaznik was very professional, warm, and friendly, which we had not experienced elsewhere. Although she recommended another retrieval when we had only one embryo, she respected our decision to proceed with the transfer—and I am now 18 weeks pregnant! We always felt that she focused on our specific circumstances, family, and goals rather than treating us like a number. One thing to remember is that, in our experience, you rarely meet with the fertility doctor, which can be difficult during such an intense journey. This was also true with Dr. Skaznik, but during the few appointments we had with her, she gave us plenty of time and never left a question unanswered.
