The finance department is extremely disorganized, with no internal coordination at all! They processed my payment without making a single note, then kept saying I had not paid the outstanding balance, so they would not schedule my embryo transfer. This seriously delayed the process! No one offered any explanation or apology.

I had a great experience. Both of my children were conceived through treatment at this clinic.

The medical care was very poor, and they rushed patients to start treatment. After one failed cycle, they told me at age 32 to use donor eggs.

The clinic is full of intermediaries, cares only about financial gain, lacks professionalism and service, and is poorly managed.

I am very disappointed with this location. I had my first IUI treatment in 2023, then paused treatment because of certain circumstances. I decided to restart this year and called to make my first appointment. After gathering all my information, Griselda told me they needed to contact my nurse, Tiffany Tseng, whom I had seen at the clinic in 2023. Later that afternoon, Griselda called and said I was not a suitable candidate for IUI. Honestly, hearing that when you are trying to become pregnant is heartbreaking. I will definitely not return.

Absolutely the best fertility clinic. They make a difference for everyone. They helped my daughter with her embryo transfer. ♥️🥰♥️

My experience at this fertility clinic was very disappointing. It was clear that the doctors were more interested in making money than genuinely helping patients conceive. The process felt like an assembly line rather than personalized care. Dr. Wilcox only saw me at intake, performed basic fertility tests, and prescribed medication during the critical period when I was injecting hormones, with no follow-up or monitoring. After that, I was simply scheduled for retrieval. When the retrieval results were less than satisfactory, he recommended repeating the same protocol without any additional testing or medication adjustments to improve the outcome. No embryo viability testing was performed, even though this is standard practice at other clinics. Although the clinic looks attractive, it is packed with patients, clearly showing that profit takes priority over outcomes. I strongly recommend seeking fertility treatment elsewhere. This clinic does not provide the care and attention needed for such a sensitive and important journey.

The building's security guard, assigned by this branch, was rude and confrontational. They did not want to address it. The staff here are not very nice. They did not tip the Grubhub driver appropriately despite the wait and their huge order. I had to make two trips to my car because of the large order. Avoid delivering here.

One of the main reasons I chose HRC Pasadena for egg freezing was Dr. Molly Quinn. Providers like Dr. Quinn are hard to find. She is intelligent, approachable, professional, and genuine. I was very nervous, but knew I would be well cared for when I met her. She immediately answered every email and made me feel cared for throughout the process. HRC is very lucky to have her. I was mainly under Dr. Quinn's care, but Dr. Gig also handled some monitoring appointments and seemed very kind. I am also very grateful to Alondra, my coordinator. She responds well to emails and is the sweetest. I had minor consultation/scheduling issues at first, possibly due to poor communication between the main call center and front desk. I gave 4 stars because the financial coordinator was difficult to reach.

The best care. I am a challenging patient, and even if we had not succeeded, I would have felt that we had done everything possible. Many thanks to Dr. Wilcox and the staff.

Dr. Wilcox ignored my chart and age and prescribed too much medication. When I was brought in for overstimulation, he said, “This is the worst case I have seen in ten years. Because you are young, I probably could have done less,” then walked out. I needed a wheelchair and was sick for a week. I only truly spoke with him twice and was passed among different nurses. My sister-in-law froze her eggs at the same time and had a better experience at every step. Now I continue receiving bills even though I paid everything, which is confusing and prolongs the terrible experience. Please go elsewhere. What should have lasted only one day left me suffering for a week. -------- After this terrible experience, I learned their egg-storage price increased by $150 in just one year! This place is predatory and will extract every dollar from you. I tell all my friends not to go; please listen to the reviews. Billing is the only department that answers the phone.

Dr. Llarena, Melody, and their team provided outstanding support during my fertility treatment. Their accessibility and responsiveness, especially Melody's, were excellent. From our first meeting, it was clear that Dr. Llarena is very compassionate and highly knowledgeable in her specialty. After every ultrasound, she sat down, took a breath, and asked what questions we had—as though she had all the time in the world—then answered each one in detail. She is patient, kind, and intelligent. I referred a friend to her, and my friend loves her too! Finally, being able to have blood drawn quickly was especially wonderful. I will always be grateful to phlebotomists Abby and Hasmik, who always smiled at me when I was nervous.

I had an incredible experience at HRC Fertility in Pasadena and cannot recommend them highly enough! From day one, I felt welcomed and supported. The atmosphere was calm, warm, and reassuring, which matters greatly during such a personal journey. Dr. Kolb and my nurse coordinator, Vikki, took time to explain every step of IVF and addressed all my questions patiently and clearly. Their expertise was evident, and I felt confident in their care. They tailored my treatment plan to ensure it matched my needs and goals. Throughout the process, Vikki communicated well and kept me updated on progress and next steps, which I deeply appreciated. The supportive environment and staff professionalism made a potentially overwhelming experience much easier to navigate. Thanks to Dr. Kolb and Vikki, I am now 4 months pregnant and doing well! I am sincerely grateful for their dedication and compassionate care. If you are considering fertility treatment, I strongly recommend this clinic, especially Dr. Kolb!

After unsuccessfully trying to conceive, I felt lost and distressed. I found Pasadena Fertility Clinic by chance. The doctor was professional and patient, carefully analyzed the treatment plan, and gave me confidence. The nurses were gentle and caring, comforting me during treatment and helping me persevere. I became pregnant successfully, and my baby is now one week old. I am so grateful to the clinic!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Molly Quinn, her outstanding assistant Josephine, and the entire HRC staff. From my first appointment, I felt genuinely cared for and supported. Dr. Quinn has an excellent bedside manner—she is warm and compassionate and always answers my questions patiently, thoroughly, and clearly. Josephine was equally excellent: organized, highly responsive, and genuinely kind. Together, they made the entire treatment process feel easy and even empowering. It is clear that both go above and beyond for their patients. I am deeply grateful for their guidance and support. I highly recommend Dr. Quinn and her team!

This was my first surrogacy journey, and I felt supported by everyone! All my questions were answered, and I am very happy with my decision and with working with this team. I look forward to another journey. Thank you!!

I had a very positive experience working with everyone at HRC. Hillary was wonderful to work with, and I would recommend HRC to anyone undergoing fertility treatment. I am now pregnant, and the process went smoothly.

As a surrogate, my first embryo transfer was at Fertility & Surgical Associates of California in Thousand Oaks, and it was successful. They were highly professional, guided us through the process step by step, and explained how everything should proceed. This location is my new surrogacy clinic, and it falls far short of my first experience. If I could, I would have the intended parents change clinics and use the one I attended before. This experience was strange. They asked me to arrive early, but we waited in the lobby far beyond the scheduled transfer time. We thought they had forgotten me. The clinic was overcrowded and felt like an assembly line, as another reviewer described perfectly. The transfer itself was strange and somewhat uncomfortable. My assistant said nothing; she simply began pressing on my bladder in awkward silence, and Dr. Wilcox looked as though he was asleep. My husband and I did not feel good about the experience. The office is beautiful, but unprofessional. Overall, we were very dissatisfied. I underwent another transfer because the previous embryo did not implant. I will update this review with more details about the second transfer. Update on the second attempt. This time was definitely much better. I had a different nurse—thank goodness!—who was much nicer and more willing to explain the process. We came early this time, so Dr. Wilcox seemed more relaxed, outgoing, and talkative. Perhaps it is better to be an early patient than a late one. My embryo implanted this time, and I look forward to the new journey! If you feel uncomfortable or have a poor experience, do not be afraid to report it. Tell the clinic. This is an extremely important and difficult process that you undergo with your own body, and you deserve a good outcome! You are essential to keeping the clinic running. Whatever type of patient you are, you deserve respect here and at every fertility clinic!

I completed three successful surrogacies with Dr. Wilcox! He and his team were always kind, explained everything thoroughly, and made me comfortable asking questions. Dr. Wilcox also performed my own egg retrieval and explained each step carefully to my husband and me. I love Dr. John Wilcox and HRC Pasadena ❤️

This was my first journey as a surrogate, and I am glad I chose this place. The wonderful team was helpful and kind. Thank you for giving me an excellent experience while helping another family become complete ♥️

My experience at HRC was wonderful. I completed two straightforward embryo transfers with Dr. Wilcox. Each first transfer succeeded; I know this is not always the case and am grateful that only one IVF round was needed each time.\nThe entire staff was supportive and helpful, making everything easier. I will continue recommending HRC to intended parents.

This review is long overdue. Watching my 15-month-old sleep reminds me how grateful we are to Dr. Molly Quinn and Josephine Lai, whose expertise and care guided every step of our fertility journey.\n\nMy journey with Dr. Quinn began in 2019 when we discussed my biological clock. Her warmth, meticulous care, and thoughtful guidance impressed me immediately. She reviewed my results carefully and supported egg freezing with clarity and empathy, never rushing or pressuring me. Our trust grew over time.\n\nAfter a natural pregnancy ended in miscarriage, we returned for IVF. Her skill and precise attention to detail were vital to our success. In the operating room, she showed calm confidence, technical excellence, and deep reproductive-medicine expertise.\n\nNo words or embrace can express our gratitude to Dr. Quinn for the gift of our son. We plan to return for our remaining embryos and feel reassured that they are in such exceptional, compassionate hands. HRC is fortunate to have her; she is truly one in a million.\n\nWe must also recognize the wonderful Josephine Lai. She was like an unexpected field of yellow sunflowers, bringing joy and positive energy to a difficult journey. Her enthusiasm and encouragement made every HRC visit hopeful.\n\nShe gave clear, thoughtful guidance without judgment or pressure. Talking with her felt like talking to an uplifting, grounded friend. Her personal care included sharing yellow Buddhist-style prayer beads and encouraging me to find my own symbol of strength. HRC is fortunate to have Josephine. Her care and encouragement were essential to our success, and I will always be grateful.

Our experience at HRC has been amazing. The staff they have there is top notch and I have to give a shout out to Vicky who was our nurse and like our case manager. She was on top of everything, explained everything to my wife and made sure she understood the assignment. Even when my wife was having difficulty during her first pregnancy, Vicky was always there quick to respond and or accomodate us into a quick appointment to calm our nerves. Dr Kolb is one of the best, takes his time and is very methodical in his approach and doesn't try a "cookie cutter' approach but an individualized approach because not everyone is the same. We've been surrounded by people that have gone to Dr. Kolb and his team, and it's all praise. Thank you HRC, Dr. Kolb , Vicky and the countless people at HRC that have given us our lil miracles.

I'm a first-time surrogate mother. I was afraid at first, but the team at my agency made me feel confident and guided me every step of the way, making this process seamless from start to finish. I consider it a very good agency to work with because they support us at all times, regardless of the language or state we live in. The agency has many people who will accompany and guide you and are properly trained to achieve positive results and ensure you have a quality experience. Working with California Baby Surrogacy is an extraordinary experience, and I'm happy I found this agency.

Our experience at HRC Fertility was wonderful. From the beginning, we felt that the team, including the nurses, doctors, and staff, was caring and fully committed to helping us. Dr. Wilcox was especially exceptional. He patiently answered all our questions and made us feel very well cared for. The clinic operated efficiently, and the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. We were always greeted with smiles and felt the team's warmth and trust. The clinic uses the latest technology to achieve results, which reassured us. We felt treated like family, making the entire process much easier. We highly recommend HRC Fertility for its expertise, dedication, and compassionate care.

Dr. Molly Quinn—a true miracle worker at HRC Fertility Pasadena When I found Dr. Molly Quinn, my AMH was only 0.1—an extremely low ovarian reserve—and most doctors would have declined my case. Even knowing how challenging it was, Dr. Quinn did not give up hope for me. She respected my determination, guided me step by step, and applied her best medical judgment throughout. With her exceptional skill, we ultimately succeeded—it truly felt like a miracle. I am 39 and one of two sisters; my older sister has never had children, so my family was counting on me. Dr. Quinn’s patience and expertise brought us joy and hope. The egg retrieval I feared most became the easiest part of the process—her gentle, precise technique made it completely painless and smooth. I had no pain, bleeding, or discomfort afterward. I am now preparing for my second cycle next month and am grateful to continue this journey with Dr. Quinn and her excellent nurse, Ms. Chen, who has always been patient and supportive. Dr. Quinn truly makes the impossible possible, and I will always be grateful for her compassion and skill. 🌸

My therapist encouraged me to write this review as part of my healing. If I could give this clinic zero stars, I would. Avoid it at all costs. I previously posted an honest review, and they accused me of being a fake account… classic gaslighting intended to silence a patient rather than take responsibility. Fifteen years ago, I was a patient of Dr. Nelson at Huntington Reproductive Center (HRC). He repeatedly canceled my IVF cycles and converted them to IUI without ever explaining the real reason. I later learned that I had diminished ovarian reserve, a diagnosis that was never clearly disclosed at the time. Those decisions cost me years, money, and emotional stability. The entire process felt profit-driven rather than patient-centered. There was no transparency, compassion, or honesty. Thankfully, I found another doctor who was candid about my condition and gave me real choices. I am now a mother… not because of HRC. If you are seeking fertility treatment, go elsewhere. Do not waste valuable time in a system that treats patients like numbers rather than people.

I highly recommend Dr. Larreina. She was exceptional throughout my fertility journey—knowledgeable, honest, thoughtful, and genuinely caring toward her patients. She knows the IVF field inside and out, always clearly explains the best treatment options, and never made me feel that my questions were foolish or unimportant. Before meeting her, I had seen five different doctors, and I can confidently say that she is the one I trust completely. Her entire team, especially Melody, is also wonderful—supportive, responsive, and genuinely kind. I am extremely grateful to have found her and would not choose anyone else to guide me through this fertility journey.

I had a wonderful egg-freezing experience at HRC Fertility. Dr. Quinn was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely supportive throughout, always taking time to explain every step. Nurse Josephine was also excellent—gentle, thoughtful, and attentive, making every visit feel easy and comfortable. Their professionalism and genuine care made an essential difference during what can be an overwhelming journey. From start to finish, I felt safe, reassured, and well cared for. I am very grateful to Dr. Quinn and Nurse Josephine for such a positive and reassuring experience. I also loved the women at the front desk :)

I am very grateful to Dr. Molly Quinn and Josephine for making my IVF experience at HRC so positive. My husband and I did extensive research and consulted several doctors before choosing a clinic, but after meeting Dr. Quinn, we knew HRC was the right choice. She patiently answered all our questions—and we had many—and listened carefully to our concerns. She was kind and genuine throughout the process. We never felt rushed, and I always felt well cared for. Josephine was wonderful to work with. She responded to emails very quickly, so I never had any problems with injections or treatment. She was always kind and made everything much easier. I am now 12 weeks pregnant after our first transfer and am very happy with my experience at HRC. I highly recommend Dr. Quinn!

This review is long overdue because I have been fortunate enough to experience the exhaustion and joy of new motherhood. I delayed writing because words truly cannot express my gratitude and affection for Dr. Kolb, his team, and everyone at HRC Fertility. My husband and I had the privilege of working with Dr. Bradford Kolb and his team. I am a busy independent retail pharmacy owner, and my husband is an active-duty Air Force service member stationed overseas. Dr. Kolb, his nurse Vikki, and the rest of HRC Fertility gave me tremendous support. For more than a year, I experienced their warmth and empathy. Dr. Kolb and Vikki were always honest about risks, chances of success, and the plan most likely to give our family the best outcome. Although infertility was difficult, I am glad I approached it with an open mind and understood that having a child still depends on chance and a higher power. Still, I knew I had a dedicated team with a plan to improve our chances. From the moment I stepped out of the elevator, the front desk warmly greeted me by name and always smiled. The wonderful phlebotomists encouraged me during blood draws. At every visit, Vikki, Dr. Kolb, and his nurse Katy stood by me, encouraged me, and gave me the support I needed while going through the process alone during my husband's service. The financial team also offered me “options” at checkout. For more than a year, they made me feel like family, cared for, and as though my case, success, and happiness truly mattered. Even after I successfully graduated at 10 weeks, they welcomed me back to visit, and I plan to return once my baby is about four months old and has received most vaccinations. To anyone facing infertility, I understand how difficult the journey is. If you keep an open mind, you will find that working with Dr. Kolb's team and HRC Fertility can be an excellent experience. I wish I had more words to express my gratitude, especially for how they supported me at my lowest moments. I am profoundly grateful to them!

I just completed treatment with Dr. Mabel Lee and am extremely pleased with the highly successful outcome. My recovery was also quick, thanks to Dr. Mabel Lee's exceptional skill. I am very grateful for her attentive care and steadfast support throughout treatment. She was professional, knowledgeable, focused, and dedicated to carrying out my personalized plan. She understood and listened to my concerns and remained calm, exceptionally professional, and focused on my results. I will definitely return to her in the coming years. Special thanks also to my team coordinator, Gladys. She gave me tremendous care and comfort, always responded promptly to my questions, and offered many warm hugs that helped me through the physically and emotionally difficult stages of treatment. Dr. Lee, Gladys, and the PASLee care team helped me remain optimistic and realistic. Although the process was difficult, especially from cycle days 5-6 onward, knowing that Dr. Mabel Lee, my nurse coordinator, and the team would support and comfort me kept me going. Rachel, Cynthia, and Nanette were also very kind and patiently explained how to prepare the medications. I highly recommend Dr. Mabel Lee at HRC Fertility Pasadena and plan to stay in touch with her! :D Dr. Mabel Lee at HRC Fertility is an angel! Thank you so much, Dr. Lee, Gladys, and the PASLee care team! :D The nurses and anesthesiologist at RSA were also outstanding. They made me comfortable and were highly skilled and thoughtful. Thank you so much!

Terrible experience. Everyone, including the doctor, seemed like a money-making machine. The doctor spent less than 10 minutes with us, barely reviewed the medical history, asked a few rushed questions, and immediately moved on to promoting services. After the examination, the doctor disappeared. Sales and finance staff then arrived and directly recommended IUI, even though the doctor had said we could consider medication first. I do not know what they were thinking; perhaps they only wanted more money. This organization is extremely irresponsible! I wasted $300 and will definitely switch providers. Unless you do not mind being treated like a fool, stay away 🙄🙄🙄🙄

    Very bad.
    Feb 23, 2026
At 39, I will be honest: my physical condition is not ideal. Every month, I am reminded how fragile this process is and how easily hope can disappear. Yet every month, Dr. Quinn renews my hope through her exceptional skill and precise judgment. Frankly, I am the kind of woman many clinics would view pessimistically. The process is long and slow, with a low chance of success. That is the reality of extremely diminished ovarian reserve. But Dr. Quinn never gave up on me. From the beginning, she was honest. She told me this could be a long road, with low success rates and slow progress. But when I told her I wanted to persist and succeed no matter what, she supported me throughout. She did not dismiss me or make me feel that wanting to try was unrealistic. Instead, she stayed with me throughout, supported me through every cycle, and did everything possible to help me achieve the best outcome. My situation is very specific: severely diminished ovarian reserve, a very fast-paced life, and a strong desire to have my own child someday. If you freeze your eggs early by choice rather than necessity, I have no advice to offer. You are on the right path. But if you are like me and did not realize that waiting until your late 30s to freeze your eggs would substantially reduce fertility, trust me: Dr. Quinn is the best choice in Los Angeles.
    Feb 21, 2026
I was shocked to see another patient with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) rate Dr. Quinn so highly. My experience was terrible. Despite my being 38 and having had two miscarriages, she did not order an anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) blood test. We then wasted what may have been my final good months on a saline ultrasound and two months of procedures that could have been completed in one if properly planned. Later, when I responded poorly to medication, she reluctantly agreed to order blood tests. Did she adjust my treatment plan? Barely. When I failed to respond a second time, she told me I might consider donor eggs in a few years. She offered no other medication options and did not discuss the decision with me. I felt like a liability to their statistics and was abandoned. HRC, however, was happy to hold my nearly $10,000 deposit for several months. After four months, I finally received a refund of about 90%. If you are over 35, I advise you to consider this clinic very carefully. Delays, a lack of individualized care, and inconsistent service may cost you far more than money.

Julia on the finance and billing team is amazing! She answered all my questions clearly and efficiently, making everything easy to understand. She was a lifesaver—thank you, Julia!

Dr. McDaniel barely listened to me. Instead, she lectured me at length about how terrible and damaged my body was because of my condition. She then performed an invasive ultrasound and continued telling me how bad my body was. It was humiliating. After the ultrasound, they put me alone in a room with a financial adviser, who yelled at me that my insurance would cover nothing. Do not come here. They are not doctors but cold salespeople who only want your money.

Dr. Quinn, I have been thinking about how to thank you. Honestly, this cycle was not merely clinical; it was creative. When everything departed from the “expected” course—even without a menstrual period—you did not wait for the calendar. You interpreted the physiology, trusted your judgment, adjusted the protocol, and created a miracle when almost no hope remained. This ability to rely on insight rather than convention is rare. Eight months ago, I could feel the uncertainty. Today, I see something entirely different: persistence, precision, and the determination to keep trying thoughtfully and strategically until a way forward emerged. Obtaining two mature eggs under these circumstances feels like a small miracle 🩷, and I know it was not chance, but your expertise. On a lighter note, I still think your surname is missing an “e,” because this was truly work fit for a queen. Thank you for not giving up on the process or on me. With heartfelt thanks, Niloufar

My husband and I spent considerable time researching fertility clinics before choosing Dr. Molly Quinn at USC/HRC Pasadena. We reviewed Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) data, read countless reviews, and had several consultations, but after meeting Dr. Quinn, our decision was immediate. Dr. Quinn is professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and practical. We especially appreciated her honesty and evidence-based approach. She never gave false hope, but respected our wishes and encouraged us to advocate for ourselves. She presented the facts, offered recommendations, and let us decide what was best for us. She was also highly responsible and responsive—most impressively, she personally performed my first egg retrieval during her weekend off. We also loved working with her coordinator, Josephine. Fertility treatment can be stressful, and Josephine's kindness, responsiveness, and organization were invaluable. She always replied promptly, handled every detail, and gave us genuine reassurance throughout. HRC is a large, busy clinic that can sometimes feel overwhelming, but we chose it because we valued its experience and expertise. From what I understand, experiences vary by physician. We are also very grateful to Maria in billing, who helped with insurance and encouraged us to submit claims we thought would not be covered, saving us a substantial amount. Three years ago, we had a successful embryo transfer and now have a mischievous toddler. I returned to transfer our frozen embryo and am now 30 weeks pregnant. I delayed writing this review because I worried Dr. Quinn would receive too many requests, but now that our family is complete, I do not want to stand in anyone's way! We are incredibly grateful for the care and support and highly recommend Dr. Quinn and Josephine.

After a long fertility journey, I am profoundly grateful for the care Dr. McDaniel and the team provided. From the first consultation through IVF treatment and ultimately pregnancy, I consistently felt supported, cared for, and guided. Dr. McDaniel patiently answered my questions, explained every step of treatment in detail, and developed a plan that gave me confidence and hope. The staff were professional, thoughtful, and responsive, making a potentially stressful fertility journey much easier. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, I am now preparing to welcome my baby and will always be grateful. I highly recommend Dr. McDaniel to anyone experiencing infertility or considering fertility treatment. They truly changed my life and helped me achieve my dream of becoming a mother.

I had a poor experience many years ago. Dr. Wilcox never explained his treatment plan and always sent his assistant to communicate with patients.

As a surrogate, my first embryo transfer was successful at California Fertility Partners in Thousand Oaks. They professionally guided us through every step and explained how everything should proceed. This location is now the clinic for my new intended parents, and it falls far short of my first experience. If I could, I would have my intended parents change clinics and direct them to the one I previously used. This experience was strange. They asked me to arrive early, but we remained in the waiting room well past the scheduled transfer time. We thought they had forgotten me. It was overcrowded and felt like an assembly line, as another reviewer described perfectly. The transfer itself was strange and somewhat uncomfortable. My assistant said nothing; she simply began pressing on my bladder in awkward silence, and Dr. Wilcox looked as though he was asleep. My husband and I did not feel good about the experience. The office setting is beautiful but unprofessional. Overall, we were very unimpressed. I am undergoing another transfer because the embryo they placed did not remain implanted. I will update my review with more complete information about the second experience.

The best care. I am a difficult patient, and if we do not succeed, I will still feel that we tried our best. Many thanks to Dr. Wilcox and the staff.

Dr. Wilcox ignored my chart and age and prescribed excessive medication. When I was brought in with overstimulation, he said, "This is the worst case I have seen in ten years. Since you are young, I probably could have prescribed less," and then walked out. I needed a wheelchair and was ill for a week. I only really spoke with him twice and was passed between different nurses. My sister-in-law froze her eggs at the same time and had a better experience at every step. Even though I paid everything, I continue receiving bills from them, which is confusing and prolongs the terrible experience. Please go elsewhere. What was supposed to last only one day caused a painful week. -------- After this terrible experience, I learned that their egg-storage price increased by $150 for only one year! This place is predatory and will take every dollar it can. I tell all my friends not to go; please listen to the reviews. Billing is the only department that answers the phone.

Dr. Llarena, Melody, and their team provided outstanding support during my fertility treatment. Communication was easy and responsive, especially with Melody. From our first meeting, it was clear that Dr. Llarena was compassionate and highly knowledgeable in her field. After every ultrasound, she sat down, took a breath, and asked what questions we had, as though she had all the time in the world, then answered each one in detail. She is patient, kind, and intelligent. I recommended her to a friend, who also loves her. Finally, the ability to have laboratory blood draws done quickly was especially wonderful. I will always be grateful to phlebotomists Abby and Hasmik, who always smiled at me when I was nervous.

After trying unsuccessfully to conceive, I felt distressed and lost. I found Pasadena Fertility Clinic by chance. The doctor was professional and patient, carefully analyzed the treatment plan, and gave me confidence. The nurses were gentle and attentive, comforting me during treatment and helping me persevere. I became pregnant successfully, and my baby is now one week old. I am so grateful to the clinic!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Molly Quinn, her wonderful assistant Josephine, and the entire HRC staff. From my first appointment, I felt genuinely cared for and supported. Dr. Quinn has an exceptional bedside manner—she is warm and compassionate and always answers my questions patiently, thoroughly, and clearly. Josephine is equally outstanding—organized, responsive, and genuinely kind. Together, they made the treatment process feel easy and even empowering. It is clear that they both go above and beyond for their patients. I am very grateful for their guidance and support. I highly recommend Dr. Quinn and her team!

I had a very positive experience working with everyone at HRC. Hillary was wonderful to work with, and I would recommend HRC to anyone undergoing fertility treatment. I am now pregnant, and the process went smoothly.

I completed three successful surrogacy journeys with Dr. Wilcox! He and his team were always very kind, explained the entire process in detail, and never made me feel embarrassed to ask questions. I even underwent an egg retrieval with Dr. Wilcox myself, and he explained every step thoroughly to my husband and me. I absolutely love Dr. John Wilcox and HRC Pasadena ❤️

I have completed 3 surrogacy journeys and worked with HRC. They were all wonderful. Dr. Wilcox is excellent, extremely kind, and knowledgeable about everything. The staff were genuinely helpful and caring, especially Kevin. I love him and consider him family after everything he did for me. I definitely recommend them!

My experience at HRC was wonderful. I completed two embryo transfers with Dr. Wilcox, and both were very straightforward. The first transfer succeeded. I know that does not always happen, and I am extremely grateful that only one IVF cycle was needed each time. Throughout the process, all the staff were supportive and helpful and made everything easier. I will definitely continue recommending HRC to intended parents.

This review is long overdue, but as I sit here watching my 15-month-old sleep peacefully, I cannot help thinking about how grateful we are to Dr. Molly Quinn and Josephine Lai. Their exceptional expertise and deep compassion guided us through every step of our fertility journey. Story time— My fertility journey with Dr. Quinn began in 2019, when I first met her to discuss my biological clock. From that first meeting, her warm manner, attentive care, and thoughtful guidance impressed me. She carefully reviewed my results and supported me through egg freezing with clarity and empathy, never making me feel rushed or pressured. That foundation of trust grew stronger over time. After a natural pregnancy ended in miscarriage, we returned to Dr. Quinn for IVF. Her skill and precise attention to detail throughout the process were essential to our success. In the operating room, she demonstrated calm confidence and exceptional technique, reflecting her deep understanding of reproductive medicine. No words or embrace could express our profound gratitude to Dr. Quinn for the gift of our son. We plan to return to her for our remaining embryos and feel deeply reassured knowing they are cared for by such an exceptional and compassionate doctor. HRC is very fortunate to have Dr. Quinn on its team. She is truly one in a million. We must also recognize the wonderful Josephine Lai— Josephine is like an unexpected field of yellow sunflowers, bringing joy and positive energy to a challenging fertility journey. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering encouragement made every visit to HRC feel hopeful and optimistic. She provided clear, thoughtful guidance without judgment or pressure, making the process easier to manage. Speaking with Josephine felt like speaking with a friend—uplifting, grounding, and encouraging. Her personal touches, such as sharing her strand of Buddhist-style yellow prayer beads, encouraged me to find my own symbol of strength during an often overwhelming process. HRC is privileged to have Josephine. Her care and encouragement were essential to our success, and I will always be grateful for her tremendous support.

Our experience at HRC Fertility was truly wonderful. From the very beginning, we felt that the team, including the nurses and doctors, was compassionate and fully dedicated to helping us. Dr. Wilcox in particular was outstanding, taking the time to answer all our questions in detail and making us feel as though she had all the time in the world for us. The clinic operates efficiently, and the staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. We were always warmly welcomed and felt comfortable with and confident in the team. It was reassuring that the clinic uses the latest technology to achieve results. We felt like family, which made the entire process much easier. We highly recommend HRC Fertility for their expertise, dedication, and compassionate care.

I am a first-time surrogate. I was a little afraid at first, but the agency's team gave me confidence and guided me throughout the journey, ensuring that the entire process went smoothly from start to finish. I believe this is an excellent agency to work with because they are always available to support us, regardless of where we are or what language we speak. The agency has many professionally trained staff members who accompany and guide you throughout the process, working toward positive outcomes and ensuring a high-quality experience. Working with California Baby Surrogacy was an exceptional experience, and I am glad I found this agency.

Dr. Molly Quinn—a true miracle worker at HRC Fertility Pasadena When I found Dr. Molly Quinn, my AMH was only 0.1, indicating extremely low ovarian reserve, and most doctors would have refused my case. Despite knowing how difficult it was, Dr. Quinn did not give up hope. She respected my determination, guided me step by step, and used her best medical judgment throughout. Thanks to her exceptional skill, we ultimately succeeded—it truly felt like a miracle. I am 39 and have only one sister, who has never had children, so my family was counting on me. Dr. Quinn's patience and expertise brought us joy and hope. The egg retrieval I feared most became the easiest part of the process: her gentle, precise technique made it painless and smooth. I had no pain, bleeding, or discomfort afterward. I am preparing for a second round next month and am grateful to continue with Dr.

I previously posted an honest review, and they accused me of being a fake account—typical gaslighting intended to silence patients instead of accepting responsibility. Fifteen years ago, I was a patient of Dr. Nelson at Huntington Reproductive Center (HRC). He repeatedly canceled my IVF cycles and converted them to IUI without explaining the real reason. I later learned I had diminished ovarian reserve, a diagnosis he never clearly disclosed. Those decisions cost me years, money, and emotional stability. The process felt profit-driven rather than patient-centered. There was no transparency, compassion, or honesty. Thankfully, I found another doctor who explained my condition honestly and gave me real options. I am now a mother—not because of HRC. If you need fertility treatment, go elsewhere. Do not waste precious time in a system that treats patients as numbers rather than people.

I am very grateful to Dr. Molly Quinn and Josephine for making my IVF experience at HRC so positive. My husband and I did extensive research to find the right clinic and consulted several doctors, but after meeting Dr. Quinn, we knew HRC was the best choice. She patiently answered all our questions, and we asked many, and carefully listened to our concerns. She was kind and sincere throughout. We never felt rushed, and I always felt everything was under control. Josephine was wonderful to work with. She responded to emails very quickly, so I never encountered problems with injections or treatment. She was always warm and approachable and made everything much easier. I am now 12 weeks pregnant after our first transfer and am very pleased with my experience at HRC. I highly recommend Dr. Quinn!

I highly recommend Dr. Larena. She was exceptional throughout my fertility journey: knowledgeable, honest, thoughtful, and genuinely caring toward her patients. She knows IVF inside and out, always explains the best treatment options clearly, and never made me feel that my questions were foolish or unimportant. Before meeting her, I had seen five different doctors, and I can confidently say she is the one I trust completely. Her entire team, especially Melody, is also wonderful: supportive, responsive, and genuinely kind. I am very grateful to have found her and would not choose anyone else to guide me through this journey.

I had a wonderful egg-freezing experience at HRC Fertility. Dr. Quinn was knowledgeable, patient, and very supportive throughout, always taking time to explain every step. Nurse Josephine was also wonderful: gentle, attentive, and able to make every visit feel easy and comfortable. Their professionalism and genuine care made an enormous difference during a journey that can feel overwhelming. From beginning to end, I felt safe, reassured, and well cared for. I am very grateful to Dr. Quinn and nurse Josephine for such a positive and reassuring experience. I also loved the women at the front desk :)

I just completed Dr. Mabel Lee’s treatment plan and am extremely pleased with the successful result and quick recovery, all thanks to her excellent skill. I am grateful for her attentive care and unwavering support. She was professional, knowledgeable, focused, and dedicated; she listened to my concerns and remained calm and committed to my outcome. I will certainly see her again in the coming years. Special thanks also to my coordinator Gladys, who was caring, reassuring, and always quick to respond. Her warm hugs helped me through the most difficult physical and emotional stages. Dr. Lee, Gladys, and the PASLee care team helped me remain positive and practical throughout a difficult process, especially from cycle days 5–6 onward. Rachel, Cynthia, and Nanette were also very kind and patiently explained medication preparation. I highly recommend Dr. Mabel Lee at HRC Fertility Pasadena and plan to stay in touch. :D Dr. Lee is an angel! Thank you to Dr. Lee, Gladys, and the PASLee care team!! :D The RSA nurses and anesthesiologist were also outstanding, skilled, thoughtful, and made me very comfortable. Thank you!!!

This review is long overdue because I have been fortunate enough to experience the exhaustion and joy of new motherhood. I delayed writing because I truly feel that words cannot express my gratitude and affection for Dr. Kolb, his team, and the entire staff at HRC Fertility. My husband and I were fortunate to work with Dr. Bradford Kolb and his team. I am a busy independent retail pharmacy owner, and my husband is an active-duty Air Force service member stationed overseas. Dr. Kolb, his nurse Vikki, and the rest of HRC Fertility gave me tremendous support. For more than a year, I experienced their warmth and compassion. Dr. Kolb and Vikki were always honest about the risks, chances of success, and plans to help our family achieve the best possible outcome. Although infertility is difficult, I am glad I approached the process with an open mind and understood that having a child still involves luck and a higher power. Still, I knew I had a dedicated team with a plan to improve our chances. From the moment I stepped out of the elevator, the front desk always greeted me warmly by name and with a smile. The wonderful phlebotomists encouraged me during blood draws. At every visit, Vikki, Dr. Kolb, and his nurse Katy supported and encouraged me, giving me what I needed while I went through the process alone during my husband's deployment. The financial team also provided payment "options" at checkout. For more than a year, they made me feel like family. They made me feel cared for and that my case, success, and happiness truly mattered to them. Even after I successfully graduated at 10 weeks, they continued to welcome me back, and I plan to visit again when my baby is about 4 months old and has received most vaccinations. I understand how difficult infertility can be, but if you keep an open mind, you will find that working with Dr. Kolb's team and the HRC Fertility team is an excellent experience. I wish I had more words to express how grateful I am for them, especially during my hardest moments. I am deeply thankful!

Terrible experience. Everyone, including the doctor, acts like a money-making machine. I saw the doctor for less than ten minutes. He barely reviewed the medical history, asked a few rushed questions, and moved straight to presenting services. After the examination, the doctor disappeared. Sales and finance staff then came in and immediately recommended intrauterine insemination (IUI), even though the doctor had said we could consider medication first. I do not know what they were thinking. Perhaps they only wanted more money. This is a very irresponsible organization! I will definitely go elsewhere. Unless you do not mind being treated like a fool, stay away 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I am shocked to read another DOR patient had a great experience with Dr. Quinn. Mine was not good at all. She neglected to get a blood test of AMH at all even though I was 38 with two miscarriages. Then we wasted what may have been my last good months on saline ultrasound and two months of surgeries (that could have been one surgery with competent planning). Then when I responded poorly to medications, she finally deigned to run blood work. Did she make changes to the protocol? Barely. When I didn’t respond a second time, she told me that maybe donor eggs could be an option in a few years. No alternate medication protocols, no working with me. Just dropped like the liability to their stats I guess I was. HRC was happy to hang onto my nearly $10k deposit for several months though. I finally got a refund of about 90% of it four months later. I would be extremely cautious and think twice about coming here if you are over 35. The delays, lack of individualized patient care, and inconsistency could cost you a lot more than just a lot of money.

At 39, frankly, my physical situation is not ideal. Every month, I feel how fragile this process is and how easily hope can disappear. Yet Dr. Quinn’s expertise and precise judgment renew my hope each month. Honestly, I am the kind of patient many clinics would not be optimistic about. The process is long and slow, with low success rates—that is the reality of extremely low ovarian reserve. But Dr. Quinn has never given up on me. She was honest from the beginning. She told me the road might be long, the chances low, and progress slow. But when I said I wanted to persist and succeed no matter what, she supported me. She did not dismiss me or make me feel that trying was unrealistic. Instead, she stayed beside me, supported me through every cycle, and did everything possible to help me achieve the best result. My situation is unusual: severely diminished ovarian reserve, a very fast-paced life, and a deep desire to have my own child someday. If you started freezing your eggs early, proactively rather than from necessity, I have little advice to offer. You are on the right path. But if, like me, you did not know that waiting until your late 30s to freeze eggs substantially reduces fertility, trust me: Dr. Quinn is the best choice in Los Angeles.
    May 3, 2026
Dr. Quinn, I have been thinking about how to thank you, and honestly, this treatment cycle was more than a clinical procedure; it was creative. When everything had moved away from the "expected" course, even without a menstrual period, you did not simply wait for the calendar. You interpreted the physiology, trusted your judgment, adjusted the treatment plan, and created a miracle when there seemed to be almost no hope. This way of thinking, based on insight rather than convention, is rare. Eight months ago, I could feel the uncertainty. Today, I see something completely different: persistence, precision, and the determination to keep trying, thinking carefully, and planning strategically until a way forward was found. Obtaining two mature eggs under these circumstances feels like a small miracle 🩷, and I know it was not chance but the result of your exceptional skill. On a lighter note, I still think your surname is missing an "e," because this was truly the work of a queen. Thank you for not giving up on the process or on me. With sincere gratitude, Niloufar

Dr. McDaniel barely listened to me. Instead, she lectured me at length about how terrible and damaged my body was because of my condition. She then performed an invasive ultrasound and continued describing how bad my body was. It was humiliating. After the ultrasound, they put me alone in a room with a financial adviser, who yelled at me that my insurance would cover nothing. Do not come here. They are not doctors but cold salespeople who only want your money.

Don't let them make you play doctor—advocate for blood testing. I’m writing this at 4:00 AM because the "what-ifs" won't let me sleep. My first embryo transfer failed, and I’m struggling to process why the burden of medical decision-making was placed on me. Despite having high blood concentration and a known clotting risk factor, I was told it was "totally up to me" whether or not to take aspirin. The healthcare system shouldn't burden patients with clinical decisions they aren't equipped to make. I shouldn't have been "deciding" on aspirin; I should have been tested for clotting risks before the transfer. Research shows that up to 79% of patients with multiple failed attempts have undiagnosed clotting or immune issues. Hypercoagulability can cause tiny clots in the uterine lining, starving the embryo of oxygen and nutrients. The emotional toll of a failed transfer is massive, and feeling like a preventable oversight occurred makes it so much harder. If you are starting this journey, please—don't just "choose" to take the aspirin. Demand the blood tests first. My hope is that this information saves another person from the pain of losing an embryo and the unnecessary guilt that follows. This journey is difficult enough without the added burden of wondering 'what if’. 💔

My husband and I spent considerable time researching fertility clinics before choosing Dr. Molly Quinn at USC/HRC Fertility's Pasadena location. We reviewed Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) data, read countless reviews, and attended several consultations, but after meeting Dr. Quinn, our decision was immediate. Dr. Quinn is professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and practical. We especially appreciated her honesty and evidence-based approach. She never offered false hope, but respected our wishes and encouraged us to advocate for ourselves. She presented the facts and her recommendations, then allowed us to decide what was best for us. She is also extremely dedicated and responsive. Most impressively, she personally performed my first egg retrieval on her weekend off. We also enjoyed working with her coordinator, Josephine. Fertility treatment can be stressful, and Josephine's kindness, responsiveness, and organization were invaluable. She always replied quickly, handled every detail, and provided genuine comfort throughout the process. HRC is a large, busy clinic and can sometimes feel overwhelming, but we chose it because we valued its experience and expertise. From what I understand, the experience varies by physician. We were also very grateful to Maria in billing, who helped us navigate insurance and encouraged us to submit claims we had assumed would not be covered, saving us a substantial amount of money. Three years ago, we had a successful embryo transfer and now have a mischievous toddler. I returned to transfer our frozen embryo and am now 30 weeks pregnant. I delayed writing this review because I worried Dr. Quinn would receive too many requests, but now that our family is complete, I no longer want to stand in the way! We are profoundly grateful for the care and support we received and highly recommend Dr. Quinn and Josephine.

I waited a long time to write this. I am actually writing this review from the hospital after giving birth. Dr. Norian and HRC helped us after years of unexplained infertility and loss. We will always be grateful to him and his team for bringing our baby into the world.

The staff are wonderful, and I want to recognize the entire team. We sincerely thank Dr. Norian for his kindness, care, and compassion. Suzie was excellent and a pleasure to work with. Many thanks to Irene for her patience during ultrasounds. The front desk staff were wonderful; Jasmine and Selena were very attentive, and Selena made the blood draw easy. Diana in billing worked with the insurance company to obtain coverage for us. We will keep you updated on our journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

Words cannot express how grateful we are to Dr. Norian and his team. From the first day we met him, he was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We welcomed a healthy baby boy this year and are incredibly grateful and excited. We will return next year for baby number 2 or 3, lol. We would not work with anyone else! Thank you so much, Dr. Norian and team. You are all amazing!

Do not go here if you have insurance they accept! Before scheduling here, my husband called our insurance company to ask whether HRC was covered. Because it was covered, we obtained the required referral from our primary care doctor. They said an initial consultation was $300 without insurance and $75 with insurance. Since our insurance covered it, we paid $75 two months before the appointment. We had the consultation, and the doctor ordered laboratory work. One week later, we completed the laboratory work at their facility. Later that day, we received an email from financial adviser Diana with our bill. Before the laboratory work, no staff member contacted us or said we would be charged. Diana then said our insurance did not cover it. My husband called our insurer again, and they confirmed that the laboratory work was covered. He emailed Diana this information. Diana then said they had never received our referral. My husband contacted our primary care doctor and had the referral sent again. Diana then said HRC was no longer in network. Why ask for another referral? They deceive people who are already insured. We will file a complaint against them with the federal government. If anyone else has this problem, look up the No Surprises Act.
    Jun 17, 2024
I was billed twice. I have been calling for weeks. If anyone sees this, please call me. Edit: My information is in your system. I do not want to post it here. Jasmine at the front desk knows the situation and can provide my contact information. Final edit: After they replied to this review saying they take the matter very seriously, I never heard from anyone.
    Apr 29, 2025
I chose this location because I live in the area and it was nearby. They misdiagnosed me and wasted my time. I would not recommend this clinic or HRC to anyone. Do your research before choosing this location. They may be less expensive than other fertility centers, but they accept so many patients that you are not a priority. If you are seriously considering this location, look up their Pasadena retrieval site, because you will most likely need to go there and the reviews are terrible. Diana in billing also gives misleading information. According to her, the government would pay for your IVF within a few months. This was completely inaccurate, and you will have to pay for all procedures. Giving people false hope like this is shameful.

I am a second-time surrogate and have been very fortunate to work with My California Baby's surrogacy team and Dr. Wilcox at HRC during both of my surrogacy journeys. My agency team held my hand every step of the way and made the process smooth from start to finish. I feel I chose an excellent agency to work with. Many people help and guide you throughout the process, and everyone is knowledgeable, considerate, friendly, selfless, and helpful. They truly began to feel like family. I feel very fortunate to work with My California Baby and all the wonderful people who run the agency.

HRC Fertility only took my money! The worst decision I made was going to the Rancho office. When I learned that my embryo had not implanted, I spoke with Dr. Norian. He only said that it was the holidays, he did not have a computer or chart in front of him, and we would discuss it in the coming weeks! He was rude and uncaring, with no consideration for my feelings or what I had gone through. Most importantly, I had two egg retrievals, and the embryos from the first procedure were abnormal. For the second procedure, he used a different method to try to create healthier embryos. When I asked why he had not used that process the first time, which could have saved us money, he could not give me a direct answer. I do not recommend this place! Diana in finance is the worst. She does not know what she is doing and does not return calls. If you want to be scammed, go to HRC Rancho and see Dr. Norian.

It was an honor to work with the staff at HRC Rancho and the excellent Dr. Norian. The staff were very helpful and always communicated with me promptly. Dr. Norian is simply amazing! I was very nervous about being a surrogate for the first time, but he made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. I am very grateful for all their help throughout the process.

We chose this clinic because it was close to where we live and met our insurance requirements. However, our experience worsened as the process continued. We obtained insurance through work, and the treatments appeared to be covered because I contacted the insurer before starting. We completed testing and then changed insurance, but were told we could still receive care here through the WIN program they use. I tried contacting the clinic about the next steps, but now they seem unwilling to see us. I keep being brushed off without any progress. Diana was supposed to contact me but has not. When I called the clinic, they told me to send my insurance card information to Diana and that she would contact us. I did so, but she kept asking, ‘Do you have a referral?’ They told me the clinic would request any necessary information from the insurer or contact me if I needed to do anything else. I find this very unprofessional. I have worked in a medical office myself and understand the importance of communicating with patients. This clinic either has too many patients and does not care about new ones, or selects which patients it wants to retain.

This review is long overdue, as my wife and I consulted Dr. Norian in 2024. Afterward, we felt that his ethics and overall manner did not align with our expectations. The clinic staff were also unhelpful in explaining policies, costs, and procedures. The whole experience felt cold and rushed, as though we were just another client. We ultimately chose another fertility clinic and are now expecting our first baby! IVF and infertility are long, stressful, confusing, and frustrating, so it is vital to choose a clinic that offers support, education, guidance, and care tailored to each patient and their needs. Only after completing reciprocal IVF at another clinic did we realize how many issues had never been mentioned or addressed during our HRC Fertility consultation. For example, Dr. Norian never acknowledged that my wife was the one undergoing treatment and egg retrieval because we wanted to use her eggs and transfer the embryo to me, even though we clearly explained this. Instead, he performed a vaginal ultrasound on me to count my follicles when he should have evaluated my wife's ovaries because her eggs were to be retrieved. The process was impersonal and not tailored to our specific needs. It felt like he followed a script with no flexibility, even though every patient's healthcare needs are different. He then told my wife and me that we needed another consultation to count her follicles, meaning we would have to pay again. At the time, we were unfamiliar with fertility clinics and IVF and did not know how the process should work. HRC Fertility clearly cared only about profit, which was the strong impression we had when we left. My wife and I would never recommend HRC Fertility. Do your research, and consult several other clinics before signing any contract! Best wishes to every prospective mother hoping for a miracle baby! 🩷🎀🌈🍼

I have my beautiful daughter thanks to HRC and the Rancho Cucamonga team. There is no greater gift than having your own child, and I would not have this blessing without HRC.

My entire experience was terrible. The financial staff were arrogant and rude and never notified me when charges were taken from my account. If you want to know what funds have been deducted or used from loans or accounts that require advance repayment, you have to contact them yourself. The statement I requested showed a $0 balance with no itemized charges or deductions, so I had to ask repeatedly for details. She told me to refer to my insurance explanation of benefits (EOB). I did, but that created another problem because her earlier estimate and the additional fees she requested were inaccurate. Her estimate said that embryo freezing, biopsy, and similar services were not covered by insurance, which was completely untrue. If she had verified it carefully, she would have seen that my insurance had already covered the egg retrieval performed at their clinic. Eventually, she finally sent me an itemized statement. I later had an egg retrieval with Dr. Norian at RSA Pasadena Surgical Center. After discharge, my pad was soaked with blood before I had even completed the 40-minute drive home, and for the next 4 hours I bled through a pad every 30 minutes. We called their emergency line 7 times, but each call was disconnected. I eventually tried different extensions because I did not believe that much bleeding was normal. We finally reached a receptionist who put me on hold and then disconnected the call. I later reached another staff member who also wanted to place me on hold, but I refused because I kept being disconnected. They had my coordinator call me back. After I explained what was happening, she had Dr. Norian call me. He said to wait an hour and see whether the bleeding stopped. My husband said no, and we went to the emergency room. Within 5 minutes of arriving, my pants were soaked with blood. I was taken in immediately. They found that the instrument used to open my cervix had torn it. While awake, I had to receive stitches and lidocaine to stop the bleeding. I called Dr. Norian and told him what had happened. He said it was strange and had never happened before. He did not apologize or offer any other response. I decided to leave this clinic and seek care elsewhere. Over the past three weeks, I have called five times for my medical records. Two weeks ago, I signed an authorization to obtain them. When I called last week, the receptionist said she would send them by the end of the day, but I still have not received them. I called again today and learned that the receptionist responsible for records is away all week. I cannot emphasize this enough: do not go to this clinic.

I am very disappointed with Dr. Norian and his team. My insurance company referred me to this clinic. HRC obtained authorization for my visit and called me to schedule. After trying to conceive for nearly two years, I was excited to finally see a fertility specialist, but I was deeply disappointed. The front desk staff were friendly, so I had no issue there, but once Dr. Norian brought me in, everything felt very rushed. I first watched a slideshow in one room about possible fertility treatments. That was fine, although it felt somewhat impersonal. We then went to another room for an ultrasound. During the exam, Dr. Norian's phone rang loudly twice. He declined the calls while performing the ultrasound and then began stating the results. We moved to another room, where I waited and again heard his phone ring, followed by him shouting at the person on the other end. It felt very unprofessional. When he finally entered, he sat down and told me IVF was my only option. I was shocked. He had not seen my test results, had no AMH level, and had not reviewed my husband's semen analysis. He based this conclusion only on my “age”—I had just turned 32—and follicle count. While waiting, I had looked online and found that my follicle count was actually good. I was confused and upset and could not stop crying. He left with little explanation and sent his financial specialist/office manager, Diana Sobjornsen, to discuss IVF payment options. Everything happened so quickly that I felt overwhelmed. She came in and said she had no record of authorization for that day's visit. I explained that the clinic had called me after receiving authorization from my insurance company, but she had no idea what I was talking about. We agreed that she would contact my insurer and call me back to discuss payment. A week passed, so I called her. She said she had no information and told me to call again in another week. I did, but still heard nothing. I ultimately left the clinic and sought a second opinion. I saw another doctor today, and the difference was remarkable. My new doctor gave me many more options than IVF, ordered testing in advance, and made sure to take her time with me. In short, do your research. If you can pay out of pocket to see a doctor who truly cares, do it.

I was a surrogate, and Dr. Norian transferred an embryo with severe growth restriction into me, forcing me to carry it. It was terrifying. He must have reviewed my parents' medical history yet proceeded despite their history of an infant with intrauterine growth restriction weighing only 3 pounds (about 1.4 kilograms), which he never disclosed to me. This was deeply unethical. He was also unnecessarily rough with me. The experience was horrifying and caused severe psychological trauma. Someday I will tell my story in a way people can understand.

Thank you to Dr. Norian and his attentive team for all their support. We began treatment in August and had an embryo transfer in February. We are now 10 weeks pregnant. Everyone communicated clearly, patiently answered every question, and took time to understand our situation. I felt supported at every step and knew that even on weekends, an email or phone call would receive a prompt response. I am very grateful to this team and highly recommend them to anyone facing infertility.

It took me three minutes to decide I would not choose this doctor as the professional caring for my wife and child. He openly disregarded my wife’s feelings on sensitive topics that a normal doctor would discuss carefully with a prospective patient. During our ZOOM consultation, before we were patients, John M. Norian asked about my medical and family history and whether there was any family history of intellectual disability. When I explained that I have a son with autism, he immediately apologized and exclaimed, ‘Oh, I am so sorry to hear that,’ then continued insulting my wife throughout our contentious encounter. I do not know who could honestly trust this backward bigot with their partner or child. Further research has revealed only skeletons and broken hearts. Stay away.

Would I recommend Dr. Norian? Yes. But not everyone will have the same outcome. This is a serious decision and an emotional roller coaster. The past 18 months have been extremely challenging. Be patient. Dr. Norian is very attentive and professional.

We struggled with infertility for about seven years. We completed IUI through insurance but miscarried at nine weeks, followed by three more failed attempts. A friend with two HRC babies recommended Dr. Norian. Seeing him was our last hope for a rainbow baby. We were very fortunate to receive care from Dr. Norian and his team. He is an excellent, caring, helpful doctor. Our patient coordinator Sandy was wonderful and promptly answered every question. Our financial coordinator Robin was also excellent. IVF is expensive, but she reassured us. We have graduated from HRC and are expecting twin rainbow babies! My husband and I cannot thank HRC and Dr. Norian enough.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Norian and his team. My husband and I scheduled a consultation after two unsuccessful years of trying to conceive. We ultimately went directly to IVF, and the process was much faster than I expected. We had an excellent experience. Dr. Norian and his team made us comfortable and answered every question and concern in detail. My nurse coordinator Michelle was outstanding and responded quickly to calls and emails whenever I had a question or worry. I am happy to report that our first FET succeeded, and when we are ready for another child, we will definitely see Dr. Norian and his team again. I highly recommend him and HRC Fertility. Everyone in his office was kind and helpful. The Pasadena office, where all procedures take place, is beautiful and state-of-the-art, and the staff have an amazing bedside manner and were wonderful to work with. I will miss seeing them weekly, but we are deeply grateful to Dr. Norian and his team!
