Our Clinic's Goals
We provide excellent reproductive and related healthcare for women, men, and children. To achieve these goals, we must:
Put patients' best interests first and exceed their expectations whenever possible.
Draw on continuing research, high academic and ethical standards, and our experience with advanced technology.
Educate patients and the community.
As we fulfill this vision, our greatest reward will be working successfully together and earning our patients' trust, confidence, and respect.
Excellence, Ethics, and Experience...
We are committed to excellent reproductive medicine and have an experienced team of physicians, doctoral specialists, and support staff who uphold the highest standards of medical ethics.
Although we see a broad range of patients from childbirth through menopause, we devote most of our time to couples with reduced fertility. For these patients, we aim to:
Achieve pregnancy as soon as possible.
Achieve pregnancy as cost-effectively as possible.
Minimize the risk of complications, such as multiple pregnancy.
Minimize the use of procedures with low success rates.
We hope this information clarifies our priorities and goals. We are sincerely committed to serving patients and providing excellent reproductive healthcare.
Appointments
Please schedule appointments as far in advance as possible. Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and telephone consultations begin at 8:30 a.m. Services such as follicular monitoring, insemination, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and blood testing are also available on weekends and holidays.
When scheduling your first appointment, we will ask a few simple questions to arrange an appropriate visit time. A receptionist will contact you one or two days before your visit to confirm. New patients should arrive 20-25 minutes early to complete the required paperwork.
Our clinic takes pride in running on time, which our busy patients appreciate. We can remain punctual only when patients arrive on time. If a patient is late, we may need to reschedule the appointment out of respect for others.
Appointment Cancellations
SRMS reserves the right to charge for late cancellations or missed appointments. If you must cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible so another patient on the waiting list can be seen.
Medical Records
Please send copies of your medical records and X-rays to the clinic before your appointment so they can be reviewed in advance. If you have had a hysterosalpingogram (HSG), please note that the images are held by the radiology department, not your physician.
After-Hours Emergencies
If you have an emergency outside normal office hours, call the clinic's regular number. Your call will be forwarded to the physician on call. Keep your telephone line available so the physician can call you back. If the line is busy, for example because you are calling 911, your physician may become concerned and may choose to interrupt the call. A physician will always be available to respond to your needs.
Routine Calls
Routine medical questions are handled first by nursing staff. Please allow nurses 24-48 hours to return nonurgent calls. If a physician's input is needed, your question will be relayed and the physician will contact you after reviewing your record. Your physician may have several calls to return, so please be patient.
SRMS reserves the right to charge for lengthy calls with a physician when the discussion would normally take place during an office visit.
Telephone Appointments
Because many patients live outside the area, we may schedule telephone conferences in a manner similar to office visits. Charges are based on the circumstances; please note that insurance companies do not reimburse these fees.
